SW19 Tennis Academy: what do users think?
Mary Martin: Love this place and the ladies I play with.Pickelball, tennis, or ping-pong you can have all three here
M: Great little sports complex. Friendly workers and clean facility.
Max & Melodi Bona: Fun place to play pickleball!
Michael Young: Great place to play Pickleball…!
E Neubauer: Great club, always clean w/ friendly coaches, welcoming owner. Have enjoyed & gained many new skills from Jacob’s pickleball clinics. Reasonable prices. Thank you for this great indoor facility!
Jennifer House: We've been playing in a pickleball league here, it's been a lot of fun!
Jared Wood: Parking here is a tragedy. Seating and accessibility for any fans is absent.Whoever felt like this facility is an appropriate venue for a multi- team club volleyball tournament is mistaken.Stick to pickleball and future tennis pros.
LaWanda Lamar: Great new indoor courts for tennis and pickle ball close to home!
Sarah Mackay: Started my teen daughter at here after doing a trial lesson. The Coach is amazing! He is from South America, with limited English, but is one of the most effective, expert, and somehow well communicative teachers I have seen for any of my kids activities. 10Minutes into the trial- I was impressed enough to sign up for 3 months of lessons. The Academy is new and working out its class times and communication still. The benefits of this is that we signed up for a class and pay a class lower rate (I think it is about $30/hr? If I remember right) than I would for private lessons (lowest I had seen in a local KC program was $55/hr) and at SW19 have gotten very small class sizes or one on one lessons each week. Again- this is with the amazing coach with decades of experience. Amazing value. They did ask us to make a few month commitment when we signed up. After the trial lesson- I felt very confident signing up. We are on lesson number 4 and I am thrilled with what she has learned and how consistent her stroke is. Highly recommend.
Quinn Daley-Sheldon: Very professional facility with an excellent staff!

Northland Raquet Club: what do users think?
Loren Dunham Greathouse: We aren't members but we go here to play pickleball, it's a large venue. Decent restroom/locker room. Courts 1-3 are very warm on a hot day (maybe it's just the AC hadn't been running).
Angeles Fernandez Muciño: Needs some improvements....I'll start formal training this year!!
Luis Zelaya: Great place to play tennis!!
Raven Peer: Go here at least every week for practice. The hours are great and there's always people to play or learn from. The leagues are fun as well.
Max Chadliev: great courts, and best price in the city
C Jones: Clean facility. My granddaughter went there to play tennis. She plays in some type of on going tournament and they play at different courts every week. Thus was the third time we went there but the first time they played there. Little muggy inside. Their air was not working....
William Cottrill: Pickleball night Friday night. It was an incredibly fun night with some really nice people.
Kevin Smith: The classes have clealry grown. This is awsome...love watching the kids have so muxh fun under a great staff
kelly ayars: Coach Ian is amazing!
Yvonne Smith: Great program for my 10 and 13 year old kids with some knowledge of tennis. We found tus place to five the kids to do during COVID and have improved their game considerably. My 13 year old will be ready to try out for her this team in the fall.
Rick with Soil Samurai Gardens: Watch out Serena. I'm coming for you. Well maybe not but it's a great spot
Eshan Bhatt: Really delightful local club with good club management
Joe Christie: it's been completely updated and the staff is really nice!!
Garrett Gates: Tim Webber the owner is a great guy. The club is very tennis focused and a very laid back nice environment!
April Reed: Outstanding improvements and the lighting is great. Nice and clean facility.
roland blanco: Excelente lugar para practicar tenis.. 🎾
KM Holum: Need to wear masks when sitting in the open area at all times places clean courts were open
Tom Shino: Recently resurfaced, new lights with white reflective ceiling, this place is a pleasure to get a lot of good hitting in. Highly recommend it.
Jeffrey Parrish: Nothland is a good racquet club, with six courts and a gathering place in the middle. All courts are indoors and have very recently been redone. New ceilings. New lighting. New surfaces. All dramatically improving the playing experience. I understand that they will also renovate the staging/waiting/watching area, which would be nice to complete the renovation, making it all very nice.
Ken Denning: Good place for indoor tennis, needs better lighting. Friendly people. Good place for racquet service.
Christina Cox: Great facility. Nice people, and now they have pickleball!!

Loose Park Tennis Courts: what do users think?
Antwan Daniels: Great distance, needs wider walking sidewalk. 8ft or 10 ft.
Benjamin Bailey: Always a joy to come to, weather taking a walk. Playing on the tennis court, or taking a stroll through the Garden area always a pleasure to come to
Julie S.: Spacious , beautiful and great place to play tennis, sports, picnic, photoshoots, weddings, walk with dogs, kids and exercise.
Joshua Draves-Kellerman: It's a nice park. Sometimes I see a man entirely dressed in denim painting the scenery. It's very wholesome. Nice tennis courts too.
iberia singleton: Nice
Jacob Hensley: Good
Nessa Huskey: Beautiful day in a well taken care of CITY park
Srijan Adhikari: Best tennis courts in KC!
Worm Boy: There just tennis courts. Nice, well-kepted tennis courts, without having to go through the channels like the ones next to the plaza.
Keith Prinkey: It was dirty with trash everywhere. For being owned by the city, they definitely do not take care of this park. Although to be fair it's hard to clean up after people that litter everyday.
Paulina Colton: Courts are incredible
Seth Smith: Courts are in great condition.
Megan Rae: Went late at night with bf our friends that our a couple also for a stroll it was pretty no trash peaceful no one bothered us lmao surprise anyone raised In kc such as myself knows at 12am walking around a park isn't a bright idea lol
Zephan Rodriguez: Bruh
Bolivar Balda: I love this place
Jennifer Walker: I love loose park
terry rhodes: Pleasurable
Ms. M Mac: Great place to play tennis ..... The area and the people are always a delight.
Sidney Sullivan: My favorite park in KC. There is a pond that is home to many fish, turtles and birds like ducks and geese. There is a trail that borders the entire outline of the park and connects in many places between. From event spaces, to tennis courts, playground equipment to the best hammock trees, this park has it all. There are also many events that take place here, like meditations and drum circles. Check it out :)
John Love: definitely the best park in KCMO, and the safest so far for almost a decade like 10 years

Round Hill Bath & Tennis Club: what do users think?
Tracey Wistrom: Love it 😍
Sam Schwaller: Very good community pool/tennis courts.
Caryn Green: Lovely in late afternoon - all precautions are being taken.
Sarah Tulp: Best neighborhood place for families and friends.
kev drum: Good times mlm
Remi Antania: Kids loved it
Jim Drummond: I'm a former member who returned for their spring art show. Great neighborhood anchor.
eD noeL: Clean, quick, professional
Tia Hudson: Wasn't even there
Cheryl Newman: Cute little place for a craft fair.
Scott Jones: Just a flippin blast, nice staff nicer patrons m (private)
Marty Lustig: Great place for kids and folks of all ages!
Hillary Watts: Expensive but worth it for comfort and community
D: Friendly
Avery Reardon: The area has a small playground with a swingset for the kids and multiple tennis courts. The ground near the pool and on the tennis courts is very hot and burns bare feet. The pool has one low diving board, and only two lifeguards on duty for the entire area. The pool has old, rusty ladders and a bad smell. The baby pool is very small, and the water is murky and greenish, with no lifeguards on duty there. The bathrooms are gross, with wet, dirty floors and sinks with cobwebs. There is a room with a pool table that is very run-down and dusty. The outdoor barbecue has old, uncleaned and rusty grills. Overall, the place needs some major maintaince.
Lisa Smith: Great memories at this place! :)
Travis Horn: This place is tremendous for families, I'd recommend it for everyone.

Tennis Courts, Hyde Park: what do users think?
Jeremy B: 2 court's....
jim armer: Great park, feels like an island but reverse. instead of a bump in the ocean, it is a depression in landmass. Nice trail, playground, pickleball/Tennis courts, labyrinth
Joshua Draves-Kellerman: These tennis courts are alright, but 5 stars are given because the location is cool. It feels very private down in the lil ravine that is hyde park.
Steven Monty: Watch out for the homeless
Truther: Great place to play tennis and I love that it is in like a little cove!
Taneisha Taylor: It was great
Al Risden: I only passed by this location, Tennis Courts in Hyde Park, while traveling around photographing settings in the city and specifically this area. It was easy to notice from the main road so while I can't comment on the business side, I can say it's easy to see.
Christopher Dale Suddarth: GREAT historic park!
B “Babowza” K: A little beat up, but the courts work fine;no major issues. Nestled in a nice spot, no chance to lose your balls to traffic which is a plus!
Justin Knysz: There are tennis courts available here, it's true! There are also some steps to climb at the North end (if you want, they're optional if you enter/exit from the south). The overall park path is more or less in the shape of a figure 8.Right now the park could use a little TLC. A few sections of the sidewalk are overrun with dirt/mud and there is a fair bit of trash floating around. Otherwise this is generally a nice little park.I honestly feel safe here during the day/with natural light... after dusk I don't know that I'd walk it on purpose (especially alone). I'd likely stick to the nearby sidewalks that are more well lit.
Daymon Rodriquez: Great
Maustin Davis: i walked by this place while on a bender. did not forget it even whilst trying to forget I am still alive.
Jonathan Pennington: Good place for a nap.
Scott Shanks: What's not to love?
Zeal Zillner: I love this park I love the new Labyrinth they put in very tranquil but I heard that this summer they're going to take the Labyrinth away and put in some type of Chiefs symbol... which I think is a big mistake... I will not be going to that Park as much if they take the Labyrinth away... which I think is the best part of that Park... why ruin a good thing????
Richard L. Higgs: Haven't been there.
Leslie Phillips: Beautiful park! Great location!
Anthony Mcroberts: I enjoy some time to experience a different way of living and dining weather It would be In a McDonald's or the Ritz Carlton be open minded and willing to try things and you will go far and see what life is about not having a car or house or friends money that doesn't make a man who he is the choices you make make you a man weather you are able to do it as a young man or a old man every wise man who has lived and died on earth would tell you that we are not where our forefathers would of liked us to be and to see what program and progress that is taking place to control the media and marketing in wallstreet you would have no interest in life it will take away all the mystery to life and you will need to be able to sit down when you hear about the events that have been hidden and covered up by men who are bored and have any thing they want because they own the federal reserve and the government of the united states and territories around it also splitting up into N,E,W,S covering all four directions of the world north American Union and so forth have signed treaties with Obama administration and FeMa is not here for national emergencies I have information about the possibility of a new threat to national security and technology that allows us so much freedom and liberty I am going to stop here to much to obtain at once and it seems to be a bit crazy and conspiracy theory based accusations I will have to go above and beyond to ensure the proper documentation for proof and national and international warranty on the possibility that the people will stand up and become a meritocracy once again like it was when John Hanson was president of the Confederate States before General Washington became the first president of the 13 colonies and later became the united states and no one else knows what they sacrificed to get us where we are now in 2016 the supreme Court and All other executive legislative and judicial systems are To fail and the rest is just going to be hidden and then the neonazi dictatorship will be installed by the way of Marshall law and executive orders signed by Obama administration on a Friday afternoon after 5pm when no one could argue that the Bill is against the deceleration of independence and also high treason act originally founded by Thomas Jefferson on 12th of may 1881 good luck and God speed
Todd Coy Jr: if you don't mind the homeless its a nice park in a great town
Chris Walter: If you want to play tennis these are never fill it seems.

Harmon Park Tennis Courts: what do users think?
aaron abington: Courts were recently updated and the facility care takers do an amazing job with keeping everything in tip top condition. If you have the urge to play at night I challenge you to find a more lit tennis courts. I am pretty sure you can get a tan from their lights so where your spf.
Jeremy B: Nice courts on the hill overlooking the park.
Joseph Wuest: A great place to play tennis with an awesome vibe! People are friendly and there's lots of shade in the Park. Definitely be back!
Jana Cook: Pickleball court lines are a bit hard to see. But it's a nice park.
J J: Best part of living in Prairie village! I have had things stolen from time to time. Keep an eye on your tennis bags and your car doors locked. Otherwise, awesome tennis park.
Karen Dean: Nice courts but very limited seating. Be sure to take folding seats.
Richard Ryan: Well-maintained.
NangSaoLisa: Awesome courts! Very clean!
Mitch Neal: Great courts
Carole O: Well kept, and you can stay late! Just turn the lights on with the push of a button. They have a schedule posted outside so you know when the courts are reserved for tournaments and such. Nice park in general!
Steve Holderman: Great courts. Pickleball too.
Paul Doskey: Excellent courts! Almost always available space. Courts well maintained. Great lighting.
Dakota Niederhauser: Has night time lighting. Great environment.
Leigh Ann: Well kept courts. And most importantly, pickleball lines on four courts.

Woodside: what do users think?
Jacob Fletcher: My spa experience with Elena was the best! I walked out relaxed and free of pain. I will definitely be going back.
L Cashman: I’m all for updating facilities and understand how in doing so results in an increase in dues. My problem is not that the price has gone up or that I don’t appreciate the remodeling, it’s that the price has gone up for a gym where shower facilities in the women’s locker room are gross. There is rust and buildup on the drains and shower heads, the mats on the floor have gunk underneath them and it smells like a clogged drain. I’ve attached pictures I took today. I hope that some of the money that Woodside is receiving goes towards the Women’s Showers ASAP!
Jesie Fiacco: What used to be an inclusive and fun health and wellness gym is sadly now snobby and exclusive. If you don’t fit the young and super fit mold (ie, the image Woodside is now attempting to create), forget it. You will be ignored, even passive-aggressively threatened by management. How sad that such a KC staple has turned into this wannabe LA gym. This is not Kansas City. Shame on you, Woodside.
Adam Benton: This has been a great club for tennis and the pool. My family loves is and it’s nicer than the cost. Dave is a great tennis pro!
Chelsea Stinnett: I love being a member at Woodside! The pool in the summer can't be beat. The club has great classes, new equipment, clean facilities, and all-around good vibes. The renovation has really taken the gym to the next level! I've been a member for 9 years and will be a member for years to come.
Emma Uridge: I joined Woodside in October 2022 and it looks like I will be leaving due to the 50% increase in member dues for current members on June 1. The monthly fee has jumped from $100 to $150/month for new and current members and the initial sign-on fee jumped from $350 to $450 for new members.I have been in contact with the Woodside membership and communication team and this decision from the owner, Blair Tanner, is apparently final. I hope that this decision will be reconsidered in light of the criticism being received.
Name: Woodside is amazing. The newly renovated facilities are super boujie. I end up spending all day there working, eating, exercising, and pool season is just kicking off. Katy, Tara and the whole team are so much fun! Group classes are great, equipment is great. Best health club I've ever been to.
Vanessa Barrientos: Not sure how you can justify a 50% membership increase when you charged 100% of the membership price for only 50% of the gym for the last 6 months. This is laughable. Would not recommend Woodside.
Julie Branson: Had to amend my original review sadly. They've hiked the dues up to $150/mo with essentially no notice to members. It's disappointing considering we stuck out many months of construction with closed or highly limited facilities. I'm really surprised they aren't giving members at least the time back they lost. The price increase is pre-mature to say the least.Original review: I think there's a perception that this facility is overpriced and/or snobby. That hasn't been my experience at all. The group classes are incredibly welcoming and the value of this place is UNBELIEVABLE. All of the cycling, yoga, and HIIT classes included, the sauna and hot tub zone with eucalyptus towels, and a place to work and have free wifi. I know people who pay $50-100 more per month for just their pilates or cycling studio. The initiation fee is a barrier to entry depending on when you sign up, but beyond that, the monthly membership is kind of a steal if you ask me.
Dylan Pierce: Classes fill up really quick. Just because you paid a down payment doesn’t guarantee they won’t raise your rates by 50%. Always a chance your car gets broken into as well
Charlie Weiler: Tara Zahner is the best! She was very helpful with getting my partner added and telling me about all the amazing things happening at the club. I am very excited for the new renovations. Also want to shout out my favorite instructor Reagan from rowing. She is always motivating and pushing us to be the best! She is a great instructor and very positive! Good vibes at Woodside
Samantha McCormick: Started going to woodside in February of this year, last time I had gone was March 2020 and I am obsessssed with their upgrades. They’ve created an amazing space at the South Club (group fitness and spin is almost done on top of polishing touches it sounds like) that is clean, sleek, and spacious and the entire club has so much to offer!! Also the Earth Bar smoothies are to die for. The membership price is completely worth it for me, I do not think it is expensive especially for what you’re getting. You can pay $150 for just group classes at other places that don’t have all the amenities and worse hours. Definitely the best option by far in KC!!
D P: Construction delays and unannounced closures for the last 6 months have been a serious hinderance to my workouts and enjoyment of the gym. Had to get a Chiefs Fit membership in January bc they were so unreliable. Was originally told construction would be done by the new year and here we are with it still going. Zero concessions made from management despite being inconvenienced and half the gym being unusable. Also terrible communication and accountability. Only reason I stay is for the pool in the summer. Just do better
Felisha McDougald CIC CPRM: Absolutely the WORST billing system on the planet, and be careful they close the pool a ton of times in the summer without notice, generally due to maintenance issues or scheduling conflicts. While the food IS good (kudos to restaurant managment) :), the customer service treats you as if you're lucky to be here :(.
Maxwell Nelson: I am blown away by the amount of inconsistency I have seen in the last 3 days. I have been a member for a little over a year with absolutely zero issues until Saturday Jan 14th. I brought my partner in to sign up and the woman at the front desk had her fill out a form on the supplied PC. That was fine, but it took forever and we needed to upload a pic but there was no camera so there was this dance we had to do to get a picture from her email - like, really? So the signup process was literally like a 20 to 30 minute ordeal. Then when it was done, we received an email saying the sign up is complete and will be active in 1 to 2 days. The woman at the front desk said "Just show people that email and you should be set." which we did and it was fine. A little frustrating, but fine.We then come back the next day, and the woman at the front desk at the South looked confused about the email, and said we need to confirm with the people on the North side. It is becoming blatantly apparent that none of the people stationed at the front desks know the policy. So we go to the North side, they say we should be good, go back to the South side and explain they said we're good and we then go workout. More frustrating but fine. Then we come back this morning, Monday Jan 17th and walk into the South side gym only to be met with the all-too-familiar confusion from the front desk person who then requested my partner go to the North side and "Fill out a waiver" What? First we are hearing about that. So my partner goes to the North side while I begin my workout and I get a text from her "They won't let me workout." Furious I walk to the entrance to find her and she tells me the person at the North side said "We can't find you in the system so there is nothing we can do."For the amount of money they require for signup it is reasonable to expect at least some consistency. There is no process and if there is no one seems to know what that process is. I have loved this place and had no issues when signing up but this recent experience has been an absolute joke. If the policy is "You can't start here until the account has been processed" thats okay, just let us know that. If the email is enough, great - make sure everyone knows that policy so we don't have to waste time. If there is a waiver we need to sign - let us sign it. Every gym and athletic club I have been a part of has this process streamlined and easy to understand. For the way Woodside presents itself one would expect something similar - unfortunately, it is the polar opposite. Unclear policy and direction with a hefty price-tag. Very disappointed.
Libby Ferguson: Wow, words really don't do this place justice! Woodside is far more than just a gym... It is a sacred space that supports all of it's members to be the best versions of themselves. Located inside this serene, safe space is a fantastic team of staff members who always greet you with a friendly smile. Joining woodside is one of the best investments I've ever made for myself.
Kirill Teplov: No, one-time payments to visit this club. for a tourist who came on business to visit the institution is prohibited. in all the states I travel there is a one-time payment. but you don't.
Dan Johns: This used to be a 5-star review but I’ve lowered it to 3.Woodside has really fallen off on their tennis program. Clinics will have 6-8 people trying to play on a single court- you’re crowded or paying to wait for your turn to play. The closing of the south courts has forced tight schedules that have all but destroyed competitive play- there’s no winter inter-club play, and club play forces play after 9 pm on weekdays. You can see members are disappointed- hardly anyone is playing. Meanwhile, courts sit abandoned because of unclaimed permanent court time. Woodside could fine people for not using their court time, but it doesn’t matter to them- they get paid either way.The gym facilities are fine. The new south club seems like it might be nice. But I don’t think the cost is worth it just for the gym. Many long time members are leaving because of how tennis has been treated. I may be joining them.
Chelsea Spraetz: Wish every city had this! A premium experience at a great price. Wonderful facility, staff, services, and food/drinks. I love the group classes and being able to grab a glass of wine or catch up on emails in the lobby afterwards. The staff is always attentive, friendly, fast, and professional. Worth every penny!
Victoria stegmann: They let other people just buy drinks using your last name no card needed for other members to run up your bill. Then they refused to meet with me!!!! Or take my call. Marissa

Homestead Country Club: what do users think?
John Holloway: Food is always outstanding. Kitchen staff usually comes out to see how you are enjoying your meal. Great place to spend time with the family!
Tessie Wissel: Wonderful food. Can’t wait for our next meal at Homestead. The best!
Scott Wissel: We just had the most amazing Mother’s Day Brunch! Ryan and Neil outdid themselves!
Kate Young: I signed up for the tennis league here and was completely baffled by the lack of communication from the management. I miss the way Homestead used to be before the new owners. They cared more about making sure every member was satisfied, rather than just using us for our money.
banana man: I went here and the food was terrible and cold. Dennis was very rude to me and my wife and we were very offended. Never coming back here
McKenna Wise: This is the nastiest place I’ve ever been. Cold food, terrible management, bugs on the floor, and a guy named Dennis. Dennis is the WORST human being on this planet.
Katie Krause: I’ve visited this place a few times with friends who are members, they treat their staff horribly, and the food is revolting. After eating the salmon blt I was sick almost immediately, I will never be returning.
Dove Bennett: I encourage you whose have kids not orders any meal menu. They are bad foods! Also, in the kitchens are noy very clean well!!! Lindsey Coffey, Director of Operations Homestead Country Club are no good and lazy. Please don't get applications work there!
Kevin McLiney: I have been a member for about 6 months. The pickle ball setup is the best in the city. The tennis program, including the pros, is outstanding. The pool is a great setup. The reason for the 3 stars is because the communication is terrible. Nobody that answers the phone has any idea where anybody is or what events are going on. There is no tennis pro shop where you can walk in and talk to someone, setup lessons, buy merchandise or signup for events. Can’t seem to do it online bc it all shows up as my wife.Additionally, we just pay the food minimum because the food is SO BAD it’s not worth eating! The only thing edible are the quesadilla’s. Even the burgers are horrible (except when they grill them by the pool). They have a perfect location but only seem to care about the racket sports.
Bee Charintorn: The only place that has a big size heated swimming pool outdoor. There are a good number of pickle ball courts and tennis courts both indoor and outdoor. There is a nice seating area for dining.
Mandy Dugan: Patty was the nicest staff person. We love her and would stay there just for her. Unfortunately we moved but we will miss Patty. Same with Miss Zara the daycare person.
Monique McDaniel: Beautiful group exercise rooms. Enjoy teaching the Friday noon relax and stretch class
Chris Lyon: I have played Homestead several times as part of a city wide league. They have always been fantastic hosts. The new facility looks great. We played in the new indoor courts tonight. Lighting was good. Logan, the club pro and all front end staff were very helpful. Have always had a great time here.
Greg Raney: Nice club.
Nicole Notam: Friendly staff, great food, clean facilities. My home away from home.
Lawrence Leek: Beautiful scenery
Jeffrey Fredrick: It was Great!!!
Dan R: Side by side new million $ homes, many under construction on VERY busy street. Old country club pool at the end of street, hence heavy traffic.
Kevin Snodgrass: Helpful
Maxwell Arnold: beats me why the pool is closed on one of the hottest days of the year and for most the first day of school, kids want to go to the pool after a 94° first day of school, and it beats me why it’s only 21 and older allowed at a so called family friendly Country club on the first day of school where kids really want to be swimming, really shows us people how they hate us kids and how Indian hills is truly the better country club, step up your game homestead because many people are thinking about leaving this place
