Centriq Training: what do users think?
Via Gedern: Centriq is a great facility and Tim is extremely professional and helpful.
G Jay: I have high praise for the staff at the KC campus. I am a former student who needed some paperwork from my time there, and while this was a pretty routine request, I was still really impressed with the quickness and courtesy of reception and accounting.I am very glad I went to Centriq. I am definitely not the smartest person and had to work harder than most others, but having this training on my resume has helped me get a job for 30k a year more than I was making at the job I left to go to Centriq. And even though I don't technically have an IT job, I still find that I use what I learned quite a bit at work.If I can make it, anyone can. If you're needing an income boost and some new skills you should get in touch with this school.
alex staufenbiel: Nice campus I look forward to going to class there
Stephen Wakefield: Curriculum: 4/5Teachers: 5/5Price: 2/5Resume/Interview assistance: 5/5Job Success Rate: 3/5I went through the full stack development program in Oct 2017. C# is Centriq's language of choice and there is a reason for that. It is an extremely popular coding language in the midwest. The instructors are all fantastic and the curriculum is extensive for a 4 month program: c#, sql, javascript, etc... Take advantage of their HR depts resume building and mock interviews. It is fair to say it is overpriced, but for me it was worth it. For my class the success rate of getting a job right away (after 2 months) was about 60 percent. I was fortunate to get a job before I graduated but I had self studied in Javascript and PHP for three years (highly recommend Lynda.com essential training courses to see if you like programming first before paying a lot of money for training you don't want). You get what you put into this program in my case. I am giving this review because I want to not because I was asked to do this. Sadly you DO need some kind of credible education to land that first programming job unless you are extremely fortunate or network well.
Kyle Ronen: The building was extremely well kept and welcoming inside. The outside was fine but it made no lasting impression on me. There was a new Jaguar I-Pace in the parking lot so that was really cool to see. Tim was the staff member who checked me in and was extremely kind and even indulged in some casual conversation that made me feel welcomed. The entire process was handled effectively and professionally. I had issues with the tests wording, spelling (very few instances), and sentence structure causing me to be unsure of what the full and accurate question was. But I passed my test and had an overall great experience locating and using this facility!
Alex Caskey: I took a certification test there. They were very courteous and professional.
Marnie Boyd: Critical:Communication,Quality,Value
Ryan: Nice building and staff but the screens in the testing room are old and hard to read from. As I continue testing for certifications, I'll have to look for another venue.
Lulu's Big Adventure: Polite staff. Accommodated an early arrival. Good Covid practices. And woohoo, I passed.
Troy: I took a test here and not training. The testing administration was quick, professional, and C19 level clean.
Daniel Boyd: Let me start by saying that I'm a senior software engineer with over a decade in the industry. I work largely on enterprise cloud applications as a full stack engineer and architect.Having witness and assisted an individual going through their curriculum I strongly advise against attending Centriq. It's a horrific waste of time and money and I actively advise against hiring Centriq grads at my current employer due to what I experienced. What little they actually "teach" you is either incorrect, immensely dated, or bad practice. Most, if not all, of their instructors seem to be failed software engineers that graduated from Centriq, got 1-2 years of experience (at most as some had none) and came back to teach as they couldn't actually do their jobs. You'll end up having to relearn almost everything they cover. As such you are better off pursuing self paced learning from online courses. You'll learn more relevant and up-to-date coding practices and topics without being mislead. You'll save yourself a lot of money as well. They have little concern if you actually understand what they teach you. They don't care if you are struggling. They don't care if you find a job. They just want your money. Their main concern is to convince you to stay in the program long enough to get your money. I can only assume they are lying about how many graduates find jobs. Last my acquaintance checked, no one from her class had managed to find a job. Most had given up and returned to previous work.Take it from an experienced professional in the field. Don't go to Centriq. If I see a resume from a Centriq grad, I'm tossing it. Save your money and don't reward these con artist.
Kathy Owens-Walker: I have to select at least one star to post a review, otherwise I would have given them zero stars. This place is definitely not the place to go for people without any prior IT experience. My son was 19 years old when he went through their program Fall/Winter 2018/2019...6 students in his group and only one person found a job...which he had years if prior experience, but needed up to date knowedglede. His job didn't even work out though. I wish I would have given this review a long time ago. My son wishes he'd never had went there...because he's $24,000 in debt now & is going to JCCC to get more in-depth training on the things Centriq touced on for a week then moved onto the next subject. I like to know the REAL number for more people without any prior IT experience job placement. I'm reporting them to the BBB.
Dustin Allen: Nice new facility, friendly staff, will wait to 5 star until I pass the test :)
Christopher Christensen: Came for PMP prep training. Bill Lewis has a wealth of experience and does a great job with what is needed to prepare for the exam.
cam metcalf: I was trained here, there is some very valuable information to be had... And some very wonderful people to meet.
Douglas Hoff: As an instructor at Centriq, I can't be completely objective. But after teaching in a large junior college in California, a local college here, Oracle University locations, and many small classrooms, I can honestly say Centriq has the best administration and staff that I've ever seen.Centriq grew from a small operation 25 years ago to where we've had the need to take over an entire building to house its career training program and corporate classes. I've taught both types and respect how they've put the student's desire to be trained for an IT job first and not just to acquire certificates. There's a reason why they've lasted when their competitors have not.Instructors will go where they feel like they are both learning and making a difference in students' lives. Sometimes that means they have to leave teaching to learn from the real world. More teachers have stayed at Centriq than I've ever seen except in an academic tenure situation. We teach classes of one or two when useful but always love a large class like those of the 16 week Microsoft web developer or network admin tracks. I can see those students making a difference in Kansas City, and now St. Louis, regions. One of my favorite students was making six figures in four years after his graduation.I regularly speak with the account representatives and find that they encourage a relationship with their clients and not just try to sell my classes. I love getting on the phone with them so people understand what's in my classes. They don't really have to do much to gain clients' trust since we have a good reputation in KC.So, I would be a student without hesitation if I wasn't teaching all the time. My time away from the classroom is spent studying and developing new classes. I really can't think how we could do much better and if you have any feedback, I'm sure you can find me online or just come visit us.
Quintin Dublin: Great IT classes
Jason Allee: First off, the first person you meet at Centriq (Russ) is a manipulative liar. I went there to learn coding, all my placement tests confirmed that I'd be perfect for coding, since my brain seems to be able to easily find mistakes and inconsistencies in patterns. For whatever reason Russ went out of his way to talk me out of coding and into the IT Admin side of things. Sure, my fault for going along with it.Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Centriq, and made some friends along the way. The problem didn't become apparent until I graduated and began to look for a job. I slowly started to realize that all the advertising of "you will be paid more" was aimed at high school kids and factory workers who would be thrilled to get a $35k a year job. I set my sights on $45k (a $10k pay drop for me) and was laughed at by the career services person. Still I applied and applied for hundreds of jobs. After 8 months of being turned down over and over again I gave up. So thanks Centriq for making me waste $22,000 and 4 month of my life to be turned down from lower paying jobs.IT Admin jobs will not hire you if you have visible tattoos and piercings, no matter how well you learn and understand the material. Should've just stuck with coding. Now I have to teach myself since I used the last of my GI Bill to learn skills that people with tattoos can't do apparently.
Christian Goben: I don't know what to say other than that centriq changed my life. I went from being a data entry clerk to an employed full-stack developer in less than 4 months. If you're dedicated and love to learn this place can do wonders for you.
Bud Oyler: People really care about your education!
Matt Lang: Great learning environment

Harry Lim: Great place for construction training.
Gale Graham: I got and continue to get training for my career
Josep Baxter: Nice
Jodi Howell: Great fieldtrip for scouts
Ezriyah SCOTT: This place will change your life from a job to a Career it’s worth all your time.
Shane Poston: Good place for training
shawn vance: Great school because Ironworkers are the Best thats why!!! We work in extremely dangerous situations where anything at any given moment could go wrong especially without proper training COVID or NO COVID we have to constantly stay educated through refreshers by our great instructors who do truly care about our safety. Knowing what I know we always have a choice wether we do or not wanna do anything we think might be unsafe. So considering what we do and risks we take daily in our trade our training and schooling is always first and will never be allowed to be put on a back burner even over a cold pandemic, the risks that are at stake if we were to stop our ongoing educational training and safety training is way higher than anything else, so before you judge throw a harness and some bolt bags on and come stand on the iron with us for a day and you'll understand why we would choose to continue classes and training.
liv r.: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThey stayed open with a positive covid case, nor do they require masks in large settings. They did not cancel school on the worst day of the year even when NKC School District has closed. They truly do not care about the safety of their own students. Terrible facility.
Mike Cherry: Great teachers
Tron Turner: Good Place!
M. Eric Hovey: A well and needed establishment that helps to train apprentices with instruction for their particular UNION trade. Also, gives the opportunity for journeymen to enhance their abilities and keep current with ever changing aspects of building. A much needed service is provided which certainly helps in the fact that some of the BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP IS RIGHT HERE IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA. CRAFTSMEN FROM THIS AREA ARE LOOKED UP TO BECAUSE OF THESE ABILITIES WHICH ARE DERIVED THROUGH PROPER TRAINING!IT IS A GREAT THING

MTTI Student Clinic: what do users think?
Paige Plemons: If you're an adult who is nervous about going back to school and you're interested in becoming a Medical Assistant, go to Wellspring and take Ms. Marias class. She is one of the most understanding and knowledgeable teachers I have ever had. Day one I was so nervous, but within minutes in class I felt at home and comfortable because of the environment she has created for her students.
brianna smith: Teachers had great information but I never felt safe at this school. After our first test massaging and grading each other a student, unhappy with their grade, was yelling curse words and threats on their way out of the building. They said they were going to wait in the parking lot for the student who graded them. Other students warned the grader not to come out and a handful of us waited with the grader for about 20-30 minutes until someone from administration walked out with us and the student was gone. Since “nothing really happened” nothing really seemed to come out of it. Administration called those of us who witnessed the interactions to get info on what happened. After it all, administration simply offered the grader to switch to another class on another day so their choice was to completely rearrange their schedule or stay in a class with someone who threatened them. After that the class was divided and there was a social push to just give each other high grades even when standards were not met to avoid retaliation.Students were also consistently pushed to cross their own boundaries. A student with a broken bone was asked to take their boot off to practice proper body mechanics. A student in a car accident and injured shoulder was told to power through. We were pushed to partner with different classmates even if we were uncomfortable with them for the purpose of getting our hands on a range of bodies.Teachers and administration would go back and forth with the blame game on who should be doing better. Teachers outwardly disrespected each others ideologies, telling us to disregard things we were taught before. The massage program had a lot of great information, but if I could go back in time I would never apply due to all the interpersonal conflict and how it was handled. I still have panic attacks half a year after graduating and cannot bring myself to do the work I am licensed to do on anyone I do not fully know and trust.
Raquel Farrington: Amazing school! I will continue to recommend their massage therapy program! So proud to say that I graduated from Wellspring! ❤️
Evin Pearsall: Unethical administration violates student privacy laws and civil rights. Office is behind bullet resistant glass and locked doors like a pawn broker. They treat you like long lost family while waiting for student aid money then turn into creeps once you are invested. They try to make students like me sit through classes they have transfer credit for and also passed Wellsprings one try only proficiency tests. If you stand up for yourself and what is fair, they hound you til you can't eat or sleep. There is no academic support for struggling students. Teachers tell them to get help from classmates. I know students that failed a class and were pushed into the next class without passing the prerequisite. First fail is probation, 2nd fail means you are out of the program and on the hook for big money.Quit LMT program before finishing 50 %? You owe $1575.70 fee that your student aid doesn't cover on top of tuition for classes. Quit after 50%? You owe $15,757.00 full tuition fee that your student aid also doesn't cover. They harassed me to the point of sickness and they know they did me wrong. Robin O'Connell offered to cancel my financial contract and return ALL of my tuition if I would just keep my mouth shut.
TD Master: Great place to get a reasonable massage.
Susie Hubbell: I love this place. You can get a student or professional massage. Student massages are inexpensive and they can not take tips. I just had a professional massage. She is amazing. I really don't have to tell her where it hurts she can tell.
Angela Sinclair: Positive:Value
Rising Sun 13 Kansas City MO: Great lodge with friendly brothers
Dayna McDaniel: I have come weekly since Mar this year. What a great place, excellent value, better health through massage. Thanks WellSpring Student Massage Clinic!
Mary Stucker: I attended MTTI in 2009-2010. As an older student I was concerned I would be out of place. Nothing could be further from the truth. I enjoyed the classes offered, the instructors were for the most part friendly and knowledgeable. Like any secondary schooling, you are going to get out of it what you put into it. When I graduated they helped me find a place to work by supplying me with people who were looking for graduates. I passed my licensing exam on the first try and have been working in the field for over 4 years and have just recently opened my own shop in Blue Springs. I don't feel I would be where I am today if I had gone anywhere but MTTI.

Kansas City Academy: what do users think?
Sydney Bernstein: I attended Kansas City academy from 2012-2014 and was a staff member during the 2021-2022 school year. My time as a student at KCA was transformative. After a tragic death of my parent in 2010 I was struggling academically and socially in public school. I would frequently skip school due to anxiety and depression. As a sophmore I knew I would not be able to graduate at the current high school I was attending and began to look for alternative options. A family friend who was a staff member at KCA recommended I come visit the school. From the moment I stepped foot in the door I knew I wanted to join KCA’s community. As a student I was given the opportunity and freedom to explore myself in a safe space where it was okay to be yourself and make mistakes. I was offered a lot of leadership opportunities. I wanted to come to school everyday. The faculty and staff were so welcoming and encouraging. For the first time in my life I felt seen, heard, and accepted by KCA’s community. I was so sad to graduate in 2014 but I have remained a part of the community one way or another 9 years later. I recommend this school for any student or parent looking for a academic environment that is creative and accommodating.
Sage WolfeZogg: I graduated from KCA in 2015. They teach kids to be involved in their education, to explore their own interests, to endlessly ask why. We learned to think of people besides ourselves, to break problems down into manageable amounts. I was one of the students (selected by the students) who decided on community services requirements. There were students, facility, and community members involved. Even as a 15 year old I felt heard, supported, and respected.
Lauren D: Great school. Small classes. Teachers were involved with students. Had their own garden and cooking classes. Lot of fun engaging projects especially art.
mike cowger: Kansas City Academy, and the staff that makes it what it is, has been a tremendous source of support, kindness, and growth for our son, who has just completed his first school year there. In what could very well have been an incredibly difficult time the staff at KC Academy has created a wonderfully welcoming and inclusive environment where our son has (and is still!) learning how to thrive and take his own narrative with both hands and make it his own. I absolutely recommend KCA for any kiddo and family who are looking for a place to really belong.
Margaret Chaffee: Ay KCA my child feels valued and seen for all her gifts and talents. So thankful for the compassion and creativity of the staff and students.
Suzanne Raney: We love this school and its creative, kind and compassionate teachers and staff.
Amy Parker: This has been a life-altering, amazing school for my daughter. For a kid who didn't fit in with the more traditional public school setting, KCA was just the place where she could be herself. The teachers and staff are informal, approachable, VERY supportive, and maintain a quality, meaningful education. I would never have thought a school like this existed and will be forever grateful that it does. This school goes above and beyond to not only support each unique kid but help them become the best versions of themselves they can be. I truly hope KCA will always be there for students like my daughter. I am so, so glad we took a chance on KCA.-The parent of a 2022 grad
DeAnna Skedel: If there ever was a community that puts the social and emotional development of their students first, this is it.
sloane swift: This school is bad, the kids here are bad. The teachers teach horribly i didn't learn anything. The students pushed me to attempting suicide, several times. The teachers did not investigate and it was horrible.
Samsung Chromebook #17: Worst school i've ever gone too, the staff allowed other students to bully me due to my family not being able to afford the tuition. They refused us for financial aid, and allowed rumors and lies about me spread throughout the school. I got sent death threats, and became very depressed during this time. It was horrid. Please don't send your child to this school.
Avont'e foster: The Best Experience!!
Cathy Metcalf: KCA has been extremely proactive in providing our children with a top-notch experience under the current COVID-19 conditions. The teachers spent the summer learning new digital platforms to assist with their online lessons. The school created a balanced schedule for the students to be digitally engaged with their classmates and teachers daily. KCA is consistently evaluating conditions to determine when students can return to in-person classes. The online schedule was designed to seamlessly flow with the in-person schedule once students can return to campus. We have the utmost confidence in the leadership and faculty at KCA and we know that our children are receiving the best education possible to prepare them for their futures!
Annette Wallace: Love this school! My child struggled last year as a Freshman. This year they transferred to KCA! So far the improvement has been phenomenal! So grateful for the wonderful, involved staff!
Amber DeAngelo: The best, creative, accepting, supportive school in town!
AUTO MART USA: GOOD ACADMY
Cooper Enochs: Gotta say gotta say it is relatively EPIC???? YES EPIC!!!!! Ooguns boogus
Kristine Ennis: KCA is such a Fabulous learning environment . Their curriculum and staff engage the students and the safe and welcoming environment allows for a superior education to develop. I highly recommend this wonderful, community based, small school. We had multiple years at Catholic schools and by far KCA is the best!!! We only wish we had discovered it sooner.
Aisling Crowe: KC Academy has helped my daughter be more confident. She is encouraged to think for herself here. The teachers at KC Academy are supportive and inspiring. So happy we found this unique school.
Jeff Weis: KCA has been a wonderful fit for my son since sixth grade.
Brennan G: I am a KCA graduate of 2001. This school was a great influence on how to manage my life responsibly. The teachers were the best. I loved my experience here. After graduating I moved to Los Angeles, finished college and I'm now an television editor for NBC Universal. Thanks KCA.
