Tyler Jones: Beyond just good food for a rooftop. One of the best places to eat in town, period; with the best view of the skyline. Great place to grab a drink and enjoy the fresh air at the same time.
Lauri Edwards: Read positive reviews of service, atmosphere, etc before going. The walk up bartender was amazing as well as the view. When ordering drinks was told you have to order food from table service, waited and waited for a server to stop by or simply notice us. Finally, we flagged her down and asked if table service was offered. Her response "Well, I mean, I guess we can if you need it." I asked her "What does that even mean? Are you waiting tables, can you take our order? The bartender told us only table service can take our food order." She then smiled and said 'Oh, okay, yeah, well, sure, I guess I can.' We ordered 2 drinks and an appetizer....the food came and went. NO drinks. I went to the bartender that was prepping for staff only. Saw our drinks sitting there. Offered to take them. Was responded to rudely. Sat back down, waited another 10 minutes, no drinks. Went to the other amazing bartender. Ordered our drinks. 5 minutes later, our drinks were brought by a different server, which I refused at that point. The 2 beers had been sitting for 45 minutes in the heat AND I had gotten our drinks in the meantime. Our server then came to ask why we refused drinks we had ordered. She did apologize for the wait, saying she would take the drinks off our tab, but never did.
Christine Muehe: So after all of the negative reviews I’m so glad I went out and tried this amazing little niche. Our server, Hannah, was really good. She was busy but very attentive and said upfront we might have to let her know what we had to break our bill up. There were 12 in our party, so I understand needing some help! The food was really good. I’mNot a huge fan of chicharrones, but the spices and sauce for dipping were spot on. The hummus was really creamy and pita was soft and chewy. Drinks were excellent. I had an Old Fashioned and a Paloma. We had a reservation on a weeknight and they seated us right away. Parking is tough, but you have to look around and you’ll find a spot. I highly recommend this place. It won’t disappoint.
Jillian O'Connell: Each time I visit Percheron, I have a different experience, and they're all great. Being an outdoor venue with a beautiful view of Kansas City, lends itself to an enjoyable time. Most weekdays, tables are readily available for a cocktail after work. The after sunset vibe is wonderful with the city lights and hung string lights.The food, cocktails, and waiters have also been great. Their Za'atar Paloma is one of my favorites, even though all the cocktails I've had are delicious. The food is wonderful, as well. Most recently, I tried the Papas Bravas, which were quite different from traditional Papas Bravas but equally as good!Note: Percheron is completely outdoors. Keep this in mind as it relates to your weather preferences!
Corinne Roman-white: I was handed this drink for 13 dollars. Was told “it’s not in the correct cup” I saw the other cups. This was not filled up enough. This is exactly as I received the drink, no sips have been taken.

Lynelle NH: Came here in August 2022. We were visiting from out of town (DC and SD) and were looking for a rooftop to relax in. We found this gem with the most perfect view of the city. Cannot wait for this place to open up again.

Creative drinks, lots of energy here. 4 stars instead of 5 because we didn’t have a single warm interaction with bartenders or servers. Everyone was very busy and didn’t take time to make a connection. Go there, get a drink, talk to your friends, enjoy the view.
Danielle Davis: If i could give 0 stars I would. First time visit to this establishment. The location is hard to find. I tried to call multiple times but the restaurant itself does not have a phone number you have to contact the hotel. Once we arrived we were directed upstairs to the roof. The hotel guest were friendly. Once we were sat at the rooftop bar that’s when everything went downhill. Our server was very RUDE and his energy was as if we were bothering him by asking questions. We let him know we have never been at the establishment before. The drinks we ordered were not that great and pricey. Someone in our party asked where the restroom was and the server response was “it’s one on each floor.” We asked again and got the same answer. We again reminded him we have not been here before. He asked for our debit/credit cards to hold for our tab. We informed him we were paying cash. He insisted he needed everyone’s card to hold. Our cards were held but nothing was charged or preauthorized like a typical hold. After we paid he sat everyone’s change down on the table and walked off. We had to sort through them ourselves and figure out who had what. His presence, energy and demeanor was not what we expected, especially for such a pricey place like that. Will not be back or recommend.

Kayla Jones-White: There was a black male bartender with pink hair who falsely accused my family and I of attempting not to pay our tab. I spoke to the Manager and he ultimately allowed us to stay in the establishment but the ordeal was humiliating. Especially considering we were coherent, and tipped will the entire night and paid our bills promptly. This is a night club that I frequent, but the manner in which I was treated by the black male bartender with pink hair was completely unacceptable and unwarranted.
Laneé Stro: I went to Ale House for Memorial Day weekend with my family to commemorate my late grandmother and a Black male bartender with pink hair accused my family and I of not paying for a tab. We eagerly tried to show him the invoice via bank statements on a phone, but he refused to service us and ordered security to remove us from the establishment. I have never been treated so poorly for something I didn’t do - and when we attempted to calmly explain ourselves we were accused of arguing. My cousin did talk to the manager who ultimately did say we could stay in the bar, but we were so humiliated that we just left.

My issue is: A Sports bar should mean no Justin Bieber, sad songs, etc etc etc. If I could find the DJ or whoever that thinks it’s appropriate to blare cheesy music during football Sunday I’d slap them on the hand and say cut it out. Haha. Set the mood for sports REGARDLESS the team. Save your money on the DJ; it isn’t needed for football. Just my priceless two cents. Haha.

Shiona Deliozar: We had our company Christmas party here with a large group of 15 and the setting was perfect for Christmas. The cabins and igloos outside were decorated so festively and the service was great throughout. I really enjoyed their chips and meatballs and their holiday cocktails with all the fun names. The views were really pretty at night with the fire on the deck. Felt cozy and was. The service was great throughout.
Luke Payne: This place used to be great but as of a few moments ago it is one of only two restaurants I've walked out of. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on appetizers and the only time anyone came to check up was when he thought he was at a different table. We couldn't get a second round of drinks and had to chase him down for the original order. Slwe we're also one of only 3 tables seated in the dining room. So sad to see a place fall apart like this....... Original Review........Really enjoyed this place. Great service. Great food. Fun cocktails. Good view.

My husband's dirty martini was served in a PLASTIC rocks glass... even though I saw they had martini glasses....and no we weren't out by the pool.. we were in the upper level on a couch. Also, do not order a spicy margarita. Thank goodness I asked how they are prepared...I guess they ran out of jalapeños so they are using tobacco sauce 🤮... if you don't have the ingredients.... just don't offer it. For an up scale bar you would think they would serve their drinks in actual glasses and not plastic.. even the beer was served in a disposable solo cup.

She was very thoughtful making sure we enjoyed our visit.The Chef brought the food to our table and explained what each dish was that he prepared. The Manager brought the dessert to our table. Manager was distant and somewhat non-communitive compared to most managers we come in contact with. When I asked a question concerning the dessert he wasn't very pleasant as if he was too busy and didn't want to talk at all. There were no other quest. Poor customer service and example for his employees. I will go back due to the waitress great service.
Jennifer Johnson: My boyfriend and I visited this bar on a Saturday night. The whole place was packed and they only had one waitress working. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and ended up getting frustrated so we’d go get our own drinks from the bar. The service was absolutely unacceptable. Considering how classy this hotel is, I expected a better bar experience. I am very disappointed.

Tye B: What a beautifully designed place to visit for a nightcap love the ambience and the overall vibe. Upon my visit I noticed the beautifully hanging butterflies drinks are amazing as always I went for a traditional old fashioned it was a solid contender to others iv tried. Prices are to be expected for a nice experience, and reservations are Preffered but not required if there is open space. It's one of those places you just have to go and visit on your own. Outside seating is nice, but inside is where you get the whole experience. I will be back as they seemed to have notable wine list.

ShaNyia Roberts: Always a good time going here! They have a seasonal menu and this one probably is my favorite so far, the Bone Marrow Tartine is sooo good and so fresh, the fresh herbs combined with the crispy crust and lemon is just too good! Their ribeye bolognese is also so amazing, great flavor throughout, the ONLY complaint I have is the food is never hot. I enjoy hot food and sometimes I have to send it back to get it to the right temp, my other friends have complained about this too. However that doesn’t negate the fact that the food AND drinks are always great. High quality lounge and the staff are pretty great too!

Armita: Amazing contemporary bar. Absolutely love the butterfly references in decorations, menu and outside of the bar. There many amazing craft cocktails and small plates. The menu is very creative. There is a unique name for the drinks. They also have great selections of beers and wines. They are open until midnight weekdays. So, it’s a great spot to hangout during the week as well.
SA Berry: This place is so freaking beautiful! I felt like I was in a hotel bar, but it's a stand-alone cocktail lounge that feels incredibly intimate. The drinks were delicious (I ordered the margarita) and the server was kind! If you're in the mood for a great date night, go here!

Nimrat Johal: Booked a private event for my 30th. I’ve attended as a guest many times but hosting an event here is a 10/10 experience. The bartenders are exceptional, food is great and the servers… they make sure you and all your guests are taken care of. Stephen is great to work with and the hospitality manager Sarah was so professional. Would definitely recommend for all your event/party needs!

S L: I love this place. The price of cocktails here, especially for happy hour, isn't any higher than many restaurants, but the quality is out of this world. If you like whiskey cocktails, try the Louisiana Purchase.

Service was actually decent and our waitress was nice. But the music, and consequently the voices, were too loud for us to hear each other at our table. Also, not many draft beer choices. She helped tremendously with setup, and correspondence leading up to the wedding. She always had a smile on her face, and seemed happy to respond to all my questions. Brenda Geiger: The Creamery is a creamy, dreamy, meme-y venue for your wedding or reception. You won’t find anything like it for the skyline view, accommodating service, flexibility and great price — I guarantee you. I tirelessly checked out three dozen wedding venues before choosing the Creamery. Most were overpriced, pretentious, too restrictive, or lacking in one thing or another. Not the Creamery. The venue and its super sweet staff fulfilled my entire checklist of needs — beautiful venue with a stunning view, super price, bring your own caterer and alcohol policy, surround sound system for your iPhone music, great parking (thrown in), no need to decorate, and they even provided a backup alternative if it rained (which it did).I can’t say enough good things about Kyra West and the team at C3 Development for making our big day over the top and out of this world in every way. I know lots of my guests were astonished with the venue and will be booking it for their meetings and events. Check it out and grab it while it’s still a secret.

Dennis Irisarri-Gatewood: I attended an engagement party here in one of the rooms you can rent out. It's a fantastic place for any kind of get together. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there is a small kitchen area. Outside there is a grill and a fire pit. Fantastic for entertaining.

LaToya Garcia: Terrible experience at this hotel and pool! My daughters were assaulted by a group including a male physically pushing my daughter. The management DID NOT handle it properly! They did NOT call the police on the aggressors AND they put my girls in a back room as the aggressors continued to yell racial slurs at my kids. They told the aggressors to leave but before they left the management allowed them to VIDEO my girls while they laid out by the pool. Our girls called the police NOT the hotel management or staff! When I arrived the male manager had a smirk on his face the whole time and wouldn’t give me his card or name/info instead he told another employee to get her card, he was completely useless. Jimmy Shelton: Overall, it was a great experience, rooms are clean beds comfortable. The only thing that was disappointing was the restaurant. the wait staff at the bar were not very attentive. We had to go out of our way to get their attention, overall not great at the bar and restaurant, lobby staff while checking in were great. The coffee bar in the morning is cool but not complementar, we ate breakfast elsewhere.
Rachel Jackson: Pros:- nice lobby area and outdoor seating area- very polite and friendly staff who were attentive to our needs- location is convenient if you plan to go the country club plazaCons:- the lampshade on the main lamp in our room was obviously broken and kept falling off the stand- the entire place feels dirty; the hallway and room carpets were visibly dirty and stained- the fitness center has very limited equipment and was missing many of the items featured in the photos- there were no USB ports for charging items; the iHome provided was very outdated and broken- some of the outlets in our room would not hold the electric plug and were not functional- the rainfall shower was barely dripping and had horrible water pressure- we tried to use the rooftop pool but it was very crowded; the pool area is very small and they allow non-hotel guests to use it so there is limited room for hotel guests- I was supposed to receive my receipt via email but it never arrivedThe entire place needs to be updated to current technology and functioning. It feels like a hotel with amenities from 2010. The staff were the only saving grace.

Our reservation had been made one month prior for 7:30 pm on 4/21/23 and we were seated immediately at a four top in the middle of a row of similar tables near the front windows. We asked a few questions about the wine list and the server seemed irritated. My husband ordered a Jameson on the rocks and the pour was minuscule. The appetizer we ordered was FANTASTIC …. Goat cheese tart … and was the best part of the meal. We all ordered the trout and the double smash burger for our entrees. The trout was good and the burgers were adequate…my bottom bun was cold (as though it had recently come from the refrigerator or freezer. ) The service was not good and the gentleman that was taking care of our table seemed irritated the entire evening and rarely stopped by. The strangest part of the evening occurred when the hostess came to our table before our entrees were served and said that we needed to finish up as people with reservations would be arriving ! We told her we also had a reservation and had only been there 45 minutes and she realized her mistake and left. She never returned to apologize for the misunderstanding which should have occurred. All in all it was a disappointing experience. As I stated … perhaps it was an off night for everyone we encountered there….but it was unfortunate. I think I would possibly return for a glass of wine and the goat cheese tart in the bar area but not for another meal.

Brandon Dockins: I was very disappointed at the time I was refused service due to my lack of being vaccinated even though I had natural immunity ( which real science shows is ALWAYS better than a vaccine).There was “no science at least not peer reviewed with controls)rather fear driving the hysteria. All world renowned scientist who dared to question were silenced or call quacks. We now know getting and transmitting the virus is not only possible but probable in the vaccinated, as well as mask do little if anything to reduce spread (Minimal research will locate Dr. Fauci’s own study on mask and 1918 Spanish Influenza, as well as his press conferences at beginning of Covid. It is unfortunate that fear gripped (was fanned) and not many questioned (as science does) anything. Wearing a mask until you sit down? The virus doesn’t spread if your sitting? This further separated us all and drove a wedge in an already fractured society. I believe their intentions of denying me entry were good, however misguided. My hope is that in hind sight that lessons were learned so as to not repeat if and when another emergency comes our way. I wish the establishment, the owners, and employees nothing but good , truly.
Gabriel Olsen: My wife and I went for dinner last night and loved it. I hadn't been since pre-covid, so it was great to finally be back. Decor, dishes, glasses, all are interesting and unique, nothing run-of-the-mill or corporate. Service was perfect - attentive and knowledgeable, but not pushy. Gave a GREAT recommendation on one of their negronis, which was delicious. Apps, meal, and dessert were all also delicious. Menu isn't expansive, but I'll take a smaller menu w/ lots of deliciousness over a bunch of so-so options. We will make a point to go back in another few weeks to enjoy the patio once it warms up! Highly recommend.

Also a bit dark of a restaurant in my opinion. I get the moody speakeasy ambience but this restaurant/bar seems confused at what it is trying to be. I hope they continue to improve, the new chef and focused menu, with the drinks could make this place a real powerhouse in KC.
Ms. Lisa: The ambiance was really good. I appreciated that they snuck us in between reservations and was really clear about time, so they people who actually made a reservation wouldn’t have to wait. I was drinking the house gimlet, which was interesting. Didn’t expect it to be Amber in color.Service was good and prompt, everything flowed well.I only gave 3 stars because their plates are tapas, not entrees. Very tiny portions on the trout, lamb, and duck breast… however they were very flavorful. We were looking around and noticed we were the only ones who didn’t order the burger, so maybe that’s all you should get there if you are hungry.I got the Carmel carmelized apple dessert as well, which had feta in it and it was very delicious. I’d go back for just cocktails and/or burger.

We were sold right away on the rooftop, location, and service after initially meeting with Heather to tour the venue. The rest of the staff and service continued to be excellent throughout the whole process. The venue itself was incredible. Amazing rooftop, and very cool ballroom reception area downstairs. We had some unique ideas we wanted to try how we set up and planned our reception, and they worked with us to make every idea happen just as we had pictured it. It could not have run more smoothly the day-of, and we didn't need to worry about a thing. We had some unexpected hitches pop up at the start of the reception, and they handled that beautifully keeping everything moving like pros. They worked with all of our vendors to make everything run smooth the day-of, and didn't bat an eye at any request or idea we threw out.

Chris Stone: Awesome venue for events with a beautiful rooftop overlooking the cityscape of Kansas city. From a rooftop space to a beautiful event space on the third floor. They also have another floor for the hosting party to use for changing and private purposes. Elevator for use to each floor and friendly staff catering to all your needs. I enjoyed the wedding I attended here and loved the decor. The rooftop space isn't incredibly large but hosts quite a bit of people. The event space on the 3rd floor is larger and has clean bathrooms. Worth taking a look of you are wanting to have a wedding or event.
