Sally Pestock: We had nothing but problems with this company during our basement project. The installer had to come out like 6 time to adjust simple fixes, they did not advise we wait to install the cabinets until after flooring was in (now we literally have a tiled in beer fridge), and when i called to voice my complaints Karl (owner) hung up on me. I will never come back here or advise anyone else use them for their cabinet needs.

Kevin Reinwald: Bought 2 vanities plus sinks from them. The shipping dates we were given was 6-8 weeks. Took 14 weeks because of overseas delays...we understood that. Once it got to Tennessee they had trouble getting a truck to deliver to KC...again we "were patient".Went to kc (1 hour) (2 hour round trip) to pick up our products. One sink didn't fit because it was a left sided 48" cabinet left apparently they don't make a 48" left sided sink cabinet so we had to take it back..(2 hours) and go to a 42" left sided sided to be ordered. Picked it up a week later..(2 hour trip)Our 60" sink for our master bath would not fit into the cabinet we also got from Cabinets to Go. There was a design problem from the factory so our installer had to butcher the cabinet to make it drop in per Cabinets to Go...will try to post video.Store mgr was supposed to send customer service a message about our experience in hopes to make it right. That was 8 days ago and not heard anything after store mgr saying he would call me in 3 days.Will update if we receive a response.

Adam Hutzell: Buyer beware!!!! Cabinets too go sent out THEIR measurement guy to make sure that the cabinets went to the door jam as we requested. He mis measured by 4 inches so we have a 5 inch gap between the cabinets and the door jam. Also exposing the hardwood floors that now do not go to the cabinets (we did a quick fix as u will see in pics but will need to be repaired. We were out of the home during the install as we did not want to deal with it. Our installer installed as he was instructed and while we were gone and the countertop people came out and measured and Cut our countertops to the new incorrect length. Brandon (the manager) instructed us to call customer service and see what they could do. And assured us no more than 24 hour turn around time on customer service getting back to us. They did get back to us and by they I mean a foreign call center that understood very little English. We asked to have a manager call hoping for better communication and we were assured 24 hours to get back with us. Here we sit 3 days later no response with our kitchen a mess. Spending 25k on a kitchen that did not meet our expectations. Also used strange fillers instead of using the entire wall for cabinets on another wall. Pics included. You may save a few dollars using this company but I pray for your sake there are no issues bc this company does not stand behind their product or clean up the mistakes their measurement guys make. Don’t walk. Run from this company.- update 7/6/22Brandon the store manager said he would replace the cabinets that have the 3 in spacer with a 21 inch instead of the 18 inch that looks silly. Said we would have the 7/1/22. Had not heard anything as of today. Took several calls and e-mails to get a response. Said he could only change them if we take them out ourselves. The installer has already been paid to install this ridiculous design and any more labor to make this right would be on us.

They were very fast and seemed to know what they were doing But lacked professionalism and attention to detail was non- existent.... door hinges left unadjusted, knob holes drilled unevenly, cracked sink plumbing and failed to inform us, crown molding was so poorly cut/installed we complained. Upon return my husband instructed them on cutting mitered corners and we ended up adjusting the cabinet doors ourselves as we were told something cabinets are just that way’ when several were left with 1/4” gaps and/or unevenness. Bottom line: great product; questionable installers.

Brian Howe: I agree with all of the 1 star postings. I was referred to this company by our builder in which they installed the original cabinets. I called and did not receive any call back for over 2 months. I understand that we are going through a pandemic, but it is only standard to give a courtesy call back. When the guy that was doing the estimating came out, ( James ), he said that they were 4 weeks out but would get us a quote the following day. After nearly 2 weeks, and leaving numerous messages, I was able to get ahold of James once again. He said that he hadn't had time and that other projects were pushed ahead of ours. All that we asked for was a call back. Then we were basically told to go elsewhere because they didn't have time for us. I did receive a call back from Lawrence the owner, and he reiterated the fact that they had other "Contractor's Projects" that came 1st. Very unprofessional, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They even came to take final measurements for build and then day before scheduled delivery; our contractor was informed they had not even started our cabinets and no delivery date was given. This has delayed our project by 60 days and we are seeking a reputable cabinet company to complete our project. Please be cautious and we recommend getting delivery date in written contract.

Michael McKeen: First off, its odd that some of the positive reviews below are from employees!We thought it was odd that we were asked to pay thousands of dollars up front for our cabinetry to be made. I’m in the development and contracting industry, and while I know I this is a red flag, I moved forward because of a good reference. Months later, after nobody showed up at our scheduled install date, we were literally told that they had not fabricated our panels and that their “boss told them the new-build clients were more important” since they put more food on the table! Pretty unbelievable, but it is true. Here we are, months later and out of pocket thousands of dollars and no production has been done and nothing scheduled... proceed cautiously if you are considering this company for any services. To verify this was not a one off deal, I called a few other builders and contractors who had said this was once a high quality company, but have taken on too much work and is not performing to expectation across the board. To make matters worse, my wife called to simply discuss when they could complete the services that were paid and agreed on, and the owner treated her with disrespect and talked down to her as if she was in the wrong for expecting him to perform.

They were much less expensive for a much nicer quality cabinet than the other store. They offer free designs and measure. They came out to my house measured and brought some color samples to choose from, measured and designed my kitchen happily without begrudging me. Not to mention that we got the quote very quick. And the time it took to get my cabinets was better than the other company. I have had some companies never even send me a quote! Most places want a fee to do all that! Not them! The employees are friendly and they walked me through every step of the kitchen design. They went above and beyond! The design and the cabinets are absolutely beautiful! I will definitely be back when it comes time to do my bathrooms and our lake house!

Max Mossman: Happy with the cabinets..BUT, pantry/cabinet was missing shelves. This was never disclosed when ordering, and KB&U wanted an extra $240 for 3 shelves that have included or disclosed. We spent 2300 on a vanity, sink, and pantry already. So i had to find someone else and make them for WAY less. (Under a $100).

Jo Fleckenstein: Don't let the appearance of this hidden gem fool you! We were shopping around for options for our planned bathroom remodel. We had already been to countless stores and spoke with Onyx dealers and were ready to make our decisions. We weren't entirely satisfied or confident that we would get the products and results we needed. We were driving by the Lenexa location and decided to check it out. Todd greeted us and was able to confirm he could provide a quote. We set up an appointment shortly after and after consulting with him on our wants and needs we were on our way to a bath remodel. Todd's expertise and product knowledge was very impressive. Using a design tool, he mapped what we communicated perfectly to fit. Not only was he able to procure the materials (walk in shower with customized pieces, custom made cabinet and sink) Todd put us in touch with contractors for the install. The contractors were very skilled and organized. They communicated very well so there were no shocks or surprises. The only downside was the wait for the products to all come in. That is normal when working with custom built items, so if you want a quick fix this is not for you.Pricing was better than piecing out from different dealers.We are very happy with our new bathroom.

Abby Gust: ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!!! We spent over THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS on our custom kitchen cabinets with this company (KBUF) and feel completely scammed. During the design process, they passed our kitchen plans back and forth between designers, who complained about each other’s work, and changed major details we had spent hours planning with the other designer without us knowing it was changing (like standard to full overlay doors - thank goodness I confirmed at some point and realized it had been changed). Chad continuously talked over me and interrupted me throughout communication with him. I would frequently email him directly, and then he would only contact my fiance in return. It truly began to feel chauvinist since I am a woman. It was so, so, so frustrating trying to stay in the loop, which is where some unresolvable issues came from. He also had an excuse for EVERY issue or communication complaint. We had MANY issues after our cabinets came in and the only thing they would happily resolve were problems in which they could use the cabinet makers as a scapegoat for, since that way they didn’t have to pay for the fix (KBUF are the middle man, they don’t make the cabinets). They just send you out a new cabinet, but you have to deal with the labor and uninstall/reinstall yourself. If the problem was going to come out of their commission, they were absolutely unwilling to take any blame. In fact, they said nobody was to blame. If nobody was to blame, we wouldn’t be having issues. The fact that we had MASSIVE cabinet design issues (including several appliances that didn't even fit in the cabinets, which are now going to be hacked together) upon install shows how undetailed and unorganized their process is. Some of the issues came from the fact that, once again, they had only sent an appliance spec catalog to my partner, not me (the project is in my name!). I sent them the chosen appliance model numbers (that were apparently not in the spec book that I never saw), asked them to let me know if there were concerns, and we moved forward thinking everything was set.I don’t think this company should be in business, but regardless they should ONLY be working with builders who crank out standard kitchens every day. They are the experts who should be leading their customers through the process, not leaving us to catch their mistakes or details that we didn’t even know to look for, and then get blamed for them. This was a massive, personal purchase for us and has been extremely distressing and disappointing. We still don’t have a complete kitchen after 7 months. Save yourself the trouble of being hung out to dry by KBUF and TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

Lawson Rameirazoo: Let me correct my name, Lesley Ramirez, I do not post reviews but working with Kitchens, Baths and Unfinished Furniture on my kitchen remodel has been a nightmare and I am at my wits end and I don't know what else to do. The project started this past summer and I am still missing doors that may or may not be in after the 1st of the year. Similar to other customers, our kitchen was completely mismeasured by Deidre while the cabinets came in a reasonable amount of time, most of them had to be reordered because of the mismeasure adding weeks and weeks on to the project time line. Some of the cabinets came in damaged and a different color then what they were supposed to be so those had to be reordered as well, again, adding more time. I have had to have reorders of reorders of the reordered (yes that's 3 reorders) because of damaged reorders (from the manufacturer) or Unfinished reordering the wrong item even after I supplied them pictures. I had to let go their recommended contractor, Kirk, because he was not showing up to the job or if he did, he would show up around 10am, take a lunch, work few hours and leave. The new contractor that I hired had to redo a lot of the work Kirk did because it was incorrect, for example, he completely cut all the electrical wires going to my dishwasher, the new contractor had never seen anything like it. So I had to come up with extra money just to fix Kirk's mistakes. Chad and Pam have been friendly and have tried to untangle the mess that was made, but I wish I never would have stepped foot in the store. If I can get my doors, I would love to be done with them, as I am sure they would love to be done with me.

They came out to measure and the quote was completely wrong, we went back to the store and helped them correct it. When we got the cabinets 7 weeks later, one of them was broken and they still had a wrong dimension that made the cabinets extend into the entryway. We called them and went to the store immediately and they didn't help whatsoever. We talked to the salesman and the manager and they insulted me, my wife and my contractor and called us all idiots. They said it's our fault for not catching their error earlier, and it's our job to customize their cabinets to make them work for our kitchen. They did not offer any money back, they did not offer a home visit, they did not take ownership of their mistakes and they will not return or exchange. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS HORRIBLE QUALITY BUSINESS. Don't make the mistake we made in giving this company a chance, believe me, they will ruin your project and waste your time and money.

TP: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ! Went in three times over 10 days to get a price on two cabinet doors. Started out at $200 a door, then they found a different manufacturer and quoted aprx. $90 a door. Then I got a call and Deidre and she said are you sitting down, It'll be $650.00 and now they aren't sure if they can color match. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ! Gave me a price then strung me along and now they simply can't remember what they quoted !

In the beginning when we met with Deirdre she was very helpful and answered any questions my husband and I had. All of the staff working within the office and with our design was easy to work with. We were working on a kitchen remodel.The issues started when the install started. We were connected with their installation guy named "Kirk" and was assured that he does great work. Unfortunately, we didn't have this experience at all!!! Our biggest issue is that no one ever came back to complete the finishing touches on the kitchen, even after we waited months for the extra pieces to arrive. Here's a list of a few issues we encountered:-We were told Kirk would deliver the cabinets and no cost wasmentioned. Kirk asserted that he should be charging us $100 fordelivery.-Kirk's hired help was late a few times (hours late)!-We contacted the office and Kirk directly to try and get him to comeback and finish the kitchen, once extra pieces came in. No one hascontacted us after follow-up with them and Kirk's contact said shewould let Kirk know, but we never heard anything. Our kitchen wasstarted 7 months ago. Still nothing!!!-The doorknobs to the cabinets keep coming loose and turning. Looksfunky because they are square. I just keep going around andtightening them every so often. I'm assuming this can happen andwasn't the biggest complaint.-Gap between crown molding and ceiling-Gap between wall and cabinet-Drill holes not filled in-Bottom trim coming apart from cabinet. Had to duct tape together to keep daughter from getting hurt on it or someone accidentally ripping the whole thing apart-HUGE gap between floor and bottom of cabinet...Here's some pictures to show what's not finished. This is not what we paid for and I chose to write this post because I'm so sick of seeing an unfinished kitchen. We wanted the kitchen completed in a timely fashion because not having a kitchen and a 7 month old baby at home was very difficult for us. Everytime we brought up something we were unhappy with or didn't seem complete, Kirk seemed interested in completing other projects he was working on elsewhere and didn't want to be bothered. If it weren't for the installation problems I would have given 4.5 stars.

Jordan Kitchen: The cabinets we bought turned out really nice and the price was reasonable. However, don't believe that they will be able to connect you with an installer. They assured us, multiple times, that "their guy", kirk, could do the installation within a week or two of the cabinets being delivered.Unfortunately, that didn't happen and trying to find someone to install cabinets in KC is a challenge unless you're willing to navigate Craigslist. When I started calling around to find an installer, all the cabinet installers work for other cabinet manufacturers and they will only install cabinets that they sell you and the guys I got spoke with via Craigslist were shady, to say the least.Knowing what I know now, I would have done business with another cabinet company with better customer service and a more streamlined approach to avoid the six month headache that our kitchen remodel turned into. And when its all said and done, we didn't save a dime.

You start with an extremely easy and accurate quote process, then on to design with very talented ladies and extensive options, then a supreme crew for the highest quality install. We've had new interior stair and landing railings installed, kitchenette/bar area refaced, fireplace mantels replaced, new built-in bookshelves installed, and our entire kitchen refaced. Every single project has been totally custom, and let me tell you, they went beyond the mark on meeting ALL of my desires. I got multiple samples, calls, and trips to the house to make sure everything was perfect. I'm one to notice every little detail, and can be hard to work with because I know exactly what I want and don't like to settle, never once did it seem like they were frustrated with me or say they couldn't do what I wanted. They are super clean, professional, and the quality of work cannot be beat. Not only that, but at this point we've enjoyed having them in our home for all these projects I now care about them and their lives as they were so personable and we shared great conversations. William Partin: Probably a mix between a four and five star review, but overall I’m very pleased with the end results. Craftsmanship was definitely a five, and the guys working on my stairs were nice, always on time, worked through Saturday to get the job done in a week, and cleaned up well after themselves. They went above and beyond to fix small issues to help with follow-on projects, and cover discrepancies in what was ordered vs. what I requested.I would say customer service was closer to a four star effort. Still great and extremely friendly, but a few of the details I tried to explain got lost in translation. I think having one of the guys that will be installing the stairs coming to the site to assist Patti with initial measurements and explain in further detail how the finished product will look might help. As the job carried on, the guys working kept catching small details and having to cut custom pieces or go back to get more materials. But like I said, I’m happy with the whole experience and they’re definitely worth the money.

Todd Marckx: We used Profile Cabinets when we finished our basement. They were able to match our original cabinets where others were not. They did not make the original cabinets. They had many options, i.e. crown, glass doors/shelves, drawer sliders, and shelf sliders. The cabinets were good quality and reasonably priced. We bought about 9' of base cabinets and 5' of upper cabinets. The only issue was the space for the refrigerator. The base cabinets were slightly too large, but they worked with us and fixed the issue. If/when we need additional cabinets, we would certainly work with them again.

Dan Michalek: Working with Profile Cabinet was one of the easiest parts of our kitchen remodel. Steve helped us through the entire process and was responsive whenever we had questions. He kept the project within our budget and delivered a beautiful quartz top for our new island. The craftmanship on the base cabinet is top notch. The delivery and installation teams handled themselves professionally. We have been enjoying the finished product for a few months now and everything is as solid as the day it was delivered. We would certainly recommend them.

Will K.: I was very pleased with the design process and the designer. They did a great job translating my ideas into a good design.However, I would not recommend Profile due to the installation process. The installer was not easy to work with or very effective. Specifically, only one person showed up to install my cabinets. He was unable to move them into place on his own, so he needed me to assist him. I did not appreciate being asked to help him do that, nor do I think it is my responsibility. However, he said he'd have to come back another day with someone else if I didn't help him. Also, he was unwilling to work with the electrician I had also scheduled to be there during the install. He sent the electrician away saying he wasn't needed. Literally less than thirty minutes later, the installer realized he did indeed need the electrician. I then had to call the electrician and beg him to come back, which thankfully he was able to do. The installer though threatened to leave for another job since he had to wait for the electrician to come back. It was just a complete mess.The final product is not as nice as I had hoped due to the install process. There are gaps between the floating shelves and the rest of the unit, the cabinet doors are slightly crooked, and the finish around the counter top isn't very clean. I contacted the company before I wrote this review, but their response was basically, "what do you want us to do about it?"Like I said, I would not recommend.
