Liberty Hospital Birthing Center: what do users think?
Trista Fenner: I had such a great first delivery here. I can’t remember all the nurses we had but they were all very compassionate and caring. Jacqueline and Dr. West helped with my delivery and were great. I also had Haley, Jessica, Christine and many others. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here. Thank you!
Sidra Rani: Wonderful Experience with amazing cooperating staff specially the postpartum nurse Maggie was so amazing.
Brandy Basham: I had my son at LH. He spent 15 days in the NICU. Since we brought him home he has been perfectly happy and healthy. All of the nurses were so amazing to us, and they were great about keeping me calm and making me feel comfortable. They look the time to explain things to me in a way that I could understand and made sure that I stayed calm. I spent most of the day and night in the NICU with him so I got pretty close to a handful of the nurses, I’d like to say an extra huge thank you to those ladies! Thank you all again for taking care of my boy, and taking care of me too! ❤️
Summer Calvert: Absolutely phenomenal! Our baby had to be in the NICU for 7 days, and the nurses were great. If it weren't for them I'm not sure how I would have made it through that horribly emotional time. They were caring, helpful and loving. They always answered any and every question I had and took excellent care of our daughter. These nurses have a special place in their hearts and I cannot thank them enough!
K D: Gave birth , they kept trying to get me to sign while in labor. No relief.. None.. then after they ripped upward into my body. It was trauma. Then they collaborated... cash for kids is real!!-- hide your kids!! They Released my baby unlawfully my oldest now 5 years old has been kidnapped... And fighting for my now 5 month :'( liberty hospital destroyed my life for a kick backs!!! 300 per "kid" or person needs "evaluating" starting a class action.. DO NOT BRING ANYONE UNDER 18 OR YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM OR YOULL FIGJT FOR EACH BREATH!!! WORKS WITH CITY CHIKDREN DIV. WHOM ALSO GETS PAID PER KID... PLEASE HELP!!!! AND PREY FOR MY GIRLS :'(
Carson Coons: Had my second baby at on Thursday but first time at Liberty hospital. To say it exceeded my expectation is an understatement! Had the most AMAZING labor and delivery nurse Amelia who made me feel comfortable, confident, and was so personable! The anesthesiologist was also so nice! And Dr. Sampson was my OB at Saint Luke’s, I’m so glad I followed her to liberty. She is phenomenal. Every person we came in contact with a liberty from the cleaning staff all the way up to the doctors was 5 stars! My birth experience was just as magical as I had hoped for. Thank you thank you thank you!
Darlene Woodruff: Love love love! Had my daughter 5 months ago and the staff was amazing, friendly, helpful and Maggie (my labor nurse) was A blessing she coached me and made me truly believe in myself and have no worries as I was in good hands. I was exhausted but they all kept me strong and I will forever recommend and if I have another child I will be returning. 1000 x recommend my daughter was in nicu and the nurses were the sweetest and helped me feed my daughter I was determined to Brestfeed and they accepted that and made sure I had the best experience and got to feed my daughter how I wanted. Much love 💕
Lydia Carlson: Disclaimer: DIdn't have a child here. Just went to the free Prepared Childbirth class they offered this month and was stunned by the instructors (a nurse who currently works the labor unit) attitude toward expecting parents. I lost track of the amount of times she said "I will LET you do this", I will not LET you have that", "we will LET you labor" and once or twice she even referred to the child as "MY baby". At the end of the class I asked about where the post-partum bleeding comes from (assuming no episiotomy, c-section, or retained placenta) and she asked "Do you know what a period is?" in the nicest way. She wasn't being hateful...she legitimately thought I was that dumb - which was even more shocking! Later I asked what happens to the cervix after birth (does it close immediately, slowly, etc) and she thought I was asking if you lose your cervix after labor. As a nurse myself with over 10 years experience in healthcare I was even using medical phrases like "endometrial lining" when asking questions and yet it was still assumed that this class of adult men and women did not have a grade school understanding of human anatomy. The material otherwise was very helpful, the instructor was friendly, obviously had a ton of experience in her field, and the class was free so hey, I appreciated all that but I left thinking I'M SO GLAD I'M DELIVERING AT SHAWNEE MISSION (even though Liberty is much closer to me). Liberty has a 22% c-section rate as of 2017 and I'm sure they give great care but wow, what an outdated, patronizing, and scary attitude to have towards your expecting parents. Birthing moms are your partners, not your children. Educate, empower, and work beside us for better outcomes not only for mom but also for "your" baby. :)
Brandi Smith: I just had my 2nd child at Liberty Hospital and again had a wonderful experience. My labor nurse Rachael was so incredibly helpful and supportive. I was thankful to have Dr. Olhausen deliver my baby girl. I had two nurses for the rest of my stay, Ellie and Melissa, both tended to my every need including lots of help with breastfeeding. I could not have asked for a better experience, so thank you for all that you do and keep up the great work!!!
Stephanie Harris: Couldn't be happier that we chose to have our son at Liberty Hospital! 100% of the staff was great. We felt like we were very well taken care of by knowledgeable and helpful people. I had to have a csection which required additional time in the hospital and a little more care needed from the staff. Every question or concern we had was taken seriously and all of the staff was willing to help. We will definitely come back when it's time to have our next child.

North Kansas City Hospital: what do users think?
Christian Smith: Very helpful, and has been a great hospital all of my families life.
Brian Burke: very nice directions to get you where you're going in the hospital !
shannon cantrell: One of the most helpful and useful hospitals for sure
Austin Long: I'm giving this a five-star rating because of the nurse that I had named Brooke. She was very sweet and kind and it's pretty much it
Monica C.: Took my 4 year old son in around 2am. Because he had croup and was breathing weird. (This isn’t his first time with croup. So I already knew, I took him for his breathing) they did Covid, flu, rsv tests. Which was negative. Of course. Sent my son home 3 hours later and said he didn’t have croup. No medicine was giving. Which stunned me. Took him to his regular pediatrician he did indeed have croup like I thought he did. Gave him the correct medication he needed. I will not be back. I rather drive to KU.
KGORE: Get ready to wait!
Paula Reese: If I could rate less I would. I went to the ER with an ear infection. I'm 28 weeks pregnant which I made VERY VERY clear, aside from the protruding tummy I'm obviously pregnant. I told them this like 3 times.. gave them my due date and all.. well they prescribed me a NON PREGNANCY SAFE ANTIBIOTIC! I'm already very high risk too
Tanay: I visited the ER with my wife and the medical team on duty (R.N. Jennifer Y and P.A. Lucas) were optimal in their treatment of us. We are grateful for their kindness and awesome bedside manner. Also, I cannot fail to mention that they both have a face for TV. 😊
Stephanie Baker: The ICU took great care of my son after a MVA trauma.Thank you, Blonde Ashley and Brown Ashley! And thank you to everyone there. Unfortunately, I think the holidays threw a wrench in care coordination after ICU transfer to floor. I would like to commend the social work team for being investigative and contacting me so quickly. Truly, a dedicated trauma team.
Penny Graham: Never go here they treat you for what they want to not what you need only interested in profit to hospital don't even tell you what they are doing b4 I am a diabetic and my sugars were high due to eating Easter candy the day before the emergency I went in for they only want you to stay overnight and treat you for something you weren't even there for I was there for a spider bite never even tried to treat me for the spider bite only gave me insulin for disease of diabetes never even gave me anything no antibiotics only worried keeping me overnight to treat something I wasn't even there for and I was there for 11 hours and left ama because they did NOT even try to help with what I was there for. STOP treating the disease start treating the person . That is why people are saying hipcrite not the oath they say they are. IDr just make educated guess well I can make an educated guess myself since it's my body and I know more of what's going on with than they do. Need to listen to what their patients tell them. No I will never go back. Just keep pushing your man made diseases. Worthless people trying to get rich.
Tiffany Best: I came in with chest pain and had an episode that mirrored a stroke. I had also been throwing up prior to that episode for several days. I wasn't able to keep any of my regular medications down. The ER staff was pretty good; but I was admitted and told by the hospitalist, that they were going to do everything by mouth instead of IV; which would've been fine had I not been throwing up for 3 days or able to take the medications by mouth. I sat there in pain for nearly 12 hours; which did not matter to the drs at all. Keep trying; what sense does that make? I have never been so irritated by the lack of care or concern. They told me my tests came back fine and sent me home. Later I finally went to another hospital and was told my treponins were elevated my blood pressure was again in the 220/100 range. The fact that I expressed my concerns to the doctor and her only concern was that I am someone who regularly takes pain medicine. I got to a pain clinic for endometriosis; I have had 2 pulmonary embolisms so I had to stop the estrogen and start xarelto: that's when I started with the pain medication and that is all the doctors heard. I brought my medications with me to show I didn't need a prescription or anything I simply was having issues with vomiting and couldn't keep my blood pressure, blood thinners, pain medicine anything down, in addition to the stroke symptoms. If not for going to another hospital who knows what may have happened; but I willnever go back. The nurses are scared to contact the doctors; once the Dr says something there is no one to advocate at that point for the patients I asked prior to discharge and was just told - those are her instructions. It's a joke and an insult. Please do better before you send someone home and they die: I never should have been discharged without knowing at that point I could keep my meds down.
Life of trell: I took my boyfriend to the ER here for a gunshot wound they didn’t use proper tools they use what it looked like to be a box cutter knife to cut open his wound we young so we didn’t know no better. they didn’t clean up after the procedure they left all the bloody gauze there until we left they didn’t knock on the door before entering my boyfriend was in a gown and they didn’t close the door behind them ever time they would entered the room.
Austin Wilhite: Worst hospital I've ever been to longest wait times and unfreindlyest staff I've ever encountered
April Mercer: So I HATE to throw shade, but North Kansas City Hospital, you've earned it. They refused to treat me for severe muscle and body pain because I've had the problem for a few years (though it got worse the past few weeks). They refused to do x-rays. They offered a pain pill at the hospital and were HIGHLY RUDE and completely downplayed my pain. I was literally in tears the whole time. I walked out of there ASAP and got a second opinion at another hospital ED and turns out, with an x-ray, the doctor found that I had arthritis in my spine and the damage was SO BAD, they asked me repeatedly if I'd just been in a car accident. No. Lie. Seriously considering an attorney. I would not trust them with my life. Please don't trust them with yours.
Brianna Reese: They have very skilled doctors and nurses. I wouldn’t really recommend this hospital because your bad incidents will outweigh your care and everything their good hardworking staff tries to do. I believe some of their staff is racist and cause harm to you when alone. For your safety as a black women please don’t go here for your care unless it’s only your primary. Meritas network is dangerous for you.
Joseph: Absolutely horrible experience for my grandmother
Steve moore: Patient room is dirty and no hot water in hand sink .this is not safe .patient has been in room 2 days with liquid diet and I cleaned a strawberry off floor tonight. Nurses are very loud in station discussing thing's from where to shop to patients that were positive for meth .against hipa I beleive.
Lorren Michele: This is my second time visiting this ER, this week, for the same matter. First time I waited well over two hours in severe pain until I finally left and sought treatment elsewhere. Today I have been here over an hour thus far; and was only one person in the waiting room, other than myself. I was triaged and brought to a room this time immediately. Pain at an 8/9...still haven't been seen. I even communicated that all I needed was a toradol injection for the pain and the details as to why. I don't live in kc and all the urgent cares are currently closed. This is the closest hospital to where I'm staying in town. If you have a medical emergency, I would not suggest coming here.Update: I repeatedly explained why I came in and what pain needed to be addressed. Still every person that came in inquiring kept saying I was here for back pain. Even when everything was said and done, my discharge papers are still stating I came in for back pain. How? I was told that I was given a 60 mg toradol injection, I'm sure I was only given 30 mg. Discharge papers don't present I was given anything at all. In less than an hour at square one due to being given a lower dose.
T Sears: Best around KC
Patricia Norton: I was visiting family in Kansas City and accidentally cut my finger. My family took me to North Kansas City Hospital ER. I have never received better medical treatment. I was quickly assessed and told I would need stitches. After a very short wait I was taken back and received three stitches in my finger. Everyone I dealt with was professional and compassionate. When I went to my doctor at home to have the stitches removed, he asked where I had gotten them. He said I would not have received care that good at our local hospitals.
E: Came in with my wife having trouble breathing still waiting after 4 hrs hasn't checked on her once except first intake asked several times explaining how shes in pain and having trouble breathing. There response all our beds are full nothing we can do worst er I've been to

Mahina Birth Support, LLC: what do users think?
Stacy Adkins: Having Charity’s doula support for my second birth made ALL the difference in the world. I did not have doula support for my first birth and comparing my two experiences - it’s so clear that I would not go through another birth without fouls support, and more specifically Mahina Birth Support.I could not have gotten through this unmedicated birth without Charity. If my husband were writing this review I believe he would be saying the same thing. Not only did Charity provide me with direct support and comfort during delivery, but she was imperative in guiding my husband along the way on how he could best support me as well (counter pressure here, rub here, etc.).Having her with us allowed both of us to feel truly present in the experience without the panic of what to do or fear of the unknown. THANK YOU, Charity! 💙
Amy McKinney: My husband and I cannot recommend Charity enough. As first-time parents, we entered pregnancy with a lot of excitement, but also a lot of questions and uncertainty. We knew we wanted to work with an experienced doula who could offer expert advice and guidance and also be a calm, supportive coach during labor and delivery. That is exactly what we got with Charity, and so much more. I am especially appreciative of the insight and advice she gave us early on to help us select a provider and hospital that aligned with our birth preferences. I found the labor planning and prep sessions we had with her as well as the resources she shared via the client portal extremely helpful in giving us a better idea of what to expect in childbirth. Additionally, she was always available and responsive to any questions we had about pregnancy and childbirth. Finally, Charity's support during labor and delivery was invaluable. Her coaching and support got me through each contraction and her expert advice helped us make the right intervention decisions. Childbirth didn't go as we had hoped and we made some decisions I didn't expect we would have to make, but having Charity there by our side and being able to rely on her guidance made me feel safer, more at ease, and confident in our decisions. I know without her there I would have struggled with fear and doubt.
Becky Schubkegel: Charity and the Mahina birth team truly changed our lives for the better. Being a first time mom, I had so many anxieties about the pregnancy journey and labor and delivery. Charity's kind calmness, validation, listening, and planning with us put us at ease. She was available from the moment we committed to her, and helped me through all kinds of questions and issues throughout pregnancy. During our labor experience, she was truly our steady rock when we were unsure how things were go. She helped give us voice and choice, and empowered us to have the most positive birth experience possible. We are so grateful for her time, dedication, and expertise. I would HIGHLY recommend Charity and the Mahina birth team for your birth experience- you are in the very best hands with them!
Hilary Andersen Carter: Charity was an incredible birth doula to help us prepare for an empowered birth and to have her with me during my labor. Ihad several high risk factors during my pregnancy and birth - there’s no one I would trust more than Charity to help us navigate those challenges. She’s very well respected at KU hospital (where I delivered) and so knowledgeable about childbirth. It was one of the best decisions we made to have her as our birth doula. I am enormously grateful for everything she did for us.
Meghan Peters: Charity was hands down the best investment we made during pregnancy! She really helped during pregnancy for me to thoughtfully consider my goals and prompted me to discuss different things with my health care team. The comfort measures session in our home allowed my husband to play an active role in helping me during labor. He did a fantastic job in providing me physical and emotional support, and I attribute a lot of this to the preparation from Charity and knowing what to expect. Charity came to the hospital exactly at the right time in labor and helped get me into different positions to move our baby into a good position. During each contraction, she would tell me when it was about to end, which really helped me to get through them. In between contractions, she told me what I might experience next. This all allowed me to stay calm and have an unmedicated labor, something I did not think would be possible for me! She communicated seamlessly with my health care team and advocated for my wishes. I never actually wrote down my birth preferences (even though I had planned to), but Charity communicated all of this information to my team seamlessly. She stayed after my birth to help me breastfeed for the first time, and really helped get us off to a great start. I truly cannot say enough good things about Charity— she is incredibly intuitive and empathetic. I can’t imagine giving birth without her and highly recommend doula support to all expecting parents!
christian miles: Megan was absolutely amazing. She was very informative and supportive the whole way through. She prepared us with techniques and exercises and when it came time for baby to come she was right by our side the whole way. She was always telling us our options and making sure we had all the tools we needed to make our experience comfortable. She was hands on and communicative and we couldn’t have done it without her! 5 star recommendation
Maggie Lewis: We are so pleased with the decision to hire Charity as our doula for the birth of our first child. She came recommended by a dear friend and was easy to reach early in pregnancy when we had little idea of what to expect. We chose to hire her after the introductory call based on her recommendation of area hospitals aligned to our goals. After we hired her, she was able to get a clearer picture of our desires and recommended the Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) we ended up choosing as our provider. We had established care with an OBGYN that may not have been a good match and Charity’s reassurance to change providers helped lay the foundation to advocate for myself throughout pregnancy and labor. I would rehire Charity based on her CNM recommendation alone. Our provider and the hospital she practices at treated us with so much kindness and respect. Because of their care, what could have been considered a negative birth experience ended up feeling ok.Charity was available for recommendations and ad hoc questions until the third trimester when her contribution became more significant as we began planning for birth. At 36 weeks my pregnancy got very unpredictable and Charity was flexible and supportive - even coming to a surprise hospital stay to teach us comfort measures and provide emotional support when an induction seemed imminent. I was very grateful to Charity for dispelling some pervasive myths about induction, medication, and other interventions based on latest research and the wisdom of her own experience. When it did come time for me to be induced Charity was attentive and communicative throughout 48 hrs of remote labor support until we called her in as labor ramped up. She was integral in our ability to navigate recommended interventions and our comfort with them. In person she was able to help me relax. Ultimately the labor ended in an unplanned cesarean and Charity helped us make peace with the circumstances, then gave my husband and I time alone to process. She stuck around after to ensure we got a good latch, then slipped out gracefully and followed up in a couple weeks to talk through the experience in our home.We credit Charity with our ability to emotionally navigate the unpredictability of a low risk pregnancy that suddenly wasn’t. She was key to helping me process the changes and the options available during induction. Her experience with labor and delivery in KC got us to our ideal care team. We cannot recommend her enough.
Ashly Kilz: I don't want to say I couldn't have given birth without Charity, but I certainly wouldn't want to do it. I interviewed several doulas and did a lot of research before picking Mahina Birth and I am so happy that I landed here. I had a lot of fear and anxiety going into pregnancy and Charity has this way about her that helps put you at ease. She is evidence based and knows her stuff and helped walk me through my options, and reassured me in moments (when I needed them most) that I was making the right choices. I wanted to go into my labor unmedicated. However I knew after going into labor that I wouldn't be able to cope and relax into my contractions. So I ended up getting an epidural. Even though I got an epidural Charity was with me every step of the way and was so unbelievably helpful in the pushing stage. I was fortunate enough to have Megan her apprentice at my delivery as well. Megan was kind and encouraging. I know hiring a doula is a costly expense but I was able to use my HSA and make payments and it was well worth every penny. My doctor, husband, and labor & delivery nurse had nothing but HIGH praises for Mahina Birth. I have had a very positive birthing experience and it is without a doubt due to Charity and Megan. They have both made a positive impact on my life that I will never forget.
Caitlin Sparks: Charity was the most beautiful person to have on our birthing team. She was the only doula we met with because I loved her so much! The preparation before the delivery was wonderful. The day before our birth, she walked me through my impending labor signs and gave me helpful suggestions to calm and prepare myself. The day I went into labor, she was on the phone with me at 5 AM was available to us via phone until she joined us. She was my tough love cheerleader when things got hard. I don’t think I could have birthed my baby without her being there. She advocated for me and made my first birth truly magical. I would strongly recommend Charity to anyone who wants a doula. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and filled with funny stories that makes labor go by a little faster.
C Peters: We are so pleased with our decision to use Charity as our doula. While this was our second pregnancy, we knew that every pregnancy can be different and we still wanted a doula to help us navigate decisions and coach us through our experience.Leading up to the birth we had multiple meetings with Charity and she provided a lot of resources to help prepare us for birth. One of the things I appreciated most about working with Charity was that I knew I was working with a professional but I also felt like I was working with a friend. She has a warm, peaceful presence which is very comforting and reassuring during pregnancy and birth. She really seeks to understand you so that she can provide the best care you need.On the day of the birth of our son, Charity walked us through the decision process of when to go to the hospital and was very responsive as we were texting and calling her. She had a great rapport with the hospital staff and was a calming presence during labor. She was also able to capture some fabulous pictures of when our son arrived that we will cherish forever. We can’t recommend Charity enough and are so thankful we chose her to be our doula.
Margaret Herre: We could not have asked for a better birth doula than Charity. We felt supported and safe throughout the birth process, especially when there were unexpected twists and turns. Charity’s extensive knowledge of hospital births helped us make informed choices as first time parents, and she really empowered us to use our voice. To top it all off, she is just a true joy to work with - her positivity and calm nature really helped reassure me when I felt anxious during labor. Charity was an essential part of our birth team, and we could not be more grateful to her. She really embodies what it means to be advocate for you and your wishes, without any judgement!
Sierra Davis: I am forever thankful to have Charity as my doula! She was recommended to us by a friend and right off the bat we knew she was a good fit for us. This was our first child and Charity provided resources for us to read and made sure to available when we had questions.During my birth she was there coaching and guiding my husband and I on different labor positions throughout the course of labor. She also made sure to talk to my mom throughout my labor to ease her stress. After my delivery, my baby had to be taken to the NICU and it was a bit of emotional for me. She stayed with me to make sure I was comfortable and provided me with reassurance that was very refreshing. If you are looking for someone who is compassionate, down to earth, evidence based and emotionally comforting, Charity is a great doula for you! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doula in the Kansas City area!
Lauren North: We had a wonderful experience with Charity throughout the pregnancy and birth. We did have to navigate through covid-times with virtual meetings only - but when she arrived for the birth it was like seeing someone we knew for a long time. She was just the support and guidance we needed in the hospital. We had many questions/scenarios during the pregnancy that she helped us navigate and provided a ton of insight to help us make the best decisions.Charity was suggested to us by my doctor, so the relationship already established there was seamless and symbiotic which put our minds at ease.We wouldn’t change having Charity as our doula for the world; and we’re so thankful for her services.
Timothy Herre: As first time parents, Charity did an amazing job setting us up for success. She listened to and respected our wishes for the birth plan we created. The whole birthing process is intimidating and wild but she was a very calming presence and her help was much appreciated. We will work with her again!
Erin Ardon: Charity is an absolutely amazing doula and I couldn’t imagine the birth of my twins without her support. For this birth, I knew I wanted to try for a VBAC, but when I found out we were expecting twins my hopes were diminished. However, I decided to find a doula that could help me have a positive birth experience regardless of whether it was a VBAC or c-section. Charity was the first and only doula that we had a consultation with, but we knew after our first meeting that she was not only highly knowledgeable about birth but also someone that we felt comfortable with and trusted to be a part of our birth team. Throughout my pregnancy Charity was available for me to ask questions and helped me evision the birth I desired during our birth plan meeting. During this meeting she went over all the details of how I hoped the birth of my twins would play out. She gave me confidence that I could still have a VBAC with my twins, but was also sensitive to the fact that if a cesarean was necessary we could still have a positive outcome and she would be there to guide us through that process. When my water broke at home, we contacted Charity right away and went to the hospital. Things progressed quickly and Charity was there soon after we requested her to come. At that point things were getting intense and when Charity walked in the room she immediately began providing physical and emotional support. Her presence was so calming to both me and my husband, who has some fear around labor and birth. Charity was not only perceptive of my needs during this experience but also the needs of my husband. She guided us through any intervention that was considered during labor and delivery and worked professionally with the medical team through the whole process. At this point everything was going smoothly towards achieving a VBAC and I believe that having Charity as my doula helped me get to that point. When it came time to deliver the twins the process took quite a long time between the birth of twin A and twin B, but Charity was patient, supportive, and encouraging. She never let me lose faith that I could do this. And I did! Without Charity as our doula, I don’t think the birth of our twins would have been the experience that we had. She gave me confidence throughout and was always intune to our needs. Charity was essential to helping us achieve a positive birth experience. We absolutely recommend Charity and believe that any birthing mother and her partner would be very fortunate to have her on their birth team.
Kayla Graves: One of the best decisions we made was to have Charity as a part of our birth experience. To have her to talk through my birth plan with, discuss concerns/questions and have a support person by my side was invaluable. In choosing to have an unmedicated birth, the support Charity provided gave not only the encouragement needed but a well-thought plan that helped make our birth one we will remember forever. As this was our first child, it was hard to know what to expect as far as a birth experience. Charity provided a calming and reassuring presence and advocated for my wishes during each step of labor and delivery. She was also a wonderful support person for my husband and was able to discuss ways that he could be involved in the labor process.I feel that Charity caters her approach to each individual client and really listens to what kind of birth experience you’re wanting all while bringing a great amount of experience to the table. I found this approach to be incredibly accommodating and created a relaxed and supportive birth experience throughout. I was also impressed by how highly regarded she is among the hospital staff. This review certainly does not encapsulate our tremendous experience with Charity, but it certainly gave me the desire to promote doulas for everyone’s birth, especially with the first. In summary, I could not imagine having my baby girl without Charity by my side and feel so thankful for her. We will certainly be promoting her to every person who is considering or curious about having a doula!-Kayla
Sarah Rodgers: I cannot say enough great things about Charity. As first time parents we were a bit nervous about the pregnancy and birthing process especially during COVID. We had to change providers due to our initial provider going on maternity leave shortly before we were due. She had an extensive list of resources concerning providers in the area that she has worked with. We appreciated her candor regarding her experiences with providers and hospitals. It allowed for us to choose a new provider and hospital quickly. Charity was up to date on all of the policies in various hospitals. Throughout the pregnancy it was nice to know she was just one message away when we had concerns about what ‘normal’ looked like in pregnancy and she had amazing resources to share through each step of the process. Each meeting with Charity felt like speaking with a friend. She addressed both of our concerns and was sure to address my partner in each aspect of conversation. Labor started late at night and she answered the phone extremely quickly. She spoke in a calm tone. She talked us through a couple of strong contractions, and through her experienced judgment made the recommendation for us to go to the hospital. We are so glad she did! We got to the hospital, and 30 minutes later our baby girl was born. Had she not told us to head to the hospital, our daughter would have been born at home or in the car with no medical guidance. The labor took 3 hours from the start of first contraction, and unfortunately she was not able to make it to the hospital quick enough for the actual birth. She walked in right as our daughter was born. She did capture the first moments of us as a family, my partner cutting the umbilical cord, the first moments of attempting breastfeeding and much more. There were so many great emotions captured in her photography that even though we had a fast and furious birth that she was not able to be a part of physically, we are very glad we had her still take the photos. We would not change any part of our birth experience with charity. She was such a blessing to us and will most definitely be enlisting her services for any future kiddos down the line.
Becca Hamel: Charity is rare - such a refreshing balance of love and education and empowerment. She was endlessly supportive during my delivery and checked in during postpartum care also with excellent wisdom. She made my husband comfortable and it felt very natural to have her in the room with us. Her photos of the birth will be cherished forever. Thank you Charity, I couldn't have done this without you!
Shawnalee Criss Petty: For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to have a doula apart of my birth experience. After an extended search I came across Charity’s website. Her page offered detailed information of her services, which was incredibly helpful in deciding to invest. And what an investment it was! From the first consultation meeting, she was incredibly knowledgeable and calm. This offered us a sense of relief knowing that she would be apart of our birth experience. I knew my husband and I made the right decision to secure her support services when my healthcare team looked forward to working with her.Charity’s support started with providing helpful information that would improve my well-being over the course of my pregnancy. She worked extensively with my husband and I to devise a birth plan. Charity communicated thoroughly about what we would expect for our hospital birth, which left us feeling incredibly prepared. She went out of her way to be available to us through messaging. This helped whenever we had a question or information to discuss with her.As my pregnancy progressed, she offered additional support to my husband and prepared him for what to expect with my induction. When the time came to be induced, she was there every step of the way with a calming energy. As I labored for 40-hours, she was not only a support person to me but my husband. She empowered him to provide the physical and emotional support I needed. For that, I will forever be grateful for Charity.Lastly, we invested in her photography services for delivery. After assisting with our delivery, she captured moments that I will forever cherish. When she presented the photos to us, I remembered feeling incredibly emotional not because of the experience but because she was such a gift to us during our birth experience. As evidenced by my experience, securing Charity’s services will be the best investment you’ll make. If we can have another child, without hesitation, Charity will be the first person we call.
Taylor Petty: When I think about our experience with having Charity as our doula, I can’t begin to describe the depth of impact that her presence and support had on our labor journey. Charity was there for us along every step of the journey. If there is any advice that I would give to someone reading this review is to secure Charity as your doula sooner than later. Her process to develop a birth plan, discuss the impact of emergent situations that developed during our pregnancy, and continued communication throughout the initial phases of labor and culminating with her help in the hospital is the single reason that I can say that our 40 hour labor journey was spent feeling calm, supported, and informed about what was happening to my wife. As a husband and support person, it is difficult to watch your wife experience pain but Charity helped provide me with step by step ways to assist her during each hour of labor. Finally, the photos that Charity took during delivery will be some of the most cherished photos we have. If there is any other endorsement I would make for Charity it is that afterwards the first thing my wife and I agreed to is that Charity would be the first phone call we make if we are fortunate enough to have another child.
Ashton Williams: If you are having a baby and don’t hire Charity, you’re not doing it right. We are so incredibly grateful for her being an invaluable part of our birth team…and now a part of our family. We decided pretty late in our pregnancy (33 weeks) to partner with a doula after spending time researching birth plans. We wanted to make our first birth experience divine. After interviewing Charity, we had no doubt that partnering with her would be an amazing decision. She immediately addressed our fears and concerns with her knowledge and reassuring approach. We learned so much in our prenatal sessions with her, leading us to feel very confident and comfortable with our birth plan. She was always so responsive if we had questions…no matter what time of day, she made herself available and present for us. We know Charity has been a part of hundreds of births (sometimes several in one day), but she made our birth experience feel like it was her one and only by giving her full heart and attention. While our birth plan didn’t completely go as desired, having her there resulted in a birth experience that we prayed for: a successful delivery, with mom and baby safe and dad empowered and supported. She was critical in helping us navigate situations that we did not anticipate. Even when those situations were stressful, we felt so seen, heard, affirmed and supported by her. Charity’s gift for supporting parents throughout the journey to birth is admirable. We’re gathering signatures for her to win doula of the world!Charity’s reputation precedes her…she is the BEST. What is so beautiful is that she is focused on her impact in the world, not her image or influence. She has a heart for people and for creating person-centered experiences for one of the most sacred and precious events in life. She doesn’t take a “one-size fits all'' approach or pressure you into a decision by providing her opinion. She partners with you, empowers you with knowledge, encouragement, and confidence, and coaches you with grace.Thank you, Charity for giving us your time, support, and heart. We are eternally grateful for you.

Liberty Hospital: what do users think?
John Lowe: I received excellent care.
Della Mcelwee: Was at the breast care center on 4/17 and they are so nice. They make u feel comfortable. I highly recommend them for a woman's mammogram. Thanku ladies
John Roush: Got the job dome
Theresa Lee: Amazing staff!! very Professional very nice facility you guys do a great job
Candace Stamp: Best hospital ever!
Daniel Kenyon: Great Place. I travel a extra 15 miles just to go to this Hospital.
Ibrahim Jaber: 3 hours to even get through triage... seems like the triage nurse is a one man show: check ins, vitals, and doctor.... come on liberty let's do better.
Melissa McMullin: I can’t say enough about the kind and caring staff that work here! I went in for ankle surgery and the pre-op team explained the whole process to me and made me feel very at ease. The surgical team and post-op team were so awesome as well! They did everything to make me as comfortable as possible! The hospital is very clean and organized. I would definitely recommend Liberty hospital to anyone. You won’t find a better group of nurses!
Daniel Bice: The promptly got me into traige and to an e.r. room due to the severity of my condition via wheelchair which I greatly appreciate. And the were amazing at being thorough at trying to figure out what was wrong with me. They ran soon many tests. Looking at the list of all of them was surprising. All the staff has been totally kind to me. Even the lady that brings me my food sometimes will take the time to stop a moment and chat with me. It always makes the day better when you get to interact with someone who has a very bright and happy disposition. The good vibes spread every where they go.
howard lonsdale: All the staff from room service, doctors and physical therapist are amazing, but the nurses are quite frankly the nicest most caring people I ever met, truly a credit to their profession. I would highly recommend them
Ray Eichelberger: I.m 68 years old and this was the first time ever for me to stay in a hospital . I was in for blood clots and pneumonia. The staffing was out of this world for ever thing always heard about hospital. the food was great to . Eat my shear of it. I have nothing bad to say about my stay. they beat all of my expectation
Steve Kline: This hospital shouldn't be allowed to operate.went to er and got looked at and sent home. Two weeks later went agin for the same thing, they kept me 2 days1 week later had to go to another hospital , doing better now. They billed me 2 times for the same thing that did no good at all. sTAY AWAY!
Matt Brickell: Every single person in the interventional radiology clinic was wonderful. Had a procedure done today and was totally impressed. Thank you.
Analysia Nguyen: Was seen Friday for being really sick the dr and nurse were very friendly caring helpful
Dorothy Norris: My husband has general surgery at Liberty Hospital today. I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Good, Dr Porter and ALL of the nursing staff! In pre-op, Kris was just so nice! In post- op, Nicole and the other nurses were just wonderful as well!Let's face it, no one really wants to have surgery, but if it's needed, this is the staff you want to take care of you! Thank you so much!
Rich Cockriel: Id like to know if the higher ups know how hard it is for handicapPerson to navigate the revolving door. And they hardly ever have a plus size wheelchair at the front door. Also like to add you have taken away the armed chair in same waiting room. When are handicap it is hard to get of chairs with no arms
Jim Conway: Minimal wait in E.R.
Nika Howard: 2023 UPDATE: Yet again Liberty Hospital has held its crown as worst hospital in the area. My father was in the hospital for health issues and unfortunately passed away. While my family was in the room grieving over our loved one, a nurse came in and asked if we were almost done because they needed to turn over the room. Again, the nurse asked us to hurry along so they could use the room literally minutes after my father passed away. I cannot explain to you the feeling of hearing those words and being so carelessly tossed aside so they could continue to make money. Naturally we decided to stay in the room for several more hours to grieve as we needed.I am begging you, PLEASE if you have to take a loved one to a hospital DO NOT GO HERE. Time and time again myself and my family have been disrespected and utterly mistreated by the staff and lack of caring, empathy, and knowledge by the employees here. What a waste of space. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. My husband was having an extremely large and painful kidney stone in the process of passing. Alarmed, we went to the ER where the joke of a doctor gave him several scans, said he had appendicitis, and just prescribed him painkillers. My husband has a medical background and explained to the doctor what was going on, the doctor (who I can only image to be a complete moron), stated the pain wasn't from a kidney and said they didn't see anything on the scan. They then reported to our insurance that it was a pre-existing condition even though my husband has never had a kidney stone in his life. This caused the insurance to deny the claim and we paid out of pocket for Libery's mistakes. We later went to a urologist in Columbia who found an 8.5 mm kidney stone (for size reference that's about the equivalent of a grain of wild rice) and when showed the scans from Liberty, my husband and the urologist could immediately find the stone. The attendant was completely inept and couldn't figure out how to update our address and when asked about financial assistance, the hospital said they couldn't help us because we didn't live in Libery, even though my husband's address was listed in Liberty. NOW we are still paying for the hospital's negligence and they have resorted to sending us "FINAL NOTICE" bills even though we have never missed or had a late payment. When called to ask about this, the people have no clue what is going on and I'm convinced this hospital has become a sham for just funneling people's money into. Whatever you do avoid this hospital like the plague, chances are you are going to be misdiagnosed and overcharged.
Lonna D: I have been going to LH for a few years now off and on and have had nothing but good experiences. I will gladly go back, as needed.
Justin Burns: Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. I had a heart issue and an adrenal issue which they didn’t even find out they just sent me to one of their electrocardiologists and said my current condition wasn’t because of the heart and then left without giving any recommendations and sent me home with a resting heart rate of 130 and I ended up throwing up everyday for 2 weeks. The doctor was rude too. If you want to survive go to KU hospital.
Michelle Heiber: My fiancé is a truck driver and had to be admitted to liberty hospital for covid with pneumonia. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor that seen him was very informative and friendly. I would recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone

Birthright of Greater Kansas City MO: what do users think?
Gentry Toman: Birthright of Kansas City is not a medical facility. It is a fake clinic. It does not comply with HIPAA laws, so your medical information is not private and confidential. It misleadingly presents itself online by implying that it provides information about abortion and birth control while actually spreading fear about abortion safety to people who are in need of real assistance. Do NOT fall for their lies.
Lindsey Rickards: These are the most beautiful women I have ever met. It was 10 years ago when I came to Birthright I was pregnant sperated from my family homeless and I was scared. These women helped me as much as they were able they listened to me, cared for me comforted me and most importantly prayed for me with my permission of course. I am whole again now, my relationship with my family is restored. My life is in order and my children are happy. I will never forget what you did I still think about it I pray for you now and hold you forever in my heart all I can say is Thank You and even that doesn't cover the gratefulness that I feel.❤
Michael: Great place and super helpful to women who might be pregnant
Tan Ya: They offer a lot of help and support along with items for your baby! All of the women on here that are expecting them to support them for abortion are very ignorant and shouldn’t have even taken that type of situation to this place!! Birthright is all volunteers and donations and they do everything they can to make sure you have enough for your newborn! Great for first time moms!!
Sara Conklin: This is NOT an abortion clinic, nor will they give you accurate information about all of your choices. This is a religious organization who will lie and shame you for considering abortion. They lie about possible complications and side effects, they lie about gestation, whatever they can say to shame you enough to carry a pregnancy. There is no actual medical staff, no doctors, no nurses, just highly religious people who want to influence you to make the decision they agree with. STAY AWAY.
lois malone: Good PEOPLE
Alberta Dawe: Nice
Kelly Ogle: They help women and babies. Wonderful people.
thewifejohnson: The ladies here are so nice, and you can get a free pregnancy test for Medicaid applications. I've used them for six years now. They also offer free maternity clothes and baby clothes.
Ashley Johnson: Love this place and the ladies and the wonderful things they do for the community. I'm looking at the other reviews and I truly don't understand. I hate that the other people didn't get the same experience as I did. These are volunteers and they work off of donations and grants. If you ever have the time to volunteer or items to be donated please give them a call, they will love your efforts! 😘😘
Alan Marshall: I am grateful to Birthright for all you have done for me and my extended family in making my "Birthright baby" possible. My daughter continues to be an "occasion of great joy". Thank you so much. Julie
Jamie Nixon: These people are lying to women and providing medically inaccurate information. They are not doctors or nurses. They are not authorized to give any medical advice they are strictly here to make you feel guilty about having an abortion. They want you to keep your fetus regardless of your circumstances and they will do nothing to help you once you have a child.

My KC Doula: what do users think?
Marie Sandridge: I reached out to My KC doula early in my pregnancy looking for Christian doulas because I wanted my first unmedicated birth to be a spiritual experience involving the Holy Spirit. I was introduced to Lydia and Samantha and knew they were exactly what I was looking for. I felt supported my entire pregnancy and was able to contact them with all my questions. When labor finally came Samantha was on call and I couldn’t have done my unmedicated hospital birth without her! She coached me through labor with positive talk and helped me through my contractions with counter-pressure on my hips to relieve back labor pain. A week after my baby’s birth Samantha came over to check in on me and talk about my labor. It was all such a wonderful experience! I am so glad I went with my KC doula! They were well worth the investment!!
Allison: My doula team, Lauren and Hannah, were angels! I was paired with them based off of my birth plan. They understood what I wanted and helped me speak for myself during my medical induction. They were a calming presence when I risked out of the birth center and became high-risk. Lauren would text with me in the early hours of the morning when I was overwhelmed as a new Mom. Can't say enough good things about them!
Lorie Robinson: We LOVED our experience with Lydia as a post partum night-time helper! Lydia was personable, knowledgeable, and super awesome at caring for our little boy during the night (so BOTH mom and dad could get a full night's sleep). However, I would say my favorite part of our experience was her observations and insights when our little man was struggling with belly issues that were affecting his ability to be comfortable enough to eat and sleep well. And once we got those worked out, she encouraged me to think ahead to when I was returning to work and how I was going to gradually get him sleeping longer at night time. I didn't even know this existed, but with a 2 year old and a newborn, my sister recommended this service and my mom offered to pay so we signed up for a couple nights a week for 3 or 4 weeks. It was so worth it! If you are able to pay for this, I would HIGHLY recommend Lydia and My KC Doula. This was a super helpful service for either a first time mom or after a sibling is born!
Isaac Ames: I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Sam and My KC Doula. I was skeptical at first when my wife said she wanted a doula for the birth of our second child - I didn’t really get it or see the need. But after our experience with Sam, I am now a life-long advocate for anyone who feels they need any support at all during labor.Sam was responsive, extremely knowledgeable and professional. She was able to quickly recognize my wife’s needs when labor became difficult and communicate with her in ways I couldn’t. She respected our boundaries and made us feel at ease. I’ll be recommending her my little sister when she delivers in June - six stars.
M Ames: I TRULY could not have given birth the way I did without Sam with my KC Doula. At first I wasn’t really sure how a doula would be helpful, but HOLY MOLEY, having her in the room made all the difference, especially since my delivery nurse wasn’t very empathetic. Sam helped me focus on mentally getting ahead of my contractions while also assisting in birth positions and making sure I was as comfortable as I could be.Not only that, but having a doula in no way belittled having my partner there. He felt like he was 100% involved and played his part as Husband/Dad assisting our little one into the world. He was extremely helpful (as directed by Sam when needed) and came out of the experience with the same amount of gratitude and awe of what a positive experience having a doula there had been.I cannot recommend My KC Doula enough. If you’re wondering whether or not you should do it, girl, DO IT. It will only make your experience all that much better. And let’s be real: giving birth is a big deal.

New Birth Company, Overland Park: what do users think?
Catherine Solbrig (Kitty): I started my care with New Birth as soon as we found out we were pregnant. It took some time to get into orientation and get our first appointment because they only take on as many moms as they can handle, and we're grateful for that because we've been able to get excellent care and all the focused attention we need. At one point in my pregnancy, I came down with the flu and ended up severely dehydrated. In the middle of the night, we were able to talk to the nurse on call, explore options to get medication in our neighborhood, and ultimately we went into New Birth for IV fluids and anti-nausea meds in the middle of the night on a holiday. We're so grateful that we had this resource and didn't have to go through urgent care! Everyone is very invested in making sure that both I and my husband are well informed and comfortable. I hope that we can have all our babies here.
Jonniece M: if i could give 0 stars i would. Susannah dismissed the fact that my water had broken because she was in such a rush that day. she was so rude and nasty i reported her to the front desk and i received a call from the director i don’t remember her name . anyway i was sent home for 3 days with a broken water and only labored for about 2 hrs at the birthing center before being transferred to a nearby hospital where i was given a emergency c-section and put to sleep. i was so excited about my natural birth but now all i’ve been left with is trauma and no memory of having my FIRST child.i’ve had to see different therapists and psychiatrist because of how this midwife treated me . they were all very dismissive of what their co worker had done to me there’s no notation of what happened the day she “checked my water” i highly don’t recommend ladies get you a doula and do a home birth
River Walsh: We had our baby there 3 years ago and just about everything about the experience was bad. We had a terrible mid wife we tried to leave to go to the hospital that they said was minutes away and they made us drive pretty far away to give birth. (Albeit this was the location that's no longer open)
John Michael: Not happy with the way payments are done or handled.Otherwise care by the Doctors are excellent.
T R: Extremely happy with my decision to continue care here over being with my OBGYN. The staff was so friendly throughout my journey. I felt more prepared after attending the classes and listened to whenever I brought up concerns or questions. Was very satisfied with how well I was treated during my delivery and my midwife that helped me deliver was very kind and knowledgeable. We've moved out of state since having my son but would not hesitate coming back if we still lived nearby. If you're looking for a birthing center in the area this is the one. Thank you so much !!
Amanda Meyer: I delivered at new birth company 3 years ago and had the best experience so needless to say when we found out we were pregnant with our fourth that’s where we chose to go. The care leading up until now has been ok this time around but because of my age I had to go for an ultrasound at 36weeks. It was found that I have polyhydramnios and was set on weekly appointments to monitor this. My fluid levels did increase and when I asked if it could be something I’m eating or drinking that’s causing it I was told there’s no way to know for sure. I wasn’t given a late gestational diabetes test to determine if diet was the cause or given any recommendations what so ever about things I could try or cut from my diet. Fast forward to 39.5 weeks when I could literally go into labor ANYTIME I get a phone call that they are dropping me as a patient and asking my preference on where to transfer me! I should add this was done on a Friday! I was so upset I couldn’t even think straight here I am about to go into labor anytime and now I have no where to go. The only option they gave me was to pick a hospital I wanted my medical records sent to and to try to find an OB that would see me this late! To say I went from excited to have my baby to stressed beyond any point I’ve ever been is an understatement. I cannot believe that they would just abandon a patient at full term over the weekend with the only option being head to any hospital you choose. I would never go back.
Courtney L: Had our daughter here in 2020 and had exceptional help prenatally and especially post-natal care. My wife and baby were struggling with breastfeeding and on day 4 we called NB to express our concerns, they saw us within and hour and worked with our family on helpful tools and latching techniques. All of their services are covered all under one bill from conception to post-partum care so you never have to worry about how much it'll cost for additional visits or care. The birth tub was a little small for delivering in but I hear one of the rooms now has a large birth pool, will be checking it out for baby #2.
Debbie A: Our team was awesome and gave us an outstanding birthing experience.. Thank you all so much!!!
Grace Canon: I wish I had a review of their services to give, but unfortunately I they are unreachable and therefore I could not even be seen by their office to have my birth there. After attending one of their virtual orientations and filling out all the paperwork and forms they requested, I waited the 1-2 weeks they said it may take to get me scheduled for my first appointment. After almost a month without being contacted, I began calling and emailing their office. I called in the middle of business hours and never once had someone answer the phone or call me back after leaving a message specifically requesting that they do so at their earliest convenience. I understand that there are times they may be busy and unable to pick up their phone, but to not call back or email a potential client who has contacted you multiple times over multiple weeks is tragically poor business practices. Obviously pregnancy is a very time sensitive thing, and due to their unresponsiveness I am now having to work harder to make a new birth plan that is not the one I had originally wanted. If they are so busy that they cannot accept new patients at this time, they need to make that clear on their website and have someone answering their office phone to explain that.
Caitlyn Brock: I just recently had my third baby at New Birth and I have had great experiences with all of them! All three of my births I’ve delivered with a different midwife and they have all been gracious and supportive, allowing my body to do what it needed without intervention. I’ve recommended New Birth to many friends, who have also had great experiences - the only reason I would consider not going back is to do a home birth instead since my third labor lasted one hour from first contraction to delivery. As someone who has had three babies in the last 3 years, so basically received ongoing care for the last 4 years, I’d say over this last year I’ve seen the administrative side of things improve dramatically - Jennifer has been a wonderful addition to the team! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because as many others have said - billing is a mess. I’ve needed a refund for my first two births because I paid up front based on their estimate and overpaid. You have to be your own advocate, and it took months of phone calls and emails before it was resolved. If you are someone who is interested in a natural birth and want to have freedom in your choices, this is a great option to consider!
Austin Lahman: New Birth is such a wonderful place! My wife and I have never had a bad experience here. We have had a bit of an issue getting answers in regards to a refund, and Jennifer was able to help point us in the right direction. Jennifer deserves a raise!
Jenna Bentrop: I really wanted to love New Birth... and I tried, but if I were to have another baby, I would definitely be looking elsewhere. From the rude front desk receptionist, to the lack of knowledge or communication amongst the midwives, it was like a new appointment every time. The whole billing process was a complete joke. I was required to pay my full deductible up front.... in which I didn't meet... and receiving my refund took 7 MONTHS! This was just New Birth over charging me for a natural birth, in which they know full well wouldn't of met my deductible, still was a requirement to pay before they would deliver my baby. I wouldn't of even known I overpaid unless I contacted my insurance for another health provider issue (b/c I thought I hit my deductible) and they shared I hadn't! It took multiple calls, emails and a threat to contact the better business bureau before a conf. call was had and a check was sent in the mail ASAP. Horrible business practices and customer service.
David McDonald: New Birth Company should be shut down before their incompetency kills someone! My wife, who was a patient of New Birth Company, started "leaking fluid" at approximately 30 weeks pregnant. She then contacted the birthing center and was told incontinence is common in the 3rd trimester. She then had 2 or 3 in-person appointments with different nurses while leaking amniotic fluid and complaining of such. She was told at each appointment that incontinence is common and to wear a pad. It turns out that her water was broken (since 30 weeks) and there is a simple swab test that should have been administered to confirm of it was pee or amniotic fluid which was never used, more even mentioned. The doctor's at the hospital where she delivered were shocked at the poor care my wife recieved at the new Birth Company.Even excluding the failure to diagnose a premature rupture of her amniotic fluid sack, the service we received at the New Birth Company was sub-1 star. I waited with my wife for over an hour one of her appointments where she was literally forgotten about in the waiting room. Stay far, far, away from this place if you want competent medical care.
Rachel Angell: I absolutely loved my experience at New Birth Company. The midwives truly care well for each mother and baby. They are educated and informed and I always felt we were in good hands. I am first time mom and had the birth of my dreams! I had a water birth and it was truly the most amazing and empowering experience. The nurses and midwives took great care of us afterwards as well. I would definitely recommend New Birth Company if you are looking for a natural birth experience.
Heidi Coffman: The midwives at New Birth Company are so lovely. They make you feel cared for and take time to answer all your questions. I’ve had two births with them and the experience was wonderful each time. It feels like the midwives and front desk staff at New Birth Company are a part of our family.
Liv Mariee: I’ve got too many positive things I could say about this place so I’ll just leave it with have your baby here. I tell everyone I can that they listen and make you feel safe, I love this place.
Harmony McCain: I had my first child @NBC and they were amazing. I am really glad I got to experience a water birth with my daughter, and I’m even happier it was with you guys. They genuinely do everything in their power to make you as comfortable as possible, and explained everything to me at every appointment, and during labor. 10/10 recommend (:
Phoebe Park: I had a great experience with New Birth Company. After having a terrible traumatic birth with my first at a hospital, I was so glad to have found this place. I was thankful to have control over my body & baby during prenatal care and delivery. The nurses and midwives were kind and respectful of me & my husband's choices. The birth was calm and peaceful with minimal interventions. The midwife assured me that my body knows what it's doing. (Very different from the hospital where the nurses pushed down on my belly and told me when to push). Truth is, natural birth hurts. It's painful but it's natural and necessary. The best thing about natural birth is the recovery process. Without any epidural, medications, antibiotics, episiotomy, my body was almost back to normal couple hours after delivery. It was a miracle since I couldn't walk properly for days after the hospital delivery. I am very grateful to all the staff and I will definitely choose natural again!
Micaela Walker: I first checked out New Birth because someone told us it could save some money, but I was skeptical about the process and had a lot of questions. Turns out New Birth Company was exactly the place I needed to be for my first baby. They have a naturalistic approach to childbirth which allowed me and my husband space to research exactly what we wanted to do without feeling inundated with pressures of hospital approaches to prenatal and pediatric care. Our prenatal appointments covered everything we needed to know and do to have a healthy baby and delivery. The childbirth classes they offer were very informative and helped me feel prepared. And my birth day was so positive. The midwife gave us support when we needed but also let my body do what it’s made to do, and me and my baby had a smooth delivery because of it. Will definitely be going back for our next baby!
Kyra Bianchi: I could rave about this company for ages! Everything went exactly how I wanted it to! Great staff, great company, great location. Perfect little building to have a baby in.
Chloe Dickerson: I had my first baby at New Birth company. Most people can't say that they loved giving birth, but New Birth made it one of the best experiences of my life! From the amenities to the knowledgeable, helpful, and loving staff, everything was perfect. I highly recommend New Birth to anyone, especially those wanting to take control of their birth day and make it a magical experience.

Planned Parenthood - Comprehensive Health Center: what do users think?
Ariana Moran: I came here for an abortion and they took beautiful care of me. They were very kind and caring towards my needs, the nurses were very gentle to me after the procedure. Even during they kept me calm and i felt very safe with them. Didn't even take as long as we thought which was good. Very grateful for these women.
Channing Miller: Genuinely kind and comforting staff. I can’t thank them enough.
Jesseca Reed: Staff was amazing until I got to the part to do my surgical abortion. I was poked three times with a needle (could not find my vein) until they put it in my hand and I explained I didn’t see a vein where she poked it and they still left it there. I was suppose to receive the highest dose of medicine (which is two medicines put in you) to help with my abortion and felt like I received nothing. Once the abortion started I started to notice something didn’t feel right the further they kept going. I said something. She kept going. It wasn’t until I screamed and started crying for them to notice and all the doctor told the nurse to do was to inject me with more medication while they continued to do it. Felt like they were worried about getting done within that 10 min mark. After 4 days I notice huge blood clotting and excessive pain. Felt like I was giving birth. Went to the emergency room to find out that they did not do things proper and I will now undergo another surgery. I explained to another nurse that I felt I could trust at the appointment hey I have had an abortion before and I know I’m not suppose to be feeling like this and she processed to say everybody is different. I know this is the only place that can get you an appointment quick but hold off. This is literally not worth the risk .
Piper Brewer: First time coming here after moving, immediately was told that they’re closed until Wednesday when they have a full parking lot. Change your hours if you’re not going to let people in.
Rebekah Santoya: Came here all the way here so they could inform me as I'm checking in that the doctor had left for an Emergency... Therefore they couldn't perform any procedures. This is super super wrong in so many ways and there should be another doctor here in case one has to leave.
Morgan f: This place and these people are the best. I'm so blessed by them, from the security guard to the doctors, to my trip advisor (Tia), you all made this experience a little less challenging on me. Sierra was the best nurse and without her I don't think I would have made it through this. Thank you all..❤️
Quinn “Q” N.: Great advice
Skylar L.: i’m actually not sure why there’s any negative reviews for overland park’s planned parenthood. i never had any issues with phone calls or nurses. i had a long drive from OKC to here, they even helped me with getting a hotel so i would be able to make my appointment on time. everyone there is so kind and compassionate, they truly want to help you the best way they can. hannah was one of my nurses and she was super nice, she made sure i understood everything that was going to happened. and sierra made everything go by so quick in the OR. they talked to me the whole time just trying to make me as comfortable as possible. i would definitely recommend friends and family to overland park.
Melissa Kavanagh: refuses to refund money for services not recieved...and they just hang up when you try to contact there billing department...I normally fully support them but not when they do corrupt business.
Apple Synomon: Denied me care over a simple birth control appointment.
Fae Davidson: They can be really helpful but they love to cancel appointments
Mariah Carr: They provide excellent care when you're physically in the office, but when you aren't, good luck. Stay on them if you have to call them for literally anything. Takes over a week of playing phone tag to get a basic birth control prescription filled. They also recently got rid of their callback option, so if you need to speak to someone, your only option is to sit on the phone and hold. Very pleasant people, but their funding being cut shows. Unfortunate.
Daniella Clay: They were so kind! The nurse taking my blood even rewrapped my arm from a burn I had from work. They were so kind and help my hand through it all... I'll never forget the kindness through something so scary.
G Hi: Honestly not sure of the negative comments. Maybe it was from years ago, but you are definitely allowed to bring your cell phone in. It sucks due to Covid protocol that you can’t have a support system. They tell you it’s going to take hours. Whether you have an appointment or not. So take the day off, and stop complaining. They are trying. As far as the No answering phones I’ve always had someone answer my call AND return it. So some of y’all must have gotten them on a bad day. And we are allowed to have those. Everyone here is so kind and non judgemental.
Daquitta Powell: They was very nice all the staff they made me feel very comfortable thank yall soo much I appreciate yall for not judging
AutumnsDusk: Absolutely lovely place. All staff were very kind throughout my procedure, sweet and understanding. It took a very long time, so don't plan on doing anything else if you're here for a termination. Looked clean, and all staff were following COVID19 restrictions perfectly.
Josie Fitzgibbon: Unless you plan on waiting for 4+ hours in the waiting room for your appointment that was scheduled weeks in advance I do not reccomend this location. It is an hour and a half passed closing and still waiting to be seen.
Yifan Zhu: Yes the whole process takes long time. But you'll get things done in just one half-day appointment. All staffs I met here are so nice, professional, and compassionate. The online appointment scheduling is convenient and they have much more slots available than other clinics. They send you detailed instructions prior to your appointment. Yes your bag will be searched but cell phone is allowed in, and there's a big TV in the waiting lobby. All the rooms are bright and clean, even the supply room. Yes I entered their supply room because the tornado warning right during my visit, and that's the safety room. A patient didn't look well so a staff (should be a doctor) gave her water and a pill to help. She also checked if I'm doing OK which I'm very thankful. My husband and daughter were waiting for me in the car, security guys offered them to come inside for safety. One important thing is that do bring your own card to pay at check-in, or you'll need to reschedule.
Jacob Collins: Staff is extremely friendly!
Emily Autumn: Would have chose 0 stars if it was an option... first appointment was scheduled weeks in advance and set for 10:30am. I did not get seen till the office was already closed for the day at 3pm. Took an additional hour of waiting for other doctors and didn’t leave till around 4:20pm. I was waiting for almost 6 hours!!! Not to mention you can’t bring in a support system so you’re waiting all alone. Second appointment I have been waiting for an hour, no one has spoke to me at all and it’s only a follow up... again they close in 20 mins and the lobby is still full.... would recommend going to a different location or somewhere else completely. (:
Amanda Turvey: first time i went they had me reschedule then the next day i bounced around from waiting room to waiting room for almost 4 hours not the best experience
