Once I walked in the door however I knew I was in the right place for not only ‘my brand’ but for a multitude of choices in aerobic and weight training options. My purchase went smoothly, and was a great price compared to other locations. I chose to pickup (since I live so far away) and that process went perfectly as well. I highly recommend P3 for any fitness need.

I have a smaller head size and I'm a little picky on some of my gear.I used to have a friend who helped the owner, Bob, run the store. Walking in after not being in KC for the last 6 years.. it was like walking back into a familiar shop you could sit around and talk sports before the wife calls you to get back home.Staff seems a little new, but too be expected with the holiday season coming up. They are still just as friendly as they were in 2015.I tried to beat Bob up over the helmet price. He was very stuck on it. After going back and doing some more research, I came to the conclusion the extra 30 bucks I'd spend with a small business would be worth the comfort of knowing I got a quality product. I found a few cheaper on marketplace, but no one seemed to have any answered when I asked them about condition and use.I actually sent my friend back up to grab the lid for me. Bob helped her find it, made sure she was taken care of and even brightened up her day with a joke.If you haven't been in, make the trip, even if you don't find anything it's worth the time to just relive your past glory.

Andrew Hebert: We had a horrible experience with a NordicTrak we bought on Amazon and eventually returned, so we did research on Reddit and found Eric there. I was thoroughly impressed with his low (really no) pressure advice he gave, in fact he offered options at multiple price points we provided and recommended that he would be happy himself with all of the options no matter the price. We don't live in Kansas City, but he did great identifying a local installer and was in constant contact throughout the installation process. I would highly recommend Eric for any of your fitness equipment needs whether you live in Kansas City or elsewhere, even if you're just looking for no-nonsense advice. Thanks again Eric for your honesty, integrity, and excellent customer service!

Jason G: I reached out to Simple Fitness to get some more information on a purchase of a treadmill. They were very informative and gave me several options of equipment that I could purchase from them directly with the ability to save about 30% versus going directly thru the manufacturers website. In conjunction of the discount, I didn't have to pay sales tax either which is almost 10% where I live. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for some exercise equipment, you reach out and have a conversation! Worst case scenario is you get some free information.

Salaj Ariana: My Husband and I initially visited the Leawood Store New Year’s weekend. During our visit we were told by a gentleman that the promotion they had on the bike was around $1200, it included a set of weights, one pair of shoes and the mat. We informed the gentlemen that we would go home and think about it and call back in when we are ready to make the purchase.On January 8th my husband called into the store to make sure the promotion was still on. The store clerk who answered stated that the promotion was good until the 12th. He informed the representative he would call back in a hr. because he wanted to decide on whether to pay outright or use the peloton finance option. When he called back, he spoke with Ms. Rebecca she told my husband that promotion ended on the 7th and not the 12th as he was previously told. She informed my husband a manager would contact him to discuss the option to honoring the deal.When we didn’t receive a phone call from the supervisor by close of business on January 8th, my husband made multiple attempts on the 9th of January to contact the store. However, no one answered or returned his call. On January 10th prior to my call to the store, my husband made a few attempts and didn’t get an answer. During my conversation with the supervisor, I informed him of my dissatisfaction for the run around displayed by the peloton representatives. I also shared my opinion that it seemed like the store was avoiding my husband’s call to take ownership in their actions. Immediately after sharing my opinion on the manner Rob or Robert became defensive, and began raising his voice at me and telling me I am a liar and that I simply called into argue and debateI informed him several times that wasn’t my intent; however, he proceeded to over talk me and yell the entire time on the phone. After listening to him continuously yell, I asked to speak to his supervisor by phone and or email. At that point he stated, he did not have an email or phone number for me to make a complaint. He said he is not going to give me the information. He stated that no matter the complaint I made, nothing would happen to him. He was under the impression that my request to speak to someone over him was done to be malicious and to get something bad to happen to him. As stated previously, my intent for reaching out a supervisor was only to get someone to honor the deal we were given. I had no intent on trying to get the supervisor fired or in trouble. If he would have allowed me to communicate my point without being belligerent the entire time, he would of heard my intent.My husband and I were looking forward to purchasing the peloton, we were only trying to ensure we get the best deal prior to dishing out close to $1500. However, the Leawood store showed no concerned or ownership in giving out the wrong information. Instead, the supervisor proceeded to over talk me and tell me nothing was going to happen to him. He refused to give me any information to make a complaint about the interaction. He finally decided t transfer my call to the sales; however, when he went to transfer the call it hung up. Now I am not sure if he intentionally hung up, however; the call dropped and when I called back, he picked up where he left off at and started yelling and told me he would not speak to me nor debate with me.As of today, no one has reached out to my husband to discuss the misinformation given to him. My goal has always been to speak to someone to attempt to have the deal honored and or to see if someone can offer us another deal. It’s very unfortunate that Rob or Robert decided to take his frustrations out on me as the customer.

However, I have since used my peloton or the app literally hundreds of days! It is a remarkable company and an even better product! There are literally hundreds of pros vs. the original cons. So IMO if you are considering one of these, do it! You won't regret it.I don’t normally leave nasty reviews. But I’m super disappointed with my experience at peloton! We went to the peloton location in Leawood two days after they had opened. They told us at that time if we buy a bike that we would receive our installation date via email immediately following the transaction. That was true and we did receive a date of December 23 six weeks after our purchase date. Today is December 22 and I just received a call from the transportation company telling me that the bikes are back ordered and I would now get a new date of February 24! I’m not only irritated that I have to wait 3 1/2 months for my purchase date to actually receive the product, I’m most irritated because we scheduled our holiday around the December 23 delivery… why would they wait until the day before took call? And it wasn’t even peloton that called! Not a representative from the Leawood store and not somebody from peloton corporate instead of telemarketer that I could barely understand. I understand that things happen but I think when you’re deciding whether to buy a peloton or not you should consider a nearly 4 month delivery time. At the store level they told us it would be 6 to 8 weeks. Buyer beware.

Lolita Law: Thank you, Peloton Leawood!! I made an appointment to check out the Treads and Bikes. Amy answered all our questions and she gave us a tour of the treads and bikes. She taught me how to clip in and out and made the proper seat and handlebar adjustments. The salespeople at the store are upfront about the delivery times, making sure to tell us that it could take longer.The delivery issues are not the fault of the store nor the delivery drivers. When I received my delivery, the young men were excellent. They provided set up and answered all questions regarding upkeep and functions. Yes, there was a couple of rescheduling, and yes, it is frustrating, but we should not take it out on the store. Peloton does have some issues to work out with distribution. However, the app is free while you are waiting, and there are some excellent workouts on the app. I am delighted with my purchase!
Nick Shigouri: Absolutely a dream experience. I have had my bike for a little over a month and it just seemed to fit a little askew. The gentleman who helped me at the store had me in and out in 3 minutes and VOILA! Fit is now perfect. This was such an easy process and I am so thankful Peloton opened a store in Kansas City.

Definitely won't be upgrading to their bike. 3 employees standing around on their phones, wouldn't even look up. Finally convinced an employee to talk to me, no accessories other than clothes are carried in the store. Salesperson has almost zero interest in helping me order a heart rate monitor. Generally did not feel welcome there. Big letdown, their digital presence is amazing. The store was beautiful but dusty. The experience was a total letdown.

We went from looking to purchasing our first bike. We were told delivery on February 12th and it arrived the exact day as promised. STOP leaving bad reviews for the store when they have no control of the company producing and delivering bikes!We visited and had a great experience with Amy in November. She answered all our questions and told us about the delays in delivery. We tried out a bike and ordered one knowing full well it wasn’t going to come till the END of January. We were happy to wait for it. Ours was delivered on time and they had 15 bikes plus two treadmills to deliver that same day. These guys are working as hard as they can to get deliveries done as a company.For the store in Leawood: it’s bright, beautifully designed and full of friendly and helpful people. My second visit to the store was to buy accessories and was just as great as the first.Lastly, the bike has been worth the wait. Go see one in person at the store and then have patience.
Alex Caffrey: WARNING: DO NOT ORDER A PELOTON FROM LEAWOOD KS LOCATION. I ordered my bike, in full, on November 12, 2020 and it was promised to me by January 8, 2021. Over the months I received updates and reminders of my bikes delivery including my mat, how to prepare my space for my new bike, shoes etc. I even received friendly reminders the week of its arrival of my promised delivery date.On January 7, 2021 or less than 24 hours before the scheduled delivery, I received a message saying my delivery will be delayed (not a day or week), BUT TWO ENTIRE MONTHS. I have received no explanation other than a sorry. Meanwhile, this same situation has happened to customers order a bike from this store.I have colleagues who ordered their bike on November 18 or later via the peloton website (not in a store) and not IN FULL LIKE ME, and their bike arrived on time as promised or on January 14, 2021.This is unethical and saying you “put customers first” as a mission statement on your website is a pure lie.

I had to physically track someone down to get a shoe size. Very frustrating when the store has decent traffic coming and going and I have my young kids with me and I have to track down someone to help when there is 6 just standing around.

If you can’t wait in your spot for hours then don’t come. People were trying to sell wristbands to people waiting in line that they found in the trash from prior events.

WR: Excellent. A recent search for a bike for my kiddo led me to BS. The staff was great. Due to various factors, we actually ended up finding the best bike for our specific needs at a different store. Inventories are pretty hit or miss these days, post COVID. But BS was so good, I felt they deserved a shout out anyway. My goal is to find a way to spend some money at Bicycle Shack over the summer out of gratitude for how we were treated despite not getting a new bike here. I think a couple of our bikes might need service, and I'll be coming to BS to kind of pay them back so to speak.
Nathan Roberts: Hands down the best customer experince I've had at a bike shop. The owners were very friendly and knowlegable on the ins and outs of bikes, local trails, and gear. The prices were good and comparable to what I seen at other shops and online retailers. I'm 6'5'' so I was suprised that they had xlarge sized hybrid bikes which are a great fit for me. This is now my go-to bike shop.PS: I never write reviews but I feel like anyone looking for a bike in Lee's Summit/South KC should definitely visit this shop.
Austin Althaber: I absolutely love the service here.In 2021 Jason fixed a wheel for me that another bike shop in LS messed up, and did so incredibly quickly.Just last week I took the bike in for rear brake pad replacement and a bleed, and Jason gave the entire bike a tune up (chain care, checked the tires, tightened my aerobars and even the bottle cages that rattled), changed the pads, bled the lines, and it cost me $25. They go above and beyond in their service and genuinely love their craft. I've had nothing but great experiences here.

I bought one and within like a few months pretty much everything on it broke and they would not replace parts which were missing that should have came with it. Heres a list in order: hub, rotor, spokes, headset. I would really recommend you stay far away from here for you safety and welbeing as well as for not spending ridiculous amounts of money fixing things which could have been prevented with one small part.

As I was carrying my bike home I saw the door to this shop open, though I knew it was too late for them to be open. I knocked on the door and asked if I could pretty please with sugar on top buy a tube. He could have easily told me that the shop was closed and he was leaving but he grabbed me a new (700c with Schrader valve) tube and brought his floor jack over and I was back on the road in less than five minutes flat. Much appreciated, Onestar, you have earned five stars.
Tyler Epstein: This shop is a long drive for me and with the hours I work it's hard to get down there but when I am able to get down there it is always worth it. They have built a few wheels for me and have worked on several of my bikes. These guys are good people and genuinely love bikes. Although organized and stocked well, I don't think this location has dusted their shelves, racks, etc. for weeks/months. It's quite abysmal when I can make notes this easily on the shelves to "Clean me" due to the volume of dust and grime on the equipment. Needs a lot of work.
James Kanary: “It’s a big storeroom” was the response from soccer cleat clerk when I asked if they could find the size 4 youth soccer cleats I was ready to buy two of for my boys. It was categorized incorrectly so the tablet/phone based scanner could not locate the inventory. How about some problem solving before you lose a customer ready to spend $100+? Really disappointing experience. Watched the same clerk dismiss another shopper who asked about the price of a soccer ball with “that’s an expensive ball,” making an assumption that the young man could not afford to spend that much. Expect better from what I thought was a flagship sporting goods store.
Katie H: Ordered some shoes online, got a notification they were ready for pick up. Drove to the store and waited in line to pick up the shoes. Luckily, I opened up the box and checked them before leaving and noted they were used and had been returned. The bottoms and heels were worn and dirty. They told me I would have to go back to the shoe department and check to see if they had any new ones, (which shouldn’t be my problem to fix) so I walked back and then had to wait for someone to help me, finally was able to get someone who could check them. They did not have any other ones so I had to go back to the register to cancel the order, inconvenient and a wasted trip. They shouldn’t resell used shoes for brand new retail price (these were $130).

A silky red Superbowl championship shirt XXL was missing. It sad because you can't see what the boy, a 26 or 27 bulky white male at the register is doing, he bagged all the clothes behind the register and fast. We tried to call and talk to the manager Chris about the boy Wyatt but he was no help, like we were trying to get something for free after spending 596.47 to be exact. Chris wasn't helpful or professional. He hung up on us, with no resolution at all.I guess we just payed it forward without knowing it. Your so welcome.

This has happened to me on several different occasions in September. He literally towed two employees to come watch me my mother and my children because he thinks we would be stealing October 7. He went outside got someone’s tag information and contacted the police department, and the police came and sat behind that person’s car. I understand that happens at this location a lot however to simply profile every black person that comes in there is ridiculous. I will be filing a complaint.

Jay Hawkins: Purchased a pair of Nike for store pickup and I received a pair of used shoes. Upon returning the shoes, the cashiers were stunned and apologetic. However the manager who was called over did not offer an apology nor address me directly. When I advised I simply wanted my money back he just walked away. It was very unprofessional and disappointing.

The one worker who we thought might be able to help us with climbing shoes was gracious and let us know very forthrightly that they no longer carry climbing shoes. The young lady who helped me with my sunglasses was kind, so I’m glad to recommend this place.
