Made in KC Cafe: what do users think?
David Meraz: Staff are super friendly and fun. More cafes need to be like this! Coffee and non coffee drinks are great too!Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Elizabeth Robitaille: Great spot for a quick bite and drink. Laidback vibe and friendly serviceRecommended dishes Egg & Cheese Biscuit …More
Jess Majhor: I was looking for a nice café and I found this gem. I ordered the matcha latte and a poptart pastry. The cashier was super helpful and nice. She let me know what recommendations she had and offered vanilla syrup since the matcha typically comes unsweetened. The poptart was delicious and half priced.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pastries …More
Sam Keske: Smallish, but with a solid array of Made in KC souvenirs plus bottles from the local breweries and distilleries. Helpful, enthusiastic staff. And maybe also a hidden away speakeasy?Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Scott Shepherd: I've been to five made in kc locations, and this place has the most bar potential, but it is almost completely unutilized. I get staffing is a huge challenge, but not staffing the bar prevents us from making this the afterwork spot. Ordering a drink here seems like you are putting the staff out and that they hate to do it. Really hurts the experience.
Erwin Milanes: A local brand coffee, must try and the place is nice with wifi. You can relax and enjoy inside the store while enjoy your coffee break. 😊
Wall Flower: Pleasant place. Not enough food choices. No vegan options. Coffee was good. It would be good to set up your laptop and work online as a few ppl were doing that.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Hannah Masters: Delicious and smooth espresso. Amazing vibes and service.
Ashley Martins: Very cute aesthetic and affordable drinks. Definitely worth a visit!
Ruby K: Cute spot with Kansas City goodies. Coffee was good and staff was nice. It was mostly empty, so plenty of space to sit and work from. Wifi connection was good as well. I took away one star because the music was incredibly loud.
Allyssa Harris: Absolutely adored this place! It’s definitely worth it, despite the wait and large crowds.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Phillip Kisembo: That chai tea latte wasn’t it.
gokhan cicek: One of the worst coffee i have had. Tastes awful and doesn't look like the ones in the pictures.
Cheryl Bruder: Coffee was good but egg and cheese biscuit was barely better than mcdonalds. Food is not made in house. Arrived only 2 hrs after opening and there was hardly any food available. Staff was unprofessional (bickering across the room kind of thing). Wouldn't go backFood: 3/5|Service: 3/5 …More
Dallas Stephens: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Mike: Always a great cup of brewed coffee or expresso! The staff is always nice and efficient with orders.
Sarah Nadler: The cafe where you have to eat before you visit…because they are ALWAYS out of items on the menu 🤦🏻‍♀️The staff here are exceptional, friendly and kind. The vibe is trendy and the music is soft enough you can actually have a conversation or work. But I visit every Sunday and they are ALWAYS out of food. I’ve developed a habit of eating before I come…to the cafe…because the cafe doesn’t serve its own menu 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️I use this location as a club meeting spot and coworking space…and would love to support them financially when I visit but there’s nothing to buy
Cici: Lovely cafe'. Glad I stopped by. I had the vegan 'bacon and egg' biscuit sandwich I believe. Perhaps one of the best vegan sandwiches I have ever had. Number one or two. Should have taken a picture. Also had a hot almond milk latte.Attached to the cafe' is a shop with MIKC merch. Hopefully I stop by again and buy some of the food or clothes items.🔥
caitlin grant: Super cute coffee spot! Nice service and had a good selection of coffees to choice from.
Sandi Adam: After reading a review saying that the barista insisted that matcha was coffee, I knew I had to visit this place. It’s cozy and adorable, I ordered a matcha latte and…I got a matcha latte. Baristas were friendly and service was quick. They also had matcha powder that wasn’t pre-sweetened, which I appreciated.

Brian Hill: We love coming down for trivia night. I love getting free beer for winning but how about certificates good for food also? Or, winner gets a guaranteed parking spot IN the parking lot or up front?Parking: Very limited parking on site and spaces are tight. Street parking is available but very intermittent with yellow painted curbs all over. Would be great if businesses would allow us to use their empty lots when they're closed.

Chez Elle Crêperie and Coffeehouse: what do users think?
R J: We have been here on and off for 10 years, its been a few years since our last visit and frankly largely disappointing. The Suisse Crepe (ham, asparagus with Hollandaise) was lacking in flavor, virtually no Hollandaise, under seasoned and basically no cheese. My wife had the #1 which is chicken, pesto etc. More flavor but largely from the pesto. We also ordered the lobster bisque, generous amount of lobster meat (seriously generous), but too much tomato paste and cream made the bisque largely bland and fatty and the "bread" served with it was an odd shaped brioche roll, obvioulst strsight out a mass produced item that was stale and not heated and hence left on the plate after one bite. Smoothies were ok, mango smoothie was bitter (hard to get good mangoes in KC admittedly). Unfortunately the main let down was service. A tribe of kitchen staff (I counted 9) and maybe 2 or 3 servers who left tables unbussed so we had to clean a table to be seated. Not a professional group (using their phones while we waited to order) and oblivious to what a server should deliver. I don't think we will go back again, a shame frankly given good experiences in previous years.
Robert Thompson: Excellent crepes and prompt service. Both sweet and savory crepes on the menu. Quaint inside and outside patio seating available.Recommended dishes Savory Crepes …More

Kamryn Gezidel: Been here a few times and I love the atmosphere, décor & inviting staff . I ordered the mixed berry crepe with blueberries, strawberry, banana and cream cheese filling , this crepe was light + refreshing . I also ordered the savory Philly cheese steak crepe . Now that crepe was DELICIOUS. Normally I don’t go for savory crepes but I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to try this one. I ordered the cappuccino & a bottle of cranberry juice . My cappuccino wasn’t very good , it lacked flavor , tasted like hot milky water so I opted to try a frappe . The mocha frappe was good . The cranberry juice was just a small bottle of ocean spray which they charge too much for ( it was like 4 dollars) , I noticed that a lot of people just get water instead. They have a self serve water station with plastic cups so that’s nice . The location & outside patio is honestly the best part ! You can sit on the patio, enjoy the breeze, and see locals biking/walking around as you enjoy a decadent crepe 🙂 A inviting and romantic atmosphere!
Danielle McCartney: Cute Lil place and food was great! Place to go for something different!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Maddi Worley: Been coming here for years! So many different dishes that are all mouth-watering delicious. Great indoor and outdoor environment with kind staff.Recommended dishes Sweet Crepes …More
Sarah Purcell: Crepes were excellent, even the buckwheat gluten free one I had was smoother and softer than other places I've had. Food arrived quiet fast. It was a nice casual date for us!Dietary restrictions: GF crepes taste quiet good and have a good texture... you can sub GF buckwheat crepes on any menu choice.
Liz Ibarra-Moore: This was our 2nd visit to Chez Elle and I believe will now be tradition anytime we visit KC! Absolutely delicious crepes and quiches!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sweet Crepes, Savory Crepes, Quiche of the Day …More
Drew Sasse: Lobster Bisque... Maybe the best thing I've ever eatenWent for gf's bday and even though it was busy, the line at the counter went fast and the delivery of the food was also fast. Wasn't a huge fan of my crepe, but that Bisque though! Whole lobster tail in it basicallyFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Lobster, Bisque …More
Jillian O'Connell: I had a nice first visit to Chez Elle. This is an order at the window, find a seat, and they will bring your food and drinks out to you. The menu is up on the wall when you walk. In. I recommend taking some time to review the menu online if you get overwhelmed by lots of options! There is air conditioned seating inside with a help-yourself water station. Outside, there are a number of small tables with umbrella. The side street isn’t too busy so you can still chat and hear the person you’re with.We ordered number 2. Tour Eiffel and number 26. Galette (Brie and buckwheat). The Tour Eiffel was delightful! The salmon and artichokes inside the light crepe with capers and herbed crème cheese on top was the perfect balance. So flavorful but not overly heavy. The Galette was OK. Not bad but nothing special. The eggs are placed on top the crepe and could have used a little more seasoning or herbs. The Brie and spinach inside had a nice flavor, although I would have preferred more spinach.Overall a fun first experience and I look forward being back to try more!
Mackenzie Cremeans: Always a wonderful experience at Chez Elle!
Jessica Ortiz: Ordered the breakfast bonjour and the sweet patriote crepe. Both were very good.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Judy Walker: Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Erika Cavnar: Coffee and savory crêpes were amazing! Will definitely go back to try the sweet crêpes.
Shawn: This is a welcoming estaishment with seating both indoor and outside, seating is open seating, where they have these elegant Paris inspired number holders. There are water stations through out that are self serve. They have breakfast, dessert and savory style crepes that range from classica to flavor combinations that will surely give your mouth a new flare for crepes. All the crepes are numbered so all you have to do at the" order here" area is explain your number. The cost is fair ranging from 9-12 per crepes. They have salads, soups and smoothies as well as some fresh baked goods If your in the area for a light snack.I got a couple of drinks the London fog was exquisite. 7.5 out of 10. A tea with a shot of expresso, really sweet. The brave, was absolutely amazing and our of the best expresso's I've had in kansas city. 9.8.I ordered 3 crepes. 1 breakfast crepe and 2 dessert crepes. The breakfast crepe was my fav it was bacon, egg, and maple. A 9 out of 10.The patriots is supposed to be strawberries, bananas and blueberries..topped with crme and both a vanilla and raspberry sauce. There was zero strawberries and you could tell that it was missing. 2 out of 10, I was extreamly disappointed in this error on their part.I asked the server host to recomend another dessert crepe I let her know I was not a huge fan of chocolate..what does she do she suggest the most chocolate item on the menu. Au chocolate. Choclate crepe with chocolate creme topped with raspberry sauce and chocolate sauce a chocolate overhaul again not for me 1 out of 10 my taste buds may differ from yours.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian optionsParking: 15Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate restrictions
Charlie Brown: This place is one of my favorites for breakfast in KC. They have a wide variety of both sweet & safety crepe options & they're all done very well. The staff is always friendly & though they are quite busy on the weekends, they move things along quickly. I've never had a terribly long wait. Highly recommend if your in KC & you like crepes.
Je T'aime Taylor: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Savory CrepesMore
Woodsie Woods: Always amazing. Great crepes and hands down THE BEST lobster bisque in the KC metro. Favorite crepes are the bonjour (scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese) and the citron (lemon curd, fresh strawberries and a strawberry glaze.) Consistently good food, fast & friendly service, and gorgeous atmosphere. LOVE IT.Recommended dishes Crepe with Fruit, Sweet Crepes, Lobster, Bisque, Savory Crepes, Soup, Strawberries Crepes …More

Betty Rae's Ice Cream: what do users think?
Rawrbecca: Delicious.Kansas City's Finest.
Brittany Bradford: The best ice cream in KC. Anything with their homemade marshmallows is where it’s at. Smores is in season and amazing.
Ander: So good!
Geo K: you better betty this place is the best! such a rae of sunshine on our trip to kansas city! we got the banana pudding and the peanut butter (which was incredible)! the line was long but fast moving!
Ethan Shoe: Pretty solid ice cream shop. The line was out the door and around the street corner, but it moved at a good pace. I got the s'mores sundae and it was fantastic, I'd highly recommend it. It came in a bowl-ish container which was amusing.
Paul Knutson: Good ice cream but expensive
allan meza: This is top tier ice cream my friends. Hey the s'mores flavor 😉 😋
John F: Great ice cream shoppe!! Friendly staff and unique flavors make this a definitely stop!! Sometimes long lines but worth the wait. I love Betty Rae's ice cream. It's one of my favorite places to go for a sweet treat. They have so many delicious flavors to choose from, from classics like chocolate and vanilla to creative ones like lavender honey and brown butter pecan. They also have some unique flavors that are only available in Kansas City, like the KC burnt ends & sauce ice cream, which is made with Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que. The ice cream is creamy and rich, and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is cozy and fun. I heard that Betty Rae's is recently under new ownership, and I hope that nothing changes with the quality and variety of their ice cream. Betty Rae's is a gem in Kansas City, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves ice cream.
Kristina Murdaugh: I need an intervention. We go here far too often. But what I'm obsessed with isn't the ice cream (though it is DELICIOUS). I'm in love with their house-made marshmallow fluff. It's so good, not overly sweet. It tastes amazing. This place is a real gem.
Jennifer Clark: That brownie sundae is legit. We come here every time we are close by, totally worth the wait. Fantastic ice cream. Flavortown 10/10
Bobbi H: Beat ice cream in KC
Trisha Mcelfresh: Best ice cream in KC
Jessica Ortiz: Good ice cream and a great experience.
Crystal L: Great place for ice cream. Staff friendly and the ice-cream is great. If there is a line, stand in it, it is worth the wait.
Josh Gould: Top tier ice cream!
Jeannie Santos: I got the Smores Sundae. It was really good. My friend got a scoop of Creme Brulee & an expresso. She loved the ice cream & said the expresso was very strong. We tried the Lavender/Honey & it was pretty good😋
Sam Keske: Taco Tuesday! Really impressive local ice cream, including staples like goat cheese/pecan and specials line the Bees Knees (which made a woman cry when they ran out). Spend the buck on a waffle. If the line is there at closing, they'll stick around for you. Really enjoyed it!
Braff Zacklin: Amazing ice cream and super friendly service. Great job all around!
Na- Na: This is a pretty nice Ice Cream shop. They offer milkshakes as well, which is what I went for. I got a Butter Pecan small sized milkshake which was good, the price is a bit much for the portion, but it’s not terribly unreasonable. It was about $7. It’s a pretty good vibe and nice looking space but if it gets crowded it’s not as enjoyable which I assume happens often based on the busyness that day. A little bus was parked outside of it which I assume is another space to enjoy your ice cream. There’s also other outdoor seating aside from the bus. All in all: 3.5/5.
Gillian Chant: 1000/10; best ice cream in town! Best flavor is razz & blue 😍
Timothy Broderick: Flavors were unique and robust, followed by polite and efficient service.

Seth Edelinski: I brought my wife in for dinner and dessert. She had been once before and loved it. Absolutely loved the vibes. My wife is gluten-free, and they were very accommodating. Most of the menu seems to be gluten-free in the first place, but they are happy to help with any substitutions needed. The food was absolutely delicious and flavor and incredibly on point. We ordered the adobo mushroom carnitas wrap, substituting the sprouted grain wrap for corn tortillas as a gluten-free option. We also ordered the I Am Reflective (Asian yam & mushroom bowl). Growing up in a Taiwanese household I can honestly say the flavor on the mushroom stir fry in this dish is very authentic. Cake of the day way Chai and lavender.Thank you café gratitude for this wonderful experience.

Kyle Pearce: Very friendly service! I was surprised by the serving size as it was much larger than anticipated. The “I am Bonita” dish is what I chose and it was really good. The variety of different flavors ultimately led me to eating the whole dish. This place is much different than your standard vegan restaurant as everything is much more earthy and organic.

Sam D: I am obsessed.
Meeghan Crook-Hutsler: Very relaxing and friendly environment! Our waiter was super kind and attentive! Food was amazing 🤩Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan so there's no need to check for dishes that you can eat!
moxeev: Looked into vegan restaurants in KC and this one showed up! Don't recall what I ordered but my dad enjoyed his tacos! This donut was the BEST the frosting on it is amazing. The matcha latte was good too.Parked about a block away and it was worth it! I think the prices were a high + the decor was cute.
Aaron Wong: Love this place and what it stands for. Love to bring people here who shy away from vegan. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. So lucky we have this spot in our city.

Jessica Yauney: While it was a little louder than expected (with 8 people at the table the ends couldn't hear each other) the food was good, arrived quickly, and wait staff did a Greta job handling allergies.Vegetarian options: With several vegetarians in the group, we had no trouble ordering

John C: Every plate a memorable experience, every cocktail a work of art. Half the menu gets super affordable at happy hour, but the quality is worth full price so you win no matter when you go. Go with friends and share plates around for a richer experience.
Tom Shoemaker: Happy Hour is awesome, we had the fudgy eggs, mussels, trout, and hummus. All were exceptional.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Steamed Mussels …More
Nicole Shoemaker: Excellent all around. One of the best restaurants in KC.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sapphic Sphinx: Overpriced tourist trap for Johnson County palates. 12 dollars for a small, subpar cucumber salad. 10 dollars for ricotta on toast. For some perspective, this is the same price as the famed ricotta toast that also includes homemade jam at the Los Angeles restaurant “Sqirl”. Might be worth it to people who have not dined on tapas in other cities. And they respond to negative reviews so defensively, you’d think if they were confident in their product they’d ignore them. Would have given more stars if I hadn’t seen their treatment of dissatisfied customers. There are much worthier and fairly priced restaurants in the city. Fully expect a salty response to follow.
Alexis Ostiguy: We went with a group of 6 and ordered 12+ things off the menu to share. Everything was delicious. Our favorites were the fudgy eggs (I’ve never liked deviled eggs until this dish!), seared tuna and lamb kebabs. We went on a Monday and brought our own wine since there is a no corkage fee. It was a great experience! My only complaint was that it was loud. I think it would be a wonderful place to sit on the patio!
Peter Albert: Great little spot, right off the trolley. I had a delightful, barrel aged Negroni poured by a friendly bartender. He was helpful in selecting the seared tuna and falafel. Both we’re yummy (and I’m picky about my tuna). It was perfect.
Ivo Marevic: The atmosphere and service was pretty good. Our server even fixed some of the bad drinks and food we got.The espresso martini was not great. Most of the drinks honestly were kinda disappointing. Not sure if it's because they were really busy or what. Food was good but everything was the same. Same spices and lots of cilantro in everything that really made things just blah. Who garnishes a ribeye steak with cilantro?Rosemary bread with ricotta was pretty amazing, and olives were great. Steak was good. Smashed potatoes were good. Muscles were good. One thing i love getting at tapas places is octopus which really disappointed me here. Portion was small and it was too chewy and spices were overpowering. Overall, it's an ok place, i just wish for food they were little more diverse with spices so not everything tastes so similar. For the price you are paying, i expected better.
Natalie Winters: Lovely atmosphere, great service and good food! The mock-tail was really tasty and steamed mussels were fresh! The highlight was roasted bronzino.Braised pork belly was bland and Lebanese hummus was ordinary. Overall it was a nice experience but the price is pretty high for portion.Recommended dishes Steamed Mussels …More
Rahul Dedhia: Conveniently located downtown. Great place to dine. Lots of small plate options to select from. Chickpeas fries are one of my favorites and are amazing. It's highly recommended and you must try it if you visit. They have a few vegetarian options as well. Good selection of drinks.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chickpea Fries …More
Nathan Victor: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Steamed Mussels, Chickpea FriesMore
Gwen Goldfish: Personally thought this place was overrated. Not bad - just overrated. I had the lamb kebab that was ground lamb when I was expecting pieces of lamb and it doesn't specify on the menu. It was set in a sauce which was pretty necessary because the lamb, ( even though ground and mixed with spices) didn't have much flavor. The server was really nice and very helpful but just a bit over the top.I would go again if someone else wanted to go but I wouldn't be in a hurry to try it again myself.
Rebecca Retzler: We went to extra virgin last night for our date night! It was my first time. Caitlin was our server and went above and beyond! She was very nice and came back to the table quickly. She suggested the tequila white wine sangria, that was amazing! The cucumber salad was wonderful! The flavor was great and so beautifully plated. The Roasted Feta was to die for! The way it was made, it felt very light. We also had the fuzzy eggs. Those were so good as well. We also had chicken which was cooked to perfection, it was moist and full of flavor. Everything we had, paired really well together. We will definitely be back!
Chuck Isaacson: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Robert Kiesling: Excellent food, service and wines but small portions and very pricey ($200+ for four). It was as noisy as most cafeterias making conversation very difficult??Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
