Temple Buddhist Center: what do users think?
Axel Littlepage: Really good place with great kind loving people
miss wonder: Such a wonderful place for all ages. They have programs for every life situation and support groups for all walks of life. I feel so welcomed here.
karen guilfoyle: The Sunday service is the best hour of my week. The meditation and teachings bring me back to myself and hep me get through the journey ahead. Great for those new to Buddhism and for those who have studied it for years. There is always a new way to think about things. Since I started contributing monthly I feel more a part of the community. Only complaint is sometimes volume is not set high enough for comfortable listening no matter how I adjust the volume on my laptop especially if a guest is a softalker. Namaste
Fábio Luiz nascimento: lindo
Robert Haggard: I love the vibe and atmosphere definitely worth going to, had someone bring me last week and I'll be attending every Sunday now.
Alan Brotherton: A very open and welcoming place for someone just interested in Buddhism or the more experienced practitioner. The only thing I didn't care for was they tend to get a little political in their announcements at the end of the service.
Julie Curtis: Very beautiful Temple, thank you for officiating our ceremony.
Rebecca Ashcraft: This is where I need to be every Sunday - with this sangha - to set my intention for the week.
John Corbaley: An open welcoming space to explore western Buddhism.
Sue Schmidt: Wow. A diverse place. Tons of services, and a relaxed non pushy atmosphere
Indira Grace Huerta: The services are gentle and sacred. They hold true to the teachings and are truly emptying and beautiful. Much has changed in the last several months, all for the best. The extra activities are also very well-done. 1/2 day meditation retreats, authors, parenting classes...all inspiring and helpful.
Joel Snyder: Hi there, I'm really glad that I went to the Temple Buddhist Center in Kansas City several weeks ago and I've decided that I'll go back to that Center. (I didn't take any photos when I was at the Temple Buddhist Center, but I'm going to take more in the future!) :)
Darrious Smith: Great place

Rime Buddhist Center: what do users think?
Mark of the Sun: You know what I always say, "A tight fist can't hold water and neither can a loose hand".
Sharon Ronsse: Wonderful place with wonderful people
Britton Erskine: I love this space and these people. It is such a warm and welcoming environment. Even if you're just interested in learning a little bit about Buddhism they will make you feel welcome. I feel welcome on my journey of becoming a Buddhist.
Fanny Mandelberger: My dear sangha since I moved to Kansas City five years ago.
Eric Glock: I really like the new location; it's more intimate and nicely decorated with various Buddhist Deities. Lama Matthew has done a nice job with the place. However, the gift shop is an absolute nightmare! The first time I went there years ago, they waited two months to put my debit card transaction through which ultimately cost me more than $30 in overdraft fees. And last Saturday I went there and purchased three items at the given price. It turned out that I had been overcharged $10; then that the clerk hadn't given me all that I'd ordered--they had given me an incomplete order. When I went back, which I had to wait a week to do because they are only open 2 hours a week on Saturday, I tried to get the undelivered item at the agreed upon price, and they refused to give it to me at that price. This is a breach of the original purchase agreement, which is especially troubling coming from a religious organization. They furthermore offered no apology whatsoever for any of this.
Michael Lee: They're moving, but I always loved this little building!
Mary Uebersax: I am attending a live meditation weekly with visiting Tibetan Buddhist teacher, Geshse Thinley and benefit from the collaboration and unity of group meditation. Thank you to the Rime center for their hosting of this teacher and lengthening the teaching and understanding of this compassionate path. Sessions are in English to help audience understand.
JeanHelene Davis: So sorry they're moving but rent increases take a toll on everyone !
Bonnie Goodvin: Wonderful place to connect with kind and caring people.
Frass Azab: The most peaceful and truthful place in midtown kc
Ryan Gallagher: Buddhist center of mixed Buddhist traditions. As you enter you are greeted by an alter dedicated to Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th and current Dalai Lama, and as you look around the temple you will notice a beautiful collection of Thangka art just as you'd expect in any Buddhist monastery. The folks who run the center are very kind and knowledgeable.
daisly: a good place to meditate have many activities & classespeople multicultural and very calm environmentLama are very kindthe lamas of this temple are excellent
Travis Bickle: Went for a Wednesday meditation class and session and was impressed. They did not provide a "sell," and very friendly. Nice space in a old building in a part of town that is just outside of the more well traveled side of the highway. Nice quiet place to be mindful
Ruth Byers: Rime aims to be the most welcoming, all inclusive, spiritual community center in Kansas City. They succeeded. After more than 3 years of casual attendance, never joining as a member or claiming a religious affiliation, they still receive me with genuine warm no matter how long it’s been. And most importantly, they never ask me to officially join as a member or pressure me to donate or volunteer. They are truly the most welcoming spiritual community I have ever found.
Zeek Beauchene: Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and an overall amazing place for those interested in a more traditional Buddhism.
Geoff Geist: Our favorite little hippy Buddhist temple. Namaste.
Dutch Vitri: Every one of us comes to the Rime Center for a very different and unique personal reason. However, something that we share is the sense of community. If you would like to find a place in which you feel that you belong, this is the place., the Rime Center is inclusive, warm, friendly and fun. However, the center will also give you the opportunity to learn the teachings of the Buddhist tradition and you will be able to either learn them for the very first time or, support your already established practice and help you submerge yourself unto your studies without limitations.Friends not familiar with Buddhist traditions some times ask me, is the Rime Center a Church? Is Buddhism a religion or a philosophy? My reply is that you would be very smart to approach Buddhism with an open mind, not thinking of it as a religion nor as a philosophy. And, to allow yourself some time before asking yourself for your own perception.Your reply could be that it doesn't matter what it is, because it helps your pursuit for happiness or, you might have a distinct reasoning as to why, to you, it means one or the other.Either way, I hope you stop by and I hope you sit for a while and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask anyone there.Fondly:William
Bobby Weinman: I have awakened my Buddhist nature through the teachings I learned at the center. The classes are enlightening and the people are warm and inviting.
