Julianne Rabal: This was my first visit to any Capital Grille location. I was celebrating a college graduation with high hopes of having a great experience with my family. Unfortunately that was not the case. We had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. The food was decent, however our server was extremely rude and had an awful attitude the entire evening really spoiling our night. Brett would take our plates and drinks without asking if we were not finished - even when there were still a large sip left. He did not really acknowledge our special occasion. We were expecting much better service for spending $$$$.

Anita Todd: Our first time eating at Piropos. Our server Jill was excellent. We had the crab bisque which was amazing. My husband had the ribeye. Perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the medallions and shrimp. The sauces were so delicious. They gave us a free sample of the bread and dipping sauces which we ate during and after dinner. Overall excellent meal and service and we would highly recommend. Btw. The sangria was excellent too!!

The bread basket comes with three different spreads to try out. The appetizers of bacon wrapped shrimp and chicken empanadas were absolutely delicious.I ordered the beef medallions with tiger shrimp. It was phenomenal. Excellent flavor, and the sauce for the medallions was exquisite. I highly recommend ordering the chicken empanadas to start and go from there. They gave me a complimentary cheesecake slice for my birthday. 10/10 for the food, service, and atmosphere.

Bryan Whitehead: I’ve been dining here since before it was called La Bodega, so naturally it’s an enduring favorite for me. I always get a combination of tapas, so I don’t have much experience with entrees or salads. The small plates are outstanding. Almost everything I’ve gotten here has been an excellent combination of good basic cuisine and delicious sauce. I’m a big garlic fan, and they do an especially good job with garlic-intensive flavors.I just about always get the brotxeta and the papas fritas con ajo. From there it depends on what’s on special, what my companions want to try and what happens to catch my eye. As I said, I’ve almost never gone wrong. They also do a good job with cocktails. On my most recent visit I got an allspice daiquiri that was quite good.The service here is excellent. I recommend going during happy hour for the cheaper tapas and reduced noise level. Getting lots of small things can add up to a big bill at the end of the meal, and parking can be a little weird. But really this is one of KC's best dining experiences.
Ben Valley: I love tapas places and they are too few. This place is EXCELLENT! If you've never tried or you love tapas..... GO! They also have crazy cheap happy hour deals that are almost HALF OFF! You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't go. There are few places like this a one. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 2 to 5. Bring a date, bring a spouse, bring of your friends, or go alone. BUT GO!!!!!

Emily Simpson: This place was okay. It was obviously trendy, but I went there with my dad and his older friends, and they couldn't understand the menu, and then you're outside and you've got the noise from the cars driving above you. The two tapas items that I picked from the menu for the table were a hit, but the other two that the table just went with at the suggestion of the server were kinda meh. The drinks were delicious, though. And though noisy, the patio was super cute. I think I'd have a different experience going back with friends. Not for the older crowd, I'd say. Alpha Landingham: Staff was on point. The restaurant space is rather small and feels kind of crowded. The decoration is art deco, strong 1920s glitz theme. The food was solid standard fare for a four-star hotel. Nothing bad just nothing all that special. I got the steak and my dad got the fish. There are too many good places to eat in KC to pay for bad service, please fix it!

I’m a pescatarian, and so I was left with absolutely no entree that I could even eat.We left and went to Lidia’s where they were able to serve everything published on their menu and had a respectful server and delicious food. Five stars to Lidia’s!As we were leaving the American Reserve to go to Lidia's, the host and the hotel front desk staff person tried giving us coupons for other restaurants in the area. They oddly didn’t try to give us a coupon for their own business. The host told us that if we would come back next week, the American Reserve would have a new menu. They can’t even get a grip on their existing menu — why should we expect them to properly handle a new menu?

Wendy Darragh: Michael was awesome. Food not great - the steak was like eating at a wedding. Had been cooked earlier and the sides cold. Great atmosphere & drinks though!
Chelsey B: Went to celebrate two friends getting married. The service was okay, had a few large gaps in getting drinks and ordering food. The atmosphere was nice except the background sounds were really loud. I felt like I had to yell at the people I was sitting with to have a conversation. The food was okay. The wine was fantastic. They have a much wider variety of alcohol than they do food. Limited menu and I have food allergies so I could literally only order a grilled cheese sandwich and it was bland. I will not return. I can go elsewhere with more menu items and for a much cheaper price. I literally spent $100 for 3 glasses of wine, a grilled cheese, and a bowl of soup.
