Student of the Word of God: Kept hearing about this great place near the City market, so my wife and I decided to go. #1, we were sat in the corner near some dead plants so maybe that’s what caused the flies and gnats to invade our space. #2, our server wasn’t too pleasant. #3, a gnat flew into my food, when I tried to get my server’s attention, she walked right past me. D B: Our group had a fun brunch experience, and I look forward to going back. We started with the cinnamon roll which has bacon pieces on top; it was good but the roll was a bit dry. The biscuits and gravy were great, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mimosa tower, which was pretty good. Lastly, the service was excellent and our meals came out on a reasonable amount of time.

Diane McKinney: One of our favorite Sunday Brunch spots! We like to sit outside and this summer they have added a shade cover so it's more comfortable out there. All of the food we've had has been amazing. There is a regular Sunday brunch menu as well as a special menu specific to that day. I was dissapointed that they had run out of the ingredients to make the Mimosa special so I was forced to drink a regular one :(
Betty Jones: Came here for lunch/brunch. Super cute place. Street parking. Outside seating is very nice. All shaded! Coffee is a French press ☕️. Fancy!! Got the cinnamon roll to share. It was very large. Beware lol. It’s very sweet but the frosting is amazing. Got Lord kyler for the main meal. It was pretty good. I was imagining normal sausage, not pork sausage lol which would’ve made it better I think haha but flavoring was great. 👍Huge portion. And it came with super cute tiny fries 🍟 Lolol. Daniel Nagati: You might be wondering why the average reviews of this restaurant are so high after you eat here. It's because this used to be an excellent restaurant before new management took over. Now the food is bland, the menu is stale and overpriced, and the service is terrible. If you were curious why a restaurant would only be open 2 days a week, it's because no one ever comes here. Suzi Hoffman: Our son and daughter-in-law were at Research Medical Center to have our grandson and we stopped by Niecie's to eat supper last night (12/28/19) before the baby arrived. My husband and I had the BBQ brisket sandwich and our teen daughters tried the pancake meal (also bought some peanut butter cookies when we left...yum!!). The food was delicious! Service was amazing. All 3-4 staff members we interacted with we're so kind and gracious. The lady who worked the register was exceptionally kind. We live North of the River so we don't get in that area very often...so glad we were able to!

Jonathan Kedziora: I ordered through Uber Eats. I ordered 2 meatloaf sandwiches and only got 1. It was dry burnt meatloaf slices slopped onto a slice of soggy bread then covered with a nasty salty brown gravy (hardly a sandwich). The mashed potatoes were cold and unseasoned at least there was way too much nasty brown gravy. The Spaghetti was a bowl of mushy over cooked pasta served in a bad red sauce. The spaghetti tasted soapy. At least they wash the dishes? The caramel cake had no flavor to the cake, just sweet flour; the icing was just gritty butter. Absolutely the WORST place I've EVER ordered from. My experience is noteworthy for sure. Noted...I will NEVER order there again.

Cherie Crawford: Just do yourself a favor and go! Foodie friends have been telling me about this place for years, and just haven't made it... Until today!! It did not disappoint!! First: We had LaShawn (I hope I spelled it correctly) wait on our family, and she was extremely pleasant! Tracey Wallace: There was 5 of us eating and we sat in there after finishing up eating our food as there was no one waiting for a table, they came over several times asking us if we needed anything and then asked if they could take our plates and glasses as we could sense they were ready for us to leave as there was 2 hours before their closing time but we gave a good tip anyway but the kicker was that as we were leaving one of the ladies who was trying to whisper said "about time" - never again will we go again.
Serena Smith: I usually get the grilled wings and greens for the side. I hate that it taste different depending on who cooks it. Sometimes the wings are well grilled sometimes I have to ask for them to make sure my onions and chicken is grilled correctly. Other than that customer service is always good and I keep going back.

Aaron: Went here because my Airbnb was super close and it was recommended. Cool atmosphere. Order at the counter and then grab a seat. Went basic eggs, toast, potato and bacon. Food came out in three minutes flat. Standard fare toast was very soft, potatoes a bit salty and bacon a bit chewy. Huge plate for $12 I couldn’t finish. Coffee was not good. Underwhelming but I’d give it another shot.

I had the biscuit Benedict and that was so good. The pork belly and poached eggs where cooked perfect and that gravy was amazing. Son loved the sausage and bacon on his farmers plate. Emma was an amazing server and when we go back we will sit with her again. Take advantage of the free parking across the street just make sure you know your plate number.

I tried the peach chipotle wings were lacking flavor, the sauce could have been so much better! The mimosas were good & I appreciated them bringing the champagne & orange juice separately. Candace Dealy: The cafe was super cute and parking was not an issue. The Fall pig was a different take on a grilled cheese. The nice crunch from the thin sliced apple complimented the earthy sandwich. The bacon was thick and delicious as well. They even let me substitute some delicious fried greed tomatoes for the salad. Roy: Great place, good, open atmosphere and good people, excellent service, and awesome menu. We breakfast here regularly and recently stopped in for dinner. First time, so I can only speak to the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and the carrot cake for dessert--both were excellent. Highly recommend!
Brian Kucks: I ate breakfast with my family and asked the waiter to add the bill for a group of volleyball players to my bill who were also eating breakfast at the same time. They added their bill to ours and we paid and I asked to remain anonymous and we left. My daughter was in that group and we found out later that they had to pay for their meals even though I had already paid for both tables. I tried calling their phone number but only got a voicemail to which I left my name and number and have yet to receive a call back. Hopefully it was an oversight but the waiter even asked me if I knew the people at the table and made a big deal about it. Not good business.Update:I was contacted by Meagan (I am assuming the owner) the next day after leaving the review and she apologized for the oversight and gave me a full refund for both my families breakfast and the table of girls that I paid for. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Ethan Eric: At the Congress ave location. All the tables I didn’t have people in them were covered in dishes. They told us to wait until they clean the table for us. Several minutes went by as we watched workers stand around and do nothing and not clean our table off so me and my group went ahead and took a table. Martha asked us what you wanted to drink and asked if you’re ready to order. We told her we didn’t have any menus she went and got us menus, and then left never cleaning off the table. When she came back to takeout orders, I asked her if she could please clean off the table and she said that she would not because she asked us to wait. I asked her if she was expecting a tip and they kicked us out of the store. We left without any resistance and went to the parking lot to our cars. I proceeded to start writing this review they decided to go out of their way to come out and tell us that we were being a disturbance in the parking lot and that they had called the police. When we said that we would wait until the police arrived they just kept yelling obscenities at us until we got into our cars. I was respectful to them the entire time, even when they started the conflict and tried to continue it, even after we had left the building.
Leia Lozano: Fresh off the plane and looking for a place to eat at 10:30 at night. First off, the food was great and affordable. Secondly, the staff worked together as a team and the food came out quickly. Nikki and another coworker gave us recommendations to things to check out as first time Kansas City visitors. Anita Stancle: I visited this location last night while in town because there wasn't anything else open in the area. The workers did not acknowledge that we were there. We waited 10-15 minutes at the counter, and they did not take our order or even offer us anything to drink. There were two workers last night, and witnessed they were so unprofessional. I witnessed them dropping toast on the floor, and kicking the toast to the side instead of picking it up. She picked up some money off the floor that was dropped by the cook, and put it in his pocket to proceed to make a plate and then take some food off the plate with her dirty gloves. The cook forgot that he was cooking sausage, and let it burn and told the customer he forgot and got distracted but would need to cook more sausage for the customer. After observing this for about 20 minutes, we decided to leave. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
