Rob Pokorney: I haven't been inside to eat, but have gotten takeout a few times. Online ordering is easy and curbside responsiveness is impressive. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Breakfast Sandwich …More
Jamie Haruska: This is a great brunch spot with lovely outdoor seating. Portions were large and the drinks were on point. We had the breakfast tamale (so good!), the lox, and lemon poppyseed pound cake. We’d recommend all! Vegan options available.Recommended dishes Breakfast Tamale, Lox on a Sesame Seed Bialy …More
Will G: breakfast sandwich was bussin
Pedja Maodus: Odlična kafa i kapućino!...i nekoliko različitih sendviča koje sam probao su sjajni!!! ..i naravno, glavni sastojak je rovito prženo jaje u sendvičima!!
M: I will say the only negative experience we had was the wait time. We went on a Saturday during peak brunch time and expected to be told a long wait time. But, to our surprise we were told only 20 minutes which kept us there to try and we were excited for such a short wait. Unfortunately, we did wait about 45 minutes without any real updates on the wait. But, their hospitality and food surely made up for it. The restaurant is bright, open, and a lovely atmosphere. Everyone we encountered were very friendly and helpful (even the other customers!). Our male waiter surprised our table with grilled cheese and grits for our little kiddos and they were enlightened by the treats! We ordered some iced coffees, which we well made and delicious. Our food came fast and was equally as impressive. They have a healthy menu with local foods (meats, breads, eggs, etc.). They definitely care about their customers and the restaurant as a whole. Quickly served, checking up on customers, helping in any way possible. Customers around us got surprise desserts (which we didn’t expect because we got surprise kid treats). Overall, a lovely experience and can’t wait to be back.
James Truett: Really enjoyed our meal here. Nice little local spot. Service was good and the food was enjoyable. If I have some criticism here it’s that the food was a bit too salty. The food was very flavorful and the menu was fun. The decor is welcoming and inviting. Really enjoyed our morning here, would definitely recommend a stop by
Angelique Wright: "The food is great. The service is suspect."Kidding. This place is AMAZING!I wandered into Songbird by accident. I had been roaming the city and wanted some breakfast. They were pretty busy which I always take as a good sign that the food is good. I ordered the frittata. It was a large slice that came with a side of greens. I was expecting it to taste like a frittata but instead it was more like an experience. I can't even truly describe how good it was. It was light, not super buttery, but smooth like an expensive mousse with the perfect amount of mushrooms and spinach. It was well seasoned and just overall spectacular. I would highly recommend this dish. I would actually recommend going to St. Louis just to try it. Yes, it's that good!!! I also had matcha tea (the Baristas were killing it) & a sample of the yogurt parfait sandwich. Basically, I've deduced that everything coming out of this kitchen is imported straight from the gods. And don't forget to check out the bathroom. It's just as quaint.
krystal harrison: My friend and I visited last Sunday for our first time.I've seen the gudetama bathroom through friends pics and was determined to visit. We waited 20 mins for spots at the bar.Unfortunately there was some mixup and we didn't get served until I inquired after quite a bit of time. The wait was irrelevant though because as soon as they realized, 3-4 people went into action to serve us as quickly as possible. They treated us to the meal as an apology, even added a dessert as well and we felt so blessed by the experience.Honestly it really moved us that they were so determined to not have the wait be what we took away from the experience.I had a bacon, egg and sourdough with fresh orange juice that was to die for.My coffee was delicious. The parfait and lemon poppy seed bread was also great!Time well spent to experience this very cute and wonderful place filled with wonderful people. 💜 We will be back. Oh also my friend read me a children's book while we waited, courtesy of their selection on the bar and that was so cool.

Courtney Dwyer: I don’t know how they could have done better. The food was fabulous and so was the service! I cannot wait to come back.
Jessica Green: Such a cute surrounding neighborhood! This place is indeed a gem. The food was fantastic, beautiful and all the staff were super friendly! They gave us a complimentary ceasar to try and an ice cream sandwich from a local dessert shop - both were soo delicious. Seems like a staple of the community. Reasonable prices and generous portions. Worth a visit if you're in the area!Vegetarian options: The tamale was delicious 😋 Decent amount of non-meat options.
Leonardo Fuentes: Best breakfast restaurant! Enjoy a delicious Songbird latte and a breakfast tamale. If you going along take seat at the bar and watch the barista creating art, but if you want a table be patient this place is very popular and you probably will find a lot of people waiting. There is always the option of carry out, use the app and order in advance.

Kevin Hacker (Khacker): We decided to treat ourselves to Songbird for getting our 2nd booster. I had the Fritata, and my wife had the Combo. I think the fritata is my new favorite. The salad was a perfect blend of flavors. The fritata was smooth with a touch of sweetness. Update- 5/1/23-Celebrating 41st Anniversary at Songbird for lunch. This was an exceptional experience (my first time eating inside eating, carryout often). We had exceptional service thanks to Tim and Kayla. My choice was the pattymelt , very tasty not sloppy just the right amount of sauce. Tim brought us a ceaser salad with a homemade vinaigrette. This was very tasty Something to share while we waited for our order to be up. My wife had the breakfast sandwich Songbird's specialty. Songbird is in the Grove on the corner of Chouteau and Taylor. An awesome restaurant with excellent wait staff. Keep up the great service to your clients. Thank you for the dessert treat of strawberry and rhubarb ice cream sandwich in honor of our anniversary.Features: Not sure, but from the window no one was wearing a mask.

Bulrush StL Restaurant: what do users think?
Liz Hustedt: A uniquely unforgettable experience. My partner and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here in April, and I'm counting down the days until our next visit. The chef and staff go to great lengths to educate diners about food and history in the Ozark area in a way that feels meaningful, raises awareness, and frankly, makes me feel proud to live in Missouri. As an empathic individual, I was worried my ability to enjoy the food would be overshadowed by my own white guilt as I sobbed into my Ozark dishes, but that wasn't the case. Kudos to chef and the staff for their incredible work. We'll see you again this month.

Kris LaVelle: Delicious, one-of-a-kind, multi course meal. No two day's menus are the same, but all are top tier, unmatched quality, with locally sourced, historic, handmade dishes. Individual attention to diners by a most knowledgeable and caring staff.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jim Johnson III: Great new dining experience, but you have to have an open mind and willingness to try new things to fully enjoy it.
Timothy Schlueter: If you are in St Louis looking for a high quality and very unique experience this is definitely the place for you. I may not exactly be a world traveler but I have been in several countries including the US Canada France Belgium Germany and Italy, and in my travels this is actually the most unique restaurant I have been in yet. They specialize and regional ingredients and zero waste. From here you just have to go and experience yourself.Dietary restrictions: Clearly requested if we had any dietary restrictions, and offered to adjust our food as needed.
Merrill Kaye Arens: an incredible experience. out of this world food curated with care and love for the ingredients that shows in every dish.
Eduardo Sequeira: As an outsider when I think about St Louis food I imagine fries, burgers and barbecue.Bulrush just broke that stereotype because is an hybrid of fine dining, french cuisine techniques, history, local ingredients and Missouri cuisine.I will not be surprised if in the future Bulrush get a Michelin star ⭐✨This is the reason why we should go out for dinner 🍽️ and try a different stuff. The service was amazing and all the food arrived at the right time with the proper QR code with the explanation of the dish.Again another good experience at Bulrush.
William Bernard: I’ll try to spare you the fluffy adjectives, as I am not a food critic and cannot write like one. Words do not accurately describe the food at Bulrush.Imagine taking a walk in the woods of the Ozarks with an anthropologist, a botanist, and a culinary genius. You forage along the way, and one week later you’re invited over for dinner at their home. You get to watch the chef work and join a conversation with the other two while the meal is prepared. This is the closest description of our experience at Bulrush. The whole thing is very well done. Let your guard down when you go (because you will if you’re reading reviews). Ask questions. Rely on the staff. This place will change your perception of food and make you appreciate your back yard a little more.

Bomi Park: The best food experience I've had in St. Louis. Such a cool experience. Can't recommend enough! Super special.
Timothée Ouellon: Fun and tasty tasting menu focused on having zero waste and working mainly with local producers to have the freshest product. Liked the proximity and involvement of the staff and kitchen.
Abby Ford: My partner and I loved the Bulrush experience. Super appreciative of their attention to detail, investment in the Ozark history/community, and in-depth descriptions of each course. Obviously, the food was fantastic - great experience 10/10 would recommend. Thanks to the Bulrush team for helping make our anniversary fantastic!!(Also, I was nervous about the dress code, but there doesn't seem to be one - more of a wear what makes you happy/smart casual vibe!)
Mary Herrington-Perry: Offering authentic Missouri cuisine at its finest, Bulrush is one-of-a-kind!Vegetarian options: Yes!Kid-friendliness: Get a babysitter....Dietary restrictions: Let them know in advance and they will accommodate you.
Kris Lugosi: I'll give more of a review later but for now, this 7 course delight has me in tears. I had an emotional reaction to this food. If Christian Heaven serves this food, I will absolutely look into converting.
Cheryl Dennison: Truly a unique experience! Every aspect of the evening. Chef Rob views food and guests encounters with the meal as an event. I ate foods I've either never eaten or didn't like and LOVED every bite I had.
Brenda Smith: My boyfriend and I shared a fabulous evening exploring Michelin chef nominee Rob Connoley’s modern interpretation of Ozark cuisine at Bulrush STL. Each course was meticulously prepared and described table side. All ingredients are foraged by the chef himself and crafted into a constantly changing menu. The wines, hand crafted cocktails and ciders complement each dish. The service was exceptional. The chef is very personable and the mixologist was incredibly passionate about his work. The entire staff is very friendly. It was an excellent experience.
E P: Very inventive menu full of flavours. Great energy and research has been put into showcasing the Ozark’s cuisine. We appreciated everything and we ll be back for sure.
Graeme Harcourt: Bulrush is a statement

Phi X: Their food was meh at best...or mid.We had a breakfast sandwich and their special of the day, a Mac and cheese burger. We both chose potatoes as our sides and regretted it. There was no flavor to them and had to add more seasonings. The burger was good, wished it was cooked more as it was more of a medium vs medium well, but not a big deal. It needed a bit more sauce or seasonings on it as it was just lacking in the flavor department. The best thing was the gooey buttercake. That was to die for

Laura Moore: Be prepared for some heat with your main courses. Full disclosure, I read the description for lemon chili treatment with my selection, but could have heeded it more. In fact it was the lemon chili treatment that caught my eye. My seabass was prepared expertly and presented on a hubbard squash (i believe) mash that had fine flavors included, then dressed with mentioned lemon chili oil. Tasty, chili-ed and rich. The brocolini, sadly, was a bit tough, but the tenderer parts were very tasty. My friend also found her roasted chicken surprisingly heated in taste. She loved the vegetable combo for its presentation, but was similarly caught not anticipating the intensity. We'll be back, and more attentive to the descriptions. Thanks Russell's!
A D: Best club sandwhich!!Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Rhonda Newberry: Dinner was less than exciting. We went there to celebrate 2 birthdays and were very disappointed. They used to have a better selection and more reasonable prices. We won't be back and won't recommend to anyone
Loren Farmer: Wonderful place...outstanding staff...incredible cocktails and meal. A must!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Courtney Berry: Had a great breakfast with friends. The cinnamon roll was delicious, the French toast fantastic, and the Flatbread yummy. We grabbed some goodies out of the pastry case on the way out. Try the tiramasu and the lemon curd cake. They also have a variety of gooey butter cake, get that, too. You can't go wrong with anything you order. They had the back porch all cozy with heaters and blankets. We'll definitely go back again.

Cody Cummings: The Bellwether is a must for anyone that love fresh and flavorful dishes prepared in a creative modern style. My wife and I had a date there, and we chose to go a non-traditional route by buying all of their small plates and sharing the food over drinks. It was amazing, to say the least. All of their dishes are thoughtfully prepared and fit nicely together. The cocktails are also some of the best I’ve had in the city. It’s well worth the prices and the views are great if you go around sunset.Pro tip: check out their sister restaurant Polite Society in Lafayette Square if you haven’t already paid them a visit.

Mike Stanford: The lamb was delicious. My wife had the trout special and our granddaughter, the reason for the trip, had strip steak. Sauces and sides were the perfect accompaniment to all of our dishes. We also had a cheese board with the most interesting bleu cheese I have ever tasted. All together it was an amazing evening. We have been here many times and I must say the French toast at brunch is to die for. Highly recommend for any meal.

Kelia: A unique brunch location and day drinker's retreat with vintage decor elements: intricate, Middle Eastern light fixtures, heavy drapes and a long bar.Pro Tip: You can ask for coffee ☕ if you are feeling rough on a Sunday morning. Free refills.I ordered the Farmer's Breakfast which was typical with a large serving size. I particularly liked the potatoes, which had a crunch to them.Unfortunately, my table's food arrived a bit lukewarm or cold. Knocked a star off for that.Kid-friendliness: Definitely an adult atmosphere with plentiful libations.Parking: Street parking available and limited parking lot space next to the building (maybe 10 spots).Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator available as restaurant is on the 3rd floor.
Aimee Villet: I had a wonderful experience at The Bellwether. The servers were attentive, constantly checking in, and our water glasses were always filled. I shared fries, which had a nice spice in the seasoning. My main dish was the mushroom ravioli. Not only was the food delicious, but it was very filling as well. A glass of wine and the ravioli was a little over $50. I'd recommend The Bellwether for a date night or a night out with friends. I am on a tight budget, but it was worth the money. I'll definitely go back when I want to splurge on a nice meal.

Billie's Fine Foods: what do users think?
Darren Thompson: Best breakfast place, great staff
Sally Kopsky: Chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns Obrien. Delicious!
Ray Maes: I moved to stl 25 yrs ago. They stay over 24hr on weekends. The diner survived a fire and came back better. Still has the old fashion feel diner.Employees so sweet. Great service. Makes me feel like I felt 25 yrs agoBreakfast is awsome. Totally recommend starting your Saturday before hitting the market.Keep up the great job Billies.
Steve Azar: Big Breakfast always good with great service.
Alfred King: It was ok
Jeff Ballard (Chedder): Billies has always been a favorite over the years, but I especially love it now under the current management. The experience is always friendly and personable and the food is very consistent from visit to visit. It's a great place to make a regular stop.I gave 5 stars because there are somewhat regularly some pleasant surprises on the menu that exceed my usual expectations. It's awesome to be jolted out of your normal routine by something delightfully surprising. My only caution, during the shifting health climate when the business is slow, they occasionally close early, sometimes up to 2.5 hours before the posted closing time, so it is highly advisable to call ahead during lunch time to make sure they are open for their afternoon hours. This would normally cost a star in my reviews, but my overall experience, supported by the fact that I am compelled to visit here 2-3 times a week vastly overrides that occasional and completely understandable inconvenience.
Steve McCormick: The chicken fried steak and hash browns were the best i have had in years.
Todd Oberhuber: Great Burgers and friendly staff!
Jeremy Zipp: Seriously so much delicious home cooked food. There were only 2 people working - the waitress and the cook but the place was packed! The waitress was so fast and friendly and she was even cooking the eggs! My omelette might have been the best and biggest one I've ever had. Next time I'm in St Louis I will definitely be hitting up Billie's again!
Joanie Davis: It was a little slower, because shecan't keep people working, they don't work, they sit around but, they food was really good still
Terry Cohan: Nice inviting diner. Great service. Great food. Would definitely go there again...
Ben Zitterkopf: Wonderful local breakfast option in South St Louis.
Brianna Billings: Adorable diner exactly what you would expect from an all American breakfast joint.I got a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and French fries and my husband got some kind of combo and biscuits and gravy. All around the food was delicious! There wasn’t anything “extra” about this food at all and that’s what I love about it.No special seasoning, no extra this or that. Just breakfast.Thank you!
Toni Feldhaus-Ingley: We've been long-time patrons, but this was our first visit post-fire. The staff is as friendly and efficient as ever, the food is as good if not better than it was before, and the place looks wonderful, so clean and bright. I even love the new chairs. Welcome back, Billie's!
bob king: Great hospitality
Travis R.: First time here. Had a burger, and would come back again for another! Crispy bacon, toasted bun, fresh veggies. Hand cut fries were great. Saw some omelettes and the patty melt and they both looked good! Nice friendly staff.Go support local small businesses!
Alpha: So, i am a veteran and i have to say I've eaten at allot of different places across the country. So I'm pretty picky. However, i ordered some French toast and eggs and was incredibly impressed by the taste. They have amazing food here. Both me and my wife had a great time and good food. Customer service here is also, impeccable. I will definitely be making this a regular spot for me and my wife. I would also highly recommend checking this place out!
Basil Kopel: The three egg supreme omelette was delicious and had well cooked meats. I am disappointed that they did not hold the tomatoes as requested, and would not substitute the sides for anything keto-friendly so I had to pay for an overpriced side of bacon. The service was prompt and friendly. The decor was simple but genuinely retro. You can feel its presence as a local favorite of the locals.
Matt Garvey: The lady that runs this place could not be nicer! I've placed multiple pickup orders working across the street, and she is never in anything less than a happy, polite, caring mood. If every business had a someone like Billies, this world would be a much nicer place. And the food ain't bad either!
Dustin Becker: Good people, good food. Just like the good ol days.
KaSha Long: Always Friendly Staff.

The True Creed: I know it's such a generic thing but I went in there not expecting a fancy restaurant and ended up ordering a burger 😅. The wait staff were wonderful and the food was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend had the halibut and she really liked it. I personally recommend the lobster turnovers, the texture and flavors were just wonderful. The first time I've ever enjoyed a fancy restaurant! Had a wonderful time!
Patriotic Wolf: We had not been to Sidney Street in about 8 years and wanted to try it again for my birthday. With all the amazing reviews, we thought it still had it. Unfortunately the dinner fell short of our expectations. We were sat immediately, a lot of open tables for a Friday night but beautiful building and cool atmosphere. We had our waitress go over the appetizers and drink list with us. The cocktail list was underwhelming, wine list was fairly decent and we opted for a bottle of Pinot noir. We then ordered the lobster turnovers and veal dumplings, both which were favorites of mine years ago. Those both were delicious! Our salads were light and refreshing, my husband got a Caesar and he enjoyed it although said it was almost too rich. The beignets were spot on and delicious as usual. Now the entrees… two of us ordered ribeyes. They are big steak eaters so when a steak comes out with a gravy sauce on top of it, they were extremely disappointed. The other fact that it’s not listed as being served with gravy sauce on the menu is extremely misleading. They definitely would’ve asked for it dry or picked a different item. The unfortunately both had about 3 bites and were done.We also got the halibut and beef tenderloin with lobster. Both were well cooked, however the halibut was the tiniest piece of fish I’ve ever seen. I had halibut at another restaurant last week and it was was probably 4 times the size. We also got the rigatoni as a side and it was so Smokey flavored that we could barely eat it. Just pure smoke flavor which we like but it was overpowering. The cauliflower side was inedible to us. It was not cooked enough and the romesco sauce was not great.I really had high hopes for Sidney street for how it use to be about 10 years ago. Unfortunately our dinner was disappointing and we won’t be going back.

Colleen Piel: I miss the food from the "old" Sidney Street. Service and atmosphere were excellent, but the best things on the menu are the original items. The lobster turnovers and beignets are wonderful. I wish they would have kept the wasabi filet in its original form. I do not advise ordering the deconstructed carrot cake.Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Beignets …More

Jack Reacher: This was a fantastic and delicious dinner! The ambience was amazing which set the mood for an amazing evening. I give the place 5 stars for service, 5 stars for atmosphere, and 5 stars for food quality and taste. The bread (brioche) was delicious, melted in your mouth. For starters we had the lobster turnovers absolutely amazing. When they offer you the opportunity to add a fourth one to the order, I would do it or you will be fighting over the last one. I had the 8oz beef tenderloin, it was cooked perfectly and the quality of the meat was excellent. Desert was awesome and topped off a perfect dinner. My hat off to the staff and owner for a great experience.

Andrew Dillman: We love this place!
Vickie Birkenmeier: Service was excellent. Food not so much. Steak was chewy with strings of fat. Cavatelli was very strong tasting with with the tomatoes 🍅 onion soup was some broth with a alittle shrewdedCheese. The carrot cake was the strangest thing ever and was awful. Especially for 15.00. Disappointed will not return.

Raven S: I had a pretty good Smash burger and fries. Our server was sweet and helpful. The wings were not seasoned at all so they just taste like a thin sauce that was also lacking in flavor. They seem to have a pretty nice bar set up. However, they only offer bottled soft drinks that run $4 a pop. Other then that the prices were super reasonable.
Sharice Carr-Brown: When I tell you that I love this place as my weekend brunch option!! I was taken to this restaurant last year for my birthday and have been addicted and recommending it ever since. Every time that I go, I always get the chicken and waffles! My fiancé changes his order up usually. We have yet to be disappointed! The customer service is always exceptional and the drinks from the bar are great as well!
