Missouri Sewing Machine Co: what do users think?
CLAUDIA DUFF: It was the most enjoyable buying experience I have ever had! Jamie at the KC downtown center was amazing. She explained all the things to me. Sat with me while I test drove one feature after another. I absolutely loved working with her on this purchase. I went into the store with lots of questions and I walked out with a beautiful machine that will meet all of my needs.
Stephen Person: Very helpful and friendly people here!
Cindy Miller: We moved from St Louis to Kansas City. We dismantled & reassembled my long arm quilting machine. And sadly, it wasn't quite right. One call to Jeff, and he came out, fixed our problem, leveled my machine, and has me humming again! Jeff was efficient, friendly & knowledgeable about my Babylock longarm!
Sharon Wuthnow: The staff is helpful and friendly. Great explanation of each machine. Definitely glad I went there instead of buying online.
Sharla Riead: I was in a panic. Sewing for my daughter's wedding when my machine stopped working and jamming and messing up. I chose to go to Missouri Sewing Machine Co because they have been operating in Kansas City forever and I needed someone with experience. They immediately ran my machine through is paces, looked at the examples I brought in of what was happening, and determined that I was just using the wrong thread weight and needle for the buttonholes I was attempting to make. They helped me determine the correct size needle and thread and I was back in business! I am so grateful that they not only helped me, but didn't make me feel dumb, even though it was operator error. They treated me with respect and could not have been nicer! I will be bringing my machine back for a complete clean and tune up after the wedding.
aivilO: Such a cool place to visit, everyone was so nice and helpful!
Nicole Smith: Very knowledgeable, helpful , and reasonably priced.
Amy Chapman: I'll change this review if something changes but I need a commerical machine serviced and I talked to Jeff today. He was a complete jerk to me. I was told to call and tell him what day I was coming. I called and said Friday and was told he cannot do Fridays due to being out servicing other machines. Ok, so I asked what day. He said Saturday. Unfortunately I cannot do Saturdays. When I said that, there was nothing but silence on the phone. I then said, ok what other day. He said you tell me. Well clearly there are days he can't do, I don't magically know his schedule.I used to love this place, but will now be looking elsewhere if this is how they are going to treat a long time customer.
Scott Guthrie: I had the good fortune to meet Kelsey who not only sold me the thread and seam ripper I was looking for, but turned me over to Mark when I mentioned I was having tension issues with my machine. Mark took one look at it and saw the missing pin behind the tensioner. Within minutes he had a replacement in and I was off and running! Because of this kindness I was able to finish sewing curtains with a friend nursing a newborn baby and meet with a neighbor to show her how to correctly manage tension on her machine. Missouri Sewing Machine company showed me kindness, shared knowledge, sold me the things I needed, made a great repair on my machine and all for real value! Good service, kindness and compassion for strangers is always a winning combination! Love runs down hill and brings joy to all! Thank you both!!
Justin Colvin: 100% an absolute treasure! This store is worth its weight in gold! We drive across the state with a smile on our face to see them!!
Lillian Uding: Just purchased a machine for my upholstery business. Curt was very helpful answering any questions and demonstrating how to upkeep the machine. The ladies working were very helpful and friendly as well. Would definitely recommend for all your sewing needs!
Michael Squires: Dropped off a surger for service.
Daniel Green: Nice people, a whole lot of options for sewing machines and repair
Angela Marie: This is a cool shop... conveniently located near many busy and highly traveled streets in the heart of KC...ample and properly engineered parking lot, not far from gas, food, or lodging.
Anna Hawley: Wonderful staff. The gentleman there helped walk me through a older machine and it's parts so that I could work on a new project. Great service!
Sherry A: We ONLY SHOP this BUSINESS for our NEEDS ! Because we Get Honesty answers and Great Prices, and The Best Service in Missouri ! Love the showroom and People who Work here ! Thanks for Your help ! Sending Friends here !Ask me how I know they are the Best ? I dealt with a Supposed Good Repair shop in Springfield and they messed it up worse and charged me Over $100 !I Drove to KC From the Branson Area and Found out it was Repairable after the other place said it couldn't be Fixed ! Faster Service too ! Other place just wanted to sell me a Machine I couldn't afford at the Time ! Missouri Sewing Machine Company: what do users think?
Kara Reiff: Wonderful ladies! Very knowledgeable and always there to help you and teach you.
Watermelon Soup (Lio): they said my repair would take six weeks. They had my sewing machine for a full FIVE MONTHS and never even began repairs. i was without my only source of income for half a year and i am still without it because they never even started to fix my machine, i am beyond angry
Jan Jasper: Customer service was outstanding. The amount of time the were willing to send with me to see that all my questions were answered. They were very knowledgeable.
Alice Renollet: Best place for new sewing machine or repair of old ones. Lots of seeing notions & not just the usual ones. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable
Connie Kelsey: Very helpful and love my new Janome 5300 QDC!
Shirley L Bonkoski: I drove 40 minutes to have someone put a light bulb in my Bernnia. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The lady was so rude. I was going to shop, it decided to go to Joanns. Don’t waste your time.
Cherron Clevenger: Good place to shop
Samantha Priddy: My machine is running like new! Great work and service, worth the wait for repairs. Great selection of sewing machines and super helpful staff.
Tim Thomas: Very helpful staff, very knowledgeable about sewing machines and sergers along with other sewing equipment.
Mom by Love Robart: Great service. They enjoy what they do and are very knowledgeable. They can send out even the oldest machines and bring them back working like new, for a price. I've been using them to service my serger and my straight stitch for 20 years.
Teresa Dearman: I took my husqvarna opal in for service and the lady got it back in alignment without sending it off..for a 8 week turn around.. So very Grateful!! With the pandemic going on it has brought all sewers out and people needing their machines serviced and taking So Long for turn around!!Thank you So Much for helping me!! This is where I will be purchasing my next machine and custom koala sewing table!! 😊💗
Shelly Frazier: Great friendly, knowledgeable service
Eve Hayes: The older lady in the store had a very bad attitude snapping snapping at her employee not really wanting to help just want to sell regardless of what was wrong with my machine she just wanted to sell
Charlie Fischer: Great stock on sewing needs
Gary Ford: Only place I'll let work on any of our sewing machines.
Glenda McEnaney: Knowledgeable staff. Caring and respect for older machine and of elderly owners who still use the older machines! A great appreciation for an art going lost. So sad, but this compa6keeps us old die hard still up and sewing! Great staff, professional and ....well, just practley perfect in every way! Great job guys!Oh, and I've got my favorite machine that needs a bit of help that I'll be bringing in soon. I know you can fix her! Thanks and see you soon.
Baiju john: Having been there for adjusting the dress sizes.
Brent Milam: Highly disappointed!! They say they work on all models?? Well, they don’t!! Then, when you drop off your machine with them they never call you back! They sent my machine out to a third party, charged me $900 to have it come back with new stickers, new throat plate, new thread guard, and not repaired!! It didn’t run and stitch regulator didn’t work.Needless to say, they refunded me the $900 after returning down there taking my machine back to them 5 times. The last visit was at my house after we picked it up and it still wasn’t working!! They actually left my machine in PIECES!! That’s when I complained to the owner and was compensated!I leave the choice up to you whether to trust their competence or not!! I’m not comfortable to return for service with any of my machines!!Update: This is a Voyager 17 long arm that was made by Hinterburg in Cedarburg Wisconsin!! Look them up on the internet!! NOT FRANKENSTEINED as they want to say!
lorrie sparks: Everytime I go, the service is beyond awesome. They share they're knowledge and experitise. Friendly and truly want you to enjoy your sewing experience.
Sandee Salisbury: Service was poor and unfriendly
Heather S.: Very impressed with the service here. They diagnosed an old machine and gave me a quote, sharpened pinking shears for me, and every time I've called with a question they've been very helpful. Will be bringing my newer machine in for service from now on,

Sew Easy Sewing Center: what do users think?
darrell kramer: My wife is an avid seamstress and loves the service and treatment she receives on her serger and sewing machines. She won't let me go anywhere else. 5 stars
Thomas Robb: Fixed and provided maintenance with a 10 day wait. Fair price, friendly service.
Patty Jensen: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueJ.L. worked on 2 brother sewing machines. One was a refurbishing (brother 3600d) and he did awesome work at very reasonable pricing. He also has a fabulous assortment of high end machine embroidery thread. I will most definitely be back for any future sewing needs!
Tammy Hall: Highly recommended! What a breath of fresh air! I called before I went to get an estimate on diagnosis the problem & to see what the time frame was for fixing. The ownere said he'd like to look at it first & talk about the issue with me before giving a me estimate. This is my 4th attempt at resolving a tension issue (typcially an eaiser fix, but another co "fixed it" & after taking it back 2 times, wanted to charge me more) In less than 15 mins, the owner immediately said, it's the thread you are using..... too grainy. Didn't charge a thing to look at the machine! I bought some thread & felt pads, would have been happy to pay something for his time. It was a blessing to know my machine wouldn't be in the shop for 2 wks. I found my new place for repairs!
Wendy Allen: The owner of this sewing machine repair shop is one of the most honest and trustworthy businessmen I’ve ever dealt with. He assesses the problem and gives a fair quote to fix it. He could easily take advantage of people who don’t know what they’re faced with when their machine doesn’t work-but he doesn’t. Yesterday he took less than 10 minutes to diagnose and fix my tension problem. It was just the thread! I bought 4 spools of thread from him and he didn’t charge me for the easy fix. I would highly recommend him to anyone has a sewing machine that isn’t running the way it should.
J. Elizabeth Brakhage: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI got a belt and needles for my treadle sewing machine.
Rachel McGonagle: My sewing machine tension was all tangled up and I could not get it fixed - called around, and everyone was 4 -6 weeks out to even look at it. I am new to sewing , and wanted to keep going. Found Sew Easy online and called - the guy said repairs were about 10 days out - so I went there right away. the owner told me to take a seat and he went ahead and checked it out. He educated me on thread, my wrong bobbin size, and went ahead and adjusted the machine to work perfectly while I waited. I walked out 15 minutes later, smarter and ready to get right back on my project!! I am thrilled!! He knows the machines, knows how to explain the problems, and kind enough to take the time to help me out. He even gave me the name of a place to take classes.
Alice Schimmel: I love love love this little shop. I drive over 100 miles to shop there. Purchased my new PR 1055x from this amazing shop. Their customer service is TOP notch. Since I live so far away over the phone assistance is a plus. Best service ever! Thank you all for taking care of all my needs.
Ricky Alan: I found Sew Easy on Google maps and they were close by so decided to try them for trouble with my Brother Sewing machine tension. The owner was very friendly and indicated it was likely the thread I was using. He sewed a small strip with my machine using the same thread and then changed to a better brand of thread and I could clearly see a difference. I purchased new thread from him (he stated the other would be fine for hand sewing). He charged only for the thread and not the time he took to demonstrate. I was very impressed with his service and will go there if I have any sewing needs. I highly recommend trying his shop.
Julie Fitzgerald: Positive:ProfessionalismI have had two of my machines in for repair. Usually JL can diagnose the problem while you wait and can usually fix it while you wait. My serger works like brand new and he keeps my embroidery machine humming along.
Stephanie Klee: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueHe looked at my embroidery machine and was quick to diagnose the problem, fixed it while I waited and watched. Gave me some tips and tricks to make it perform better, and sent me on my way.
Val Kestner: Positive:Professionalism,QualityVery kind and helpful fixing my sewing machine. It ended up being a minor issue that was fixed very quickly. I would highly recommend to anyone!
Allie Thibodeaux: The people here are so helpful! My Brother pe800 was giving error codes, so I took it to Sew Easy Sewing Center on a Monday and it was fixed by Friday morning! Very reasonable pricing and very good customer service. Thank you!!
Anastasia Atwater: Positive:Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueCalled around to a few shops to get my sewing machine serviced and everyone else was backed up for a month. They were able to get my machine done in 3 days and even showed me a few things on my machine I didn’t know about. Will definitely be returning!
Sorrel Fox: Love this place. Not only did they respect my willingness to try repairs myself (offered to sell me the part if I wanted), they also warned me of other issues on the machine that might come up. And on top of getting the repair done quickly, they straightened the thread guide out for free once they realized it was also damaged.Definitely will be doing all my sewing machine maintenance here from now on.
Debbie Stanton: Very helpful and knowledgeable about sewing machines.
Mabel Morton: Positive:Professionalism
Cindy Riggs: Work completed by owner’s son = Five Stars.Customer service by owner = Zero Stars.Specials offered by store = Get it in writing!
Shirley Houston: Great place to shop for Singer products! Good customer service.
Lisa George: I purchased my serger several years back. Staff was very helpful, and I loved taking classes from them. They helped me learn to use my machine.
Teresa Daniels: The gentleman who owns this business is honest and guarantees his work. I would recommend his shop over any others in the area

Windmill Sewing Center: what do users think?
Judy Danz: Great shop. Great service!
Pam Parker: I have had them repair and clean my machines several times always excellent service and reliable they really do know what their doing would never take my bernina anywhere else. I give this business 10 stars and above.
Sheryl Lear: Friendly, well run and good selection.
Cherry M: Fanatic staff! Thank you Courtney-your the best
Linda Palmer: I am beyond thrilled with my Bernia 930 after you repaired and adjusted it. I bought it in the mid 80s when it was the newest version out. I was told by another repairman it was not fixable, so you can imagine delight at having it in better condition than it has been for years. Thank you for your curtiouss and professional service.
Brandie Dennis: They are so nice. They fixed my machine and didn't change me cuz it was the needle and they fix it for me no problem so nice.
Sharon Kreun Schakel: This shop is the only one left in KC and they do not understand customer service or how to restore confidence in their repair work. I have had on going issues with a newer 710 machine. The blame is put on it being a computer, having electrical power issues, or user error. All of which might be a cause for issues but when the touch screen doesn't work, it isn't user error. Instead of explaining that they now have good tech people who can fix the problems, the issues are avoided and the potential cost is left unanswered. Very disappointed since I would like to support my local store but will go to Topeka for service now.Their supply of feet was limited also. The annual sale of 25% off throughout December left them unprepared, so the foot I wanted wasn't available without special ordering plus shipping costs.
Amber Coffey: Since the new owners took over Windmill Sewing Center I’ve experienced nothing but excellence in customer service. They do whatever is needed to make my personal experience with them just that personal. They are knowledgeable and strive to meet / exceed my expectations each time I interact with any of their staff members. From the owners Joan and Robert to the manager Joel all the way down to Julie and Michelle their associates I have never had a negative experience and encourage anyone needing a sewing / embroidery dealer, service for an existing machine or looking to attend a class on a machine or making of a project don’t hesitate to check them out.
Sae Tounzen: Excellent sewing machine repair! I took my Bernina machine to another shop for its yearly oiling & cleaning, and they completely messed it up. After 3 months and taking it back to them three times they admitted that they had no idea how to fix it & said I needed to take it to a specialist. I took it to Windmill, and they were so nice and helpful - and best of all, they were able to fix the damage the other shop had done! They really went the extra mile, and I can't recommend them enough! You can tell that they really know what they're doing and that your machine will be in good hands with them.
Mary Reinert: I took my machine in because I thought I it wasn’t working. Someone checked it quickly and found “owner error”. I wouldn’t have known the difference if they had kept it and charged me. Honest friendly people.
Stephanie Ward: EXCELLENT SERVICE!! I am so happy with my experience. My Bernina had an issue last night so I called Windmill first thing this morning to see what I needed to do to get it fixed as quickly as possible. I took advantage of their rapid repair, dropped off my machine at lunch, then picked it up before they closed the same day! WOW!! My Bernina is back home and working beautifully. Oh and not to mention that they offered to stay late if I could not make it before closing time. Thank you for everything!!! You made my day!
Nancy Lamar: Always a pleasant experience. So helpful and friendly
Crystal Bridgman: I just received a phone call from Dana. She called to check on me. Thank you so much for all you do. I really enjoy coming to the store and taking classes. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness in calling me.
Miranda West: Everyone went out of their way for me. Very friendly. Helped me make my decision to bring my first Bernini home. Thanks again!!
Violet Rogers: Just purchased embroidery/sewing machine and Diane and Dana were wonderful and so helpful!!!
Raven Mcvay: Amazing Garments has really Amazing people!!
Danny Spencer: Absolutely horrible customer service! Will never go back. Demonstrated by the response below. Although you have been in business for 45 years, you will not make it another 45 years if you treat your customers poorly and do not stand behind your product and warranty. Placing blame on the customer is the wrong way to run a business.
Denise Bane: So helpful and knowledgeable. Will let you try out the machine before you buy it and are there to support you even after your purchase.
Jennifer S (Jen): Always so helpful and kind in the Bernina store!
Lauren Neyman: This business completely scammed me out of $140. I brought in my serger and paid in full $139. And change and left because I was told it was fixed. Over the past FIVE months I’ve had to bring the machine back SIX times because I continue to leave with a broken machine. I’ve never once brought it home working. They have told me I will not be given a reimbursement nor will they fix the machine without charging me again. I’m currently filing a complaint for being scammed with the BBB. My family have been customers of bernina sewing center for 3 generations but NO MORE. They are rude and extremely unsympathetic for their own mistakes and take no responsibility. They stole from us and now I have to go somewhere else and pay for it to finally get properly fixed. Go anywhere else!!!
Liz Kumar: The staff is always so helpful and the shop is full of inspirations of how to use your machine.

Missouri Sewing Machine Company: what do users think?
Shirley Barrand: I drove in from Lawrence arrived at 4:30 and the business was not open and I couldn’t even find out by phone because they wouldn’t nobody would answer the phone.Thank you for your response. It wasn't Saturday when I arrived, it was a weekday. A Wednesday or Thursday as I recall. I was shocked, but all is forgiven now, and I WILL return. I know how (ahem!) STUFF can happen in this crazy world!! LOL!!! ;-)
Dilda Curtis: Took my sewing machine in because of a problem with the bobbin area. The technician was able to fix it while I waited. The two young ladies who waited on me were very kind and helpful! I loved this shop and was so happy I went there with my machine.
Dan Assal: They are the best in the industry
Tammy Hall: Beware! I took my sewing machine in to get serviced in January, they said it should be done in 4 wks. After 6 wks I called & they said it would be ready for pick up the following week. I was excited to get started on my new grands quilt! After a couple of weeks I started sewing with the machine & noticed a 1.5" scuff mark on the front, as if it was hit, dropped, something. I called to let the manager know, there wasn't anything they could do. At that time it seemed to be sewing correctly. Sure enough, after I told her it was sewing properly the bottom tension was off (part of the problem in the beginning & they replaced the bobbin part). I did call back to let them know I'd be bringing it in for them to look at it. When I took the machine back in, the manager played with the tension & was able to get the tension correct. After sewing an hour, the tension was off again. I took it back in .... 3rd times a charm right?!? Since it was over 30 days, the manager was going to charge me! I was shocked.... especially since something happened the first time I brought it in. I get the 30 day policy, but when the store damaged the machine to begin with.... you'd think they'd comp the additional fee & make it right.
Ranae Martin: I had to order a new power cord for my machine. I called the number for the Lenexa location. The staff person that answered was extremely helpful and took my order. A few days later, I had my machine running again!
Linda Risley: I had my sewing machine fall apart and the representative from the store that took my call looked up the schematic and guided me thru the process to fix my machine over the phone! I will give all my business to this company in the future!!
Cheroquirose Designs: Bought my Janome there & love it. On-site staff helpful with problems & questions....Definitely recommend.
Cheryl Baker: Have been going here for years. They are so helpful.
Karyn Maytorena: Problem fixed over the phone. I can't express my gratitude enough. I know without a doubt I can count on MSMC to help me out long after my purchase. Thank you Emily, Jamie, and everyone at both locations. Making a note in my manual so this doesn't happen again.
Pamela Poag: Fixed my Janome quickly and reasonably. Helpful 1 on 1 classes was great. People were helpful and friendly
Kathy McCullough: Really regretting my purchase. Purchased a machine and rolling case. Had to order the case as I didn't want the floor model. Was told it would take 3-4 days. After 3 weeks I called. They said they'd check on it, called the next day said it was in. I pick it up and when I get it home it was the floor model they gave me. They did make it right on the case. Was told when I bought the machine the classes would start back up in a couple weeks. I purchased the machine 2 months ago and have heard nothing on the classes. I also purchased the protection plan. So they have my money and I guess that's what matters to them and what they said about providing classes isn't a priority of honoring what they told me. Very disappointed in this company
Diane Mckoon: Very wonderful service, great staff very knowledgeable, WILL NOT take or buy sewing machines from Any other place! Love this place!
Dianne Patterson: Never answered my email about products in their store and sale info. I've upgraded my review. After this was seen they found my email, answered my questions and offered personal assistance when I do get to the store.
Maureen Goddard: I took in a very old machine to see if it could be cleaned/fixed. Cris took time to explain that, unless this was an heirloom that I was trying to restore, my money would be better spent towards a newer machine rather than one that's 80 years old. I appreciated her candor and her willingness to educate me. It cost me nothing. I appreciate that she took the time and saved me the 85.00 cleaning fee. Will go back for future needs.
Jenny Chonko: Very helpful, thanks gals!
monty amick: Awesome friendly helpful people!
Eileen McGee: Marsha was very helpful and demonstrated a machine that I was interested in but was uncertain about operating since it was definitely an upgrade to the machine I have been using. I am pleased with my experience and purchase.
Bianca Hines: They tuned my sewing machine but lost the spool holder. My machine is a 45 years old machine and had the original parts. Make sure to remove attachments you want to keep before submitting your machine for repair.
Kirsten M. Phillips: I can find what I need for my sewing here.
Kathy Anderson: Great products, great service!
Stephanie Fugitt: Very nice & knowledgeable ladies!

Viking Sewing Gallery: what do users think?
Carol Everley: Mary is wonderful as a trainer. She and Charlie make embroidery to learn. Would recomend them any day.
Jaryn Lloyd: Charlie is very helpful in any questions I had!
Laura Aragon: I requested for my machine to be cleaned, not repaired. I was asked to bring the machine by a certain day, then told it would take at least 3 weeks to have the machine back. It has now been 4 weeks. I do not have access to go and pick my machine up and have to wait. Someone comes to the store with the machines 'every 10 days'.While I understand there is a high demand at this time, if there is no time to clean my machine, I would have preferred for it to not be taken and sat on a shelf for a month. I requested the cleaning because I use my machine daily. Also I had no idea it would cost $163 for a cleaning. Maybe this is the standard cost, but it seemed exceptionally high.I cancelled the cleaning probably with the same amount of time to get it back with the service requested. But I'm so disappointed with the service I would rather pay someone else.
Cindy Latimer: Customer service at this location is lacking. Person that works there doesn’t seem to want to be there. Today (Sunday) I went to pick up my machine that had gone out for repairs and no one was there despite it being with-in posted hours. The machines were powered on like they were open but when a Joanns associate went to find someone, she came back and said that there was no one and the store would not be open at all today.
Jack Ryan: Great selection of top quality sewing machines and assessories! The customer service is second to none and Lisa is the best. She took the time and interest in my wife's sewing needs. We were pleased to buy a Husqvarna Viking sewing machine from her and have not regretted it.

Kara Reiff: Love the sales team!! And my first sewing machine!!
Fran Manning: Great staff
Eric Hargis: Awesome place to do business at. Great family owned business. Always very helpful and friendly.
Jackie A: Very helpful!💕
Michael Bennett: Warranty work completed quickly by friendly people.
B Wade: A bit pricey. Spouse had a thread cutting blade replaced on an embroidery machine. Part was 1.08 fee to change 80.00.
Ray Emert: Great customer service. Everyone is helpful.
Glenda Anderson: It was great the clerk found the attachment I needed for my sewing machine I'm very happy going to retreat tomorrow
laura K: If you want to shop from people that are friendly and knowledgeable go here.
Sophia Newman: Even though I made it clear I was not in the shop to buy today but am looking for later when I save some money, the ladies were very helpful, informative, attentive, and wonderfully pleasant! They treated me as though I was valued. When I am in a spot to purchase my next machine I will be going through them!
Hailey Sipes: I had a great experience buying a new machine here. Sherrie assisted me. She asked what type of sewing I do and showed me machines in my budget. She pointed out which of their features were different and which would be helpful for me specifically. She even walked the new machine out to my car for me.
Madison Durham: I had my weird sewing machine (a Shark by Euro-Pro) serviced here and had a great experience! Because everyone is picking up new hobbies now, the waitlist for repairs was quite a while (7 weeks when I dropped mine off) but it was only 4 weeks before we got the call to pick it up! It's working great now and I am happy that I chose to fix it there; Now I know of a great local place to buy supplies from rather than the big box stores!
Teresa Vohsen: I went to get my sewing machine fixed and after a cost analysis, it was cheaper to get anew machine and the staff was so helpful to get me what I needed!
Debi Jackson: Theresa was absolutely wonderful. Bought a new machine. Over the top customer service!!!
Dr. David Knox: Wonderful place to find a machine that will do the job. Experienced sales persons who know the machines and brands.
Erica Rainae: They said they had prewound 90wt. But i got 60wt sold at a huge price. Not happy
Dianna Smith: Great customer care. Nice store. Great selection of sewing machines. Talented repairman
C Ditton: Ruth is really nice. They accommodated my need for no contact due to COVID-19 and came out to get my machine from the car and the same for picking up the machine.
Rick George: Very friendly and accommodating! Patient with customers to answer their questions!

Harper's Fabric & Quilt Co: what do users think?
Taylor Westfall: Took a hand embroidery class with Jackie and absolutely loved it! The shop is adorable and the class was affordable and informative. Will definitely return.
Lucy Hoffman: This store has some cute fabric! I’m giving it a below average rating because I feel like the service is poor. When I was younger, I took a sewing class and the instructor was very… cold and nit-picky. If you have a beginner wanting to learn, I feel like the classes would turn them off from ever learning. Maybe they’re better for people who already know how to quilt and just want to meet people? Anyways, I returned recently to browse and wasn’t greeted at all. When I went to the counter to ask a question about a machine, the lady was short and condescending. I’m disappointed because I love how warm the sewing community usually is, and I love to shop small, but Harper’s leaves me wanting to run to JoAnns instead.
Debbie Stanton: They had replacement bobbins and needles that I wasn't able to get where I get my machine fixed. Glad to know I have somewhere else to get my sewing machine accessories.
Alycia Maurer: They maintenanced my Viking sewing machine at a very reasonable cost and with quality workmanship. I love to buy fabric and notions for my Viking machines there. Looking at taking a class!
Kortney Mettle: This is a great shop and I really enjoyed the class I took. You can tell, they know their customers and community very well, everyone that came in was treated as family. The selection of fabrics, is fantastic, they seem to have something for everyone and are willing to lend a hand as needed.Happy to take more classes soon!
Kastian “Kas” Slayton: Good but pricey
Richard VanDyke: Large inventory of everything wanted and exceptional staff.
Pat Vaughn: Good variety of fabric and patterns
rrw jes: I have shopped and learned at Harper’s for 25 years and love this gem of a shop. I feel inspired the moment I walk in the door by the proliferation of color, art, and imagination! The knowledgeable instructors have helped me improve my construction techniques so my garments fit perfectly and my fabric creations look beautiful. They carry some whimsical fabrics I haven’t seen elsewhere. Elaine taught me the secret to interfacing and stocks unique products I didn’t know I needed until I used them. I feel at home here among the sewists.
Audrey Martin: Beautiful shop, friendly people working I loved to variety
Claudia Tang: Great! Super friendly, a big store with lots of space to spread out. Very clean and bright. Fat quarters are displayed right next to their line/similar lines. I went to pick up a print that I saw on their Facebook page, and I honestly thought it would be more expensive than it was. Maybe I'm used to much more expensive independent quilt shops, or markups for brand names (this was moda), or who knows. Also easy to get to and walk around. There's easy parking nearby. Will come again, will probably take a class and get my machine serviced here and my scissors sharpened. One thing-they don't take American Express. This is pretty common so I'm not gonna count it against them, it's just something to know, if that's what you have.
Erica Rainae: Simple easy fast
Suzanne Maschler: I moved here from Oregon, where I had an outstanding Husqvarna machine dealer. Returning to Kansas, I struggled to find someone who knew anything about my machine. Yes, Joanns knew a little....but were hard to deal with and Missouri Sewing machine was very accomodating, but again...knew little about my machine. So happy to find Harpers! They are very knowledgeable and accommodating. whew!
Kim Gerber: I love this place! This quilt shop makes me happy. I visit the shop typically once a week, check out the latest fabrics. Last Sunday's visit, there were plenty of quilts displayed on the walls, along with beautiful fabric choices, as we move into the new year. I was a bit confused trying to pick a fabric for my class. I was helped so well, as she helped me choose a few fabrics that would look nice together. Caring and thoughtful. I have taken Friday studio classes , a big stitch hand sewing class, currently taking in a Little Jo quilt class, an all day beginner sewing class, a paper piecing mini quilt class. All instructors are hugely helpful, encouraging, and know their craft well. I have a 1965 Singer sewing machine that needs a tune up every so often. Harper's keeps my Noni's sewing machine in tip top shape. My sewing machine is cast iron. Weighs a ton. I am able to call ahead, borrow a sewing machine to use for a class. During the summer time, I enjoy seeing all the young people taking summer sewing classes, creating fun projects. It is not always easy to be a small business, local owner, trying to do their best to serve their patrons well. Most appreciated and thank you!
Rose Barrow: Great shop. Wide open and loaded with fabric, notions and machines. The sewing classroom was awesome. Highly recommend.
Lynn Liikala-Seymore: Always motivating. Staff are genuinely helpful.
Gayle Morris: Wife and daughter took class and please with teacher ,Mary. Very knowledgeable and patience with beginners.
Karla DeLoach: I like the layout of the store. But both times that I have been there the reception has been lacking. I would recommend for the actual products they have but the customer service was rude enough that I will go to the other store's. I shop quilt/fabric stores all over the country, so I'll be fine looking for products.
Denise Murphy: If you want to quilt or take quilting lessons, this is the place to go. They have wonderful classes and their inventory of fabric is unbelievably vast. Steak it new patterns, new Fabrics, new books all the time. So there's always something new to look at, or, TO BUY! Very knowledgeable people and very friendly.
Dianne Kester: Very nice shop with lots of beautiful fabric. But l walked no one to welcome me, I wandered around for about 5 min. No one ever came to the front. This was my first time in the store customer service very bad. I finally had to go to the rear of store to find help. Too bad. It is very good selection of fabric.
Jessie Mehl: I like the many projects they put on display. It's not a huge shop, but they have a good assortment of fabric and quilting items.
