Tad Hoffman: Our son has been seeing Marena for speech therapy at BTH for over 1 year. In that time, we've seen significant progress in his receptive and expressive language. Marena uses the Early Start Denver Model, takes detailed notes during therapy sessions, and provides frequent updates regarding our son's progress towards his goals. Our son loves to "play" with Marena and we're so thankful to have her as part of our team!

Megan McBride-DeShazo: My son has been coming since summer of 2020 and has made great progress BUT he has been through 3 therapist through them quiting this office. My son needs speech, but it's not fair to him to keep changing therapists on him.Also they won't let you cancel the appointment even if it's 24 hours or more notice, unless your child is sick (example I want to cancel the week of Christmas but was told unless my child is sick I would have to pay a cancelation fee even though I was giving them a 2 weeks notice).
Rachael Graue: I am so thankful for Northland Speech and Language Therapy, especially Nathan. My son had struggled with his R sounds and I feel that he was failed by the school system and their speech program. When we saw no improvement in his speech sounds during the 2020-2021 school year, we decided to reach out to a private speech therapist to obtain therapy over the summer. Nathan worked with my son twice a week throughout the summer, and by the time school started again in August, he was proficient at making his R sounds. As I listen to him in conversation with others, I am ever so grateful for Nathan and his work. He was friendly, and up beat and made going to speech fun and entertaining. It didn't seem like work when my son was having fun. I would definitely recommend Northland Speech and Language Therapy, LLC to anyone needing private speech therapy! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Sierra Hudson: My 20 month old had no desire to talk whatsoever. We started going to see Nathan three months ago and my now almost 2 year old is finally talking! She is up to almost 50 words and gaining new words daily (started speech therapy with barely two words). We’ve seen great progress in little time. Plus she enjoys going to speech therapy and playing with all of their fun toys!

Adriana Roman: My 2.5 year old son made a huge progress since he had started to see Nathan from Northland Speech and Language Therapy.He really enjoys going there. He is learning new sounds and words via play and he does not even realize it. The office environment is very child friendly and Nathan is a great therapist- always positive, encouraging and smiling. There’s no doubt that we will keep going there. I strongly recommend this place if you want your toddler to communicate better and have fun while doing this.

Stacy Porto: This is one of the greatest places for kids in Kansas City. The therapists are loving, kind, patient, and really make you feel part of the family. No question is ever unanswered, and my kids are literally obsessed with going. Highly recommend if you need any kind of help with your kids.
Tad Hoffman: Probably the biggest compliment we can give KC:DT is that we're willing to drive 30 minutes each way to see them! Our son has been receiving speech, occupational, and physical therapy at KC:DT for over 1 year and our family's experiences with all 3 therapists have been overwhelmingly positive! They've allowed us to be as involved in therapy sessions as we'd like, they've made themselves available to us when we've had questions, and they've always offered encouragement to our family. The most common thing we tell others about KC:DT is we're so happy that they're part of our TEAM! Our son loves the play-based therapy sessions and his therapists have given him a chance to reach his full potential (whatever that might be). We can't recommend them highly enough!

We have been with KC-DT for 2 1/2 years and after trying out ABA and other therapy around the city we found our home here with the KC-DT team. If you haven’t heard of DIR/Floortime please do some research first to find out why this different approach to therapy is preferred by Autism Acceptance groups and why it is so effective in multiple settings.The KC-DT team has been so amazing for our family. They support parent education, offer family resources, and help with your goals and your family’s needs. My children love them and enjoy spending time in speech and occupational therapy. They’ve also come so far! I cannot say enough positive things about this clinic and their kind and gentle therapy approach.

J Thompson: I cannot say enough good about Playabilities and my son's occupational therapist, Allie. We started going here because my son was having issues at his current pre-school. Allie was beyond helpful working with both us and the school to help find a way for him to be successful there. Eventually we decided that another center would be what was best for him and she has been extremely helpful and encouraging for us through his transition to the new center. She is always fast to respond and offer advice. She has also been a great sounding board for when we are frustrated or discouraged. We have nothing but good things to say about Playabilities. We will highly recommend it to anyone we know seeking this kind of assistance.

Lauren Brown: Cannot recommend Playabilities enough! They have been fantastic working with my son over the last year and a half with some gross motor delays. All of the staff are friendly and the therapists are very knowledgeable. The environment is kid friendly and I have seen kids from infants to pre-teens feel comfortable in the space and be able to work with their individual therapist without being too distracted by other things happening. We’ve worked with 2 PTs and they always address my concerns and help me (as a parent) feel heard when the concerns were brushed off by other providers. My son loves going to see his PT Vanessa and asks about going back all week. He has progressed so much and I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done for our family.

Cooking Sherry: My autistic son has had Occupational Therapy here for years. All of the therapists are very professional, helpful, and caring with the children and parents alike. He also attends summer camp here for socialization skills. They take care of all the insurance paperwork quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend their sevices.

With a new baby at home, our four year old son was acting up, and we were at a loss with how to properly parent his outbursts and behavior. The great thing about Playabilities is that they not only work with your child to meet his/her individual needs, they also work with parents so that we can take our child’s newfound behavioral skills out into the world. Anna Voelker: Warning: if you are awaiting an Autism evaluation anywhere else, you will be denied a second opinion or re-evaluation if you use this clinic. I was waitlisted at Children's Mercy Behavorial Health and found CTS while still waiting for an appointment.I paid CTS $1,000.00 and had an evaluation done for Autism. As an Autistic individual myself, I found the report entirely confusing and conflicting, and I was not the only one. My partner disagreed with the findings. Our education team pushed us for a second opinion because the report conflicts with their experience in special education and with our child.I was still waitlisted for an appointment with Children's Mercy Behavorial Health, hoping for their opinion, when - after 6 months of waiting - I was informed by their staff that, because I had him evaluated at CTS, they would not see him and they would remove him from their waitlist.I was told by Children's Mercy to request a reevaluation from CTS and CTS said they do not do that. So if you are waitlisted anywhere or may need further testing or a second opinion, don't go here.

It’s been so exciting to watch our children’s speech and language grow by learning and practicing these skills with Andrea. Andrea connected with the kids and provided a warm, fun space for our children so much so that our kids look forward to their weekly sessions, asking when they get to go back and see Ms.Andrea again! She has always been supportive and informative with us as parents and provided helpful parent education to support our children’s growth, helping them to meet their goals. We have also been able to meet other therapists, Tara (clinical director), and Betty (front desk) during this time and have found each therapist and member of the CTS team to be kind, welcoming, compassionate, experienced, and knowledgeable. Overall, CTS is wonderful and I can’t say enough amazing things about CTS! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

We travel from Southwest Kansas weekly for Ann to work with our little girl, which isn’t an easy trip, but it so worth it to see how our daughter is thriving under Ann’s care. Nicholas Meyer: We are so grateful for CTS. Since my son started speech therapy he has drastically improved on his speech and word comprehension. He is now 4.5 yrs old and has been going to speech and OT for about 9 months now (I wish we would have started sooner). He sees Ann the most and she has been amazing, he also sees Abby who is just as great! The energy they put in during the sessions is insane and the results can be seen every week. We tried other services prior to CTS and they were not able to engage my son like the staff at CTS were able to. My son also sees Regan and Katie for OT and they are also great! Erin Martin: CTS and Kelly were the answer to my prayers. I knew we were in the sweet spot age wise for our daughter to have intervention for speech and that we needed an in-person option during the pandemic. Not only did CTS have safety measures in place, but my daughter's therapy was never watered-down because of the pandemic. She thrived under the play-based program and Ms. Kelly. I am eternally grateful for CTS.

When we came to them my son only said a handful of words and he wasn’t even saying mama. Now 6 months later he’s speaking in 4 word sentences and even says several dinosaur names! I always tell people that Andrea and Abby must have some kind of magical powers because what they did with my son was incredible! We also did a few sessions of teletherapy and I was so impressed with how well they were able to keep my 2 year old’s attention for 30 minutes!I noticed at about 15 months my son wasn’t talking as much as others his age. If I could do it over again I would have started therapy sooner. I definitely recommend getting your child evaluated sooner than later, you will be so happy that you did!! I cannot recommend CTS enough, we are so grateful for them!
Brenna Bidwell: This is my happy place. My daughter began at the end of November and has made incredible growth with Ms. Abby. She has grown so much in the past 2 months. She was diagnosed with apraxia and only had about 20-30 CV words that were hard to distinguish. We had spent a year working with Infant Toddler Services and saw little growth. After 2 months with Ms. Abby her vocabulary has grown to over 100 words. She is starting to speak in simple sentences and is parroting. She sees Ms. Abby 3 times a week and we work with her at home. Ms. Abby does a great job telling us what to work on and coaching us to help our daughter grow. Ms. Abby and Children's Therapy Services has been an answer to so many of our prayers. Anum Younus: I was taking my son for therapy here. Abby was a great therapist but due to covid she had to be out of office. We wanted to be careful and take a week off after she was back in office to ensure safety. I called the office to cancel my appointment but the management was very rude and did not let me do that. Also, insisted on charging me the no show fee. I was so disappointed and tried to give them reasoning but they did not listen to me so I decided to take my business elsewhere and still paid the fee. The management was ok with receiving a one time no show fee vs my business every week, which is very sad.

Shawntell Cato: My son has been going to Zenith for a year now. He is in speech and occupation therapy. He was also in physical therapy but graduated that. Being in all 3 that are offered here we have gotten to meet all of the staff members. We absolutely love all the therapist. My son doesn't always feel like he is in the mood to go but they know how to make the kids smile and excited to learn. The office staff is also amazing and helpful. My son has come a long way learning from going here.
Aubree Dinsfriend: Head therapist seems nice, main receptionist is pretty miserable, and they started doubling my son up with another client without telling me or the parent of the other child. Apparently they can still bill you for "individual therapy" as long as it's not more than three at a time. After I confronted the receptionist about this, another parent in the waiting room said it happens frequently, but they don't have a lot of options in this area with their insurance. We're going to be checking out other practices.
Diana Wist: Took my son in for his evaluation and loved the head therapist however when our first appointment came around on 6/13 @ 5:45 we pulled in to a empty parking lot and arrived to the office being closed. No call, or reason as to why they closed early considering your website says 6:30pm. Called and left them a voicemail that day and still have yet to hear back from them. We will not be returning. Feel this was very unprofessional considering I had to take off work early to get him there.
Lela Kyle: I love this place. My therapist Rhonda is amazing and is getting me my range back in my hand. I thought it was gone for good. They are amazing with children as well. I see the patience in the way they handle the children
Kamaria Harvey: I took my toddler for speech therapy and they wouldn’t allow me to stay in the room with her during therapy. I explained that I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my toddler alone with a complete stranger, but they insisted that I wait in the waiting room. We did not finish the appointment and I took my toddler home. I do not recommend this place at all.
Jordan R: I have been bringing my daughter here for about a month or so and they have been so helpful working with her insurance so she could come! All the therapists and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, they always ask about any concerns you may have and communicate with you about your child's progress. Best of all my daughter loves coming here which I can't say about most places and looks forward to meeting with the therapists which makes me so happy and is so great! I am so happy to have found this place!
Kim Ivany: Absolutely the most incompetent staff I've ever had the misfortune to meet. Asked questions, given incorrect answers. Showed up for an appointment and the therapist wasn't even scheduled to work that day. Don't recommend.
Ash V: I just have to sing this office’s praises! They are spectacular in more ways than one. Annetta at the front desk has gone above and beyond helpful with insurance snags we have dealt with. The speech and occupational therapists are also very friendly and knowledgeable. I continue to be impressed by their services at every appointment. They are all dedicated to their patients and hardworking people here. Also very prompt. On top of all that....they are wonderful with children! They intuitively know how to connect with kids which helps things go pretty smoothly. Very grateful to know the ladies at Zenith.
Stephanie Kalthoff: When we first came to be evaluated with zenith rehabilitation, with out having any prior information, Miss Alyssa figured out the concerns we had within 20mins of talking to my child. And everything has been positive and the improvement we have seen has been amazing.
Hayden Ward: These guys are amazing! They got us in really quick to get my kids evaluated and started them on their therapy right after. My daughter had been on the waiting list for Children's Mercy speech therapy for over a year and we got in to Zenith in one week! My kids absolutely love it and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
