Shawn: Its highly recomended that you make reservations for parties of 3 or more ahead of time. They do accept walk ins, the bar is open seating and there are two tables and window seating available for parties of 4 or less.I sat at the bar and ordered a coffee, the brioche french toast and 2 eggs over medium. I had to ask for sugar a couple of times and water was never offered to me. It wasnt until i stared at an empty coffee glass and 2 nearly empty food plates that the bartender finally came back, he never checked in to see how my food was or asked me if I would like an additional coffee. He was polite and nice but not a 10 out of 10 for service. He was about a 7 out of 10 or 4 stars out of 5.The atmosphere was inviting there were sounds of the 80's playing overhead and it was so loud im not sure how anyone could hear over the other conversations within the bar without talking an extra octive louder. The acoustics in this place are not the greatest. Im sure based on its location though they rock to the night crowd. The decor was that of what you expext from a beer kitchen or brewery. Clean. Rustic and comfortable. The beer draft taps hanging from the ceiling were quite interesting. The natural light and lighting were a pleasant contrast. 8 out of 10, or 4 out of 5 stars.Now onto the food, what you came here for. I ordered a coffee. The brioche french toast, and 2 eggs over medium.The coffee was warm not hot, it wasnt burnt and tasted good. It was on the lighter side and tasted much like what you expect from a decaf. I rated this a 6.5 out of 10.The eggs were cooked right, seasoned with the right amount of salt and pepper, garnished with some parsley. A 8 out of 10.The brioche french toaste were quite equisate. They came 3 sliced cooked quite well. Topped off with salted pecans that slapped. Their were 2 slices of applewood smoked bacon on top and the syrup was a signature bourban syrup that was super unique and really brought the entire dish together. I give this a 10 out of 10.For dessert i ordered their baby donuts. They came in a brown bag with 2 dipping sauces. A fruit compote and a "cereal milk" anglaise.. both toppings complimented this home made donut hole feel and really went down smooth. There is quite enough to make this a shareable dessert or a fun appetizer to set off the taste buds. Laura Williams: The food is great here! Great place for a burger! I ordered the brickhouse burger and fries. They make their own ketchup, which I enjoyed. The portion sizes are reasonable and the service was quick! We made reservations to make sure we got a seat. It was t crowded that day, but I would recommend you make a reservation if you have more than four people.

Nathan Smith: Slow service to start even early on a Saturday. Beer menu is missing the style of beer or has incorrect names of what you’re ordering. Pony size beer is small (6oz) for the price.Food was quick, and good! We got asked for appetizers and entrees all in one order. The appetizer never came, the entrees came quick. At least the appetizer was also missing from the bill. Fries don’t come with the burger or sandwich - they are $4 extra.

Matt Stephens: Very weird experience last night. They were serving everything in disposable dishes. Plastic everything isn’t quite the date night vibe we were going for. When they brought the food, they didn’t give my girlfriend silverware or napkins. And my shepherd’s pie was quite a bit smaller than anticipated. For $15, I expected more. Frankly, I expected much more from the overall experience. Probably won’t ever be back, and definitely won’t recommend it. It would take a downright horrible experience for me to leave fewer than 3 stars. Most wouldn’t be as generous.

Tiffaney Grimes: GREAT food! And at a good price too. Music was very loud and we did have to wait a little bit for our initial drink order but it gave us time to decide on everything we wanted. And the music wasn't bad, just felt like a party was happening downstairs complete with a beach ball flying around. But I've been there before when they had more traditional Irish music playing and a live dancer. Pretty cool place. But night time is loud! So don't expect to have a close conversation.

Ryan V: This is my BRGR replacement. Great hole in the wall place with history. Live shows on the stage some nights, great prices on food/drinks. I am truly glad to have found this place.It’s a short walk East from either the Crossroads or Kauffman Center stop on the KC StreetCar line. Chad Rapp: Absolutely love Brewers Kitchen. Staff is extremely friendly, local beer selection is fantastic and the food is nothing short of amazing. Ive had just about every thing on the menu in the last 6 months of visiting and have never been disappointed. Their house made Honey Mustard is exceptional and wish I could buy gallons of it for back home it's that good.The food really is the star of the show, you can tell nothing is frozen and everything is fresh and made to order. If you want the best burger in KC, you need to come in to Brewers Kitchen.

Took 9 people in today to an almost empty restaurant and they refused to seat us because they “don’t do tables for more than 8” but could seat us a different tables but not together because “they couldn’t handle that many tickets at once”. Too bad because we’ll never go back again and they lost out on $300 of sales when there weren’t more than 10 people in the place to start with. We were denied the ability to set together as a family. Sorry we didn’t read you “website policy” prior to entering the establishments I’ve been to your restaurant before (w/ a party 8+) and were excited to share your restaurant with family who’d never been there before. Instead we were met with rudeness and inflexibility. There was no realistic reason we could not have been seated together (would you agree to be seated apart from your family? Seriously doubt it.) The restaurant was not that busy as to accommodate our group. We instead took our business down the road to Torn Label (a MUCH smaller venue that was much busier) and gladly handed over our money in exchange for their wonderful hospitality then to KC Bier Co. All revenue you lost out on.)It’s unfortunate that you’ve taken such a defensive position rather than training staff to be flexible and accommodating.

Russ Utter: This place is trash. If you want to be treated like a common criminal, then this is your place. A friend and I were walking up the stairs to get a drink at the rooftop bar because the line down below was long. I had been up there earlier that same night for the same reason. Unbeknownst to us the rooftop bar had closed. There was no sign indicating such. Someone yelled at us (turned out to be a bouncer), so we turned around and he shined a very bright LED flashlight right in our eyes blinding us. I raised my left hand trying to block the light from blinding me and flipped him off with my right hand because he continued to shine the light in our eyes. Next thing, 3 bounces rushed at us, grabbed us, yelled at us, and told us they were kicking us out. I asked why and they said cause I flipped them off and that the upstairs was closed. I told them we didn’t know the upstairs was closed, it wasn't marked as such, and I flipped them off cause they kept shinning the light directly in our eyes and it blinded us. Of course they didn’t apologize for blinding us with the light, and proceeded to kick us out, shoving us from behind as we voluntarily left.
