N BlueRidge: My dog is a little nervous- but elkhound does everything they can to make him comfortable while being boarded there. I am grateful that there’s a good kennel that can take care of him when I can not
Cooper Harris: This place is affordable but you get what you pay for. Left 2 of my dogs here for 6 days. They both seemed very normal at pickup, excited to see me, whimpering etc.As soon as I get them home I noticed one of them has a limp in his front left paw, constantly licking it, and a decent sized scab on his nose.The other dog has a horrible cough and is lethargic.I’m fairly understanding I get that things happen but not a word was said to me about them at pickup. I am completely in the dark about what has happened to them only left to guesses. Pretty lackluster caregiving if you don’t even mention problems that arise.Won’t be taking them back here again. Getting a few smiles and savings a few bucks isn’t worth my dogs health. Use at your own risk.

Staff are always friendly, I can tell they truly care. Also, Lea is amazing for training! She knows dogs and how to work with them better than any other trainer I've talked with before.
Crystal Roppa: This is an amazing place! I have a pit bull that we rescued 8 years ago. She does not like other people or dogs. I was so paranoid that something bad would happen when I boarded her. This was the best experience for both of us. She let the staff pet her! She always comes back home happy! She even walks up to the staff when we are leaving and nuzzles against their legs to say goodbye. This is an amazing place! I highly recommend them.
Michael Gordon: We board our cat, and he’s never uttered a bad word about the service. Staff are friendly, take good care of him, and I like that the cat area has some natural daylight, and relatively large enclosures compared to many cat boarders.
david timberlake: They did a good job with my pet and boarding is easy to do online. 2 minor issues cost a star. They didn't return one of the prescriptions and he supposedly had a bath the day before we picked him up but he was very dirty so we gave him a bath ourselves. They are really good with the pets other than those items on the last visit
Jawuan Pugh: I am leaving a 4 star review because I can not seem to ever get a call back or get someone on the phone here. I have a boarding scheduled for the end of the year and I tried to cancel, modify it online but wasn’t able to. So I left a voicemail about two weeks ago and nobody ever followed up. Before the first time we took our dog her for boarding we called 3-4 times before and nobody ever answered or returned our calls. Besides the lack of call backs they treated our dog well.

Kay Schwenk: We boarded our small dog there for the first time this past week. While there, she became sick from symptoms of bladder stones. The owner called me to notify us, and then called our vet. Pat, the owner, drove our pup to the vet's office, where she could be examined. He then went and picked her up and returned her to Broadmore, so when we got in town that evening, we could take her home. He went above and beyond for our dog, and we are so grateful!!!

I have tried many places to have my cat shaved with out being put under sedation … I finally found a place efficient, quick and no drugs! Shaunda Cohen: I was a 5 year customer of Broadmoor Kennels, sending my lab for day care services when he was a puppy. I was surprised when boarding him this week that my lab came back in severe pain. He can't walk because Broadmoor Kennels failed to follow very specific medication instructions. In fact, they used none of the medication and would not believe me every time I told him all the medication I packed came back. You would think after being a customer for 5 years that would get me some credit along with the photo showing all the meds that were in the containers I sent. If your fur baby is in need of more than just food, water, and to be let out, I would look elsewhere. I'm highly disappointed in how my lab was treated and how I was treated. Oh and I've never worked there so if there's a response that I'm a disgruntled employee like their other bad reviews, it isn't true. Appreciate the flat apology and no other offer to make it better, but how I was treated was just bad customer service. I won't be returning.

Katie McNeil: The people at Broadmore Kennels are wonderful and kind. Two things you want out of someone who is taking care of your furry family members. We boarded our larger than life fluffy son, Yogi for 5 days and felt completely at ease the entire time we were away. We loved being able to see what he was up to on their daily social posts. We will definitely be using Broadmore Kennels again.

Emma Reynolds: This is not a doggy daycare. This is a short term kennel masquerading as a daycare. The dogs are not outside in groups most of the day like you are told, they spend most of their day in kennels, alone. This facility has room to board more than 75 dogs but has ONE yard for the dogs to play in. The other two yards are used one dog at a time for dogs that are deemed unacceptable for daycare. There is not 3 yards for play. The dogs are ran from kennel to yard for maybe 15 minutes just a few times a day. Dogs do not get to play or interact with other dogs like they normally do at a daycare. I’m horrified that they are not more forward about the fact that if you take your dog here for daycare, it’s going to sit in a kennel until you come pick it up.

Sarah Lynn: The manager Brooke helped with our main lady Kelsey today. They were super understanding and extremely helpful. First time ever getting a puppy here and we left with our forever friend! We actually left the Lee summit location from being treated poorly and had 100% better experience here and changed my view on Petland! These 2 ladies went above and beyond. Kelsey being new was very honest on what she was learning on, what she knew and not knew 100% and gave us the best experience with switching out so many puppies and making sure we got 100% what we needed. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend this location to all my friends.
Timber Pong: Nice little facility. Had a lot of varieties of puppies. But they are still suffering from the shipping problems. They barely had anything on the shelves due to this.

MinorMischief: The other evening we went to look a puppies. We get there and the door is locked and we can see the woman inside closing. The problem is that it was 30min until close (which is 9pm). So who knows how long beforehand she had actually started closing down as we never saw her come to the door and lock it. She saw us standing out there too and had a dumbfounded look as if she couldn’t believe people were there....
Scott Murphy: I get my dogs food here, the clerks are nice and always show my Husky's love when they come in. I have a rear Cooper husky so they are always wanting to see him.
Kim V: Please do not buy puppies from Petland. They buy sick puppies from puppy mills and the Campylobacter infections that resulted in dozens of people becoming so ill that they required hospitalization. This infection is antibiotic resistant and people die. Please stop getting puppies here. Always meet a puppy's mom, at the place they were born. Stop believing the statement the breeder is USDA, go to the USDA website and look up the licensed breeders, USDA has the worse breeders in the country.
Kristin Kandt: Just went there and was disappointed in the selection. This is really a place for dog afficionados - which is fine - I just have a cat whom I dearly love. Not much for cats and no fish stuf, which I am thinking of adding. Dog owners - this is for you. Nice staff. Nice and clean - just don't have what I need.

Kim Rausch: I went into this store to buy toys for my new (adopted) cat. I cannot believe that there are pet stores still selling puppies in this day and age. I had to ask if they were up for adoption because i just couldn't believe it. Reading through the reviews about sick dogs, I notice that the establishment only responds to positive reviews and not to negative. This indicates an uncaring, untrustworthy attitude. Don't shop, adopt!

Adam White: My family and I played and purchased a sweetheart of a puppy! French bulldog named Wonton! He has been such a good puppy and a great addition to our family ever since our English Bulldog of 10 years had to be put down! Petland has been great to us, and Elvis and staff at the North KC location were fantastic to work with and helping us bring our little boy home! He's been through 1 vet visit and he checked out completely healthy!
