Katherine Van Steenburgh: Whitefield Academy has been a wonderful place for our kids. The students care deeply about the whole child and work hard to help every kid grow and thrive academically, emotionally, physically, artistically, and socially. This school really is special. We have had a wonderful experience with both of our kids and they are very different kids. We have been SO impressed with the teachers and to us that is what really matters. Very thankful to be a part of this outstanding school community!
Michael Meador: I am a teacher at Whitefield Academy, and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone out there looking for a Christ-centered school that will help their children grow into mature people! The office staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and on top of things at all times. The other teachers are welcoming, encouraging, and clearly passionate about the students. I have never heard one of them say a single bad thing about any student, which is something I experienced in public school. And the students! Hard-working, respectful, and always a joy to be around. They make my day every time I see them.

Jill Coates: Fourteen years ago we moved to Kansas City in search of a classical Christian school to send our 5th grader, 3rd grader and Kindergartener. Two years ago our youngest, following in the footsteps of his two older siblings graduated from Whitefield Academy with honors. Although teachers and administrators have come and gone during these past thirteen years at Whitefield Academy, some with short tenures and others still there after 20 years of service, collectively they taught our children how to think on their own, to know the parts of speech and grammar so they could read and understand any text, to speak logically and to exhibit Christ like behaviour in their relationships.
Sarah Swanson: As a faculty member, I love teaching at Whitefield Academy because of the small class sizes! This aspect allows me to really get to know my students individually and helps me to prepare lesson plans to meet their needs and at their academic levels. It has also been a joy and privilege to be able to join my teaching with my faith. Instead of having to separate the two, my math classroom can point my students to God and the wonders of His creation!As a parent, I love that each of my children are part of small classrooms. They are known and loved by their teachers - individually seen and taught, nurtured and cared for. The Whitefield community feels like a family. We also enjoy the quality literature and rich curriculum our children are immersed in each day. Not only are they learning Scripture and hymns, but they are reading Great Books and classics, which have allowed them to dialogue with their grandparents and other adults who have also enjoyed these books from their childhood. They are digging deep foundations in math and writing. Not only are they in a school that strives for academic success, our children are in a school that seeks to shape and mold their character as well. In an unsettled culture and broken world, our children are having their foundations built on the One who is unchanging and forever Faithful!

Erikka Bryngelson: We have absolutely loved our experience at Whitefield. It is a phenomenal school where I can truly say they care about the well-being of every student. There is careful thought and intention behind every practice within the school. They go above and beyond to equip students with strong Christian principles while also providing an outstanding educational experience. We have been so impressed with Classical Christian Education and how well it prepares every student. This school has been an answer to prayer and a blessing to our family. I highly recommend it!
Kea Cole: We have been at Whitefield Academy for three years and we absolutely love it! This year in particular has been an emotional rollercoaster for my family. The community of Whitefield literally held our hands, filled our bellies and sowed so much love and support to us that it was truly God sent. Nilson goes: We are entering our second year at Whitefield Academy and have made the decision to bring both of our kids here. We have found that the school is VERY well run and was lead exceptionally well through the pandemic. The teachers we have had have all been exceptional. They have treated our child with love and he loves going to school here.People choose schools for different reasons, and a parochial school even more so. That being said, we chose Whitefield for the academic rigor, classical educational philosophy, small class sizes, and character focus. We have been more than pleased with all of those points and the experience has met or exceeded our expectations.It's unfortunate that some reviews are coming in from people that are not even in Kansas City or know nothing of the school - it's clear that this has some motivation that is not based on experience and subsequently, is not a fair 'review' of the school - rather an misinformed opinion based on a subjective article written by a publication that spends equal coverage on tattoo and piercing establishments. Consider the source.We have found the school to be inclusive, friendly, communicative, safe, and academically rigorous.
Aaron Perry: I am a senior in high school attending Whitefield Academy, and have been going to this school since kindergarten. My two older siblings have attended Whitefield Academy from kindergarten to 12th grade and have both graduated. Whitefield Academy and their teachers give the students an incredible community to grow academically and spiritually. The teachers are more concerned about the student well-being then their grades. Although the education at Whitefield Academy is rigorous the teachers understand that life can be difficult sometimes, and are always there to support the students. This school is like no other, and I’m proud to call myself a senior at Whitefield Academy.

Adrienne Waner: This is our family's ninth year at Whitefield Academy and we couldn't be more pleased. We have three children, two in the lower school and one in the upper school. This institution is top-notch, from the excellent responsiveness and organization of the administration to the attentive and loving teachers who deliver a high quality, Christ-centered classical education. Over the course of my life, I have been involved with or attended five different private Christian schools from elementary all the way up to the college level, and I can say with all honesty that Whitefield surpasses them all. Not only is the education superior, but the Whitefield community of teachers, parents, students, and school leadership has enriched our lives in so many ways. This school is a true gem!
Todd Jones: Whitefield has provided an amazing education for my children. They deliver on their vision that comprehending and communicating complex concepts is a skill that can be taught to any student regardless of ability. I'm a bit jealous of my children as I would have been much better prepared for life and college if I had gone to Whitefield. The faculty and staff live out the Christian virtues promoted by a classical Christian education. Most importantly, the students are taught how to think critically so they can become life long learners. This is so much more important than merely learning a skill to get a job or get into the right college. I'll never forget when the head of the math department said "we learn geometry because it helps us to think deeply." A classical Christian education helps the students become good people who pursue truth, goodness and beauty. Now more than ever we need more students graduating with what Whitefield provides.
John Hutson: I've been very impressed with what my daughters have learned in Whitefield's PK and Kindergarten, but more than that, Whitefield teachers have formed deep and lasting connections with them. These teachers love my daughters enough not only to make them feel safe and at home in the Whitefield community but to give them individual attention to ensure they will reach Whitefield's high standards of excellence.
Rebekah Wampler: Whitefield Academy has blown my expectations out of the water. The academic focus, intent on teaching the whole child, and intensity of God's love is profound. My children are being nourished in their mind, body, and spirit through intentional lesson planning, instruction, and communication. I could not be more happy with the education they are receiving.We had our children in a public school prior to Whitefield. They were results oriented (state testing) and one of my boys cried everyday going, and hated being at school. The classrooms were large and he often felt lost.We have the opposite at Whitefield. The classes are smaller and the attention is on the Lord and the academics are so well rounded. There is no pressure of state testing and constant high stakes assessments.I cannot thank Whitefield enough for the education it has given my boys!
Kara Anderson: We have been impressed with the curriculum and instruction. Whitefield cares not only about my child's education but also about his heart. They have worked with his behavior. He struggled with sitting for long periods and staying focused and we met with a couple teachers and they wanted nothing but the best for him and were willing to work with my requests of some alternate learning styles. We hope to and don't ever have the intentions of leaving Whitefield! We have 4 kids we plan to put through!
Kyle & Lydia White: This is an EXCELLENT school with top notch academics, high expectations mixed with grace, and a focus on who kids are becoming in all areas.Everything is done with intentionality, forming student’s minds but also their character and faith. Kids are not just prepared for college/career but for life as continual learners. Kids are not just taught Bible lessons but given a critical thinking and worldview foundation that prepares them to bless their community.We have attended for three years and have experienced extraordinary teaching, excellent leadership by the headmaster, and a wonderful culture of Christian community.Our oldest was originally enrolled elsewhere but after a campus tour, we immediately moved her here. It was the best decision!This school is absolutely worth a visit!
