The hostess welcomed me with a wonderful smile and attitude and sat me at the bar to my liking.I was greeted immediately by the bartender with a fresh water. He was also attentive and polite the entire length of my meal, keeping my water glass filled, eating space clear of used plates and my Bloody Mary requests fulfilled while maintaining other tables in the larger seating area of the bar.They offered three (3) variations of oysters of which I tried all three and was not disappointed. They were fresh and appointed well.I also had the Challah Bread French Toast with sausage and it was delicious! It was served with fresh blueberries, warm maple syrup and sliced thick! The sausages were a welcomed compliment to my meal and in my opinion, ya can’t beat sausage dipped in maple syrup!I would definitely order this again and if this item is any indication of their full menu, I would definitely eat here again if I ever get to visit KC in the future.

Morgan and Taylor Thomas: This place deserves at least 6 stars. Food; great. Wine; perfect. Atmosphere; post Roman Italy meets modern. What earns them the 6th star is the sommelier Lizzie. Garrett Kirk: Great experience here with Dalton our server. My wife and I were celebrating our joint birthdays, Dalton was nice and attentive the entire time. The food was great and I was impressed with how fast the kitchen pumped out high quality dishes. That’s hard to do with consistency. My wife enjoyed a Gin and Tonic that was distilled in-house with salmon and red rice. She said it was the best salmon she had ever had. I had a filet with wedge salad, duck fat yukon golds with melted leeks. It was great. The filet was cooked perfectly and the bone marrow butter was a great finisher. We shared the crispy Brussel sprouts and a few oysters. We both enjoyed them and I was honestly impressed with how crispy the sprouts were. The oysters were delicious, fresh and flavorful. The really nice part was since we were both celebrating birthdays, we both got complimentary desserts. $10 a pop, on the house. A restaurant with their stature doesn’t have to do that but it’s really impressive when they do. We’re just two folks having dinner and they treated us like we were Mr. & Mrs. Mahomes. It was really nice and we appreciate it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a upscale dining experience in Kansas City. Plus it’s in Union Station, easily one of the top 5 destinations in Kansas City. It’s an all around new favorite of ours for celebrating life events.Parking: Large paid parking garage located at 1804 Broadway St, Kansas City, MO 64108. Easy walking distance to Union Station. Brad Warren: I didn’t eat, but the food that I saw looked good and several people told me it was very good. I only had cocktails. It was a beautiful day in KC, so they had the windows open. Really nice views and great for people watching. The bartender, Gabby, was on top of her game. I never had an empty glass and she was kind enough to brew me fresh coffee at 3 pm with an almost empty restaurant. The location is great and I will definitely visit again.

Chris Morris: Never been the kind of person to put down anyone’s establishment, but todays experience for me was horrific! Today my family and I walked in for lunch and we were seated by a polite host, once we were seated we were given our menus to look over. We sat there waiting for some kind of assistance, or even someone to offer us a glass of water. But to my surprise no one showed up, literally about 5 mins later a bigger party was seated right across from us. As we sat there for 10 mins, no service, no water, the waiter proceeds to take the order of the bigger party as if we haven’t been sitting there before them. Within that time frame about 3-4 waiters walked by and still no assistance, by this point I decided to get up and go back to the front desk host and asked why we haven’t been served and why the bigger party is getting serviced before us even though we were there first. He walked over to get a waiter to come over to assist, by that point the damage was done. It’s not the part that we had to wait, it was the simple fact every single customer in the establishment was white and we were the only 3 black people in the restaurant. We felt disrespected and discriminated against, because the party that was sat right after us were all white. This was a horrible experience for myself and my family, will NEVER go back to this establishment, especially where black people get ignored even though our money green like the rest!

Service was amazing and the food was great. High quality ingredients with mixtures of flavors that you don't expect and they still somehow taste amazing together. We got the Hummer Poutine, Risotto von Meeresfruchten, and Jakobsmuscheln mit Entenleber. It all was so good - loved the seafood. I'd probably go for a lighter starter next time but we were curious about lobster poutine.

Woodsie Woods: First time and it was great. Ordered off their new seasonal “white asparagus” menu. The white asparagus soup had a nice deep flavor but was a tad too salty. I was very excited to see morel mushrooms on the menu with the white asparagus and morel mushroom spatzle. This dish had a nice sherry cream sauce, however it overpowered the delicate flavor of the morel mushrooms. Overall pleased with the quality, especially with these recipes being a fairly new addition.

Racheal Soendker: Truly one of the best restaurants in KC. Make a reservation to ensure you can be seated. Especially on the weekends. This is not a place to go if you are I'm a rush. They know how to time the dishes so you are sure to be finished with appetizers before the next course is brought out. They give you time to enjoy each course. If you choose to do a bottle of wine, the server is good about coming back to pour it timely. And the food is amazing. If you can, make sure you get there in the spring for the white asparagus menu. I've been there multiple times and have never been disappointed.

Mallory Baker: We had a gift card so we decided to go for the first time for my birthday dinner. I was a little nervous after reading a few recent reviews, but wanted to try something new. We enjoyed ourselves and I’m glad we tried it, but without the gift card I would have disappointed that we spent so much for the quality of our entrees. Even with the gift card it was a little pricey. The apps and dessert were our favorite parts, so I think it might be better for lunch or happy hour. Here is my review of each item-Service and atmosphere- 10/10. Our waiter was great and it was really cool to look out the windows and see the plaza at night. The ceiling was also beautiful.Raspberry mule- 8/10 the flavor was really good but tasted a little watery and there didn’t seem to be much alcoholLavender haze- 5/10 honestly it was ordered because of the Taylor Swift song but it had a very weird aftertaste. I don’t think the lavender flavor and alcohol mixed well. Drinkable but didn’t order a second.Shrimp kisses- 10/10 amazing. Perfect amount of chili kick, sweetness, and saltiness. Hot and delicious. Would go back just for those.Lobster bisque- 10/10 so good. Creamy, flavorful, and hot.Filet and mashed potatoes- 7/10. The seasoning on the steak was fine and it was cooked to the correct temperature (medium), but both the steak and potatoes felt a little bland and honestly underwhelmingHalibut with roasted potatoes and asparagus- 7/10 the food was good but not very flavorful and the portion was a bit smallChocolate bag- 10/10 it was a fun, interactive dessert that felt like a whole experience unique to this restaurant. Not only was it fun to break the bag, it was delicious to eat!

Alexa Savka: We came here to celebrate Father’s Day and my son’s 4th birthday. There was no wait, our server greeted us right away, and everything was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect, my husband got to watch the US Open and enjoy a cold beer while I had a lavender martini. The Poké Nachos are to die for. I highly recommend their Vampire Tacos and a cup of Tomato Bisque. It’s velvety and delicious and hits the spot every time. The tacos have amazing texture and flavor. My husband said his Korean BBQ Philly was incredibly good. Definitely get truffle fries when you go too. Overall it was an excellent experience and we will be back again and again. I haven’t had any issues ever when going here and it’s never overly busy.

Jenn Holland: We came in last night (6/16) after a long, hard day of moving to KC and just needed a good snack to end the night. We walked in to two friendly faces at the host stand happy to help with suggestions. Chelsea took care of us so well, it completely made our night—even offered us a beverage while we waited. Kind, helpful, and efficient—the makings of great customer service—and Chelsea excelled at them all. 13/10. We can’t say enough praises about Chelsea. Thank you!
