I brought family that was from out of town to city market, and we decided to stop by because they have never been to Minskys. Our waitress knew nothing about the menu, was extremely unattentive, and when our pizza came they both were so soggy and under cooked. lynn: The food was decent. I had the deep dish sausage and pepperoni pizza. It arrived lukewarm, I think because it was the deep dish crust, it was quickly corrected when I mentioned it. Howies Garden: I came here in search of KC's best pizza, and because of the Andy Reid recommendation. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza, a calzone, and an order of toasted ravioli. The t-ravs were sausage, and although the breading was seasoned, it was very underwhelming. My calzone looked beautiful, but that's where it stopped. The center wasn't even melted, and the sauce was bland. The cheese pizza was just OK, and nothing to write home about. I'm sure others really enjoy this place, so I'm going to say it was maybe just an off-day.

kelly dodd: I love this place, we’ve been coming here consistently for over 10 years now. But after last night’s visit, we think it might be time to explore the city’s pizza options and find a new pizza haunt to call home. I feel like I’m cheating on this place even writing this, and I definitely don’t want to get into the nitty gritty of what occurred yesterday evening because I respect so many of the staff so much. One of the employees (who knows us so well she can put the order in without us even saying a word) tried her hardest to right the wrong, but could only do so much because “she couldn’t go against her manager”. Should one bad experience negate not coming back? Perhaps not. However, it’s happened more than a few times that we’ve been made to feel like we’re asking for too much when we’re just trying to get what we actually ordered. Unfortunately, last night was the cherry on top. Pizza 51, (and a bunch of you behind the counter) you will be missed!
Joelle Melling: Great pizza, inadequate seating and shade. Umbrellas in summer would greatly improve the experience so customers aren’t competing for shade. Also, a visual cue or sign so people know to bus their own tables could help clear more indoor seating (you can’t see the tray drop-off from where you order, and if indoor seating is full, you never see it).Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is sometimes available.
Simeon Karnes: Two topping lunch combo cannot be beaten. The pizza itself is also fantastic. One of our go-to places for lunch at work and school!
Bill Smith: I’m all about supporting local businesses, will no longer support this place unless ownership changes. The owner was out of line with his huffy puffy passive aggressiveness regarding a group of soccer players. (7 year olds). He then finally burst into his parent shaming of how we were allowing our children to conduct themselves as if they were a group of Ferrell animals. They weren’t disrupting anyone and there was no need to approach the situation the way he did. Word to the owner, you’re pizza 51, not Capital Grille stay in your lane and you should be thankful for the party of 20+ we brought you. I’m honestly sorry your staff has to deal with your poor energy and lack of leadership. Keep it up and I’m sure you’ll be praying for business. We even had another person from a different table approach us after the owners temper tantrum to tell us “I’ve heard he’s an asshole”. Nailed it.
Daniel M: Beautiful outdoor spot for a large slice that takes up most of your plate. The pizza was delicious and just the right amount for me. The beer was the correct temperature. Nothing too special, but done well without unnecessary flare.... Which, I guess, IS something special. Stop by to eat and chat or read a good book. I highly recommend.

Asia E.: My son and I visited this restaurant yesterday and I was blown away by their customer service, quality of food, value for the money, attentiveness and sincere attention to detail. Selby is an absolute gem 💎. I mean it, she was bright, cheery and helpful. Her beautiful spirit just envelops you as soon as you walk in the door 🚪. She knows the menu inside and out and made great suggestions that took the meal over the top for me. My son and I got a cheese pizza slice with sundried tomatoes, spinach, onions 🌰, jalapeños and cream cheese 🧀 and a pepperoni slice. I also got a side salad 🥗. It was heavenly. The food was so good I began to devour it before I could even get a picture. Sorry about that y'all. The crust is thin so you really get to enjoy the toppings. The slices are HUGE. They cut it for you so you can easily pick it up and enjoy. I highly recommend this spot not only for the bomb a#$ pizza (easily one of the best in town) but for the superb customer service and experience they provide. When you pay them a visit tell Selby I said "hey girl hey" and make sure to tip her - she deserves it. Run don't walk for some of the best pizza ever. Nick Davis: I love Pizza 51. However, one evening recently we received our delivery and the cheese had completely slid off our pizza and was also slightly undercooked. Our Toasted Ravioli were nearly raw, chewy and cool to the touch. Very disappointing as we reached out to management and have heard nothing back. It will take us a while to come back, especially given we received no contact. Would be a 5 star joint for us otherwise.

Tim: Chef Baldee (Chuck) is a ridiculous and hilarious man. He always makes my day brighter when I call and pick up a pizza. I tell everyone I know about the saga of Chef Baldee and his quest for world pizza domination. There is no chance there is better pizza in KC. The dough and sauce is homemade that's how you know he's OG. You gotta call chef and try it.
