Julianne Rabal: This was my first visit to any Capital Grille location. I was celebrating a college graduation with high hopes of having a great experience with my family. Unfortunately that was not the case. We had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. The food was decent, however our server was extremely rude and had an awful attitude the entire evening really spoiling our night. Brett would take our plates and drinks without asking if we were not finished - even when there were still a large sip left. He did not really acknowledge our special occasion. We were expecting much better service for spending $$$$.

Sanjay Srikantiah: I visited the 801 chophouse for Berkshire Hathaway weekend. I was lucky enough to be at the restaurant the same evening that Mr. Warren Buffett was there with his family! I thoroughly enjoyed the food, particularly the Wagyu, best cut of meat I’ve ever had in my life! I will be back at the 801 chophouse next year when I am in Omaha for the annual meeting.

Patrícia: While this restaurant wasn't quite my thing, I'd definitely recommend it to any meat lovers out there! However, if you're not a fan of meat, this might not be the place for you. Unfortunately, there weren't many non-red meat options available, so if you're looking for a spot to accommodate various dietary restrictions, this might not be the best choice. That being said, our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful, even though we opted for non-read meat dishes. It was clear that he was passionate about the restaurant's red meat offerings, but he still made sure we had a great experience.

Princesses of the 417 Company: Beautiful inviting atmosphere, very upscale but not too stiff. Erica was our phenomenal waiter, but all of the staff was efficient and kind/courteous. The food and dessert was perfect. My 5 year old remarked that the restaurant was so fancy and he wished he was wearing and bowtie. Erica emerged moments later with her own bowtie from her uniform and put it on him. It made him feel so special. The whole experience was over the top and wonderful, our bellies and hearts are full!

It was a Monday night and we didn’t have a reservation, so the host sat us up at the bar. Really not even worth mentioning except it was at the very end right next to the service well so it was a little distracting at times. The menu is New American/Italian/Asian fusion. We took recommendations from our server who may have been the floor manager. She helped us navigate the menu and we ended up ordering seaweed doughnut and crispy pork ribs to start. The seaweed doughnuts were decadent, think savory beignets with hint of seaweed smeared with a trout roe crema. The flavors of the crispy pork ribs heavily reminded me of a Vietnamese dish, bun cha. Next we had spicy strozzapretti and XO fried rice. The strozzapretti definitely stole the show, both of our favorite for the night. So much so we ordered a second. We still had a little room after so we asked for another suggestion and landed on the mushroom burger. It wasn’t a patty like I had expected, but more akin to a mushroom sloppy joe. That being said it did not disappoint the taste buds. Needless to say I’ll be back with the wife and friends in tow so I can try more phenomenal offerings from this menu.

And the picture is a small bouquet I paid for 75 plus service fee and taxes. This place is way over priced. Maggie D: Called to see what time they closed and they said they were closing up as we’re speaking but the website says 12am so we suggested they change it on google if that were the case and we hung up. 2 minutes later we get a call from a worker on his personal # and he’s telling us to come to the restaurant so he could “whoop our ass” and then called us very rude names. What a “HIGH CLASS” restaurant. Very unprofessional and the managers/owners should reconsider who they hire. I WILL be telling people to stay away from this place!

Brian Haynes: My wife and I have been here 3 times now, and we haven't had a bad experience yet.The food is absolutely amazing, the staff does an excellent job, the plating is great, and the atmosphere is solid. I feel it is in kind of an odd location for a nicer establishment, but once you walk into the restaurant, the atmosphere is amazing.We've tried the Japanese and American Wagyu (both 10/10, but would recommend the american because of price), the beef wellington (9/10), truffle fries (HUGE serving and lots of flavor 9/10), lobster bisque (10/10), lobster risotto (10/10), loaded baked potato (9/10), macaroni and cheese (7/10), and sticky toffee(12/10).Overall, it was an amazing experience and well worth it. The drinks were well made (2 martini's & 1 whiskey). The truffle fries were good but real salty, mac & cheese wasn't cheesy (just noodles), onion soup was thick but tasted good (a little weird), salad was yummy (loved the dressing), risotto was chewy (al dente?) but they loved the scallops, veggies with beef wellington were perfect but the beef wellington wasn't flavorful or tasty. The meat was quality, tender & cooked perfect. The toffee dessert had the best ice cream & sauce - could do without the cake (meh- I'm not a cake person so that could just be me).The look of disappointment on my daughter's face as each course was served broke my heart. It seems the "idea" of eating here was best left unknown.Oh & to top it off, we told the hostess it was her birthday since she asked what we were celebrating & as we were paying they came with a little birthday plate...for the table next to us! Attention to detail was spot-on, down to the way they walked and carried themselves with their tray in one hand and the other tucked with uniformity behind their backs. Sharon Njeri: Our server was good and attentive, frequently check in as needed to see if we were okay. The food was excellent. We choose the course meal. The arugula salad was good and I normally don't like salads. The risotto and scallops tasted amazing, but a little bit salty for my taste. The beef wellington was great and cooked perfectly. I also got Wagyu to go. They were perfectly cooked medium and tasted good a day later.

We enjoyed ourselves and I’m glad we tried it, but without the gift card I would have disappointed that we spent so much for the quality of our entrees. Even with the gift card it was a little pricey. The apps and dessert were our favorite parts, so I think it might be better for lunch or happy hour. Here is my review of each item-Service and atmosphere- 10/10. Our waiter was great and it was really cool to look out the windows and see the plaza at night. The ceiling was also beautiful.Raspberry mule- 8/10 the flavor was really good but tasted a little watery and there didn’t seem to be much alcoholLavender haze- 5/10 honestly it was ordered because of the Taylor Swift song but it had a very weird aftertaste. I don’t think the lavender flavor and alcohol mixed well. Drinkable but didn’t order a second.Shrimp kisses- 10/10 amazing. Perfect amount of chili kick, sweetness, and saltiness. Hot and delicious. Not only was it fun to break the bag, it was delicious to eat!

Not only that we enjoyed the food, food presentation, ambient of the restaurant, we truly appreciate our waiter John for introducing a good selection on the menu. He is very knowledgeable of the menu and I can tell he enjoy being there and provide a good service to everyone. We were told that the Chef always create new menu creatively. They have happy hour and you’ll get to try delicious food at a lower price. It was my first visit to the restaurant and I was very happy with all the selections. Definitely going back!
