Desitny is amazing person don't let the tattoos and face piercing fool you. She will bend over backwards for you just to make your day special and make sure your vision comes to life. Brent Lager: My new wife and I simply can not say enough amazing things about Mackenzie, Taylor and the entire staff at 28 Event Space. We had a big wedding (near 250) and they made it so easy and stress free for us. They were flexible, honest and just gave off the best energy throughout the entire process. From the day we toured to the moment we left the day after the wedding, they were great to us. And the space is absolutely perfect for every phase of the wedding experience. We'd absolutely love it, and would recommend them for whatever your needs are. Great people, great place, great experience!

Lyndsee Johnson: I toured 6 venues and could not find a better event space in the KC metro than 28 Event Space. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and extremely easy to work with. I think I asked them hundreds of questions leading up to our big day, to which they were immediately responsive, attentive, and extremely helpful. The bartenders included in our package were awesome and went above and beyond as they were willing to make all of our old fashioned's for our signature drink for our pup ("Otis Fashioned")! The Station was everything we had wished and hoped for - I would recommend to any couple looking for a place for their dream wedding! :)

Kim Philip: This was the absolute BEST RECEPTION SITE we could have ever imagined! It worked for every member of our family! The staff was awesome, especially the three bartenders we had, and the back rooms and bedrooms were perfect for elderly family members to relax in during the reception and for the wedding party to prep in before and after the ceremony. It was just the most perfect venue for us!!! We loved it!!!

Leah Berg: I think 28 Event Space is the best value venue in downtown KC. I did extensive research on venues in downtown KC for my wedding, and no one could compete with 28 Event Space’s price for everything that is included. A few of the main selling points for me were that our rental included a DJ, party bus, bride/groom getting ready suite, overnight access, use of your own vendors, and the ability to bring your own alcohol. They are the only venue in downtown KC (to my knowledge) to offer all of this, and at an incredibly fair price.In addition to all of this, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. We went with The Station which has an elegant marble backdrop as the centerpiece of the room. Everything is so updated and modern, which is exactly what we were looking for in a venue. The managers Mackenzie and Taylor are also incredibly responsive which is a must for wedding planning. They gave me a number to text with any questions and they almost always responded within ours. We mainly worked with Taylor, and she was so flexible with all of our requests. I can’t recommend 28 Event Space enough.

Julie Braden: Loose Mansion is THE venue for a couple who wants an out-of-the-box solution for their wedding! They have an all-inclusive package, so food, decor, ceremony, reception, bar, music, and planning… EVERYTHING is handled through the mansion and their incredible professional staff. We had about a three month engagement and wanted a small intimate wedding where ourselves and friends and family didn’t have to lift a finger, but everything would be gorgeous and look like a luxury wedding. Loose made this completely possible on a short timeline and because of their incredible team, it took away so much of the usual stress of wedding planning. I have been a part of planning many weddings and truly believe that Loose has the best all inclusive venue for reasonable pricing and saves you and your loved ones all of the effort that goes into the work of many other venues - which at the end of the day is priceless. I highly recommend taking a look at the beauty this venue has to offer as well as their phenomenal food menus, bar selection, and take a chance to meet their wonderful staff! Karen and Abbey were so great to work with and made our wedding day such a peaceful, sweet day. We can’t thank Loose Mansion enough!!
Mikayla Smith: Loose Mansion is a great venue, catering, decorating, and day-of coordinating business all rolled in to one! We did heavy appetizers for our wedding, and Loose Mansion was very accommodating to that idea. Every guest has mentioned how great the food was too! Chris was our day-of coordinator and she really helped so much not only by scheduling a planning meeting for us to go over major details 6 months out, but also being extremely helpful on the wedding day. She did an incredible job making sure I didn’t have to worry about anything, and we both greatly appreciate her help! Another huge plus for me was the fact that they let you use all the decorations they already have, which really helped us save money on the little things. Also, for brides who either don’t care about flowers or are concerned with how much they cost, the beautiful internal decor and loads of candles meant we didn’t need any floral decorations at all! Of course if you do want flowers, they will only further enhance the beauty of the space! My husband also loved the groom suite, which in some other venues is a broom closet, but at Loose Mansion they had a large space to get ready in and hangout as well! Overall we loved our experience with Loose Mansion and all the staff, and we highly recommend this venue to all couples!

Derrick Smith II: Went to a wedding here this past President’s day weekend. We loved the classic feel of the decor in their dining room and the speakeasy vibrations of the open bar presented on the bottom level. The staff was. Great and we’re excellent at making sure everything we needed was readily available. But Chris, the main director, was the ultimate standout. She was amazingly attentive to what the bride and groom needed. She worked hand in hand with the MC by preparing him for using their sound system and walking him through the schedule. She worked everything from lights to plating. She dealt with difficult guests with grace and over delivered on special requests. I didn’t know her last name but if I were to guess, it would be “hospitality” because service to guest clearly flows thick through her veins. Thank you for such a great experience!

It's got a great history, a grand look, and smells of mahogany and leather bound books! It's unique in that it is a real KC mansion with too many great attributes to mention. And the part that makes Loose Mansion extra special is their team, such a delight to work with. We searched and found Loose Mansion and absolutely fell in love. Having our wedding at Loose Mansion was the best decision we ever made. It’s so beautiful and elegant! The venue matched my dress perfectly. You don’t need much to spruce up your event either. It’s perfect. The whole process was made easy because of the staff. I was very overwhelmed by the planning process and had very little free time for planning due to my job, so Loose Mansion's all-inclusive approach was very important to us and my anxiety was relieved as soon as we booked. Chris F was our point of contact, she expertly walked me through every step of the planning, she was always incredibly organized, and she truly made the whole experience so easy and wonderful. The architecture and decor at the mansion is beautiful, the team did an amazing job of decorating for our wedding, and the food was delicious. The rehearsal and wedding day went SO smoothly - I honestly was relaxed the entire time and felt totally taken care of. At first glance, the venue seems pricey, but when you factor in everything included in the process, it is really very reasonable and WELL worth it. Our guests have been raving about the event and mansion since our wedding. I am so grateful that we chose Loose Mansion!!

The space is so beautiful as it is that we decided to just add some greenery and lean heavily on the decor they provide as part of the package instead of spending a lot on florals. As our wedding approached we had full confidence that the Loose Mansion team would execute our vision flawlessly. The day of our wedding we were able to relax and enjoy the day. They made sure that we were able to eat dinner and checked in to see if we wanted any more drinks or dessert throughout the evening. Everything was seamless and many of our guests commented that they really enjoyed the food. We had the best day and would choose Loose Mansion again in a heartbeat. You can tell that the owner, Barbara, and the whole Loose Mansion team really know what they are doing and care about their clients.
Ashley Vance: We attended my brother in laws wedding here. The bride was sure to inform them that my daughter has a cinnamon allergy. The staff paid enough attention to the guest to know which one was here. We were getting our food and one of the fabulous staff members came up to my daughter and I; verified her and told her what had cinnamon in it. Then followed up with saying we will bring out your other daughters food. She has sensory overload and made sure to accommodate for all. I was so impressed with ALL of the staff members. Everyone was awesome.

Cynthia Thompson: Loose Mansion is a beautiful Venue. I made multiple changes with my contract and they were more than happy to do all the updates. I made sure the wedding was how I wanted it. During our rehearsal they were so good with children and helping our ring bearer and flower girl out. They reached out to all our vendors and had everything placed where I wanted them to be. There's a padlock to the brides and grooms suite so we knew everything was secured. The dinner service was amazing. The food is delicious and the appetizers is amazing. Also, after the event ended they helped move all the things we needed downstairs so we can put it in the car. Would recommend this venue

Allison Singley: A beautiful venue! The eclectic, manufacturing style is so interesting, and there are so many cool spaces!
Michelle Sommer: Caitlin made everything so easy for our wedding reception. I cannot thank her enough for all that she did for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing during the reception and we could just enjoy our night. We also loved the fact that we got the whole space from Friday evening through Sunday morning to set up and take down. Absolutely beautiful space inside and so charming. Parking was abundant for our guests, and we had a dedicated space behind a locked fence for our car. We appreciated the numerous check ins to make sure our night was perfect, and it was. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a wedding reception in the downtown KC area.

Amanda Robinson: The Oliver Building was the first vendor we booked which really set the tone for the amazing level of service we had from all vendors on our wedding day! We were originally drawn to the style and historic beauty of The Oliver, but all of the amazing amenities and support from their team made choosing them as our venue a no brainer. It checked so many boxes for us: open-vendor policy, all-weekend access, close enough to downtown but still with ample space for parking, unique setting, venue coordinator and on-site staff, and provided linens, tables, and chairs. They also have an ADA accessible entrance and an elevator with an attendant for anyone who cannot manage the stairs, which were must haves for us with older family members. In the year after booking, they made so many awesome updates to the building which really shows that they are invested in making sure everyone’s events are special for years to come. One of the greatest “bonuses” of The Oliver is the family suite; it really came in handy to have an extra (comfortable!) space for family members who weren’t in the wedding party, but were on-site for getting ready and family photos. We had multiple walk-throughs leading up to the big day, and the planning meetings were so helpful. Everyone on their team was so pleasant to work with, especially Caitlin and Curtis! They are so hardworking and accommodating. Everyone always had a smile on their face and made us feel so special. They provided staff for setup, room flip, cleanup, and someone was onsite any time we were there throughout the weekend to answer any questions that came up. It was reassuring to know that these important tasks were taken care of, so we could simply enjoy the events with our loved ones. With access to 3 floors, there is a lot of space for your event, but the warmth of the materials and colors of the building make the space feel intimate enough for smaller events as well. We loved the natural beauty of the building’s style so didn’t feel as though we needed to decorate too much, but the space can be dressed up to any liking. We received so many compliments about the venue from our guests, and we are so happy to know that they enjoyed celebrating at The Oliver as much as we did. I would seriously recommend this venue to everyone, and hope to have or attend another event there in the future!

Engraveable Creations Personalized Cutting Boards: We had our wedding ceremony, and reception at Cellar 222 in June 2023. We picked this venue because of the urban feel, great location and price, the minimal decorating we had to do. Everything was easy and seamless from the very beginning. Steve is awesome to work with and very fast at responding to any and all questions, as well as offering helpful advice. We were told from the beginning that they were very flexible and easy-going, and we found that to be true through the whole planning . We had about 80 people at our wedding, We were able to bring in all of our own alcohol, we just had to use a licensed bar tending service. We were also able to use the licensed caterer of our choice. The venue itself is beautiful, we really just added a few decorations to make it more personal for us. There is a parking lot available for guests to use during the event, which is really nice for being in a downtown location, We could not have been happier with this venue for our wedding. Our family and friends had lots of compliments on how it looked. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding. Thank you for making our day perfect.

On the day of the wedding, he sent me a text letting me know everything was set up and ready to go and it was a relief. Our wedding was great and we got so many compliments on Cellar 222. It is so naturally beautiful so there wasn't much extra decorating for us to do. Overall, a beautiful and great venue. Hanna Gore: We had a smaller wedding (50ish people) and this venue was everything we needed and more! Steve was great to work with and was super calm during the entire process. I toured the venue a few different times with friends and family and he was always so patient with me. The venue looked incredible for our actual wedding and they did a great job of flipping the space between the ceremony and reception. If you are looking for a laid back space that has incredible preferred vendors (catering, bar, and linens) look no further than Cellar 222.
Chad Bruton: We used Cellar 222 for our wedding reception in March of 2023. We hosted a cocktail style reception with a full bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a 6 piece band for slightly over 150 guests. We had a lot of people in the space, yet it never seemed too crowded. The two floors allowed our guests to spread out and created some separation for those that wanted to dance the night away with the band upstairs (shout out to KC All-Stars) and those who wanted to spend the time talking in the more subdued downstairs. It was an amazing evening and we could not be happier with Cellar 222. Steve did a great job of supporting us and giving us advice along the way. The venue is beautiful and needs no decoration, although we added a few just make it extra special...including lots of candles! From the moment we walked through the space for our initial tour we knew it was the right spot for our event.Aside from the venue being turnkey ready some of the definite benefits of this venue is the flexibility you have to use outside vendors. We opted to use several of the preferred vendors that Steve provided us and they too were awesome to work with (shout out to Top Shelf Bartending, Dutzel Catering, and Sugar Beats Bake Shop). Additionally, as a gay couple we are always attuned to how welcoming the vendors we worked with seemed in the process. Not all businesses are as open minded as we would hope and it was import to us to work with people who are supportive of our tribe. From the start Steve was awesome to work with and it was definitely apparent he was a supportive ally. We honestly have not one concern, complaint, or issue and highly recommend Cellar 222! Cellar 222 is beautiful, affordance, flexible, and in a great location with lots of parking for guests. You will not be disappointed!

For our small wedding of only 15 guests, we wanted a venue that didn't feel cavernous, but was large and elegant enough to fit the special occasion. While this venue can hold a lot more people, its layout and Tuscan wine cellar decor made it feel cozy and intimate for our ceremony and reception. In fact, the furniture and decor along the walls are so beautiful that we didn't need to bring many decorations of our own, which was perfect since we were trying to keep our day as easy and low-stress as possible. The owner, Steve, is AMAZING. He is so kind and easygoing, and we knew the moment we met him and saw the venue that Cellar 222 was the way to go. He recommended great vendors that frequently work with the venue so the planning process was a breeze, but we also appreciated the flexibility of choosing our own bakery for the cake. Overall, I am SO glad that we chose Cellar 222 for our wedding. I felt so pretty coming down the staircase in my dress to walk down the aisle, and everyone loved the reception that followed and kept talking about how beautiful and unique the venue is. We had some unique ideas we wanted to try how we set up and planned our reception, and they worked with us to make every idea happen just as we had pictured it. We had some unexpected hitches pop up at the start of the reception, and they handled that beautifully keeping everything moving like pros. They worked with all of our vendors to make everything run smooth the day-of, and didn't bat an eye at any request or idea we threw out.

Stephanie Rennie: When I was looking for a wedding venue, I had a lot of wants and needs. Most places were too expensive for just the space with no tables and chairs or linens etc. then I fell upon the DeLeon. It looked amazing inside and Jodie and Eric were so kind and welcoming. I had a million questions that they took their time to answer and were very up front about all costs so there were no surprises. I also didn’t want to spend a year planning, I wanted it to all be done in the beginning so I could just wait for the day and enjoy it. They gave me a full list of vendors that they knew would go off without a hitch. And they were right. Every single person I used was excellent. Not only that but they decorated the whole place to my specifications. I got to choose what I wanted and it was all set on the day. They were also my coordinators, checkin hosts and security. My whole experience before the wedding made me feel like I was the only bride. It was so personal and enjoyable to work with these two. Then on the wedding they ran everything like clockwork and helped make sure I was taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience so next time you’re looking for an easy worry free wedding that’s exactly what you want, call Jodie and Eric. Did I mention I was a pain in Jodie’s butt constantly messaging her with updates and questions and not only was she responsive, she was so positive about it all. Yeah they are awesome and the venue is lovely!
Kelly Kaminski: I don't even know where to begin! Jodie and Eric are the best! I live out of state and when looking for venues I saw The DeLeon and fell in love with it. I booked an appointment to see the venue and after meeting Jodie and Eric and seeing the venue in person, I knew I had to book. From the very beginning they have been there for me. They know what they are doing and you can tell they love doing it. Living out of state makes planning a wedding a bit difficult, however they gave me a list of excellent vendors and that made everything so much easier. Any question I had was answered right away and everything seemed to be going well. Then the pandemic hit. We were at our two week out meeting with Jodie and I was having a complete melt down. I will never be able to thank Jodie enough for how she treated me that day. She is the absolute best! A couple days later we have to postpone the wedding. It's not what we wanted to do but we didn't really have a choice. Jodie was very accommodating during this unprecedented time. We rescheduled the wedding and was able to reschedule all the vendors as well for the new date. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and all I can say is that had I not had Jodie there, the wedding would have been a disaster. I was so overwhelmed with everything going on and Jodie was there the whole time to make sure we stayed on schedule and everything went perfect for our special day. I highly recommend The DeLeon Event Space, the venue is absolutely beautiful and the owners are great. If you do book with them, please listen to them about which vendors to use. They know what they are talking about.

"National Pandemic" happens and everything is turned upside down. This of course is out of The owners and I control, but instead of offering us a refund of any amount, we are told to choose between July and August or lose everything. This day meant more to us than we should even have to explain. We wanted this to be perfect, Instead, the year doesn't work for us outside of the day we paid for and the owner begins to tell us about a "contract" that we signed that had no listing of anything out of our control except deployment. ooops she did include death on a facebook post. We worked numerous jobs in and out to make this one day extra special and the venue takes everything we worked so hard for and we do not get to experience this one special day. She stated the governor only "SUGGESTED" a limited amount of people. Well i have two children with Aarskog syndrome who are high risk and could not even leave the house. (so have a wedding w/o two of my children nor my family and friends just so we dont lose out on our money) not knowing when this will even end. Please dont waste money or time, she would rather argue (her way or the highway) per her contract than show any empathy or compassion. Of course she would like to talk about not cancelling our wedding due to split payments because now look, she has every penny requested and we are out every single dime and no wedding.everything was perfect until we requested a refund due to none of our family, friends AND TWO CHILDREN not being able to attend having to reschedule with work, flights etcccc. due to this horrific "National Pandemic" steer clear because if anything in the world happens THEY DO NOT CARE, unless deployed or a spouse passes away.

Timmy Gibson: One of my favorite venues! As a Wedding Officiant I get to see so many of Kansas City's finest Venues, and Feast of Fancy in the Historic Westbottoms is at the TOP of my list of KC's Totally Cool and Unique Wedding Venues. It's urban elegance at it's finest with food that will change your life! I should also add that the Staff at Feast of Fancy are as awesome as the venue is beautiful and the food is tasty! Willow Carr: Feasts of Fancy was perfect for our wedding. Stephanie was our event coordinator, and she was helpful and well organized throughout the planning process. She made sure to iron out all the details of the event to ensure that the day of went as smoothly as possible. On the day of the wedding, the staff were so accommodating and attentive. The space was beautiful and I felt that all of my wishes during the planning process were honored. The food was also fantastic; we had multiple guests tell us it was the best food they have had at a wedding. I would absolutely recommend Feasts of Fancy for those who are planning a wedding.
Angela Dugan-Starr: Went for a wedding, the decor and food was incredible. The flex indoor/outdoor space was stunning and the staff was very helpful and kind. Parking was across the street, and traffic police assisted with the area. The venue was also stunning with open beam ceilings and wood floors
Sarah Jurgensmeyer: We loved Feasts of Fancy! The venue is absolutely stunning, inside and out. It's so wonderful to have so much bundled together- they take care of the flatware, glasses, plates, chairs, linens, servers, bartenders, food... I didn't realize until talking with people at other venues  just how much FOF takes care of for you! It was perfect for us as a couple planning a wedding from out of town. We loved the outdoor space for the venue and at first I was nervous about the Oscar style seating rain plan, but those fears were unfounded because when we *did* have to shift indoors because of rain, the space was perfect and made us feel surrounded by love. There was still plenty of room for all the guests, seating for immediate family, and room for all of the bridal party and groomsmen to stand. The food was INCREDIBLE- we did serving stations and every single one was amazing, our guests raved about all the food. It's also great that you can bring in your own alcohol and return what is unopened- it was so nice to be able to have the drinks of your choice and not have to do a bar package per head. The servers were also incredible and did a phenomenal job with everything. We couldn't imagine our wedding anywhere else!
Cammy Ylo: Stephanie was my coordinator and did a wonderful job! She was very kind and helpful, and extremely organized. We chose the venue because even without our decorations, it was beautiful and had the most gorgeous courtyard. It also was all inclusive, so we got our linens, dishwater, silverware, tables, coffee service, AND food all included. That made it much easier for me, as I did not want to stress myself over a 6 hour wedding reception. We got our alcohol through Cellar Rat, who coordinated with FoF so they did the delivery (they also refund for any unopened alcohol). My friend (who did my florals) kept commenting on how helpful and sweet the staff was, as a lot of wedding coordinating teams are super rude and not accommodating in the slightest. I can’t recommend Feasts of Fancy enough!
Tom Ruopp: Beautiful venue. Was a great wedding party except they shut down the bar at 9:15pm when the party ended at 10pm without a last call. Additionally, they took away the dessert platter early and were cleaning up too early. I think if the party goes til 10pm then we should be able to enjoy the food, drinks, and decor until that time. Really bums out the last hour of the party when people are just taking stuff down all around you.EDIT: It was not the part of the venue to determine timing of take-down, so updated to 5 stars. Thank you Feasts of Fancy for clarifying!
Julianne Owen: Feasts of Fancy was so wonderful to work with, I cannot recommend enough! They were easy to communicate with and it was incredible having a venue that was a one stop shop in so many way - food, linens, serving ware, and some of the decor even. They let us bring our own alcohol and served it exactly as requested and the food was so delicious, everyone was talking about it! The space was even more beautiful than I had pictured once we had it all decorated, and everything literally came together like a dream. The service the day of was impeccable as well, the waiters were attentive and even placed guests’ napkins on the backs of their chairs when they got up. It was such a pleasure to work with Camille too, and her sense of humor helped lighten the mood at just the right moments! So happy we chose to use Feasts of Fancy.
Kelsey Argall: If you are on the fence about having your wedding here, get off the fence! Do it! We had such a fantastic, easy going experience planning our wedding with feasts of fancy. The food was delicious (get the coq au vin) - many people said best wedding food they’ve ever had. Every aspect of the service was perfect. I’ve even attached a picture of one of the servers wiping icing from my daughter/flower girls hands after giving her a treat. They were so sweet to her and to everyone else. The venue is beautiful, decorations are honestly optional with how nice the space looks. Compliments were flowing all night, there was chatter of “best wedding ever” :) 1,000 stars.
Harley Knapp: We used Feast of Fancy for catering for our wedding day, and they did not disappoint!! After working with them for over 2 years since we postponed our wedding twice, they were always very understanding and easy to work with! They were able to accommodate us for our menu requests, even last minute when we forgot to request a gluten free meal (oops!), and everything was delicious. Everything went so smoothly, highly recommend!
Kelsey Wendland-Moore: We had our wedding reception here in June 2021--it was fantastic! Our food was overall delicious (honestly one of my favorite aspects of our reception!), the vibe and space itself was perfect, and FOF's staff both leading up to and day-of was stellar. Vicki and Camille know exactly what they are doing and are SO helpful. Set-up was very easy and they made clean-up/packing up decor that we brought, flowers, extra booze, etc at the end of the night very easy. I even left my cell phone in the bridal suite by accident after my spouse and I left for the night, and Vicki helped us get it back the following day before we left for our honeymoon. Last but not least, the outdoor courtyard space was icing on the cake!

Meg Murphy: My husband and I got married at Feasts of Fancy in September, after having to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. We worked with Camille throughout the planning process, who was patient and engaged as we worked through the logistics of rescheduling everything.On the day-of, the staff was friendly and helpful, always around to refill a plate or drink. The food was delicious and we received a ton of compliments on it. We didn't do much decoration to the venue because it already was so beautiful. I definitely would recommend working with them.

Christine Whipple: Choosing Feasts of Fancy as our venue and catering team was one of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding! After touring the space, it was clear that the Hobbs building (where they are located) had so much more charm than your typical event space. From the original wood floors to the brick walls, rustic pillars, and cobblestone courtyard, this venue is vintage chic and so gorgeous. It needed very few added decorations, as they already have lanterns with battery-operated candles and café lights hung both indoors & out. Vines climb the fences outside, making for a great photo backdrop.In regards to Covid, we did re-schedule twice with no issues. Since the pandemic, they told us they installed UV Scrubbers and HEPA filtration for their HVAC system at double the room capacity. They also had some hand sanitizer available. With the recent surge of the Delta variant, we did have a lot of guests who were initially nervous about coming but in the end told us they felt safe and comfortable at our wedding. We had just shy of 100 guests in attendance so we were able to space out the tables pretty well.The food was delicious and the tasting events provided us so much inspiration! It was like a mock-wedding every time we went-- a great time to meet new vendors and see how they would use fun linens and different floral arrangements. To see the food displayed at our wedding was beautiful & impressive- it's unlike any other buffet I've seen! The staff filled the plates for each guest in line due to Covid.The BEST part of our experience though was the staff. Camille was our day-of coordinator and she is a true professional. The whole event ran so smoothly. We heard positive stories from guests afterwards of how the servers were kind & attentive. For example one brought their kids some extra fruit and made sure the vegetarian and gluten-free guests were served their alternate meal options. They also offered to serve the older guests even though we only paid for the buffet. They provided champagne service and also offered to serve the cake as well.So much is included when you book with Feasts of Fancy. You should have no hesitations when considering this venue!

Rick Robards: We held our Daughters reception at Feasts of Fancy last Saturday. I can’t imagine a better urban venue. Camille and her people did a great job! Good food, beautiful tables and very professional service staff. We wanted a place that allows you to bring your own alcohol and FoF fits that bill. Very nice courtyard for cocktail hour outside as well. Their flexibility during COVID allowed us to have a fabulous event even with some tradeoffs to meet city requirements.
Natalie Owens: If we hadn’t done our wedding at Feasts of Fancy, we likely would still not be married. Our original wedding date was set for May 2nd, 2020. However, when COVID-19 started to impact the United States, we were told that we would have to reschedule our wedding. The owners (Andy and Kathleen Jacot) were extremely transparent throughout this process. They communicated to us that they were not able to host any weddings at the venue in May and told us as soon as they were made aware of these changes. They provided us with a list of open dates and we were able to reschedule our wedding to June 5th fairly easily. Later, when Andy and Kathleen were told that they couldn’t host any weddings in early June, they displayed the same transparency and told us as soon as possible so that we could reschedule again to late July. We truly believe that if we had been working with any other venue that we would have probably had to have cancelled our wedding and elope. Thankfully, the staff and owners at Feasts of Fancy were transparent, easy to work with, and communicative with us from the beginning and we were able to celebrate our special day.From the complimentary monthly tastings, working with our day of wedding coordinator (Vicki) to map out the perfect timeline and get her insights on colors, themes, etc., recommendations provided by Feasts of Fancy for third party vendors (i.e., music, flowers, etc.), we could not have had a better wedding planning experience (despite having to reschedule multiple times). The staff at Feasts of Fancy ensured that everyone at our wedding was safe and had a great time celebrating us. Andy recommended that we use UV air purifiers in an effort to kill any airborne germs that may have been present inside during the reception and the staff set up some tables outside for guests that were not comfortable sitting inside. The staff used gloves, worse masks, and served everyone their food on a plate individually in an effort to be as safe as possible. This paid off as we are happy to report that none of the guests that attended our wedding contracted COVID-19.We had numerous friends and family members compliment us on our signature drink that the staff at Feasts of Fancy prepared and almost everyone asked us for the potatoes au gratin recipe that was served as a side dish. Needless to say, the food was excellent and served as an exclamation point on our special day. We were so happy that we had the opportunity to choose exactly what we wanted to be served at the wedding after attending numerous tastings and with recommendations from Vicki / the staff. The experience provided to us is not unique, as the staff at Feasts of Fancy makes everyone feel like their wedding is the most important and does whatever they can to have each wedding go as smooth as possible. Our wedding was truly was a dream come true and it was a pleasure to work with Feasts of Fancy. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

It's awesomeness is in the name, "Grand" and indeed it is Grand! It's something you wouldn't think is in Kansas/Missouri, maybe New York, or Los Angeles ... but it's right here in the lovely Kansas City and it's super spectacular. It's elegant, luxurious, posh, and swanky! You should take a tour before you book anything else. It's a must see.

And that’s exactly what happened for us. Our wedding was an absolute fairytale, and our photos at The Grand Hall prove it! But what made us decide to choose this venue wasn’t just the aesthetics of the space or extraordinary bride/groom suites, it was the incredible, one-of-a-kind staff! Our wedding planning lasted nearly two years because of Covid and throughout the entire process, Tyler and Dom were the most patient, kind, and helpful people we could have hoped for! They answered endless questions and helped make decisions we were struggling with making on our own. They treated us (and all of our vendors) like royalty!Fast forward to the day of our wedding/reception, and the entire staff of The Grand Hall was just as amazing as Dom and Tyler! They all worked together to help get us our incredible photos, made sure we felt comfortable, and made sure all of our guests were taken care of.We had the best day of our lives and The Grand Hall & staff played such a big part in that. We can’t recommend this venue enough and hope to use it to renew vows in a couple decades!

Rebecca Pearson: My husband and I toured many venues around Kansas City for our wedding. The moment we stepped into The Grand Hall we knew that this was the venue for us. Tyler (their Event Coordinator) gave us a personal tour of the space and he was so knowledgable and kind about answering any questions we had for our wedding weekend. The space was perfection, absolutely breath taking. It had marble, accents of gold...very regal and elegant. The Grand Hall offers the second floor Mezzanine to be used as our cocktail hour space offering sofas, lounge chairs and multiple rounds for people to stand at while our guests ate Hors D'oeuvres and drank alcohol while waiting for us to take our personal one-on-one photos on top of The Grand Hall's Rooftop Terrace. The venue also provided a bridal suite and a grooms suite for the 'getting ready' process. Dom, the Bar Manager, was very informative about which alcohol would suit our wedding day best and made sure to find us our preferred Champagne and we even got to choose a personal cocktail for both the bride and groom. The bartenders were extremely sweet and our guests loved how much fun they were having while serving everyone. Tyler and Dom were an amazing pair to work with and they made sure our wedding day was flawless. The space held our 170 person guest count very comfortably and the dance floor was extremely large for all of the tables that fit around it. We could not have imagined having our wedding reception anywhere else, the space was absolutely perfect. The Grand Hall has done an amazing job choosing Tyler and Dom to support us- we wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else! Thank you!- Rebecca and Zack Pearson

If you byob it’s so perfect because they have 2 bars! The ready room was the perfect fitting room! And the overall aesthetic was gorgeous! Jana Lathrop: My daughter was just married at the Union on March 10th. The wedding could not have been any better! The Union was awesome (urban vibe, open house Wednesdays, 24 hour rental, 3 floors of space, great bridal room, and terrific location) with every space well planned and designed. That said, the best part of the Union is the team. Jessica and Madison are the ultimate personable, professional and knowledgeable event planners. They were so responsive to our questions (we had many) and directed us in ways that we had not thought of going. Truly, we could not speak higher of this very talented team! I would not look any further for event space and chose the Union…..you would not regret it! Truly, they have a great team and we could not have been more pleased with the results.
Maegan Miller: They went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect! To start, the venue is a one-stop shop. We used one floor for the ceremony, the speakeasy downstairs for cocktail hour and the after party, and upstairs for the reception. They also have a rooftop with the most gorgeous downtown views which we used for our first look and pictures. The bridal suite was beautiful and was the perfect spot for hanging out with my girls and getting ready. Jess and Madison answered every single question we had and made the magic happen! We wanted a picture with Bird scooters and they took it to the next level… They brought them on the roof for the BEST pics! UNION also allows for a 24 hour rental so we didn’t have to worry about rushing out and packing up the night of our wedding. HANDS DOWN would choose this venue 100x over!
Wild Rose Events and Planning: As wedding planners, UNION is one of our absolute favorite venues to work at. Their team (Jess, Madison, Hayden) are exactly the type of people you want to surround yourself with on your wedding day. Madison is also a phenomenal day-of coordinator & since we do not offer day-of, she is our favorite to collaborate & work with. We have now done more weddings at UNION than any other venue and it’s for very good reasons!!! Get married here and save yourself the stress of any other venue, trust us! 🙌🏼

We also loved the BYOB of the venue. It was a great location for us - very central and easy for out of town guests. Having a wedding in winter was a gamble, but having the ceremony and reception in one space meant no driving if there was inclement weather. Our rooftop photos are DIVINE!! Great lighting indoors for photos as well. We loved working with the team - Jessica, Hayden, and Madison were all amazing. Madison was our day of coordinator which helped take so much wedding stress off of my shoulders. She is a BOSS and got things handled so everything went perfectly. I cannot say enough amazing things about her - she truly made the wedding everything I wanted. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend checking out UNION. I also highly recommend using their coordination services.

It's not only conveniently located in midtown (Crossroads/downtown-ish) area of KC. The Venue itself is so cool, especially the downstairs Speakeasy that's often used for Cocktail Hour. I also love working with their staff, always helpful, thoughtful, responsive and friendly! I love them, I think you will too!

They have been SO friendly and accommodating to my needs and extremely helpful. I love the energy of this place and it is absolutely beautiful. They also have an amazing rooftop for pictures. Pamela Curry: Where to begin... I couldn't not have been more satisfied with my experience at UNION. Every staff member I worked with, Jessica, Madison, and Hayden, were an absolute delight. Madison was my Client Concierge and helped make sure that we had small things taken care of that we didn't think about at our final walkthrough, and I know she did so many other things, behind the scenes, that I don't even know about to make the day run smoothly. We got so many compliments on the venue! It was the perfect backdrop for my wedding. You could easily dress it up or keep it on the simple side. The multiple levels allow for variety and help break up the flow of your day. If you love the website and pictures, you'll fall in love with the venue once you see it in person... the speakeasy, the rooftop, the get ready room, all just *chefs kiss*

Clare Sabata: The UNION was a beautiful place to host my wedding. It requires almost no decorations, but is very easy to dress up if you desire. The three floors were a hit and helped the flow of our wedding feel smooth and connected. Also, they provide a lot of perks that many other venues do not (think: tables, room flipping, they don't kick you out at a certain time, etc) which made this a much better bang for your buck than other venues in the area.We also utilized the UNION's planning services for day-of coordination. Madison was an absolute must. We sat down with her before the meeting and talked about things that we hadn't considered and laid out the timeline and all of the details that allowed everyone to take a breath and enjoy the wedding day of. I could NOT have done it without her! From other prices I saw, their day-of coordination seemed to be reasonable, and as she works at the venue, she knows all the ins and outs and things that we could use for the day. If you're on the fence for coordination, I would say just do it! It makes everything much much easier and less stressful.I highly recommend both the venue and day of coordination through the UNION.
