john bioff: Tivol is an amazing institution in Kansas City! This jewelry store has been an icon in KC for for decades. When I graduated my father gave me a Tivol watch as a present. Now I am giving my daughter a Tivol bracelet for her graduation. I have lived in Alaska for the last 27 years and my daughter is graduating from University of Alaska. She was raised here. But my ties go back to KC, and just like my own father did for me, I am continuing the tradition to give my daughter a piece that is perfect for her and that has the historical generational tie to my home so she will always have that. Amanda at Tivol went way out of her way to ensure I was able to receive this piece on very short notice before my daughter's graduation. She was a huge help and a true professional. Adriana Miranda: I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and I am very disappointed on the service I received today.I had a return, it had been a couple weeks over the 30 day new policy and the associate told me that because of the time the items were not returnable, I asked to speak to a manager, when she showed up, (Chika is her name), she did not introduced herself and simply said "The items are not returnable because is been more than 30 days", she turned around and offer help to somebody else and left me there, didn't look at me or wait for a response, like I was invisible, I had to go around where she was to ask for the store manager's name, she said the name is "bolgena" I asked her to please write down for me, she said "We are not allowed to do that", I grabbed a piece of paper and asked her to spell the name for me, she said "The name is bolgena". and turned around to help the other customer, I was about to loose it so I left and went to another counter to get the store manager's name. Julie at the jewelry counter was amazing, she could tell I was upset and offer to help, she stated they can do a one time exception on the new policy and she did the return for me. Thank you Julie!I want to say, the main reason why I am so upset is not because I could not return the items, it is because how I was treated by CHIKA. She should not be in a manager position if she is unable to show respect for customers, needles to say, to provide customer service.

They also had lots of sale items marked down quite a bit. They have very nice products and it was well laid out. They still have furniture and mattress upstairs as well. Still very clean, but the bare shelves and displays, low selection in anything but the junior department (WHY?). Any jewelry we buy, whether it be for anniversarys, birthdays, or holiday gifts, is from here, including my engagement and our wedding rings.Customer service is always professional when we visit this place. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, I feel like the complimentary services like ring cleaning has changed and am quite disappointed with the time it takes to simply clean your ring. I am not sure exactly how busy this place is, but we dropped by on a Sunday to see if I could clean my ring as we were in the area running errands. We were told an hour...Before, we'd visit the Tiffany & Co. in Indianapolis and ring cleaning took as short as 10-15min. I can understand if such policies have changed since the time we purchased my ring or maybe it was because they were busy?! (Not many customers in store at the time requested) but I had hoped to get my ring clean without having to wait an hour. I also believe you get what you pay for and if we are going to invest several thousands, the service should be superb. We left disappointed as we didn't have the time to stick around.

Be aware of their repair policy on missing diamonds or stones before purchase. Then made me go thru my receipt one by one and made me late for my appt. Also made me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. Not coming back!

Desiree Loa: Visited this location in December to have my wedding set inspected and cleaned. Upon arrival they were closed for lunch. No big deal, I understand. I waited for about 20 minutes and returned to the store. Upon entering, I was greeted by a younger man. When I told him what I needed he seemed annoyed and proceeded to tell me that he was unable to clean my ring at this time. I asked about my inspection. He pulls out his tablet, I hand him my ring and he lays it on the counter. NEVER even looks at it. Proceeds to enter my information into the tablet and then gives my ring back and says, "ok, you're all set." I thought it was strange seeing as how he never even looked at it but wanted to give him the benefit of doubt that maybe I wasn't due for an inspection and he just noted it on the account.Fast forward to yesterday and I visit the Kay's at Oak Park mall. To my surprise the employee at this location confirmed that he HAD marked the ring as inspected in December. I understand that cleaning and inspections probably aren't the most fun thing to do. Especially when you aren't making a sale. However, my husband already spent the money for these services when he purchased the rings. Oak Park Kay's also said they get complaints about the Legends locations frequently. Please considered visiting another location where the employees actually care and are friendly rather than grumpy and dismissive.

alicia james: Just stop to get my husband watch a new battery and replace screen. We have purchased a lot of jewelry here and today I received not very good service. Long wait and Instead of keep telling me the it would cost $ something I already knew. I say I need to get it fix not how much it would cost me. I try for them to lookup my account a few time the way they would notice we have done this before and realize that even like today I was not wearing any of my jewelry I can afford to be there. Yes because this how the older lady maybe feel today. I learn next time I bring my white husband so this crazy Latina gets better service.
IC C: A+ Experience! We went to all 3 jewelry outlets located in the Legends. I felt like Goldilocks and the 3 jewelry stores. Helzberg was too pushy and selection was sparse. Zales was good but quality was low. Kay had the best selection, quality and the sales team was AWESOME. Kristy and Tommy were friendly, helpful and patient. They eliminated my stress and made the entire experience fun and exciting. The excellent customer service has continued after the purchase. Kristy has been been sending me emails to keeping me updated on the status of my order, including pictures. This level of service has really kept my mind at ease. Many thanks to Kristy and Tommy!
