Centriq Training: what do users think?
Via Gedern: Centriq is a great facility and Tim is extremely professional and helpful.
G Jay: I have high praise for the staff at the KC campus. I am a former student who needed some paperwork from my time there, and while this was a pretty routine request, I was still really impressed with the quickness and courtesy of reception and accounting.I am very glad I went to Centriq. I am definitely not the smartest person and had to work harder than most others, but having this training on my resume has helped me get a job for 30k a year more than I was making at the job I left to go to Centriq. And even though I don't technically have an IT job, I still find that I use what I learned quite a bit at work.If I can make it, anyone can. If you're needing an income boost and some new skills you should get in touch with this school.
alex staufenbiel: Nice campus I look forward to going to class there
Stephen Wakefield: Curriculum: 4/5Teachers: 5/5Price: 2/5Resume/Interview assistance: 5/5Job Success Rate: 3/5I went through the full stack development program in Oct 2017. C# is Centriq's language of choice and there is a reason for that. It is an extremely popular coding language in the midwest. The instructors are all fantastic and the curriculum is extensive for a 4 month program: c#, sql, javascript, etc... Take advantage of their HR depts resume building and mock interviews. It is fair to say it is overpriced, but for me it was worth it. For my class the success rate of getting a job right away (after 2 months) was about 60 percent. I was fortunate to get a job before I graduated but I had self studied in Javascript and PHP for three years (highly recommend Lynda.com essential training courses to see if you like programming first before paying a lot of money for training you don't want). You get what you put into this program in my case. I am giving this review because I want to not because I was asked to do this. Sadly you DO need some kind of credible education to land that first programming job unless you are extremely fortunate or network well.
Kyle Ronen: The building was extremely well kept and welcoming inside. The outside was fine but it made no lasting impression on me. There was a new Jaguar I-Pace in the parking lot so that was really cool to see. Tim was the staff member who checked me in and was extremely kind and even indulged in some casual conversation that made me feel welcomed. The entire process was handled effectively and professionally. I had issues with the tests wording, spelling (very few instances), and sentence structure causing me to be unsure of what the full and accurate question was. But I passed my test and had an overall great experience locating and using this facility!
Alex Caskey: I took a certification test there. They were very courteous and professional.
Marnie Boyd: Critical:Communication,Quality,Value
Ryan: Nice building and staff but the screens in the testing room are old and hard to read from. As I continue testing for certifications, I'll have to look for another venue.
Lulu's Big Adventure: Polite staff. Accommodated an early arrival. Good Covid practices. And woohoo, I passed.
Troy: I took a test here and not training. The testing administration was quick, professional, and C19 level clean.
Daniel Boyd: Let me start by saying that I'm a senior software engineer with over a decade in the industry. I work largely on enterprise cloud applications as a full stack engineer and architect.Having witness and assisted an individual going through their curriculum I strongly advise against attending Centriq. It's a horrific waste of time and money and I actively advise against hiring Centriq grads at my current employer due to what I experienced. What little they actually "teach" you is either incorrect, immensely dated, or bad practice. Most, if not all, of their instructors seem to be failed software engineers that graduated from Centriq, got 1-2 years of experience (at most as some had none) and came back to teach as they couldn't actually do their jobs. You'll end up having to relearn almost everything they cover. As such you are better off pursuing self paced learning from online courses. You'll learn more relevant and up-to-date coding practices and topics without being mislead. You'll save yourself a lot of money as well. They have little concern if you actually understand what they teach you. They don't care if you are struggling. They don't care if you find a job. They just want your money. Their main concern is to convince you to stay in the program long enough to get your money. I can only assume they are lying about how many graduates find jobs. Last my acquaintance checked, no one from her class had managed to find a job. Most had given up and returned to previous work.Take it from an experienced professional in the field. Don't go to Centriq. If I see a resume from a Centriq grad, I'm tossing it. Save your money and don't reward these con artist.
Kathy Owens-Walker: I have to select at least one star to post a review, otherwise I would have given them zero stars. This place is definitely not the place to go for people without any prior IT experience. My son was 19 years old when he went through their program Fall/Winter 2018/2019...6 students in his group and only one person found a job...which he had years if prior experience, but needed up to date knowedglede. His job didn't even work out though. I wish I would have given this review a long time ago. My son wishes he'd never had went there...because he's $24,000 in debt now & is going to JCCC to get more in-depth training on the things Centriq touced on for a week then moved onto the next subject. I like to know the REAL number for more people without any prior IT experience job placement. I'm reporting them to the BBB.
Dustin Allen: Nice new facility, friendly staff, will wait to 5 star until I pass the test :)
Christopher Christensen: Came for PMP prep training. Bill Lewis has a wealth of experience and does a great job with what is needed to prepare for the exam.
cam metcalf: I was trained here, there is some very valuable information to be had... And some very wonderful people to meet.
Douglas Hoff: As an instructor at Centriq, I can't be completely objective. But after teaching in a large junior college in California, a local college here, Oracle University locations, and many small classrooms, I can honestly say Centriq has the best administration and staff that I've ever seen.Centriq grew from a small operation 25 years ago to where we've had the need to take over an entire building to house its career training program and corporate classes. I've taught both types and respect how they've put the student's desire to be trained for an IT job first and not just to acquire certificates. There's a reason why they've lasted when their competitors have not.Instructors will go where they feel like they are both learning and making a difference in students' lives. Sometimes that means they have to leave teaching to learn from the real world. More teachers have stayed at Centriq than I've ever seen except in an academic tenure situation. We teach classes of one or two when useful but always love a large class like those of the 16 week Microsoft web developer or network admin tracks. I can see those students making a difference in Kansas City, and now St. Louis, regions. One of my favorite students was making six figures in four years after his graduation.I regularly speak with the account representatives and find that they encourage a relationship with their clients and not just try to sell my classes. I love getting on the phone with them so people understand what's in my classes. They don't really have to do much to gain clients' trust since we have a good reputation in KC.So, I would be a student without hesitation if I wasn't teaching all the time. My time away from the classroom is spent studying and developing new classes. I really can't think how we could do much better and if you have any feedback, I'm sure you can find me online or just come visit us.
Quintin Dublin: Great IT classes
Jason Allee: First off, the first person you meet at Centriq (Russ) is a manipulative liar. I went there to learn coding, all my placement tests confirmed that I'd be perfect for coding, since my brain seems to be able to easily find mistakes and inconsistencies in patterns. For whatever reason Russ went out of his way to talk me out of coding and into the IT Admin side of things. Sure, my fault for going along with it.Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Centriq, and made some friends along the way. The problem didn't become apparent until I graduated and began to look for a job. I slowly started to realize that all the advertising of "you will be paid more" was aimed at high school kids and factory workers who would be thrilled to get a $35k a year job. I set my sights on $45k (a $10k pay drop for me) and was laughed at by the career services person. Still I applied and applied for hundreds of jobs. After 8 months of being turned down over and over again I gave up. So thanks Centriq for making me waste $22,000 and 4 month of my life to be turned down from lower paying jobs.IT Admin jobs will not hire you if you have visible tattoos and piercings, no matter how well you learn and understand the material. Should've just stuck with coding. Now I have to teach myself since I used the last of my GI Bill to learn skills that people with tattoos can't do apparently.
Christian Goben: I don't know what to say other than that centriq changed my life. I went from being a data entry clerk to an employed full-stack developer in less than 4 months. If you're dedicated and love to learn this place can do wonders for you.
Bud Oyler: People really care about your education!
Matt Lang: Great learning environment

Pinnacle Career Institute - North Kansas City: what do users think?
Joey Kon: Telecommunication Tower Technician level 1 student. The staff is friendly and supportive, the instructors are capable and knowledgeable, and the courses are easy to follow.
Carley Franklin: My instructors Henry and Joseph were very knowledgeable. Staff and especially the instructors were very kind, friendly, and helpful. I found the course material to be relevant to the trade I was going into. I would recommend this school to anyone thinking of going into the fields the school offers.
Pumpkin Studios: l really appreciated the in person classes with caring teachers who answered our questions and made us think to find solutions. They provided hands on experience and helpful explanations by teachers who really wanted us to succeed.
Marcus Sealy: I just recently graduated from the HVAC program and can't say enough great things about it. The instructors really make the program a success. Joe and Henry are patient and it's obvious that they really care about sharing their experiences and knowledge and creating competent and successful HVAC technicians. Attending Pinnacle Career Institue has definitely set me on a strong path to a better future.
A. Jr Huerta: Well today was the Day I Graduated from the HVAC classroom and bootcamp, one of the Best decision I made. Mr Henry and Mr Joe where the so helpful on our ten day bootcamp covering the aspects of HVAC I got my 608 EPA universal license after a few attempts and this was because I didn’t follow instructions to study so if you really want to pass on your first attempt plz study, I learned a lot of valuable skills to apply in the field! But the learning program and instructors met my expectations and some! Joe and Henry are very knowledgeable and good instructors and have great communication skills it’s a Great program for the individual with a full schedule and responsibilities that has aspirations to futhering theirselves in life. Thank you Pinnacle Career Institute for helping me futher my knowledge and getting me certified in HVAC but Mostly Thank you Mr. Joe and Henry for all the knowledge shared with us.
David Mullins: I just graduated from Pinnical with the HVAC program. My instructors Joe Akeem and Henry Grigsby were the best teachers that I’ve had and couldn’t have asked them both to be better because everything that I would need in the field they made sure I knew from top to bottom on troubleshooting the best way they could with the time we had so I would highly recommend anyone wanting to do HVAC and other programs to get in touch with them especially the hvac program you just can’t get any better
Alex Combs: I had a great experience during my time in the HVAC program. When I got to boot camp i didn’t know what to expect. Joe and Henry my instructors made all that go away shortly after I got there. It was relieving to have my instructors that have been in the field and could put me in scenarios that i full believe I will come upon once I’m in the field. Honestly 5 stars isn’t enough I would go 6/5 if I could and 10/5 to your instructors joe and Henry. I would recommend the hvac program to anyone knowing I know they’ll get a great experience from the instructors.
Bill Cartright: I couldve have joined a better team, the education, people and services are outstanding when you come to PCI its the best experience of my life . Thanks to everyone who made it happen for me!
Ronald Chears: This was amazing experience and life changing . The best HVAC school
Stephen Cole: My experience at pinnacle was great my instructors joe & Henry were amazing and very knowledgeable. And could break down the concept of HVAC so that anyone could understand it. They actually take the time to make sure each individual is on the same page no one gets left behind. Also want to thank Mr. Elton for being the first contact he got me through the process and was also someone I was able to reach out to when I had an issue about something. And Nikki was definitely very helpful because of her I was able to make it to boot camp while still being able to provide for my family. Thank you pinnacle.
Mr Jay: I enjoyed the HVAC classroom and bootcamp Mr Henry and Mr Joe did a great ten day bootcamp covering the aspects of HVAC I got my 608 EPA universal license and learned a lot of valuable skills to apply in the field! My only complaint is I was told I would receive $5,000.00 in tools in reality it was about $2,000.00 in tools. So be straight up about that and tell the students real life value of tools or give more tools like field pieces ect. If your going to say $5,000.00 in tools! But the learning program and instructors met my expectations and some! Joe and Henry are very knowledgeable and good instructors! Great program for the individual with a full schedule and responsibilities that has aspirations to futhering theirselves in life. Nikki was helpful and very nice and good at handling all the bootcamp information and clarifying any and all questions! Thank you Pinnacle Career Institute for helping me futher my knowledge and getting me certified in HVAC! Great program!
scottie reeves: Pinnacle career Institute HVAC ,I enjoyed the training, I learned more than I expected to learn. Excellent instructors, Jo and Henry. Aww man these guys are very knowledgeable and they helped us along the way if we didn't understand something, they made sure we understood what does what and why. If we stumbled on something they went out of the way to work with us until we got it. Couldn't ask for better instructors, HVAC class was very interesting and fun.
Laycee Lay: I honestly really liked my time spent at this school. They taught a lot in depth and anything the curriculum rushed through too fast was luckily remedial near the end of the course. Something I never really see in vocational occupational lol. I would say the program might not be in depth enough or long enough for its intended field. At least considering what they are educating us for. However, this was one of the best schooling experiences Ive had in a long time. I'm glad I went.
Garrett Parm: Great place to go if you are looking to get into HVAC or to get further certified. Teachers and staff are great, very helpful and considerate of the students own situation Joe was a great teacher, Nikki was very helpful on interview practice and with resumes, and Sherry came through with a high energy and a great attitude! I’m definitely happy to have chosen this route.
Vesna Touch: Joe was a very great instructor, knows what the students know before hand and gave us a great learning and boot camp experience.
Ralph H.: I knew that I needed a competitive edge to get back into the industry. I made a call to PCI, and that call changed my life. I attended PCI in June of 2021, enrolled in Telecommunications Tower Program, and graduated in February of 2022. I work for one of the best tower companies in the country. I have options to travel, or stay local and most importantly, I enjoy my new profession. PCI helped me take my career to new heights. Are you ready to climb higher?
Kevin Ledet: Money well spent. Learned a lot. Instructor is very hands on and knowledgeable. Thanks Pinnacle!!
James Wolfe: Predatory school.
Thomas Jackson: Jobseekers beware. From my experience, they treat their candidates poorly. They promise jobs without following through. From what I’ve read, they treat their employees just as bad. Indeed reviews say they’re more likely to fire you without reason than give you a promotion.I appreciate companies that I know treat their employees well. This company seems not to.
Dee Dee McGehee: I went for medical assistant and my instructor is absolutely amazing and she definitely knows her stuff!!! The staff is awesome and I would recommend that you go there
Brian Johnson: One of the best schools I've ever attended. My brother and his best friend followed me to go to this school because I got several job offers after graduation. After Electronics Institute Graduated I went to a local university and made 4.0 in all classes. Then I started in computers. My career has been amazing and I do want to thank them.

Career Education Systems: what do users think?
David Pham: One of the best places in Kansas City to get your license in Real Estate! They’re friendly, organized, and very knowledgeable. I’d recommend this place to anyone!
Chen Yehuda: I signed up for a 6-day in person course for getting ready to take the Missouri salesperson exam. I didn't want to do an online course because I wanted to be able to ask questions and get answers from an instructor face to face. Throughout the whole 4 days I was there, I asked only four questions; some of the time the instructor just ignored me because of their "not answering questions" policy, and then on the last day I was there, at the end of the day he told me "we told you from the beginning that you can't ask questions". The most rude part was that he told me maybe it's a language barrier and you don't understand how things work here. I found this to be very disrespectful and unprofessional. What is the point of a course if the teacher is not willing to help the students and answer questions?I recommend everyone to do this course online or in another school because this one does not give you anything except a waste of time.By the way, for those that go to this class anyway and find yourself in Richards class, you will find out it's not really a class, it's just "The Richard Show" where he tells you for half of the course how you should be scared from the PSI test and the other half is history stories that have nothing to do really with the class and the stuff that's really important. He will tell you that your questions are for his CE classes and not for this class.Don't try to ask questions because they don't like it there. He will just not answer you.
ashley smith: Not yet a review but a question, would one recommend the day or evening classes?
Latonia Smith: I passed both National and State Exams on the 1st try and much thanks goes to the structure and layout of Mark's teaching!! I'm so glad I decided to do the evening classes given the wealth of knowledge Mark provided as well as the flexibility that the evening classes offered to me.
Special Touch Care LLC: The textbook for this class was a fill in the blank book. As I was trying to study, nothing made any since. If I knew what I know now. I would have gotten a different study book to help me.
Raymond Donk (Mxge): Rebekah is soo helpful and is awesome. (Give her a $10000 bonus pls)
Lindsay Robichaux: Rebecca helped me correct an error I made (in signing up for the wrong online course) in no time and handled the issue with such grace and kindness. Thank you and I look forward to taking more classes here in the future.
Alfredo Sampayo: I absolutely loved the training CES provided. I took the training in person.I passed my RE License in Kansas the first time I took the exam.Heather Holmes is an incredible instructor and I highly recommend CSE for anybody who is looking into getting their RE License.
Kristy Robinson: Mr. Wright is amazing and hilarious, he kept control of the classroom 99.9% of the time. We all know how crazy adult education can get, he kept us on track the entire time. I passed both the national and state exam on the first try, and I will always choose C.E.S. for my C.E. classes in the future. Exam smart was well worth the money, I highly recommend it if you aren't confident after taking the pre-license course.
Angela Shopper - Wingman RE Associates - KW: I have found some great alternative trainings here for CE.. great ones like financing and they always have availability for your core classes when they might be always full at the board. I like the classes here
Little Miss Know it all: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Lindsey Milligan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI would recommend this school for ANYONE interested in real estate. They truly care about your success and want you to pass your test!! I am so glad I chose this class, I passed my exam and just enrolled for the practice course!! Every time I call up there they are so happy and ready to help. Trust me, this is the best program!
Hassledbytheman: Great school, talented teaching staff. Highly recommended
rene nunez: This is the best Education System for Real Estate Agent Richard Profesor one of the best in the area so thankful to be part of this class in my way to pass the exam really high recommend good JOB Reach
A Pantoja: Highly recommend going to this school for a Real Estate class.
Camie Masai worrier: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueIf you are looking for a Real Estate school, this is the place to be. Richard Wright is your guy for MO license. All you need to do is pay attention in class and take good notes. His teaching is good, you have to follow along. Amazing guy.Thank you CES! I passed my exam.
Grecia Arteaga: Always very friendly. Clean facilities. Great information.
Kimberly Killian: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueStarted my pre-license 25 years ago at the Ward Parkway location, and I continue with my CE online. CES instructors are great, miss the daily jokes that Mark used to give in the classroom setting.
Lauryn King: Always a great place to learn.
Andrew Mullins: I've completed many different certifications and extra curricular education programs over the years. The pre-exam salesperson license by CES was one of my all time favorites. Yes, they go FAST and you're cramming a ton of information in over 6 days, but the way they teach is superb. The teachers are fun and energetic and the time passes quickly. Heck, I aced my test!
Mea Frank: Larry and Conrad are good teachers they go fast but, I kept up pretty good. I was all ready to take my exam fresh out of class but, then the shutdown happened and the testing sites closed now I'm not sure how I'll do w/o fresh instruction.5/28/2020 - 5 stars I just passed my exam today both parts!!! Thank you God and thank you to the teachers!Great school

Josep Baxter: Nice
Jodi Howell: Great fieldtrip for scouts
Ezriyah SCOTT: This place will change your life from a job to a Career it’s worth all your time.
Shane Poston: Good place for training
shawn vance: Great school because Ironworkers are the Best thats why!!! We work in extremely dangerous situations where anything at any given moment could go wrong especially without proper training COVID or NO COVID we have to constantly stay educated through refreshers by our great instructors who do truly care about our safety. Knowing what I know we always have a choice wether we do or not wanna do anything we think might be unsafe. So considering what we do and risks we take daily in our trade our training and schooling is always first and will never be allowed to be put on a back burner even over a cold pandemic, the risks that are at stake if we were to stop our ongoing educational training and safety training is way higher than anything else, so before you judge throw a harness and some bolt bags on and come stand on the iron with us for a day and you'll understand why we would choose to continue classes and training.
liv r.: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThey stayed open with a positive covid case, nor do they require masks in large settings. They did not cancel school on the worst day of the year even when NKC School District has closed. They truly do not care about the safety of their own students. Terrible facility.

M. Eric Hovey: A well and needed establishment that helps to train apprentices with instruction for their particular UNION trade. Also, gives the opportunity for journeymen to enhance their abilities and keep current with ever changing aspects of building. ShadowGamer_ Plays: THIS SCHOOL LOOKS AMAZING I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO BUILD ROBOTS AND SELL THEM AND HOPEFULLY THIS SCHOOL COULD TEACH ME
Diana Thomas: The Ged program sucks there . When new people are enrolled it makes you have to start over until the new students catch up. I was on level four and had to wait for the new students to catch up. I didn't like it. No teachers, they have to text when they have a teacher to teach the class. I really wish there was another way to get my diploma.
