Ray Kolman: I have been shopping at the Lenexa, KS location for years. In the last few months I have purchased several thousand dollars with a wonderful young lady named Justice, the store manager. Apparently she is no longer with the company, and things have fallen apart. The new store manager neglected to place an order that I had payed for a month ago, and told me I would just have to wait an extra two weeks. The day to receive that item has come and gone, and I’ve not so much as received a phone call. He told me they had another item in stock, that I let him know I was on my way to pick up. I got there and the salesman told me they had sold out earlier in the day. He hadn’t even bothered to check before I made the trip. With Justice no longer keeping that place running smoothly, I’ll be getting a refund today on my ordered Sawstop part, and taking my business to the Rockler Store!
Joseph Killeen: Woodcraft was excellent! I was looking for a stick of walnut for a woodworking project and had a difficult time with some of the DIY and lumber yards in the area, but received excellent phone service when I called to find out if they had what I needed. The customer service person who answered the phone began to rattle off an extensive inventory of wood species that were available in store and I drove straight there. When I arrived the employee on the floor gave me a comfortable amount of time to shop for myself before asking if I needed any help, then he rang me up and the price was better than I expected! Highly recommend this store for their service and prices especially!

Andy Weber: Customer service is very lacking. They messed up my SawStop order and didn’t even enter my contact info correctly into their system - on a $2,700 order! On multiple occasions, they seemed confused about whether I even had an order and had poor communication. No one seemed capable or willing to fix the issue. When the order came, they hadn’t ordered the mobile base I asked them to order and they didn’t have it in stock (I was able to get it at Rockler right away). When visiting the store, there are often multiple employees behind the desk and they seem inconvenienced when you ask questions - even when there aren’t many customers. Rockler service is night & day better.
Robert Pigg: Excellent store for the purchase of high quality tools. Good selection of wood choices that periodically are on sale. Staff is knowledgable and not hesitant to ask another staff member if they are not sure of an answer. Advise and information has always been reliable and accurate.
David LaRue: I like this store. I would say, do not buy gifts for other people here. There is no way to return or exchange gifts.

I signed up for a class and it was cancelled and then I received no updates to when it would be scheduled. I had to repeatedly call the staff and the manager to get information to no avail. Then the class was cancelled again and I only knew because I called multiple times day-of to find out.If you're on a schedule don't trust their class schedule. I'm more disappointed than anything

Terry Harris: Way too overpriced. All boards are plain sawed with sapwood and wane. You can expect a 75% yield from a typical plank which makes this lumber the most expensive I have ever seen. In addition, the risk of some metal appearing in the board is great. Good luck if you are foolish enouigh to purchase lumber that has not been x-rayed!

james forshee: Absolute trash place to deliver to with a otr truck it’s in the middle of a busy street with all most 0 room to back into there dock. I had them unload me in the street and used a pallet Jack to bring the goods to the end of the trailer so they can grab them. The property next to the dock I guess got fed up with trucks haven to use their drive way to back into the dock so they put up concrete polls to prevent trucks from coming in and all so put up a no trucks sign. Nice receiving department they understand it’s a problem and was willing to work with me. Don’t come here unless your in a straight truck I could see local guys probably struggle with it to.
Traci Turner: The employees here followed me from the caulk aisle where I was pricing different brands to the live flowers and trees that I was also pricing. I thought they were simply trying to be helpful at first, but I realized when I walked towards the front door that there were like 6 people staring at me. Still I don't know why, I never held an item more than to look and put it back on the shelf... They are very judgemental and incredibly rude. I guess if you are just¹ looking... They don't want you in the store. I will never go back there.

Lyn Wellington: Today is their annual fruit and nut Christmas sale. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables plus several finds of shelled nuts. Not as crowded as at Thanksgiving. Get there early while supplies last and not to crowded (Got there at 9 am). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

William Reeves: Discovered this gem today. Amazing variety of domestic and exotic hardwoods. They even have Baltic Birch plywood in several sizes and widths. Customer service was excellent. The guys were very patient with my barely -amateur knowledge. My new favorite store!
Matthew Fangman: Don’t waste your time going here. Just go to schutte lumber or somewhere else instead. They have a decent selection of wood but customer service is terrible. I read the reviews before I went but was looking for some rustic alder wood. Guy behind front counter didn’t even acknowledge me walking in the door and was very short on answers. Not very helpful at all and will not be going back due to the terrible customer service.
Ryan Garnett: Nice selection of wood, but good luck actually taking any of it home. Typically what happens is they'll charge your debit card and then claim that their system isn't working therefor you can't take what you came and picked out. I looked at my bank statement and sure enough they charged me. I called and asked if I could come back and pick up the wood that I paid for and they said I would have to call my bank. Either they are too incompetent to operate the most basic of business practices or they are literally committing fraud on their customers who are simply trying to use their service and support their business.

Dennis Baughman: My go to! Always professional, friendly and knowledgable of their offerings. I even watch the "Tommy Talks" on social media. Keep em' going.
Maurice Koon: I have a construction business and know how it is when it comes to the public. My first interaction with this place was amazing. I drive 320 miles to just look at their inventory. I then spent over 500 dollars in their store The sales team gave me great turnaround on the estimate. I tell them we will be back up here to pick up this order on September 15 or the following week. We call and say we’re not coming the 15 th and will be there the 22 nd. we get on the road and are over half way there ( 145 miles) of a 325 mile trip and get told we can’t sell to you you have to order it from a Meeks store. I tell them after all this you have a choice of selling it to me or losing an 11,000 dollar order. There is more that I am not saying After all poor communication and poor customer service. I would not recommend this business in anyway shape or form. Hopefully no one else gets this treatment either.

Its never ready when I call. They said my sales person Christian will call me if its ready. 3rd day, 4th day - no phone call! 5th day is a Sunday- THEY ARE CLOSED :-( Monday, I will no longer have any assistant to help me. So disappointed. I will never buy from them again.

When I asked about it, I was told it was 3/4; and that's all they carry! 60$ of fuel, and 5hrs down the drain! I'll go back to Austin Hardwoods in Denver. At least they know what they sell!
