Aviation Institute of Maintenance: what do users think?
Ben Taylor: I completed the AMT program at this location in 2017. Not all the teachers I had are still there, but a great majority of them did indeed take an active role in teaching. Unlike some other reviews, I did not experienced any of the teachers "putting on YouTube videos" and using that as the class. If they ever used videos, it was as examples to reiterate what we were learning. Please take all of what I said with a grain of salt, considering I took the evening class, the daytime schedule may result in a very different experience.
Brian Kimble: I parked out in front for an hour waiting for a chiefs game. I still don't know how to fly a plane.
Christy Wilson (Chris): My nephew attends school here. He seems to enjoy everything so far. No complaints heard so far, we'll see when it's graduation time.
Tyler Lovetinsky: Multiple instructors have severe PTSD and no official teaching license. Most of the school is just teaching yourself out of the textbook in order to pass classes. Nobody at the school gives a care at all if you graduate once you enroll. The instructors sign off on projects that have not even been completed just so they can have time to play Magic the Gathering during class as soon as possible every day. Hardly any hands on experience. The financial advisors use the term "free money" a lot when referring to loans (especially when they are dealing with people out of poverty). The concept of money gets left outside the front door when people enter it seems like. Damon Cook, the Director of Education, is willing to lie about and then fight his students. The advisors will lie about every detail just to get you enrolled.
Misty Marble (Mist): My son started going to
Jean Christophe: I don't recommend.
Julia Kruckow: Went for a job fair!
Caleb Breneman: If I could leave zero stars I would. This program is horrible. It is nearly $50,000 dollars to attend and not worth even a fraction of that. They do not tell you upfront about all of the costs until it is to late. They do not mention that they are priced $15,000 dollars above what federal student loans will cover until its to late. Then they charge you while you are attending to pay on the difference. Then the day you graduate they hit you up for $250 a month that you have to pay on top of your federal loan payment. They also charge you for classes that you do not attend. The quality of the program itself is terrible. With the exception of a couple of instructors most of them are fresh out of school and have no idea about what they are talking about. Half of my instructors spent more time watching movies in class than teaching. I had to teach myself online for most of the blocks in order to pass the tests. They are predatory in their recruiting and even more predatory in their collections. Even with student loans differed because of the pandemic they still hound you for money and threaten to send you to collections. I know they are the only program in the area but I would avoid it. It's not worth even a fraction of the cost. I have spoken too many other graduates and they all seem to have the same opinion. Just to show how bad it is, my class started with 17 students and finished with 2. Very few people graduate or get their A&P.
Kenny Chauhan: You’re paying for the school to give you required knowledge to pass the AMT FAA tests. Lots of people come here with so many expectations other than that. It’s literally the fastest way to into the aviation industry(mechanics side) your A&P license can be converted into 80-100 college credits if you desire to pursue a Bachelors degree in the Aviation field. Do not take your first FAA exam unless you are ready to take them all close to each other time wise. Once you take your 1st test your 2year count down begins to pass all of them. Teachers are knowledgeable about the subject area. Don’t treat this like a regular college. Get in, pass your classes, pass your tests and get out. There’s hella money to be made!
Rami KATHEMI: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe school is not accredited in Israel or Emirates. You almost have to retake the entire training. It seems to have bad reputation here. Poor training. I am talking about Kansas city school. I do not know about the other school places. The staff are very cocky too. I do not recommend it.
Joanna Hall: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueOld dated material and instructors have no idea about anything. waste of time and MONEY!!!! Overly priced.
seesdifferently: Critical:Professionalism,QualityThey tell you one thing, and you realize another later on. stay away!!
lilia comparan: Positive:Professionalism
Bryant Ellis: I am about to go to school to become an aviation maintenance technician and the staff here are amazing
Janeicka Hays: Love ❤️ it!!
Roy Scott: Critical:Communication,Quality,ValueDo your research before attending.
Aaron Rhoades: Robert was wonderful to work with!!! The family, comradeship and facility are state of the art!!!!!!!
michael thacker: I am an Instructor here and have been for 17 years. I love teaching people about Aviation & how airplanes work!
Ryan Keopke: Drama filled it's like attending a Jerry Springer episode
Aaron Neece: Recieved a bill 10 years later. I do not recommend this school to anyone who is looking to better themselves.
Robert Illidge: My overall experience at this school is that they are really quick to go after veterans and their benefits. The education program coordinator is rude. Also they lack jet aircraft which in this day and age is not good. The instruction i got at this school was good. Overall though as a veteran they don't know how to deal with the va on certain things and you end up making endless phone calls to the va to get things straightened out. I would take your money and go else where.

Crider's Institute of Welding Technology: what do users think?
Andres Mancha: Hobby training was educational and informative. The staff was outstanding, thank you!
Jacob Mertes: The instructors were really helpful, they always went over any and all things we had questions on! All the training and learning got me a union job right off the bat after graduation! Highly recommend this institution.
Angelica Miller: Definitely a great school. All the instructors truly amazing there does everything to make sure you succeed.if wanting a school they honestly help you with anything you need and very understanding, They give you the welding technique and willing to put in the leg work. I would recommend(CIWT)Criders institute welding tech
John Gallagher: Great school and instructors are very helpful in making sure you understand what they are teaching you. Would recommend for anyone looking to learn a new trade.
Joshua Magdich: I recently graduated from Crider's five month program with a certification in 6G with a tig root. Going to this school, in my opinion, was a great choice. During my time here I was able to build not only skill and knowledge, but also relationships with the instructors due to the student/instructor ratio throughout the program being better than 12/1. For reference, other schools that I considered going to boasted a 30/1 student/instructor ratio. I would definitely recommend Crider's to anyone who is considering learning to weld.
Scott Barton: Attended a hobby welding workshop. Stan tailored my time for what I was interested in and made sure I felt challenged all day. He gave me plenty of time to move at my pace and was ready to answer any of my questions. It was fun time and I learned a ton. I highly recommend!!
Henry Burger: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueBest school in the state of missori ill tell you that much
Paiton Youtsey: The best welding school in the KC area! The instructors are hands on and very helpful. Stan will help you with whatever you need to succeed!
Jon Crouch: Positive:Professionalism,ValueI did the Hobby class and really enjoyed it!
Joseph Schade: I attended the 5 month master welding class and came in with no prior knowledge of welding, I just finished and already have a job in welding and had multiple jobs offered to me by the instructors while I was still in school. Criders is definitely the best way to go if you're looking to start a career in welding.
itsy bitzy: They are amazing! Answered every question truthfully and honestly. Great tour we enjoyed it!
JadePosting: got a certification in 5 months, i went into this knowing nothing and now im qualified to work. staff is friendly, they'll get you the help and guidance you need while also preparing you for a career ahead.
Dylan Johnston: Great school went there not knowing anything about welding and learned a lot. Recommend this school to anyone that is looking for a welding school.
TheSamDub (FTB Hades): Absolutely loved going to school here learned a lot in a quick and easy manner. Everyone there is very friendly and never had a problem asking any questions that came to mind weather it be welding or just questions about jobs and the future. Definitely recommend this school to someone who wants to learn how to weld!
joshua stockman: As a recent graduate of CIWT I am absolutely pleased with my experience. The instructors were knowledgeable, caring, and very helpful. They provided us with the best equipment and tools, along with the resources we needed after graduation to start up our career. I would highly recommend Crider’s to anyone interested in the welding industry.
Kyle Smith: I took the tig course here starting december 4th and i couldnt ask for better teachers stan has worked in almost every industry and is very professional in approach and overall understanding and donna pushes each student to be thier best no favorites are played and you couldnt ask for better treatment never have i looked forward coming to school everyday but you learn an grow each time beats payin 15k for a 2 year school and you wont get better hands on experiences in a small class they go above and beyond
Jared & Christi Bullard: I would highly Stan and his staff. If you have experience and just want some additional training or fresh and want to learn. Crider's institute has what it takes to produce top notch welders. Thanks Stan.
Madhime: This is a really good start if you are looking to get into welding, the school is nice and clean and the equipment is excellent, the instructors are patient and excellent teachers.
James Sayers: Starting with zero experience I was impressed with the dedicated one on one training received at CIWT. You cannot find that kind of student-teacher ratio anywhere else. I know I made the right choice with CIWT.
Eric Reven: I was at a crossroads in my life and career, I decided to do something I used to really enjoy when I was younger (now I'm 47) which is weld. I did some research and picked Crider Institute in Grain Valley. It's been an eye opening experience, way more detailed and in depth than I imagined, and way more rewarding. I've had several job interviews and I'm going to pick the right job for me. Thank you Stan.
Nick Bishop: I had an awesome experience with their Master Welding Program. Stan Crider is a great teacher and a good friend, I highly recommend CIWT to anyone who wants to weld. ...500 hrs of hands on training (lots of one-on-one) & test for 3 Welding Certificatons!Stan hooked me up with a job right after graduation! I have a little over a year in welding and love it!

Manual Career Tech Center: what do users think?
Daniel Gooden: Attended a Lego Robotics tournament at Manual. It was a neat experience and the staff were really nice to talk with. Facility looked great! Go KCPS!
Ms. G 816: I went to the school fair and it was a fantastic experience. This is the first time for me and everyone was helpful throughout the whole process.
Elitelady 1954: My little granddaughter had to go there for testing. The ladies were really nice and caring.
Dionne C: This school has amazing career programs for our students and has great school leadership. A true asset to the KCPS District.
Pinky Gwynn: I've only been here for 2 days and keep getting lost
Jeremy Spears: Great school
Michael King: An excellent school providing career readiness!
eléctrico Jose: Nice experience you are not a school Just my first year and all things are going very well here on the cell phone because it has the availability to learn more things every day and to be able to get at least one head knowing that it is very charming
ShadowGamer_ Plays: THIS SCHOOL LOOKS AMAZING I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO BUILD ROBOTS AND SELL THEM AND HOPEFULLY THIS SCHOOL COULD TEACH ME
Diana Thomas: The Ged program sucks there . When new people are enrolled it makes you have to start over until the new students catch up. I was on level four and had to wait for the new students to catch up. I didn't like it. No teachers, they have to text when they have a teacher to teach the class. I really wish there was another way to get my diploma.

K C Forged & Custom Iron Works: what do users think?
Kendall Crosby: 0 stars if I could ecause they never responded to my inquiries.
Glenda Smith: Danny took the time to sit with me and explained everything that would happen.
Jami Pelzl: Pablo was amazing to work with! We have been doing some upgrades on our house and have found it challenging to find somebody with all the qualities of his amazing customer service. Pablo was reliable. Pablo answered our calls every time, was on time for each visit to our home and he even invited us down to see his shop. Our railing was completed earlier than promised. He was friendly and does amazing work and I would recommend Pablo’s company to anyone!
Paul Dudebro: Pablo at KC Forged was great to work with on a railing for our basement remodel. Good communication and a reasonable price for something totally custom. Took a little longer than estimated but the end product was worth it. Best part is how happy it made my wife!

Builders' Association: Education and Training Center: what do users think?
Harry Lim: Great place for construction training.
Gale Graham: I got and continue to get training for my career
Josep Baxter: Nice
Jodi Howell: Great fieldtrip for scouts
Ezriyah SCOTT: This place will change your life from a job to a Career it’s worth all your time.
Shane Poston: Good place for training
shawn vance: Great school because Ironworkers are the Best thats why!!! We work in extremely dangerous situations where anything at any given moment could go wrong especially without proper training COVID or NO COVID we have to constantly stay educated through refreshers by our great instructors who do truly care about our safety. Knowing what I know we always have a choice wether we do or not wanna do anything we think might be unsafe. So considering what we do and risks we take daily in our trade our training and schooling is always first and will never be allowed to be put on a back burner even over a cold pandemic, the risks that are at stake if we were to stop our ongoing educational training and safety training is way higher than anything else, so before you judge throw a harness and some bolt bags on and come stand on the iron with us for a day and you'll understand why we would choose to continue classes and training.
liv r.: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThey stayed open with a positive covid case, nor do they require masks in large settings. They did not cancel school on the worst day of the year even when NKC School District has closed. They truly do not care about the safety of their own students. Terrible facility.
Mike Cherry: Great teachers
Tron Turner: Good Place!
M. Eric Hovey: A well and needed establishment that helps to train apprentices with instruction for their particular UNION trade. Also, gives the opportunity for journeymen to enhance their abilities and keep current with ever changing aspects of building. A much needed service is provided which certainly helps in the fact that some of the BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP IS RIGHT HERE IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA. CRAFTSMEN FROM THIS AREA ARE LOOKED UP TO BECAUSE OF THESE ABILITIES WHICH ARE DERIVED THROUGH PROPER TRAINING!IT IS A GREAT THING
