Alexandra Steele: I had such a lovely experience with Glenn the GM. He was very attentive and gave me all the time I needed and really made my whole experience feel VIP! I ended up buying 3 pieces over the course of two visits. When I left, he told me to stop by and see him whenever I was in the area :) This kind of open and welcoming vibe just isn’t the norm anymore and it was great to connect with a fellow human. I highly recommend you VISIT the store vs shopping online just for the awesome buying experience!

All kinds of international travel gear that you can see, touch inspect the quality instead of ordering online (then having to send back)! Pricey but worth it. Good services for repair if hand bags instead of sending my under warranty Italian handbag back to New Jersey, reinforced the closure for $20.00. That would have cost me Took a bit longer than expected, because only one repair person, got ill, backed up -really not bad , 3 weeks. So if taking a repair, keep the repair slip where the repair ticket will be seen because probably will need to inquire.
Chef Matt Livers: Awesome customer service.My 8 year old Samsonite bag has seen enough! Zipper had issues, and I really hoped that Bag and Baggage could repair. To my surprise, the bag was replaced by warranty. Bag and Baggage communicated the entire process and I received my new bag via ups! Excellent service and super friendly in-store representatives.

I'm currently on an extended stay in Europe and have had the handles break on two of my Travelpro suitcases. I emailed them because I'm going to be in KC later this month to see if they could get parts to fix my bags while I was there. They emailed right back and Erin asked for pictures etc and said they could fix. After sending info to Travelpro -- it was discovered that they did not have the parts to fix and Erin responded back that they were going to replace my bags for me since they couldn't get the parts. Just the best customer service ever !! I can't wait to thank them in person and pick up my new bags.

Keith Black: Over 16 years ago, I started traveling to exhibit at trade-shows. Airlines destroyed my first suitcase in less than a year. I wound up buying about another two or three suitcases that did’t survive, either. Then about 13 years ago, I learned about Briggs&Riley, and their Simple as That lifetime guarantee that even covers airline damage. Sure, it was expensive, but I haven’t had to buy another suitcase since!Recently, I traveled to Kansas City for my first trade-show since the Covid shutdown, and discovered a broken, minimally functioning wheel on my bag. Once at my hotel, I went to the B&R website to find a local dealer for warranty repair and discovered Bag & Baggage.It was late afternoon when I called and spoke with a nice lady, Ann, who apologized that the service department was closed at that time, but gave me the email address for Will in their service department.Due to my working schedule, I didn’t have time to go deliver and pickup the bag, plus the weekend was coming and my flight was Monday morning. Because of my work, I have to carry a tool kit, so I figured I could replace the part myself in my hotel room. That evening, I emailed the info necessary for the warranty about my bag, along with pictures of the broken part and Will replied early the next morning confirming that they had the part in stock. We exchanged a couple more times, and then he took initiative to personally carry the part out to be shipped, ensuring I received it at my hotel the next day. I replaced the wheel without any problem, or making any payment.Bags & Baggage has to EARN the opportunity to continue carrying premium quality brands like Briggs & Riley.This is evidence that they do their part.

The Overland Park location has everything you could ever need as a hardcore traveler, either for work or for pleasure.There are lots of newer "upscale" luggage retailers online, but I hate that i can't actually feel/see/test their products before sinking 400+ dollars into them and this store completely negated that issue for me. They offer the same quality of luggage, at about the same prices, but you can actually get a feel for what you're buying before you invest. Away and Nomatic LOOK nice, but how can you tell if they actually are? After buying from Bag and Baggage, I know 100% without a doubt that i bought a quality piece of luggage that will last, and even if something does go wrong, the store offers all sorts of repair services and other ways to make sure you are taken care of as well as your luggage.Seriously people, this store is AMAZING. Please, if you're in the KC area, consider shopping locally with them. Especially if you're in the market for luggage right now as obviously, Covid has not been great for them and I want them to be around for another 40 years!! I promise you won't regret it! Again, thank you to Bag and Baggage and Marissa for such an outstanding purchasing experience!
David Hicks: While in Arizona this winter my wife saw a Walleroo hat that she really liked but didn't buy. When we came back to the KC area we looked it up online and considered just buying it from the manufacturer and having it shipped to us. But considering the pandemic and the struggles to survive that our local merchants are enduring I decided to go to Bag and Baggage to support our local stores...Jeff Bezos has quite enough money, I will buy local and support my neighbors! My shopping experience was first rate, the pricing was fair and reasonable, and I genuinely felt valued as a customer. Marissa even ordered two hats just to make sure that she got us the exact right color (which she did), she is awesome. She loves the Walleroo hat and she's beautiful in it!
Linda Davis: It's so easy to order everything online these days, but I'm so glad I opted to shop local on this one! There are so many bags out there and it's hard to tell which one is the best choice. The staff here was very knowledgable and pointed out things I wouldn't have known buying online. For example the bags I purchase have a life time warranty...if they get damaged, I just drop them off at Bag & Baggage and they will handle the process of getting it repaired for me! They pointed out features that different bags have that will make them easier to use. They didn't have the color that I wanted so they ordered it in for me. They even set the locks before I left the store.

Ann Evans: It was my first trip to Europe and I asked what I needed to be able to plug in my electronics and was shown an adapter. I purchased 2 but they didn't work for me. I went to return the unused adapters and was told that they had to be returned within 10 days of purchase. I was gone 11 days!My family and I have trusted and depended on Bag & Baggage for years but their customer service is now terrible. Those adapters were $54 each.

Jeff Primovic: Right now I'm less than satisfied. The good news is I have a TravelPro bag that gets me through most travel. However, 3 weeks ago I took my Tumi bag in for a new zipper pull. That bag accommodates suits, and is needed for an upcoming trip. There was no communication on the delay - I had to call (repeatedly) before getting someone in the repair area at Prairie Village who could tell me what was going on. I'm with other reviewers here - I've seen a decline in service from this location over the last few years. It previously was my go-to luggage and travel accessories location; not so anymore. I bought the Tumi bag there, thus thought it the right location for the repair.

Unfortunately, the postal service messed up and returned it to Vera Bradley. The blanket was sold out online, but Shelby found one and shipped it straight to me! I'm so glad, because it's the most festive and sparkly rose gold blanket I have ever seen. It was exactly the blanket I wanted for the holidays (and maybe all year)! She was so helpful and patient, and I wish I'd contacted her sooner. Vera Bradley rocks, and the Leawood store is my favorite!
