A.J Cruz: We had Roy from Crystal Productions as our DJ. Roy was so professional and did an outstanding job as emcee and DJ. We really needed help with having someone in charge of the flow of our wedding reception, and he exceeded our expectations! Not only did Roy keep the dance floor fun and family-friendly, but also he checked in with us throughout the night to see how things were going and communicated about the upcoming events (cake cutting, shoe game, anniversary dance, etc.). Crystal Productions provides clients with an app where you can request songs and dedications. The app is easy to use and was a big help, as we could add songs any time up until our final meeting. At our final meeting before the wedding, Roy went over our requests and asked a lot of questions about our guests and series of events. He really got to know us and our event needs, which made our dance a blast! We highly recommend Crystal Productions for any wedding DJ services!

When we reached out with questions and concerns, he would say he would get back to me and never did.

From making sure we had drinks, to getting out on the dance floor for a dance battle with my family.. he is hands down THE BEST DJ I have ever worked with! Brandon did out photo booth! Our photo booth was perfect guests loved it, kept using it all night and I have a perfect book with a copy of all the pictures in it for memories. It was honestly the BEST decision I could have made to hire this company and you need to go with them if you want the best night!

Joshua Cogell: TLDR: The stress caused by the lack of communication leading up to the event was not worth booking them for my wedding. I would not recommend them to anyone planning their wedding. If I could go back, then I would buy speakers, a microphone, and build all my playlists on Spotify.The initial meeting was fine and they were able to fulfill all my request and present a contract. After this contact and request of payments I tried to reach crystal productions for 3 weeks about a month prior to my event. I called both numbers that were provided every couple of days for 3 weeks. I messaged my questions through the app. I messaged my questions through the website form. I emailed a few people directly. After all of this I received one email back saying that they would be to my questions. It was abysmal. I have never worked with such an unprofessional company before. Finally I got a text directly from the owner and he just gave me a DJs number. I had to reach out to this DJ to setup a meeting. My first and only meeting with this DJ was the Tuesday prior to the event on Saturday.The DJ was fine on the night of the event. He did everything expected of a DJ at a private event. However, he did not play the version of the bridal song that my wife picked out to walk down the aisle.

We had a few hiccups and due to his professionalism, quick wit, and passion, everyone thought it was all part of the plan. He was able to change and adapt with everything that popped up that was not planned for and took it all in stride and even improved upon it.With his expertise and commitment he helped us get through the planning and timelines and make this reception the best it could be. Roy was so thoughtful and considerate of every aspect and facet of the celebration and the people attending it was incredible. If you need a DJ you need to contact Crystal Pro. Hands down you will not find anyone or any company that will exceed your expectations like Roy and his crew can.

Roy addressed all of my questions and made me feel confident in booking with them. A DJ can really make or break a reception and we were very fortunate to have Axel there. I was so impressed with him! We had a quick call a week before the wedding to make sure he had all the details, and he was so laid back and easy to work with. At the wedding, we had multiple guests and our day of coordinator comment how nice he was and on top of our schedule. My husband and I did a last dance once all the guests had left the building and Axel started the song then slipped outside so that we could have time together which was so thoughtful and I didn't even think to ask him to do that. If you are needing a DJ for an event, you don't have to look anywhere else. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Our DJ was Mike, he was so easy to work with prior to the wedding and made the reception run so smoothly! Mike kept the dance floor full and made sure to play all our "must-haves". The photo booth was a fun addition to our reception and we loved getting the binder of photos at the end of the night. Our only minor complaint was that the pages in the photo booth binder could've been used more effectively so more photos could've been added (some pages only had one photo and others had 3-4). We missed out on getting some of the photos from the end of the night because the book was already full. Otherwise, we had a great experience with Crystal Productions and would recommend!

Rauni O: Don't work for them if you need consistent pay. The pay is NOT worth the effort you put in. Communication is terrible and extremely unprofessional. I was asked to go to St Louis (from KC) with less than 24hrs notice. When they asked me prior, with a week's notice, to go to St Louis they didnt pay for overnight stay since the travel time is 4hr there- 7hrs of shift-4hrs back in the middle of the night. I felt it was too dangerous to drive so I got lodging and it cost over 2/3 of the base pay. They WILL penalize you for being less than 5mins late. They'll also penalize you for any negative feedback you receive (up to your paycheck amount). This is a MERIT BASED PAY SYSTEM. And if they do work things out with clients, you still end up having your paycheck withheld for a MONTH. Don't count on this job to help pay rent. If you want to be a dj, it'd be better to save up with a consistent job and then buy your own equipment. I know this job wasn't for me because I'm a more reserved person, but the hoops I had to jump through just to get paid were insane. I tried my hardest and only ended up losing money on all the travel and expenses. I've spent the past month or so just trying to figure out why I haven't been paid for all the times I worked.Edit: They won't pay me what they owe me because I won't change my review/delete it.

Torri Secor: I did not use DJ Connection, but did have conversations with a couple of people. Here my experience:I apparently won a discount for just signing up for a bridal expo that I was unable to attend. I received 3 e-mails, 2 phone calls and a text before I had the chance to speak with them. That was a little much if you ask me. I understand that discounts expire, but this was too much. I still talked to them and ended up finding out that i also, apparently, was going to receive an extra $500 discount for March Madness. Not a bad deal. I ended our second call letting the guy know that I needed to talk to my fiance about it before I paid anything. Of course they couldn't hold my date for me, but i understand. Anyway, my fiance and I ended up meeting with another company and decided to go with the other. The family has used them before and they were super friendly and offered a TON. When I called DJ Connection back, the tone changed from happy to flat out rude. A simple, thank you and we understand, would have sufficed. Instead, I got comments such as, " Well they probably only have 2 DJ's so if both get sick, you're out money." "well, they probably don't offer insurance or anything like we do." To which I responded and said, " Thank you for your help i really appreciate it." And they ended by saying " yeah, ok, bye." and hanging up . I get it, you offered your time to explain things and go through things with me, but I was just looking into. I do my research and do not just choose the first company that pops up.All in all, I will avoid this company for any future events just based on the rudeness of our last conversation.

He was very professional and kind. And he calmed my nerves when I was worried about a ceremony song. DJ connection production was quick to answer questions and sent email updates and reminders of things we needed to do before the big day! Loved them all!

Betty Jones: We found DJ Connection at a wedding expo and they had the best deal. The guys were super friendly and everyone we talked to on the phone was so nice and amazing. They called a week before the big day to confirm everything. The day of, our Dj was amazing. He totally understood the vibe and would check in with us to see if we still wanted to do all the activities that were originally on our timeline. He was flexible and I just told him to go with the vibe and play whatever to keep people dancing. They did mess up our first dance song.. they played the original version of the song instead of the acoustic version that we wanted. Not a huge deal since it was the same song but....... lol. We had a diverse crowd and he went through extremely different genres throughout the night and even did some heavy dubstep for my headbanging rave friends lol. It was a good time and Dylan was awesome!!!

Kathryn Cepeda: We would totally recommend!!! I was a little nervous when we booked with them, because I saw several negative reviews about their company on line. I was super transparent and reached out to them to express my concerns and they were so professional and honest with me. Our DJ (we were originally assigned CJ but we got Dylan) did a phenomenal job! DJ Dylan keep the crowd moving and checked in with my husband and I throughout the night. He was so professional and just a pleasure to work with. Even when guests got a little crazy he still keep thr party going. The company uses an online portal for selecting songs. It is super easy to use and helped keep me organized. My only complaint is the wrong version of our 1st dance song was played. (Easily could have been an error on our end. But I’m pretty sure I added the right version to the portal….) This wasn’t a huge deal to us, but something I wish I had triple checked. Overall we had a great experience with DJ Connection and Dylan!!!

Sydney Lual: They’re only getting this many stars because the planning process with the office was smooth & easy. However, the actual DJ we got apparently didn’t listen or didn’t get informed. I gave the DJ a DETAILED timeline & must-know packet that had everything he needed to know song wise, just in case. However, during our ceremony he started playing the song I was walking down the aisle to WAY too early. Before the ceremony started, a bridesmaid went down to do a mic check, which I was told by the company would be done, because she was singing during the ceremony. When she got down there, he told her “The mics work, why do you need to check them.” During the reception, he only played MAYBE 3 of our “‘must play” songs. I guess he thought he knew what I wanted more than I did? I worked hard on our “must play” list for months to make sure all people at our wedding had a good time. And guess what, the only time they were having a good time was when MY songs were played. On the day of, I was far too busy to tell him that he wasn’t doing what I wanted, but I was very disappointed. My reception was something I worked hard planning & was looking forward to, & the DJ managed to make it severely underwhelming.If you don’t read all that, just read this. DO NOT book DJ connection. You don’t get to talk to the DJ that will be at your actual wedding ever, or at least not til the day of, and although the office staff is great, I can’t say the same about the DJ we got.

Jessica Cumberland: We had DJ connection at our wedding ceremony and reception. They were rated as a VIP vendor for our venue and came very highly recommended. The entire process working with them was excellent. They are very professional and polite, but also very very funny and outgoing. Their hold music is hilarious. They were able to provide everything we needed and even were able to provide a performance package last minute for our ceremony musicians.We had DJ Kyle at our wedding and he was very outgoing and got everyone dancing but also was very polite and patient with us and was able to answer all of our questions and move at our pace. DJ Kyle even played the mother-son dance song for my dad before the wedding started to confirm that we had the correct version of the song downloaded. He was very professional and dressed and behaved appropriately the entire time while still being involved and having fun. You can tell he clearly enjoys what he does and it was a pleasure to have him at our wedding.

Kathryn Durham: Struggling between 2 and 3 stars for this review because our DJ was really nice and easy to talk to, but I wouldn’t recommend them. They were difficult to get into contact with and kept sending important info to my mother’s email instead of my own even though we provided them with that information pretty early on. The biggest issue that put a slight damper on my day was playing the completely wrong song for my walk down the aisle. Supremely disappointing as it was picked specifically by the groom & was an important song to him. My bridesmaids/sisters tried to tell him that the song was totally wrong and he argued with them about it & according to them was a bit rude. We had just done a rehearsal the night before and we practiced with the song my husband had chosen. Wish he would have listened or at least contacted me about the song beforehand. Reception was pretty good and he was nice, but the song issue was really disappointing for us.

Tomi Akitunde: I worked with Pro DJ KC almost two years ago for my wedding. Choosing to work with them was the worst decision, and left an ugly mark on what should have been a special day as it put me in contact with a DJ who was incredibly unprofessional. He was hours late, which delayed my wedding by an hour, and was unable to properly set up, leading to faulty mics (the mic cut out on our rabbi, and during the best man, maid of honor, and fathers of the bride and groom speeches) and music fails right and left (the music that was supposed to play when we officially became husband and wife didn't play, and the DJ bungled the music at multiple points during the reception).I incurred hundreds of dollars of expenses because of working with Pro DJ KC. Rusty said he would refund our $200 deposit, and that he would give us the money we incurred from having to pay vendors due to the DJ's tardiness. It took weeks before we got the $200, and we never received a payment of the extra costs incurred.What's worse is that the DJ we worked with—in response to my negative review, which he initially agreed with until it affected his business—had me blocked from accessing Facebook for a day, and he and his wife cyber harassed me. They also go the review taken off other sites, claiming that since I worked with him through Pro DJ KC, my beef should be with them. When I reached out to Pro DJ KC to ask for their help as I wanted to file a complaint, they never responded.Besides leaving bad reviews on wedding vendor sites, I declined to go after them further because I was told by someone who worked there that they were closing when they booked my wedding (which, if I had known, I wouldn't have worked with them in the first place). However, seeing that they're still around, I felt compelled to share my experience on Google. Be weary of working with Pro DJ KC.

Hannah Reid: My partner and I are OVER THE MOON with how Platinum DJ, and especially our DJ Galen, were throughout our whole wedding process. Platinum DJ made to planning/music selection so fun and easy and were super responsive to any/all questions I had through the process.I could sing Galen's praises until I'm blue in the face, truly. I feel like we couldn't have gotten partnered up with a better fit of our vibe/wedding. He was super professional but very personable and heard us out on any questions/suggestions/comments we had. He was incredibly communicative, and was super flexible when we bumped around our timeline the day before the wedding. At the wedding itself, he was incredibly helpful, checked in with us constantly, and matched the vibes that we wanted perfectly. He checked in with us on when we wanted to make the change to explict rap (our favorite genre) and also personally walked around and released tables for dinner since we opted for no table numbers/seating arrangements. He was incredibly kind, personable, and overall just such a cool person through the whole process. He had us feel relaxed and we are both super duper thankful for him!

Holly Du: I will start of by saying that Cole, our DJ, was fantastic. I had made some playlists for him of music we liked, and he pretty much stuck to those and didn’t go rogue (we had some pretty firm boundaries about the music we didn’t want to have played). Initially contacting him was a little difficult; however, this was rectified quickly, and he was really prompt ever since. My only complaint is that he played the clean versions of songs (we didn’t have any kids at the wedding, so playing the explicit versions wasn’t going to be an issue). If I were to solely be rating Cole, I would give him a 4.8/5.The company as a whole is the reason why they are missing stars. Communication with them was poor. When I had reached out and told them what we needed, about three weeks went by before I got a response to enter into a contract with them (the contract with signed a little less than two months before our wedding). We were told we were going to be getting our DJ assignment shortly thereafter; however, a month went by and we hadn’t heard anything. It wasn’t until I emailed and asked that we finally got our assignment. This was a month before our wedding, which only added to the stress of trying to get last minute details sorted out.If you were to ask me if I would recommend them to future couples, I would say probably not based on the poor communication alone. Like I said, Cole was great, but the process of us finally getting set up with him was beyond chaotic (mostly to the fault of Platinum DJ, not him).

Callie Reynolds: DJ Mike Apollo was the DJ for our wedding through Platinum DJ. First off, Platinum DJ was so easy to work with. Missy answered all of our questions promptly and was willing to jump on a Zoom call to go over everything with us in the planning stage. Secondly, DJ Apollo was the reason our dance floor had people on it all night. Not only did he keep people on the dance floor, but he also helped ease our minds the day of our wedding. It is a crazy busy day and DJ Apollo was reassuring us that it was all good and he was there to help with whatever we needed. He was also very quick to communicate and schedule meetings with us in the planning process. He exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

lindsay lowe: DJ Mike Apollo is a must have for your wedding. We got so many compliments on him as our DJ and he kept the dance floor going all night. The best part about working with Mike is his positive energy and his knowledge. I didn’t have a wedding planner and he really helped out with things like timeline, communicating with other vendors, types of music to play and when, etc. He gave us unique ideas for things we could do at our reception to add in some extra fun and humor. He was great at directing and moving our timeline along as well. I trusted everything he put his input on because it is very clear he is invested in our day going as smooth and positive as it can go - it was no question that he truly cared about us and our memory of our day! We never had to worry with Mike as our DJ - book him!!!

Mike was always asking if there was more he could do for us throughout the reception and he kept the party going all night. We had many friends and family tell us during the reception that this was the most fun they had at a wedding before, and Mike played a huge roll in that. The Dance Floor was packed the entire night and my wife and I never stopped dancing. We would HIGHLY recommend Mike to anyone looking for a DJ that knows how to have a good time!

Rebekah Gibson: We had Adam as our DJ from this company and he gave me the exact dance floor I was looking for! He was also able to meet all of my song requests for the ceremony etc. The company has a super easy online portal to fill things out on. Adam was able to curate the perfect mix of high-school emo throwbacks with current dance hits as well. I don’t think I left the dance floor for a single minute once I got on it which is exactly what I wanted.

Staci Winsor: Axel was one of the best parts of our entire wedding day. He was well planned and all of our communications/timeline were well laid out on an organized Google Doc we shared together. He took time to get to know us a couple of weeks before the wedding so we could get on the same level with our expectations for the night. We didn’t have to pick out every last song. He took our initial list of a few songs and genres and ran with it in the best possible way. All night we kept receiving compliments on our music and DJ and how great of a party it was! Alyssa Gatewood: DJ Apollo was amazing!!! Music and dancing wassuper important to us- and he DELIVERED. Wehad people on the dance floor with us all nightlong! We barely left the dance floor!! And hetotally understood the vibe we wanted. All of themusic was so spot on to what we like! DJ Apollowas great at communicating with us the entiretime. He was incredibly helpful with cues, overallflow of events, and consistently asking if weneeded anything. He is very organized and paysattention to detail! If you're looking for an amazing DJ- look no further!!!

Taylor Tettambel: DJ Axel really was the best for our wedding reception! He came up with some great recommendations when we got stuck and followed through on what we wanted for our grand entrance! Everyone at Platinum DJ is warm and genuinely excited to be part of your big day!

Marley Brooks: We had DJ Josh for our wedding on 4/30/22 and he was OUTSTANDING!! He played the songs we requested, kept the flow of the evening, and so much fun! Our dance floor was everything we wanted and I cannot recommend Josh enough. If you are looking to dance the night away then book him now!!

Haley A: Honestly he was great for the ceremony and hyping the crowd up at first but then once we got into the dancing he was HORRIBLE. He would not take any requests from anybody not even the bride or groom. It was not his wedding it was ours.

Jenny Polivka: Very disappointed with how my DJ Kyle handled my wedding. He was lazy and did the bare minimum followed by lots of sarcasm. He was supposed to play music and provide microphones (which he didn’t) for the ceremony and when my now HUSBAND asked what Kyle could do to help he responded “Why is your lack of planning my problem?” Very rude workers helping me through this process too. I could honestly go on and on! Can’t believe this place has 5 stars!

Emily Taylor: Kyle didn’t listen to anything when he was supposed to be the “coordinator”. He “forgot” to do the entire scavenger hunt to make the bride and groom money instead of a dollar dance. He did not provide any ceremony music or the microphones they were supposed to have. He did not listen to the brides requests on explicit music times. Do not use this service.

Bri Maskus: DJ Kyle RUINED my friends wedding. He didn’t listen to any of their request and screwed up the whole schedule of the night. He was incredibly rude to the bride and entire wedding party. He didn’t follow through with anything he promised and then left early. Worst experience and “coordinator” ever
