s.john: If I could give 10 stars I defiantly would. Joe and Fun jet Vacations was tremendously awesome during our vacation that was ended due to Hurricane IRMA . Me and my husband went to the Virgin Islands in celebration of our 10 year wedding anniversary which ended terribly. We felt as if Joe was one our family members that was also trying to get us home, after the power came back on at the resort I called Joe to tell him what had happened and that we were safe, the first thing he said was I tried calling the resort phone to check on you guys that right there made us feel so thankful to have someone that cared. From booking to the end Joe was wonderful he worked very hard to accommodate us in every way he could. Joe placed me and my husbands name on FEMA's rescue list before we were even told about it he also rescheduled our flights home as well as FIRST CLASS. He worked non stop until we arrived back in the states once we arrived to the rescue boat Joe had already taken care of everything needed upon arriving home. Joe and Fun Jet had a luxury transport driver waiting for us to take us to the airport. He even offered to call our jobs and family to inform them of what was going on. He even went as far as typing a letter up for us to have for our jobs school etc. Joe holds a special place in our hearts he really treated us extremely well. When I say he's the best he's beyond no matter what time we text or called Joe was always there and 2 steps ahead of us we are so thankful for him, Every last one of our friends said that just from our experience and our bragging that JOE is the way to go and future vacations they will use Joe. Our resort was closed. The day after our wedding Joe came through planning a entire new trip. Will and I had a fabulous honeymoon in Maui. Joe worked hard to get it arranged. We loved our club level upgrade, free breakfasts, and our room with a view of the island and the beach. The sunset helicopter ride was awesome, and we enjoyed the luau too. The tour guide app Joe recommended was so informative and helpful on The Road to Hana and elsewhere. We highly recommend Plaza Vacations and Joe Siragusa for your next trip.

Amber Sheffield: TERRIBLE!!!!! I would give 0 stars if I could. Please save yourself the hassle of booking with this agent. Joe is nice, but very scatter brain and inefficient. I booked our vacation with Joe the owner and purchased the travel insurance. I was able to find my same vacation at a significantly lower amount and was told I would need to use my travel insurance to cancel and re-book to take advantage of the lower price. I went ahead and had Joe cancel the reservation and he told me that it would be up to two weeks before my refund would be deposited back to the card that I originally paid with. I waited until after the two weeks and still did not see a refund. I called funjet (the host who he booked our vacation with) to have them check on the status and was told that Joe did not fill out a refund request form and that my refund was never processed. They said that the refunds are not automatic and he should know the process and would have had to submit a refund request for me. I now have to wait another two weeks before I will get my money back. I also was informed that I did not need to cancel and could have just received the low price guarantee due to having travel insurance. I feel completely taken advantage of, lied to and am appalled by the hassle that I have been through during the holiday season that could have been avoided. I was happier with my original flights and would have been fine with just having my price adjusted to the lower price instead of having to cancel the original booking, change my flights, forfeit $259.98 travel insurance cost, wait a month to get my deposit amount back, plus pay a new deposit and pay for travel insurance on the new booking. This has caused me stress, costed me many hours of time and hundreds of dollars. I normally do not write bad reviews, but I am hoping to save someone else the hassle that we went through.

Irwin Herrero: I started planning a surprise 60th Birthday trip for my husband, but was getting confused with destinations, costs and ideas. Talked with Joe, Pauline and Felicia at Plaza Vacations. They helped me figure out the cost differences amongst different destinations and areas more suited to our tastes. Joe helped plan a trip to an all-inclusive, adults only resort to Cancun and it wasn't easy because I had to change the dates a couple of times and watch my budget - Joe was VERY patient and accommodating to my apprehensions and requests. Brian Barnes: I called Joe after trying to research an all inclusive vacation myself for my wife's 40th birthday and getting overwhelmed with the number of choices and scenarios needed from finding the right location, booking the right room to booking the airfare as well. Joe was able to research many different choices that met our specifications in order to find the perfect spot we were looking for. Once we had picked the destination he booked everything for us and also booked five other couples as well. Tim Roth: Kelly Marchand saved my inept attempt to book a Spring Break Trip for my teenager. I contacted Kelly to help me with a shuttle to and from the airport and when I sent her my tickets, she realized that I had booked the WRONG DATES! Can you imagine if I had shown up at the airport the first day of Spring Break only to find my tickets were for the month before. Kelly worked tirelessly all afternoon to get my inaccurate tickets canceled and completely new flights booked. She worked her magic and got me a refund for my current flight, used part of that refund for tickets with that airline AND booked the other part with another airline. All the while keeping me with the same arrival and departure dates I needed for my nonrefundable resort stay. Think about it she was trying to book March flights in February!AND she was able to do it all within my budget! Hats off to Kelly! She was amazing to work with, a true wizard in the murky world of airline booking! Pramod Rayasa: I typically like planning and booking on my own. But from reviews, i decided to look into Absolute Travel for our Panama vacation. I emailed them and was surprised at an immediate response from Ana. She was very responsive and precise and knew exactly what to include for our trip. For the next two weeks, we exchanged emails to nail down the details. Ana is very detail oriented which is so necessary when traveling abroad. We are back from our Panama trip. Everything worked out as planned. The Panamanian local agency, Receptour, was excellent Ana Quintero and Antonio were outstanding and helped with all our needs. The only issue I encountered was that the Panama Canal had no ships (missed the boat on this one) when we visited. That was initially disappointing, but Receptour made up for it by taking me back when they found out that there would be a bunch of ships crossing the next morning! Ernie P: 2021 October: Once again Pepe worked with me to arrange a cycling tour of Switzerland. The bicycle and the luggage transfers were well done and prompt with no surprises. I was able to have 3 Alpine passes and several miles of scenic bike paths along the Reuss, Landquart and Rhine rivers. Traveling during COVID was a little different however the adventure was still great. As you can see from the 2019 trip review posted below, I was satisfied to repeat the efforts and engage Pepe at absolute travel once again. Great job on the logistics and hotel choices.2019 trip to Switzerland: Pepe helped create a customized road cycling and hiking vacation in the Swiss Alps. It was a challenge that proved to be a very successful trip. It involved rental of a premium racing bicycle, arranging good hotels along the way to accommodate a cyclist, and transport of luggage from one alpine village to another. It was a wonderful trip with the classic road bicycle routes with climbs to scenic passes in the alps. (most notably the Old Tremola road to Gotthard Pass). On alternate days enjoying the scenic hikes around the different ski villages that I stayed at. It was an outdoor enthusiast's holiday. And I believe that Absolute Travel Services came through for me. I was very happy with this trip.

Sally Anderson: We just returned from 2 1/2 weeks in Switzerland, a most magical trip with planning by Connie Janggen. We started planning a year ago and found Magic Switzerland (part of Absolute Travel Services) on the internet. After researching the company, we started working with Connie. We took one of their standard tours and changed it to make it our dream trip. Connie was very easy to work with and had great suggestions as she grew up in Switzerland. We planned the itinerary and Connie booked all the hotels and got the Swiss Travel Pass for us. The final itinerary she sent was amazing. Every day was so very clear - from walking directions to our hotel from the train station (many times it was just across the street!) to "things to do and see".Her choices for hotels was AMAZING! We had spectacular views from each room which had us giddy when we first entered! We chose First Class on the Travel Pass and were glad we did. The second class train cars were standing room only on some trips with no room for luggage. First Class was always half empty and quiet. To us it was worth the extra cost. The Swiss transit system is incredible. It is coordinated so well and the trains are so clean and niceWe had one glitch in a hotel reservation where they said our breakfast was not included. We emailed Connie and within and hour, it was cleared up. She is always prompt and answering emails and watched out for our interests.I would absolutely recommend Connie and Absolute Travel Services for your travel needs!Tim and Sally Anderson

Dinora Gonzalez: We would like to thank Connie Janggen of Magic Switzerland/ Absolute Travel Services, LLC of Kansas City for making travel arrangements for me and my husband not only to Zermatt and Interlaken Switzerland, but she also arranged our hotels and rail passage from London to Paris; from Paris to Switzerland; and then from Switzerland to Frankfurt - our final destination. She set up a very detailed itinerary, offered suggestions of things to do and a very detailed (and much appreciated) instructions on how to find our hotels, train timeline and thorough instructions on how to get in and out of the train stations. She responded very quickly to all my questions; and in general, was a joy to work with. What a wonderful trip she arranged for us! I just wished we had spent more time in Switzerland - a lovely, lovely country. Our two favorite hotels were in that country. We will have to go back to Zermatt and stay at the Aristella Swissflair. The owner and staff were a joy. Our least favorite hotel was the Malte Astotel in Paris - we were charged for 2 breakfasts even though my husband only had coffee for the two nights we were there. The room was quite small and did not have a closet or drawers for clothes. Nonetheless, the staff was very nice; and the room was clean and comfortable other than that. The Bloomsbury was also nice, but a little bit "stuffy" for our taste. The Hotel Spinne was also very very nice and had a nice restaurant and scenery was breathtaking. The rail services were easy to use, especially in Switzerland. It was a magnificent journey for us. Everything went smoothly including all our train rides. I highly recommend Connie and Absolute Travel Services.

Phil Scott: Connie Janggen of Magic Switzerland/Absolute Travel Services planned a trip for four of us to primarily Switzerland, but also Germany and Italy this summer and did a superb job! We had a great time in spite of the hotter than normal weather, and the hotels, Swiss rail passes, and other logistics that Connie arranged for us worked out extremely well. Would definitely recommend Connie to plan a trip to Switzerland.

We worked with Gina, who knows the country inside out, including little details that can save a lot of time and confusion later. She first got to know what we were interested in and had great communication with us throughout the process. She knew many accommodation options and types of activities that were available in each place and helped us choose what we wanted. She took care of flights, transport, and accommodation. On the trip, everything she was involved in ran absolutely flawlessly- we've never had such a smooth vacation experience. Hawkeye: We have just come from on second trip to Switzerland. We were fortunate to be able to visit several locations and cities throughout this beautiful country. We visited Lucerne, Zermatt, Murren, Grindlewald, St Moritz and Zürich. We took advantage of the great rail system to travel between cities. Catarina Santos: We've booked a multiple transfer with Ana Cetina from EnjoyGuatemala, in the holy week, that allowed us to go from Antigua to Flores, and then to San Ignácio.When we arrived at the Aurora airport to go to Flores we've noticed that our flights with TAG were canceled. We were very upset and afraid to loose all our bookings we had for the next days, because all the flights for that week were already overbooking.Then we contact Ana and she arranged us a private flight in a 6 seat plane!She manage herself to take us to other airport and introduced us to the pilote that was a very gentle man.Allthough we were very frightening because the size of the plane, we had a very pleasent 50min flight, we could see all above, takeoff and landing were soft and we had one of our best experiences in Guatemala.Thank you very much Ana for your commitment and concern, that allowed us to enjoy the rest of our journey!

Dylan Grant: I had reached out mid November and had been transferred to a non-local agent of Acendas. I had provided all information for all travelers as asked, and even attempted to pay my up front deposit. I was never followed up with, or contacted. It’s been 2 months now and I have no information or pricing for anything. It felt much of the weight of planning the trip was put back on me. I am a paying customer, and was hoping for a great experience as I’ve never used a travel agent before. It was the 3rd travel agency I’ve contacted in the Kansas City area and the only one to respond on the first phone call. Once I got transferred it went down hill. I’m sure they are great as the reviews reflect, but the agent I had was non existent to working with me. I wish I could have had the same experience as other customers.

Chiagozie Okoye: I called when they were very busy so there was a long wait. However, I was able to leave a voicemail and they got back to me later. Booking my travel was very easy; the agent walked me through the whole process and helped me compare options over the phone. After confirming everything, an email with the travel itinerary was sent to me. The email was very helpful because it included hyperlinks to go to websites where I could track my flight(s) and check in before arriving to the airport. When one my flights was delayed (the airline’s fault), I was able to call Acendas’ “emergency line” and get ahold of an agent within the minute. They were able to ameliorate the issue very quickly and get me back on my travel plans. I highly recommend Acendas for travels as I will be looking to them in the future.

Whether it was unfamiliarity or a stigma, we always thought travel agencies costed money. That's not the case with Acendas, whom we discovered through a presentation in Kansas City. They are local to KC and have agents that specialize in different regions and events. We had the pleasure of working with Kimberly who specializes in destination weddings, and the area we were interested in getting married: Playa del Carmen.Kimberly was very helpful in driving the discussions with an international resort and navigating policies and communication with them. She always conferred with us before agreeing on something and was a great advisor throughout the process.But why 4 stars? It might seem minor to others, but we discovered a major resort change (a good change) via social media and had to bring it to Acendas' attention to accommodate the change. Our stay at the resort would have been very different if we didn't bring it to their attention. In the end, everything was awesome, but we shouldn't have been the ones to bring up this major change.We will probably use them again for another international vacation and highly recommend them for an international wedding.

Ian Leftwich: We just returned from a family ski trip that Russ set up for us. Everything Russ said he would do, he did. We had not been skiing as a family and if you know what it takes to ski in Colorado, you know how many things there are to coordinate, time and do. Russ made arrangements for most and advised us on the rest. We are already planning our next trip with Russ at the lead.

Kristen Morris: We worked with Russ to plan our honeymoon. We knew we wanted to stay at a Sandals resort and were interested in one of the smaller resorts. Russ ultimately helped us pick Sandals Grenada. He had visited the resort and made recommendations that were exactly spot on. He urged us to stay in a beachfront room and he was exactly right! The view was breathtaking. He also encouraged us to book at the Club level and it was the best decision. We had a lot of moving pieces with our trip and Russ ensured the payment piece was correct and we didn’t have any issues. He also provided us a pre trip summary that was extremely handy that included all of our flight information and a resort checklist for tips and tricks to use once at Sandals. We found everything Russ told us to expect and do was the best practice and found ourselves saying multiple times “Russ was right”.We had originally booked our trip in late 2019 for our upcoming wedding in April 2020. Due to Covid we had to rebook our honeymoon three times before we finally went in April 2021. We couldn’t have asked for a better agent to oversee the constant resort closures, airline changes, and Covid restrictions. Russ stayed on top of the airlines and Sandals and made sure we were getting the best deals. If we weren’t working with Russ we probably would have canceled all together because the restrictions and changes were so overwhelming. Russ made sure we were prepared with all the Covid guidelines and worked with the airlines to make the numerous reservation changes.We highly recommend working with Russ as his thoroughness and customer service are unmatched. We can’t wait to work with him on our next trip, hopefully to Sandals!

Gary did a wonderful job imparting the history of the area, making it doable for all fitness levels and welcoming all questions and comments. This past Saturday I rode the Lewis and Clark bike ride with Christy. She was also a wonderful guide. She knew the history well and had a lot of fascinating stories. She also focused on safety while riding in the city and catered to all comfort and ability levels. I will definitely be signing up for another adventure soon.
