Archery Excellence: what do users think?
Elizabeth Dunn-Hall: Such a wonderful teaching environment and support. My daughter is excited and the coaches are very encouraging and knowledgeable. They are doing a fantastic job! The owner is going to the Olympics for archery if that tells you anything🎉 Highly recommend
Cindy Green: Great place. Friendly and very helpful. Thank you.
Joe Toomire: Had my crossbow break a string about a year ago, never got around to doing it until about 3 months ago when I looked around for the best place to repair it and found Archery Excellence. They were very nice when I brought it up there, giving me information about how it will be fixed and what they have to do to get the string in. The manufacturer took a very long time waiting around trying to get them the string to get it repaired. After it taking so long, they decided to just make their own string and put it on there! I’ve shot it a couple times and it works fantastic! Although I can’t remember her name, she was VERY helpful and even gave me some tips about the crossbow since I haven’t done much bow hunting in my life! And I believe Jerry is the one who repaired it! Thanks Jerry and thanks Archery Excellence! Most definitely will be back!
Mat Riggs: Range is OK, but pro shop is hit or miss. They have a pretty good tech or two, but they also have some gross incompetence back there as well. Three of us spent an hour and a half waiting to shoot. I was getting a new bow adjusted, but had to abort because of the time, and because the fellow helping us didn't seem to know anything about what he was doing. We had to wait a on employees socializing with each other, and we were put on the back burner for every single other customer who came in. This was extra bad because nobody was manning the front desk. So after an hour and a half into a job that should have been 30 minutes I left with an incomplete bow setup.
Matt Barger: Great customer service that truly seem to care and take the time to figure out what’s going to best for your needs!
Michelle Reinholdt: My friend & I were archery noobs, and have only ever held those janky bows at RenFests - so, we gave the Intro to Archery course a shot. Emily was absolutely lovely, and took great care of us! She made us feel comfortable, gave perfect instruction, and when she noticed my friend's hyperextended elbow was getting in the way, she took the initiative to see if Melinda, the head coach, had any tips. Melinda helped my friend learn how to adjust her elbow, and gave some great analogies to help with our form. I feel that both Emily & Melinda went above and beyond for us, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. We hope to return soon!
Leeann Randall: We have been doing lessons for about a year with my daughter. The staff is very good will all ages. They go above and beyond to make sure students are doing correct form and shooting of bows and arrows.
Jacinta Johnson: So impressed with the customer service and overall experience at Archery Excellence, especially from Dennis who helped me and my partner get our bows set up and ready to shoot. He was so knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. I can't wait to go back!
Aaron Ramsey: Great place! I went here recently having never attempted archery and was really impressed with the friendliness and expertise of the staff working here.
Ashden Prine: Really helpful and friendly coaches and staff. First time going here but it won't be the last!
Martin De Moya: I'd never done Archery in my life, Coach Melinda was extremely good at making me feel comfortable and made the learning process fun and easy....she was also very accommodating schedule-wise. Highly recommend this place for training, equipment and just fun time at the range....
Brian Jones: Great place, K.C. needed this! My daughter is learning top notch archery lessons from Olympic level training! Prof staff. Great archery/bow shop...hope they are lucrative in their business!!Update: Melinda & her husband stayed til midnight to get my bow finished on a bowstring fix...before Xmas holidays!!! Also, he found it was setup wrong by another (reputible) shop- string was a 1/2" too long 🤬. Takes an expert in his field to find these things, & I appreciate that!! THIS is where my bow will go any time it needs work!! These are great ppl that value your business.Update:their crew actually stayed late to get my bow back in action b4 Xmas break!! Found it was incorrectly strung by a reputable shop & corrected it. My groups are 4" tighter @30yds now!! I paid less$$ for better quality...again- I can't think of a better place for my business!!!!!
Marvin M: The place is good. Phillip was nice and professional instructing us. The only problem I had was with "asian girl" who works there. She did not introduce her name. Her approach was not a "customer service" to me. The appointment schedule was not on time. Anyway, other than that- good.
Jarael Hicks: Easily some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. Jared and the staff was beyond amazing. I’m very new to archery and decided to come to this place. As a “newbie” I had many questions and was nervous. They made me feel at ease and comfortable while giving me tips and welcoming me into the world of archery. Would recommend 100x over and will definitely be returning to this place.Place is also well organize and extremely family friendly if that matters.
benjamin lakey: This is the best place to learn about archery and to grow as an archer. The team is knowledgeable and professional and the pro shop is amazing as well. They are definitely my go to from now on!!
A. Mitchell: Took a beginner class. Staff does not wear masks or maintain social distancing.. It started out okay with 15 minutes of introduction that was low key and understandable. Somewhere within the 45 minutes practice period, a woman (who did not provide the 15 minutes of instruction) walked up behind me, started touching me and barking instructions one after the other. I had no time to process what she was saying, and she was hurting my hand and wrenching my back. It was completely overwhelming. I had to back away from her and almost push her away. I will not return.
Angela White: I would totally recommend this place. My sister was visiting from New York and wanted us to do an archery activity as a family. We took the intro class and the Coach was very very knowledgable, helpful and patient. We will definitely go back!
Susan: Great experience
Cotey Norris: Cant even get in. Old man without a mask walked in with a bow. I walk up after they open and the door is locked. Nobody let me in. I see there bow pros are only here from 7-9pm? Really? You’re only open 4 hours to begin with. Don’t come here if you need a bow restrung
Moni Vongsena: Wonderful range, amazing staff, and friendly environment. I have been going to this range over 2 years now and have been trained very well to feel fairly competent and confident in my archery skills while being safe! They offer classes, 15 minute lessons, archery tag, and a bow shop! I highly recommend this range!
Zenith Martello: The place is great! Very helpful, informative, and unpretentious. I’m very new to archery and they helped me out and took the time to explain the ins and outs that most other places couldn’t be bothered too.

Archery Range: what do users think?
John Barry: It’s an off-leash dog area now. Nothing for archery
Medicare With Roz: The signage needs to be update throughout the park. It was difficult to navigate when large groups were meeting and parking was sparse.
Brandon Voorhees: This is an off-leash dog area now.
Jessica Hughes: No targets, just an open space now. There are also no signs indicating it is still an archery range so I think they got rid of it. Wyandotte park/lake is very nice tho. Just don’t come here to shoot :)
jamie jacob: Seems like it could be a nice area. There are no targets. I guess you could bring your own?
MAJic J: It is so cool at a public park actually has an archery range. It looks to be very well kept and neat. An extremely large Bank on the back side to catch your arrows. Couldn't be any more beautiful spot.

Shawnee Mission Park Archery Range: what do users think?
Sonja Richardson: Nice range. You can buy permits off of the JoCo Parks and Rec website. You can use your receipt right away and they'll mail you a nice card
Joe Shojayi: The range is very nice, but good luck getting a permit. They don’t sell them online, I’m standing here trying to buy one as I write this review, and she hasn’t answered the phone for at least 40 minutes. This means they can’t be purchased over the phone. I’m only trying to buy 4 archery permits for myself and my family. 40 minutes now, I’m the only person in line, and she still hasn’t been able to sell me one permit. It’s a bad experience.
Bill McCracken: Very well done.

BB Archery Sales & Services: what do users think?
christopher Reeder: Great little bow shop staff is really friendly and helpful
Anne Lindsey: Went in for a string and some advice. Very helpful, above and beyond. Thanks for the tips, I hit my target with 5 out of 6 arrows this morning...
Barry Ginter: I took an Excalibur charger to them for repair. I called b4 I went there. They said yeah bring it up We can repair it. Took it up there and the old man griped at me about not buying it from them. They are an authorized Excalibur dealer I had all parts for repair. It sat there for 2 months in the same drawer they put it in when I dropped it off. I picked it up and called Excalibur. (Very nice to deal with). B B might be ok if you buy a new bow from them but that will never happen from me. I’ll never go back Go somewhere where they appreciate customers. Not here.
Frank Burch: Super knowledgeable, friendly staff. With diversified brands such as Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech, Diamond and PSE not to mention all the popular accessories, you can rest assured they have something for everyone. Crossbow sales and service as well. Super good guys, you’ll be glad you went there.
William Thomas: I have relied on Randy and his pro- staff at B&B archery for years. Whether my needs are repairs, bow tuning, instruction, coaching , accessories or new sales, this archery shop is #1!
Jacob Johnson: Super nice people who really know what they are doing. I'll be using them again for archery service
Matt A: randy is very rude and disrespectful towards new guy/gals in the sport. Go somewhere else.
Nathan gilbreath: Absolutely immature. I bought a bow (my first bow) needed some help putting on some parts, brought it up to this place (in his home) and from the beginning the owner was giving me a hard time for not knowing much (again First bow) long story short I’ll be going to addiction Archery as I was originally recommended.
Jonna Nevins: I felt so bad after I snapped the string on my crossbow and worried that I had to get a new one for $500. I'm so glad I found this place where the folks are super friendly and knowledgeable about bows and crossbow. I can't believe I get my crossbow back within 7 days like brand new one! Highly recommend for anyone who loves 🏹!
Brothers Fence: Skilled group willing to help make the purchase easy!
John Locke: Love it
Lucas Ingala: Great staff always have what I need! Best service and best price on arrows in the city!
Dave Williams: Best archery shop in the kansas city area hands down.
Dave in KC: I bought a left-handed Mathews VXR last year, and the crew was very helpful and responsive to all my questions. I had a great experience and highly recommend them! If you need a bow in the KC area, go see BB Archery.
Derek: There’s no other place you should even think about when it comes to your archery needs.
Bernard Schultz: Even a blind squirrel finds a nut!!! Which was my case. I was in town for a business transaction. Knew what now I wanted, so I quickly goggled Mathews Dealers, and this was the first one that came up! I called ahead as I always being left handed. That worked out in my favor for once!! Lol. Randy and the pro staff took excellent care of me. I wasn’t let go until the everything was checked, verified, shot, checked , verified ,etc…etc…. and one final Bow inspection I was done! Thank you again Randy and Pro staff ( can’t remember the name…lol) I can’t wait to feed my V3
Joshua Hindman: Knowledgeable about everything archery and craftsmanship that can't be beat. These guys are the only place I take my bow!
Brandon Fish: The only place I’ll go to have my bow worked on and I live in Iowa. Two times I have had to come in and I always leave more than satisfied.
Brian Jones: These guys are THE best!! Fixed my daughter's bow- mistakes on setup from BPS, & I honestly don't know why I didn't come here in the 1st place! You just CANT find service like this anymore. Even stayed late to last minute cut & fletch her a set of arrows, on a Saturday 4th of July weekend!!! Thanks so much
Blueberry Wilbur: Just got a new Hoyt Torrey XT for the guys and never in my life have I got this kind of service. These guys took the time and set up everything and made it such a pleasure. Next time I’m in KC me and my son are coming by to get him a new bow too!!
Justin Wolf: Jason was fantastic tuning my bow and full of knowledge.

Prairie Center Archery Range: what do users think?
Rebecca Carpenter: close by and free! The range has plenty if room and have good targets
Native Aspect: This range is KC hidden little gem, On the main range there are targets setup 10-50 yards, The targets are replaced on a regular basis, i guess as needed. Be sure to bring an arrow puller or two, depending on the material used some times they can be difficult to remove. The last time i was out there they were made of compacted straw, and were fairly easy to pull out. There are a few targets on the left side of the range that are for crossbows, but i think you have to bring your own block. There is a north and south trail with aprox. 10 targets on either trail, with varying elevations. I would avoid the trails during the heat of the summer months as the ticks can get really bad on them, but after the first good freeze you can find a nice day they are really great. The north trails targets range from 10-30 yards. There is one target on the way to the north trail that had a good decline. The south trail range from 20-60 yards. I have seen scouting and other groups out here. during the week you might find your self out here alone to just a few people. weekends there are a few more. Everyone that i have talked to have been super nice, and will even help find a misplaced arrow. If you are into archery this range is defiantly worth checking out.
David Boone: What an absolutely great find! My first time there and found the range well-maintained and well-marked. Great exercise on the walk-in trails with a variety of distances, angles and elevations to shoot.
zachary Dahl: A very nice range, good distances. Free and well maintained! Only thing that would make it better is if it was closer to KC.

Academy Sports + Outdoors: what do users think?
Richard Smith: Not a very good shopping experience here. Avoid looking or even thinking about getting a gun at Academy. If you have set rules about phones at the counter, POST A SIGN AT THE COUNTER EXPLAINING THEM. That way people have the knowledge of your rule before the customer is scolded and humiliated by the employee. Sticking to Bass Pro for all future business.
Jameth Simmons: Used to love shopping seems to be going downhill so I don't shop there very often shoe selection is good if you're in the soccer grate for soccer gear don't go shopping there for golf coolers and camping to expensive and always lacking products
kenny young: Tries to trick customers with advertisements!
David Dabbs: You need to watch out on their sales. We buy what we thought was on sale and they charge us full price. They said it was not marked with a sticker. Nothing was marked with a sticker. It had a sale sign about it that said on sale for 6.99. Management blames the employee for not marking them BS.
Melissa C.: They had exactly what online said they would. I was in and out.
Lane Cooper: I've been going to this store more and more as my outdoor equipments needs have grown. Up until now the people were always nice and friendly. Unfortunately, it just takes one rude night supervisor (I believe that was her postion), to change that. So yes it was 9:57 as I was waiting for another person before checking out, and in Natzi fashion she informed me I had to check out "NOW." From there she went out to the front to stand guard like a bull dog looking for a chance to growl at anyone who might approach the front doors. Beyond rude, almost abusive. Not that this posting will mean anything the store owners, but I really don't want to go back to that store.
Jason Dennis: Large variety with a little higher prices
Francisco Ramón: Academy sports es una tienda primera calidad zapatos y ropa de Marca con bajo precios
Marcella: Great deals and sales!
Paul Peterson: Love the selection!
A H (5 Solas): I came screaming into the parking lot at closing-time on a Friday night because my daughter had forgotten to pack her cleats. They were gracious to us and let us in to purchase a pair.
YONIN D'TOBAR: Excellent
Drew Leslie: 5 stars for the professionalism, patience, and tact displayed by the management in the face an outrageously rude and obnoxious customer. I would have lost my mind on that lady for the way she was treating the staff here...
Ammar Sadek ali: Very nice
Joe Carney: Always have good selection and fair prices.
Nicki Oli: This place has got some really good outdoors stuff for some pretty reasonable prices. Husband and I like this store alot, although the employees could be a bit more friendlier, especially the cashiers.
Larry Jiskra: Staff very helpful after I found someone that could look for the item
Mark Hobbs: Always have what I need!!!!
Ryan Garnett: Their selection of hockey gear is pathetic.
Jaime O Fiallos M: APROVECHÉ COMPRANDO UNOS ZAPATOS PARA TRABAJAR Y ME RESULTARON MUY CÓMODOS Y A BUEN PRECIO..
Michael Marshall: Prices were great, they had what I wanted and customer service was excellent!
