I shop in their clearance section and never fail to find classy, contemporary slacks, 👚, and 👗 in my size.I always feel invited and valued. Staff are helpful and accommodating. The deals are extraordinary especially considering the Express 💸 that I earn! I have purchased a $95 dress for $5.25.

I didn’t like the treatment at all when another lady came in with heels on she was greeted and treated differently. I was wearing a casual outfit with tennis shoes and i never imagined my clothes would make a difference. Horrible service

Marilyn Solsky: This is the second time I have had a bad experience with a return at this store. The first time was several years ago; I had not worn the item, but there was a powder transfer from trying it on and the sales clerk would not accept the item for return. I took it to the Overland Park store and returned it without a problem.Today I had a horrible experience in the store. There were only a few people in the store, but the people ahead of me had a huge order. The clerk, who was new, was doing his absolute best. He deferred a couple of time to his store manager who was only aligning shoes on a shelf; one time he asked her if an employee who was no longer working there could still use her employee discount. The manager came over, engaged the person in conversation, as if she were an old friend, saw that I was waiting and went back to rearranging shoes. The second time she came over I asked if she could help me, but she waited long enough that the kind clerk was finally able to help me. I was incensed by her lack of customer service and after thinking about it, decided I would return the item right then. Because I called her out on her poor customer service she said I had disrespected her, she refused to take back the item and said she would call security. I am not sure she was the one who was disrespected. I admire H and M for trying to recycle clothing, but not enough to tolerate poor customer service or nonresponsive managers.
Tasanee Dumas: will not be coming here & I am a plaza resident.Was talked down by a cashier & manager (associate number:556647) tonight after paying $100 cash.. shopping with my boyfriend.I got some pink shoes for my birthday dinner, we had our dog with us so I had to help my boyfriend with his wallet so I was the main one in this transaction handling money.I gave him the $100 bill with a $38.83 total, he gives me back $21. He then calls the manager to open the drawer and says “wrong change.” , she walks away. (i do not understand why she did not handle the transaction after this point as a retail manager).After she walks away, he tries giving me back $40 and a $1 bill is all I had after he took the $20 from me. I told him, no this is incorrect.My boyfriend steps in, mind you he is deaf so sound is not apparent to him. Tells him he doesnt trust him with the money, please get the manager.The manager steps in and goes “are we yelling?.” I go “no one is yelling.”, her response “please don’t yell at my sales associates.” , mind you- no one was yelling & my boyfriend is deaf holding a dog.I then explain to her what happened, she interrupted me to say “let me talk to my sales associate first.” which then that associate tried to say he gave me the money ($61 which I never got) and then tries to play it like we were trying to get more money when we never got the correct change to begin with.We left with the correct change and a sad place it my heart because I will no longer be shopping here as a plaza resident.I would give 0 stars if I could, this used to be the best place to shop since I was younger. Now it’s gone down hill, need new managers who assist & employees who know how to count accurately + have customer service.

I tried it on, it didn’t fit, I returned it within the 30 day timeframe and they told me it looked worn so they wouldn’t accept it. *I had folded them because I knew I would be returning them. They don’t have changing rooms, so if I can’t try something on in store, and they won’t accept the return, then I don’t know what I’m expected to do. I liked H&M before, but I will have to find another store. Even though I’m sure they don’t care.

John Hutzenbuhler: Outstanding service on Saturday 11/27/21! Felt like rock stars. My wife wanted to buy a couple things and we experienced amazing customer service. Staff greeted us, recommended clothes, brought her clothes to try on, made good recommendations, encouraged to only buy what she loved, and were extremely helpful. Store was FULLY staffed with helpful stylists. Aja did an amazing job. Later, I learned she was the store manager. Wow - she truly instills fantastic customer service skills to her team. In today's environment of short staff and poor customer service - White House Black Market in CCP is truly an exception. Great job Aja and to the entire WHBM team!!!

We have been looking for a high class/beautiful dress for days by that point and looked at over 12 stores Including Macy’s David’s bridal alter’d state Dillard’s just to name a few. They have sizes that have room to spare that are not a Chinese extra small. We were very pleased with the customer service and how attentive and helpful the representatives were. We will be back!!

Tracy: I shop in WHBM very often, mainly online. This past Sunday, December 27th I decided to shop online and go in the store in the Country Club Plaza to pick up my items. When I walked in the store at noon I wasn't greeted at all, so I spoke and only one employee spoke back, which is very rude. The black associate looked up, but didn't speak back. I'm black and felt offended. My sales associate didn't want to talk with me at all, I had to ask her to repeat every answer that she gave to my questions, RUDE!! I hope the manager sees this post and train her employees better, because this isn't the first time I've had this experience in this store, where I spend on average $100 monthly, this may not be a lot of money, but I don't have to spend a penny.
Tara Bruenger: Sherri is AMAZING! If you go, call ahead and make an appointment with her. She knows exactly what size you are by looking at you, knows how the clothes are supposed to fit, and gives EXCELLENT customer service. I will be a frequent shopper at this location.

Rebecca Baxter: Rude, rude, rude. The 2 girls that were working when we walked in (6/15 @2:30 pm ish) stood behind the counter gossiping and did not approach or speak to my husband nor I once. After I was holding 10 items one finally asked me if I wanted a dressing room.When my husband asked for a size the response he got was, "I guess I can do that"Bc of this we got online in the dressingroom and ordered the items I liked from Bloomingdale's.The only reason I'm giving two stars is: we did buy one tank that I couldn't find online. A new employee; short tan women was working w glasses help us. She was sweet and friendly. If she had helped us in the beginning we would of had a large purchase vs the $38 tank top.

ET: Small but adorable store. I’ve shopped here for several years but cut way back, presently completely because of the poor quality. The staff are really sweet and helpful. I have purchased a lot of Free People merchandise, but I’ve had some items like dresses and tops end up with really bad pilling, socks pull apart, sweaters literally falling apart and jewelry also falling apart completely, and for the price this should not be happening. Free People doesn’t stand behind their merchandise which was the ultimate downfall for me. Very disappointed. I do miss the wonderful staff.

Julia Morgan: I had a wonderful experience shopping at Altar'd State yesterday. I was looking for a lightweight blazer for a work conference and potentially a few tops. Both associates that were working on the sales floor were friendly and they let me know about the deals that were going on. They weren't pushy about making the sale, but helpful with finding out what I like and what I was looking for. The blazer size that I wanted was not on the floor, but the took the time to grab a ladder to check the one that the mannequin had on. It was a size that worked for me, and was grateful that they put in the extra effort. It's tricky looking for a blazer in the middle of summer in Kansas City! Grateful for the ease of shopping their and props to both associates for their inventiveness and friendliness. They actually made trying on clothes fun and not a hassle.

Lindsey Loeb: Customer service was absolutely awful. I am a size 14 and unfortunately stores like this still exist where you are discriminated on how you look. While waiting to checkout with my sweater the cashier took the girls behind me and I was completely ignored when I asked why that had happened. When I was finally rang up the cashier rang it up wrong and when I tried to correct her on the price she got very nasty with me and proceeded to toss the bag my way after she fixed it with a snarl on her face. I will never return here and I advise you not to either.

Carina Devera: If you have a stroller or handicap this place does not comply with regulations. I visited the store two days ago, and on the first level the elevator does not work. My partner had to carry the stroller done the first set of stairs. Second level elevator does work. But I can’t imagine someone who was in a wheelchair being able to shop due to this issue. Please fix it, the neglect is not a good look on the store .

Laura Fromm: I received a gift over the holidays that came in a different color than advertised. I returned it, marking that I would like a gift card in return. I was planning to simply rebuy the comforter in a different color. Urban received the package and never processed the return, so I called a few weeks later and they noticed this error and said it would process, then Urban mistakenly returned it in the form of credit to the original purchaser. This was a gift to me, so now the person who gifted it awkwardly contacted me asking why it was returned. I called urban outfitters back and they said they would not give me a gift card as they cannot reverse this payment. Seeing as the error is on them I would’ve expected better customer service and that they would still either resend the original item or give me a gift card. if I’ve ever had an error with another company they have always made it right… figure I would share this experience as if I would’ve known I would’ve selected an item from a different store. It’s been frustrating to say the least

The Laydee Bea: I’ve Had the absolutely worst Experience in the store. Purchase the item from this store and had to return it and was given a gift card that didn’t work. Explained the situation to the store was told to find my Receipt I went and found my receipt and was told their was still nothing that can be done. Called customer service was told I was to talk to the store where the mistake was made. Now I’m out $150 for a store mistake when I have the gift that was given to me and The receipt
Asia: Is this location closing or something? I came in to look for a jewellery dish which you'd usually find on the lower level...that level was dang near empty! Some of their items had dust on them as if they'd been sitting for awhile. I know the pandemic might've played a part in the place looking like it did but I think it's time for some new merchandise. Not to mention, there were no associates around to help.
Kathy Nguyen: I think it’s important to have the dressing rooms available anytime you go into a clothing store. Understandably with COVID-19 I can understand why some clothing stores do have their dressing rooms closed however the urban outfitters website specifically says that the dressing rooms are open. This is my second time wasting 40 minutes to drive to urban outfitters only for them to tell me that their dressing rooms are closed. I tried to call ahead, probably 20 times, with no response before driving there. To my surprise the sales associate told me that the dressing rooms are closed today because they didn’t have enough people working. She also proceeded to tell me that the phones weren’t answered because they were on their lunch break. Oh for 2 hours??? Ok. Maybe have a social media account that posts whether certain services are open or not. Sales associate was lazy and in empathetic. The only positive thing I have to say about this store is that Kelsey is a good worker.

Michael Schilling: Everyone in Kansas City is so nice, but the employees here are extremely rude. My wife, kids and I came here for a mini vacation and went shopping during our down time. When my wife needed another size dress, the dressing room attendant told us that they don’t do that there and we can get it ourselves. We brushed it off as we thought maybe she was just having a bad day. And then when leaving, holding a pile of things we were going to buy, a different employee told us we needed to walk back down to get the dress that didn’t fit, so they wouldn’t have to. They were so rude and sarcastic for absolutely no reason and, last I checked, h&m isn’t paying us to do their job. Needless to say, we dropped the rest of the pile too and walked out. Terrible customer service. Do better, H&M.
