Ambreen Villanova: I’m a big fan of DSW. I decided to go in to see if they have anything nice for the summer and picked up a pair of shoes I liked. My little one was with and she picked up a toy. We get to the register and the cashier greets us , she’s being super nice until I ask her for a plastic shopping bag. The cashier rang up the items and just stood there not bagging the items. I asked for a bag and she said we are going bagless. I was confused and said well maybe you should put up a sign so customers are aware. She eventually gives me a bag and says you have been warned for next time ! I almost burst out laughing ! I just rolled my eyes , said have a good day and went about my way. Just FYI everyone apparently DSW is going bagless.

Easton: I ordered a pair of shoes online that came scuffed up with no tissue in the shoes or box and dirty/worn on the bottom. I have ordered shoes from DSW dozens of times in the past and have never experienced this. I took them in to the DSW at Zona Rosa and was shocked at the lack of quality customer service. I explained to the employee at the register the state that the shoes were in when I received them and she called for a manager. I don't know if she thought my story was suspicious, but she never asked any questions or explained why she was calling for the manager. The manager came up and did not make eye contact with me, only said "this is how you received them?" while looking at the shoes and then told the employee to damage them out. There wasn't an apology offered by anyone for the state of the shoes, which is the very least they could have done.

Peter W: We used to love Nordstrom and their amazing merchandise/customer service. I recently learned a hard lesson on their core values via an experience we had making a return. After purchasing several formal wear items from their online store, I kept the pieces I needed for my tux and created an online return and shipped back the unneeded items via THEIR return label. I physically took the box to USPS and using Nordstrom's return label, i shipped the box fully trusting their return process. Needless to say, $1500 worth of merchandise has now shown "in transit" since early November 2022. We contacted Nordstroms and they declined to help us or process the return even though we used their return label. So essentially, we are out $1500 after fully trusting they would stand behind their return mailing process and any mishaps that happen once the package is handed off to USPS. I feel somewhat certain either an employee from Nordstrom or USPS stole the box and therefore it was never processed for return. All in all, we found out the hard way that Nordstrom customer service isn't actually all that great when it's truly needed for a situation like this. They are nice on the phone but when it comes down to what matters, we didn't get the refund and are out $1500. I would stick with finding the items on Amazon, if you can, because Amazon has stood behind their return process, and I have never had an issue with them "losing" a return.

Adriana Miranda: I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and I am very disappointed on the service I received today.I had a return, it had been a couple weeks over the 30 day new policy and the associate told me that because of the time the items were not returnable, I asked to speak to a manager, when she showed up, (Chika is her name), she did not introduced herself and simply said "The items are not returnable because is been more than 30 days", she turned around and offer help to somebody else and left me there, didn't look at me or wait for a response, like I was invisible, I had to go around where she was to ask for the store manager's name, she said the name is "bolgena" I asked her to please write down for me, she said "We are not allowed to do that", I grabbed a piece of paper and asked her to spell the name for me, she said "The name is bolgena". and turned around to help the other customer, I was about to loose it so I left and went to another counter to get the store manager's name. Julie at the jewelry counter was amazing, she could tell I was upset and offer to help, she stated they can do a one time exception on the new policy and she did the return for me. Thank you Julie!I want to say, the main reason why I am so upset is not because I could not return the items, it is because how I was treated by CHIKA. She should not be in a manager position if she is unable to show respect for customers, needles to say, to provide customer service.

Laura Kathleen Baker: I never buy shoes from Aldo but was window shopping in September and saw a pair in the window. They did not have my size so I ordered them from the store to be shipped to my house. That was Sept 2022 and it is now Jan 2023. I still do not have the shoes and the website says they have not shipped. I called the store that placed the order and they told me they cannot help at all. Last time I will ever buy/ order from any Aldo store. WORST customer service.
Joseph Martin: I live in Omaha. My siblings and I took my parents to KC for a weekend getaway and we ended up in Aldo on our Saturday shopping spree. By far the friendliest staff we encountered on our entire trip. Top tier customer service and great selection of product.
Kent Jacob Codilla: A very unpleasant associate who chews gum and blows them right in front of customer's faces. This associate also complains that customers try on a pair of shoes for more than a few seconds. I guess the quality of the staff is just as terrible as the quality of ALDO shoes. If you expect to have associates be patient with you as you look their options, be prepared for disappointment.

The entire time we were there the lady that was helping us was giving me some not so nice looks. We had called another location to see if we could return it there and they said that it would be no problem to return it the way it is.

Looking for some shoes, I noticed three sales clerks in the shoe depart while in the store. I thought 1 out of 3 would have asked me if I needed assistance. So I waited for 20 mins, still no service. Finally, I asked for a store manager Jeff Russell. The only thing he did was apologize. Can you imagine how this makes me feel? Dillards at ZR!!!! like I wasn't good enough to ask if I needed service. Being a VIP credit card holder!!!. I will being emailing corporate about this matter. Renee Bannerman: I found 2 pair of shoes to purchase and followed the directions as per the signage for the BOGO sale. When I got to the register I was told that neither pair qualify and I wouldn't get the discount. I asked for clarification and was told that if the 2nd pair was more expensive than the first they couldn't be half price. I explained the first pair couldn't be half price because they were NIKE as per their signage. The clerk asked me to get the signage so I went back and picked it up. These signs are all over the store in front of many of the premium shoes like NIKE. It only says premium shoes have to be the first rung up at regular price. It DOES NOT say they have to be more expensive than the 2nd pair. Another clerk and finally,the manager, came from the back of the store. They reiterated their pricing policy. I explained again that's not what the store signage says. I was invited to leave the store and told they have plenty of customers. When I picked up the sign to take a picture of it I was told I couldn't do that. And the clerk's parting comment to me was to call me a racist! I'm never spending another dollar with this company.
Abundantly Blessed: i've gone in here plenty of times over the past 2 years and when I ask for help for shoes the manager Britney she's always rude. She never speaks when I say hello. She gives a silent treatment. I don't know if they do customer service training but she absolutely needs it. and when she does speak, she comes off ghetto and rude. Not a good look for the store. The front girl had her help find my daughter some shoes and she had an attitude. I absolutely dread coming in here when she works not a good time with her! i'm giving them one star because of their shoe selection is great.

johnny howard: My first time going to Off-Broadway in Ward Parkway Sopping center was not a good one, I guess I didn't get the memo about how the stores buy one and get the other pair for half price goes.The first thing is all the Nikes are off-limits for the sale. The second thing is that if you find another brand and the cost is the same as the brand you are buying they are off-limit. Third, they are steering you to the cheapest shoes they have in the store for the sale. I think if it was a customer-friendly sale they wouldn't put all these restrictions on their shoes. I've been to Shoe Carnival and I have not experienced this kind of restriction on their buy one get the other half price. Just a heads up to management you need to display these restriction some where that the customer can see them plainly because I wasted a lot of time picking out shoes only to get to the cash register and to be told that the shoes I had didn't work for you guys sale. And that was it for me I just went on line and ordered a pair of shoes it was less stressful. Thank you for hearing my complaint.

Jason Bryson: It's honestly a good shoe store. They have a decent selection and most sizes are typically in stock. It's a large store and so there's plenty of room to shop comfortably and not feel confined.
Shelley Wehmeyer: These poor managers. Chaos every time I go in there. One time a large $$$ refund did not process and never hit my bank account despite the receipt. It was due to terminal issues in the store. They couldn’t help me in store and blamed corporate. They could not call customer support and handle on my behalf. After 5 weeks and 6 calls with customer support where I was told no updates or told to call other numbers that never had anyone on the other end… I finally got my money back. Total headache. No one knew what was going on.

They were all trying their best, but their manager was failing them. Corporate should look into this.

So they called the manager Rebecca her attitude is terrible she kept saying I wanted a “refund” and all I wanted to do was exchange my sons shoes for a bigger size. She insisted that I was trying to get money, she also said I was being “angry “ and all I did was ask a question. If a store has a policy I would happily fo whatever is needed it was the way she said it. The cashier that asked for help was crying because of how bad the manger was speaking to me the manager Rebecca told the employee if she can’t handle retail she needs to work some where else. And told her she can work the floor and someone else can cashier. No apology nothing this lady is apologizing and crying and I immediately told her I wasn’t mad at her and that it was her manager doing a poor job. She tried calling security on me saying that I needed to leave her store. I’ve never seen anything like it my life. I feel bad for the employees that’s a hostile work environment. And a poor example of what customer service should be.

Christian Gutierrez: I went in this afternoon to look for shoes for my godchildren. When I went to the cash register, the cashier was extremely rude. I asked if the shoes I had chosen qualify for a bogo sale promotion she said no in a rude tone…… when I asked if there were any coupons she muttered under her breath and I couldn’t hear her so I asked her to repeat and she said “o don’t know what’s on the website” sometimes it’s not what you say but more so how you say it …. Terrible customer service. While I was looking for a coupon online she walked away for a good chunk of time doing something else.. when she came back I payed full price for shoes and left as soon as possible. Will not be returning. Disappointed in general.

I enjoy looking around sometimes but at least half the time I'll always leave with a pair of shoes.. The only con about this place is the prices. I know that their prices are a little higher than other shoe stores.

Gail Sawrie: DSW has an extensive selection, especially of women's shoes. They are a bit more pricey than other bulk shoe stores, but they seem to have more variety.

Vanessa Meriwether: Can someone please explain to me why I was just chastised by the cashier for not wanting to give her my home address? Can we not just pay and leave? I visited this store to find a pair of shoes for an event that night. At checkout, the cashier asked if we found what we were looking for. I said no but I can make these work. She didn’t ask what I was looking for or offer to find what I wanted at another location. She just asked for my phone number, which I gave to her. Then she asked for my address. I explained that I was in a hurry and would rather just pay. I asked if there would be any additional discount for completing a profile. She gave a speech about the benefits of setting up a profile. Again, I asked to just check out and even thanked her for trying to help sign me up for coupons but I needed to get going. She was literally exasperated! She told me I was really missing out and so on. I just wanted a pair of shoes and they didn’t even have what I was looking for. At least just let me pay in peace for what scrounged up.

Linda P: Great selection of shoes online. Curbside pickup is a wonderful option to have during COVID time and I've used it several times. The pick up goes smoothly as do returns done curbside as well. I have had a few instances where shoes I ordered at the same time have been split into different orders and orders that stay"in process" for more than a week. Recently a notification arrived that one pair I ordered was ready for pickup and when I picked it up it wasn't the same pair that was on the notification and the paperwork didn't match either -it was for the other shoe in the same order. Otherwise my DSW curbside orders and pickups have gone very smoothly.Update: Indoor shopping has resumed and masks are optional. A big thumbs up to both employees working at DSW tonight. They both were very helpful trying to help us find what we were looking for. They were very welcoming and approachable too. A+ for DSW customer service!
Laura Pappenfort: Love the shoe large selection. My complaint is the parking lot. Absolutely no lights. It is a public health and safety issue for anyone who shops after dark I will not go there if I could be there after dark. I would think the City of Lenexa would have something to say about all the light poles in the lot that are NOT turned on. DSW should make a big deal to their landlord that they are missing business because the parking lot is pitch black. Not safe!

Thao Nguyen: BAD SERVICE! The store had promised a lucrative incentive - a $15 reward for every $200 spent - and had requested me to sign up with my phone number. I had expressed my concern about the authenticity of the offer and had asked for a membership evidence. However, the store simply assured me that providing my phone number was enough. The following day, when I returned to make more purchases, I were dismayed to find out that the store had reneged on their promise, claiming that I had not signed up for membership and therefore, were ineligible for the $15 reward.

Dale Vanek: The bogo deal with 50% off second pair is a joke. Basically if you read the fine fine it excludes ALL major brands. It is so confusing, you don't know what qualifications you need till at the register. Every person I saw at the register did not qualify. One employee said to the other "you going to run a register too so you can get a bunch of complains as well?" So they know it is confusing as well. Gimmick to get you in the door.

Found the shoes I wanted went up to cashier to pay ,I didn't know that there was a special direction to go to the cashier. I did not see a do not enter sign so was standing by the cashier waiting for her to finish checking out someone thinking I was next when I saw a woman with several shoe boxes on the opposite side from me so I let her go next and more people were going around that way. The cashier saw me standing there looked my way several times and never bothered to tell me that I was in the wrong place until she had finished with that lady and another lady from that side went up to the cashier so I asked when she was going to check me out since I had been standing there at least 10 minutes or more. That was when she informed me that I should not have come that way because there was a DO NOT ENTER sign which I never saw. So I left without buying the shoes and will NEVER EVER go back there again and plan on telling everyone to do the same.
