Millie Hanger: I popped a tire and bent my rim after a long shift at CMH and just barely made it to the shop. The man working pulled up 30 minutes before they were set to open and he got me in BEFORE they even opened. Then when he removed the tire he saw that the rim was noticeably bent. He replaced the tire and fixed the rim and I was in and out. EXCELLENT customer service and I’m so grateful I didn’t have to wait two hours for AAA. I’m suggesting this tire shop to anyone and everyone!

David Baker: My aunt was down from Iowa, and she had a blowout and already had her spare on from a previous incident a few days earlier. This was on a Saturday and a little after 7 when we got there, and they were very busy as everyone else around closed already. They got us in and sold us two decent used tires mounted and all for under $250, and I am talking full-size silverado pickup tires. I have absolutely no complaints about any service or product that we received.

Kimberlee Utecht: Emergency after a doctor's appointment, we had a blowout! Had a spare, it was flat. Luckily also had donut. Tire shops up and down linwood, but no-one had this incredibly illusive Passat tire, and if they did, they wanted as much as a brand new one, plus more to mount and balance. This place was $30 less, mounted and balanced. (Well, sort of balanced. Not right, but it got us back to our shop.) It may be a little intimidating, if you don't speak Spanish, since everyone there does, but I promise, as a secret bilingual, they are not talking trash on you :-)!Updated 3/31/23Prices here have gone up, but that's expected in this climate. They now balance so it's worth the price .More workers that speak English, but the same quick, in and out experience, and still good prices.

Joshua Stanley: Wish I could do zero stars. Brought my 2007 Escape here to get a tire repaired because I'd always heard good things about them, but personal experience Now tells me that you cannot always believe everything you hear! I ran over a road hazard, and it punctured all the way through the tread, and these guys told me it was not fixable, and a new tire would be $180 (they were $108 when I bought them less than a year ago). They ended up selling me a used tire of questionable quality for nearly $100, which I went with because I had no other choice at the time. However, though I am willing to overlook that, what I can NOT (and will not) just let slide, is the fact that 2 days later I noticed I was missing a lugnut and 2 others were finger loose. After leaving this shop. If you have another choice of shop I encourage you to go them!!! As a side note, a second opinion on the original tire said it was fixable, and it has since been fixed, but I am out the money for the overpriced used one I was sold here.

They got me a replacement and out the door in 15 mins for only like $10 more than the quote was, which IS NORMAL (that's how phone quotes work yall). They even disposed of my old tire for me. I cant thank you guys enough and Happy Valentines Day Morning.

zekar-yah echad: Used Tire City had tons of nice sets of tires with plenty of tread. also had several sets in my size which seemed difficult to find otherwise. granted the two i bought were 10 years old by the DATE CODE (embossed on sidewall of EVERY TIRE) but most will never tell you that about their tires, only about yours to get you to buy new tires from them. I've had very low mile, 10yo tires sling apart while driving. EVERY THING AGES. so, i got some fairly good, 10yo COOPER (USA MADE) tires to replace my 5yo UNIROYAL tires (don't remember origin) and get my 22yo, never on the road, Michelin spare (NOT USA made) bank underneath.. everything went mostly fine except they don't comprehend how to finesse a tire to balance without a lot of weights. i requested STATIC balance which I'm EXCELLENT at accomplishing. this is weights only on the inside edge of rim. mostly used to keep aluminium or custom wheels from getting scratched. i used to use it on f350 fleet shuttle vans that no one could get to stay balanced. the owner started requesting me to do all their tire work because the drivers commented on it.anyway, the first of my two new to me tires balanced well enough by "Jose" but, hence the 3 stars, the second was balanced by the guy wearing a purple sock on his head. he had like 7 different weights lining almost half way around my wheel. so i had to speak up. he said it took 10.5 oz to balance. Jose removed all those and mounted the wheel on the balancer again and it said 6.5 oz. still too much. knowing tires apparently better than them i requested breaking tire down again and spinning it on the rim about 90⁰ or 180⁰. which I've done many times in years past to get a better balance for a customer. they both looked at me like i was from Mars. they DIDN'T rotate tire on rim and left the 6.5. it was balanced at the moment according to the machine but we'll see if it holds. 6.5 ISN'T unheard of but it's unnecessary. the fewer and smaller weights the less likely they will sling off.

Yosh Gregory: 2023 update. I wish they balanced the tires, Vibration driving home over 60 mph. They also put the matching set of tires on the front right and back right. Then the other matching set on the front left and back left. I'm pretty sure matching tires are supposed to go on the same axle. Maybe it was an off day. Paid to get it sorted out somewhere else.Fantastic service. I was in and out in 20 min. $240 for 4 almost new Used Tires on my 4 runner mounted and balanced. Thanks guys!

Schuyler Denham: Our circumstances:Driving from the Rockies to New England and one of our tires starts losing air. Fancy car that we have, there is no spare. Our first stop is in Hays and there we are told the alloy rim has a crack and there is nothing that can be done with it to stop the leak.Solution:Pump up the tire and drive to KC, Missouri before it gets too low; once in KC buy a rim and swap it out. Finding the rim was not hard (thank you internet and giant salvage yard) but we found ourselves pressed for time as it was getting late and tire shops were closing and we needed to both change out the rim and return to the salvage yard to surrender our cracked wheel for the core deposit.Our savior:Used Tire City! Literally two blocks away. With no appointment and close to closing, they hopped right on the job - wheel and tire off and separated; TPMS removed, put on new rim and adjusted; tire mounted; wheel back on car; and lugs tightened to spec - all in less than 16 minutes from walking in the door to driving off the lot. Total charge $25. So, of course we tipped them.Professional, efficient, prompt and reasonably priced.

Dustin Lloyd: I called to see if they had my tires in stock. I got a new/used car in November 2022 and the tread was already really low. With it being winter, I didn’t want to take any chances. When you slide on wet roads, you know it’s that time. I was able to get 4 identical tires practically brand new for a fraction of the price of a dealership or any other tire shop. The guys worked hard and fast to provide the best service. Everyone was friendly and professional. I highly recommend coming here if you need 1-4 tires at a very good price!

Alicia cress: Looked everywhere for used tires and everyone was so high. I don't work I have no income and when I do have a cleaning job I don't make much money so it was very important for me to find tires that were good but reasonably priced. They had two BF Goodrich tires and when they were putting them on as I watched them effortlessly take the tires off with their machines and then put the other tires on I could have sworn they were putting on brand new tires. I almost told them hold on are those new I asked for used. Let me tell you they put them on my car and I could not be happier. I was so stressed out and worried that I was going to get something that was not good because I can't afford brand new. The tread looks new. This is the place you want to go if you're looking for great tires at a great price. I will tell you for the tires I needed which were 205/16 it cost me $137 and that was for everything including tire disposal. Plus, I was in and out in under 20 minutes. When I can afford new tires I will definitely be back. Thank you for being so quick and kind.

B A: Hands down go here. Called 3 other tire shops only to find a man with an attitude on the other end of the phone. Upon calling A-1, I got a warm greeting and told to bring my Bronco in as soon as I could on a late Sunday morning. He had me in and out within 20 mins repairing my tire that had a nail in the tread. Staff was friendly and polite and I left fixed and only $20 lighter. I will be back anytime I need tires with no doubt. Support local small businesses instead of giving your hard earned dollars to chains that employ arrogant nasty people who clearly shouldn’t be in the service industry. A-1 is where it’s at.

Sandra Starkey: I can't say enough good things about this business. I got word that a cousin of mine had passed away on Saturday last. I emailed that I would be there on the following Friday for a visitation, funeral in Columbia, MO. I have been without a spare tire for a few weeks and realized I did not want to drive to Columbia from KC without a spare. I called Robo's Wheels and Tires to see if they had a tire and wheel. They had the tire, but not the wheel. They suggested a salvage yard for the wheel. I called several before I finally found one that had a wheel. Robo's Wheels and Tires told me I could come that day with the wheel and they would put their tire on the wheel. I went there, didn't wait more than maybe 15 minutes and I was on my way. They were SO busy but managed to fit me in. Everyone was treated with respect and consideration. I want everyone to know that good customer service is alive and well at Robo's Wheels, Tires and Hubcaps. Thank you SO much!!!
