Royce Shields: Upon arrival the place was really nice. Once seated we placed our orders. We waited about 45 mins before getting the two appetizers that were ordered. After about another 20 mins or so the waitress approached the table and informed us that she placed the order incorrectly(Unfortunately she didn’t provide us a name so can’t exactly who she was) but when asked about how long it would be before the food would come, she stated “well you ordered 3 steaks, rolled her eyes and walked off”(mind you all the steaks were 6oz) she also brought me a child’s orange juice and when she returned for refills I asked for more juice and she stated “well they said they ran out of juice”, as if that’s my fault. She could have said this and I could have ordered something else! We then we asked for a manager and asked the same about time frame on receiving food, because now we’ve waited over an hour, and with no response. He then stated “you did order steaks and your orders all needed extra accommodations, but not going to go back and forth with you we are working on getting it out to you, it’s only been placed 20 mins ago and walked off”…I am a manager myself and never would treat guest in this manner we then as a party of 9 decided to leave. It was very clear that other tables were a priority over others, but even as nice as the place displayed its self to be, we will not return to this location. There were guest that arrived after us and who spoke to us outside of the restaurant as they waited for the rest of their party, they got in received food and was leaving within the time of us asking about receiving our order. Ruined the birthday girls day for sure, currently looking for another place to eat. Worst visit ever!!!!
Lovey Carvin: My family of (9) went here for brunch and celebrating a birthday, while we arrived @ 1130 for our reservation was promptly seated at 1139(no problem) however once seated the sever(which I don’t recall her name) took almost 20mins to greet us! Took our drink orders took a while returning with drinks, promptly after we placed our food order roughly 12:15, waited patiently server returned to our table @ 12:40 stating it was a mishaps between her putting in the order & the kitchen staff! Never apologized for the mess up! I then approached the manager adv him of the issue.He begin to tell me we ordered steaks and etc, mindful of that however the fact the serve & manager both responded w/attitude’s & unprofessional mannerUNACCEPTABLE, clear to see In the environment was prioritized by color. A family bigger then our party arrived and was seated same time as our party & was leaving and served when we decided to leave the establishment.Sadden first time here and will never return

Hannah Taylor: We met some family here for brunch a few weeks back and it was really disappointing. I had been looking forward to it for a very long time and heard great things. Our service was okay and the place was beautiful but there was long periods in between being checked on and the food was extremely underwhelming. I got the diablo and it was okay but wasn't really spicy nor had a lot of flavor and my boyfriend's french toast looked unappetizing. Definitely not worth the $70+ I spent on the two of us... Maybe we should have come for dinner instead.

Alex Toepfer: Took an out of town guest here for a nightcap. We were waited on by an extremely knowledgeable sommelier who not only gave great notes about the wines we tasted, but told us stories about the specific vineyards, their histories, influences, and production techniques. He took the time to understand our tastes and suggested incredible wines to try. It was a masterclass in wine education and a wonderful, personalized experience. Bravo!

Brianna Raakman: This place is extremely dark. I could not even tell when I entered which tables were free because it was so dark. They only had QR code menus and it was too dark for my phone to scan it. The layout of the space was not great because the band is right at the entrance so only a couple tables can see the band the rest are too far away. Yes the live music is nice but the aesthetic of the room was not my style and it made it difficult for me to stay and enjoy it.

Tye B: What a beautifully designed place to visit for a nightcap love the ambience and the overall vibe. Upon my visit I noticed the beautifully hanging butterflies drinks are amazing as always I went for a traditional old fashioned it was a solid contender to others iv tried. Prices are to be expected for a nice experience, and reservations are Preffered but not required if there is open space. It's one of those places you just have to go and visit on your own. Outside seating is nice, but inside is where you get the whole experience. I will be back as they seemed to have notable wine list.

ShaNyia Roberts: Always a good time going here! They have a seasonal menu and this one probably is my favorite so far, the Bone Marrow Tartine is sooo good and so fresh, the fresh herbs combined with the crispy crust and lemon is just too good! Their ribeye bolognese is also so amazing, great flavor throughout, the ONLY complaint I have is the food is never hot. I enjoy hot food and sometimes I have to send it back to get it to the right temp, my other friends have complained about this too. However that doesn’t negate the fact that the food AND drinks are always great. High quality lounge and the staff are pretty great too!

Armita: Amazing contemporary bar. Absolutely love the butterfly references in decorations, menu and outside of the bar. There many amazing craft cocktails and small plates. The menu is very creative. There is a unique name for the drinks. They also have great selections of beers and wines. They are open until midnight weekdays. So, it’s a great spot to hangout during the week as well.
SA Berry: This place is so freaking beautiful! I felt like I was in a hotel bar, but it's a stand-alone cocktail lounge that feels incredibly intimate. The drinks were delicious (I ordered the margarita) and the server was kind! If you're in the mood for a great date night, go here!

Nimrat Johal: Booked a private event for my 30th. I’ve attended as a guest many times but hosting an event here is a 10/10 experience. The bartenders are exceptional, food is great and the servers… they make sure you and all your guests are taken care of. S L: I love this place. The price of cocktails here, especially for happy hour, isn't any higher than many restaurants, but the quality is out of this world. If you like whiskey cocktails, try the Louisiana Purchase.

Food was great, presentation was impressive, and portion sizes were large.Understanding we dined during a busy dinner time on a weekend, the servers seemed overworked and some of the dishes came out a little colder than expected. But the taste was still delicious, and we’d certainly be back to give it a second try.

The waiter was prompt and personable (and even recognized my scientist nerd music from my Spotify, which hadn't turned off.) We had the steak tartare, which was fantastic and the fried potatoes... The curry spiced ketchup was insanely good. Friday night at 7 pm, there were plenty of customers but not overcrowded. I will definitely suggest it to my locals.

On the spicy side but was asked ahead of time with warning and they were right. Melissa Davis: This restaurant was stellar! The service was impeccable every step of the way. Every item we ordered was next level. We started with the crispy farm egg and then the spring ravioli. Both were excellent. I had the KC strip for my main course and it did not disappoint. It was served with the best carrots I've ever had and I'm typically indifferent about carrots. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Linda Rounds: Great BBQ!!! Can't remember the name of the sandwich waiter recommended and not listed on the online menu. It had burnt ends, sausage and their homemade slaw. We ordered burnt ends and grits along with their cornbread hush puppies. Then the peach bread pudding and cream brulee was wonderful. Everything looked so good we way over ordered and took half home to heat up later. Would rate this way over some of the older BBQ places in KC. Great service and were very knowledgeable of their menu.

Brandon Lassiter: The food was delicious! Tender burnt ends, moist ribs, and flavorful brisket along side some yummy bbq beans and potato salad. The side upgrade to french fries is well worth $1 as the fries are amazing (comparable to KC Joes). Our server Joe B was outstanding and enhanced our experience with an uplifting and kind personality! It was a hot day but the umbrella gave us shade and the water kept us cool. We shall return!

In my opinion none of the places in KC (MO or KS) that I have tried can touch Char Bar! By far the best I have had and will definitely be back! Cherrelle Crawford: We came here for Mothers Day brunch and I was truly disappointed. There wasn’t much of a selection on the buffet. No waffles, pancakes or crepes of any kind. The potato’s were cold and the only thing that I really enjoyed was the omelette station. At first the waitress seemed nice but you could tell he was overwhelmed because we would have to keep reminding her about drinks, she messed up our bills.

Shiona Deliozar: We had our company Christmas party here with a large group of 15 and the setting was perfect for Christmas. The cabins and igloos outside were decorated so festively and the service was great throughout. I really enjoyed their chips and meatballs and their holiday cocktails with all the fun names. The views were really pretty at night with the fire on the deck. Felt cozy and was. The service was great throughout.
Luke Payne: This place used to be great but as of a few moments ago it is one of only two restaurants I've walked out of. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on appetizers and the only time anyone came to check up was when he thought he was at a different table. We couldn't get a second round of drinks and had to chase him down for the original order. Slwe we're also one of only 3 tables seated in the dining room. My husband's dirty martini was served in a PLASTIC rocks glass... even though I saw they had martini glasses....and no we weren't out by the pool.. we were in the upper level on a couch. Also, do not order a spicy margarita. Thank goodness I asked how they are prepared...I guess they ran out of jalapeños so they are using tobacco sauce 🤮... if you don't have the ingredients.... just don't offer it. For an up scale bar you would think they would serve their drinks in actual glasses and not plastic.. even the beer was served in a disposable solo cup.

She was very thoughtful making sure we enjoyed our visit.The Chef brought the food to our table and explained what each dish was that he prepared. The Manager brought the dessert to our table. Manager was distant and somewhat non-communitive compared to most managers we come in contact with. When I asked a question concerning the dessert he wasn't very pleasant as if he was too busy and didn't want to talk at all. There were no other quest. Poor customer service and example for his employees. I will go back due to the waitress great service.
Jennifer Johnson: My boyfriend and I visited this bar on a Saturday night. The whole place was packed and they only had one waitress working. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and ended up getting frustrated so we’d go get our own drinks from the bar. The service was absolutely unacceptable. Considering how classy this hotel is, I expected a better bar experience. I am very disappointed.

The horseradish pepper mentioned in the description is so mild it doesn't really need to be mentioned on the menu. The staff was kind about celebrating a birthday without making a scene. The butter cake was amazing and rich enough to be shared with was perfect. Only thing we would have liked better would be hearing the live jazz. It's barely noticeable from most locations in the restaurant. Also, we usually love to share a Caesar for our appetizer and no Caesar is offered here. But overall, fabulous food and great service!

Casiano Trujillo: I decided to go to Chaz for my wife and I's 33rd wedding anniversary. We have heard good things and was excited to try Chaz for the first time. When we arrived, they couldn't find our reservation, I showed them my conformation, and they apologized for missing it. Because they couldn't find the reservation, the sat us down on this tiny table, and made us feel they had to fit us in. I first want to say the food was good, but we never initially received our appetizer. We asked about the appetizer, which they brought it out to us with no charge, but it was after we had already had dinner. I wanted this to be a special night, and all we received. were apologies over and over again. We had to ask for water refills, it was just not the evening we had planned. For such a nice place, it was a mess.To top it off, we valleted our new car, only to find out that they damaged our car. Now we have wait to see if they will fix it. Not the anniversary I wish we had.
J.T Walker: My wife and I came for dinner on 9-30-22 and had one of the best dining experiences ever, from the drinks to the service which was incredible and the food. We had appetizers of Calamari and Shrimp Cocktail and for entrées my wife had the Duke Wellington and I had the Steak Diane and all were cooked to perfection, I used to be their Executive Chef a long time ago and the Chef in charge Chef Savanah let me look at the kitchen and how it has changed. We definitely plan on coming back and enjoying many more meals there and I sorry that I can't remember our servers name but she was awesome.
