Pilates of Kansas City: what do users think?
Marguerite Lucas: Hands down the best Pilates studio in Kansas City! The instructors are all so knowledgeable, especially if you are post partum. No class is ever the same. Cannot recommend enough!
Katie Kenton: After a 18 month hiatus I decided to get back into Pilates and do something for myself. I have a hard time taking time for myself between work and a kiddo. Going to classes and my one on ones with Shannon is something I look forward to each week. I love the studio and all the instructors are incredible!I always leave feeling more confident then I walked in. Thank you all 💗
R.T.: I am so in love with Pilates of KC. I am so glad I joined. It’s changed my life. Everyone is so great!
Amy Brown: Pilates of KC has an upscale, boutique vibe while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable place to get an amazing workout (and meet cool people ☺️). The instructors are all very knowledgeable and caring and there is a good variety of classes that meet the needs of varying levels. I definitely recommend PKC for a unique and effective workout!
Katherine Norman: Cannot express how much I love this place! I am new and have felt welcomed and supported and never judged. I would 10/10 recommend to all my pals!
Dione Hodges: I started three months ago, I did not know what to expect, It was my 3 rd class when I decided to become a member. I was in love with Pilates. All the instructors are great the studio is top notch!
Swathi J: @dpt.and.pilates @pilatesofkansascityCan't thank these girls enough, for keeping me fit and strong all through my pregnancy (and otherwise as well). One of the best decisions I made thus far. Courtney is a rockstar, such a pleasure working with her. Always compassionate and cheerful and helping me with stretches and exercises that I can incorporate in my daily workouts to combat any pain I might have. I recommend this place to anyone looking to try Pilates, it's totally worth it!
Cedar Street Toffee: Beyond amazed with Pilates of Kansas City. The studio is clean and spacious. The instructors are top notch! Thank you for being here!!!
Hilary Santana: I had a great private session with the owner. It felt super safe, clean, cared for and challenged. I highly recommend everyone to try it!
Sarah Wininger: Very fun and engaging classes! Great for all levels. Beautiful studio environment and welcoming staff.
Gabby Hardesty: I can't say enough about this place! I really, really love it. The teachers are great - Attentive, supportive, and super friendly. The classes are small and intimate so it almost feels like a private lesson. The classes incorporate breathing, stretching, strength, & lots of core! I've seen changes in my body after just a month and a half! I used to dread any type of workout, Now I literally crave Pilates! It leaves me feeling SO GOOD - Mentally and physically! I've looked into a lot of Pilates places - They're all expensive. But this place offers an unlimited monthly price (Where as most places don't) and if you go often, it's really a great price for what you get. I don't exactly live close but it is worth the drive!!! I'm so happy I found this place, it makes working out FUN! Do yourself a favor and try it out, It's challenging but so rewarding, Your body will thank you! xo, Gabby
sharon sigman: I have been going to pilates of kansas city for 4 and half years. Originally i signed up to get stronger for my new English cream golden retriever sister pups. The teachers are wonderful and care about their clients. The iwnet has many innovative sessions unique for individual bodies.
teresa bryan: I walked in three years ago after having gone to a place in Lee's summit. I was in so much pain i could barely walk most of the time. Elizabeth took me in under her wing, very attentive to just what my poor and literally broken up body needed. I'm so serious when i say that pilates is more than just stretching, strengthening and exercise, but it is also life saving, miracle therapy for the body! All of these instructors take their skill set very seriously. They are always friendly and courteous and the owner, Elizabeth is one of the most wonderful people in the world. She saved me.. no seriously.. when the best chiros or medicine or doctor cant help.... SHE DOES!!!
Scott Slabotsky: Far and away there is no better well equipped studio with the most professional and friendly staff in the Midwest. The staff is fabulous and extremely sensitive to any physical issues that you might have. I have gone to studios around the United States and this is one that would truly make Joseph PROUD!! I am glad to be a Client, and plan to be one for a long time.
Lynne Clarke: True Pilates gem in Kansas City. PKC is a wonderful classical Pilates boutique studio that offers a variety of Pilates (Mat and equipment) and core fitness classes (such as TRX, spin, barre). All of the instructors are knowledgeable (with extensive training), supportive, and show modifications for varying levels of fitness or for past injury. In addition to being an amazing Pilates instructor, the owner is innovative, forward thinking, and strives to keep members interested and engaged. If you’re looking for a studio that offers a variety of quality classes in a supportive and positive community environment, this is it!
Tess Fuller: Any one who knows me will tell you that I am OBSESSED with this pilates studio. I had taken some pilates (both mat and reformer) classes before, but nothing like at PKC. The studio is warm and inviting (definitely warmer after the hundred), and the instructors are top-notch. They are incredibly friendly and supportive both in and out of class. They try to get to know you beyond instructing you in class. I am stronger and leaner than I have been in years. The cardio side with cycling, TRX, etc. really compliments the strength building you get from the pilates classes-making it a wonderful one-stop shop for your fitness needs. I am so lucky to have found PKC and the wonderful community it has built.
Hannah O'Callaghan: I moved to KC 3 years ago not knowing many people. I started at PKC immediately after moving, knowing nothing about pilates. I have become physically stronger than I have ever been before. PKC takes into consideration everyone’s strengths and weaknesses during group classes, and each instructor tailors their 55 minute class to those in the class. Not only is this true for group classes, but private sessions are uniquely designed for you and your body. The instructors are absolutely one of a kind - they remember anything from injuries you may have to trips/vacations you’ve recently taken! Three years ago I moved to KC, and for 3 years I have created lifelong friendships with the women who work here, and have transformed my body to lengths I could only dream! Thank you so much, PKC!

Thrive Pilates & Movement Studio: what do users think?
Barbara Marmor: Lauren is a skilled Pilates teacher! She is knowledgeable and perceptive, which means she adjusts as necessary. I have physical weaknesses that Lauren works around. And together, over the last five years, we have strengthened my body. I recommend Lauren without reservation…she is great!
Sofia Hudson: Pilates, with Lauren, has been a life changing experience! She has helped me to retrain my muscles to work efficiently and alleviate back issues. Pilates is a sneaky fun workout that you FEEL the next day.
D: Lauren has created the staple Pilates studio that was sorely missing from the downtown KC / Crossroads Area. It’s great to pop-in for a 30-minute class if you’re out of shape and trying to stay in some sort of regular physical activity. Lauren makes sure you have correct form; seriously - you won’t learn many moves until you get those abs sucked in, and that’s a totally good thing if you want to avoid being injured.I came to Thrive after a CrossFit place down the street got me injured the very first day (I’ve done sports my whole life and never had any serious injury). Even with the lingering issue, I was able to get back to getting in shape and never had concern about going too hard or having the right form.
Matt Sterling: Pilates with Lauren is different than your usual Pilates class. She is fantastic at viewing your posture, identifying weak areas, and then working with you to strengthen them. If you are looking to work with someone that knows how to help you gain strength and mobility in order to lead a more active life with less discomfort, this is the work out you want. You can literally feel the difference by the end of one class!

Studio 7 Pilates + Barre: what do users think?
Arielle Wilson: I have been looking for a Pilates studio for awhile and it was a pleasant surprise to have this wonderful studio right down the street. It has been a great experience to get back into a consistent pilates practice after a brief hiatus. All of the instructors are so welcoming and friendly each bringing their own style and challenging practices to each class. I love the intimate classes so that I can truly get feedback and coaching when I need it. It's also wonderful to feel such a wonderful and calming vibe as soon as you walk-in! Excellent studio!
Pete LanFranca: I really enjoy Studio 7 for a few main reasons:The class size is restricted to a max of 7 people at one-time which enables the instructor to provide attention and support when needed. Each of the instructors are fantastic, and bring their own style to Pilates. Over time, you get to know each of the different techniques so you can then choose which works best for you. There is also a sense of community which you work out at Studio 7. While Pilates can be difficult at times, you are bound to enjoy a laugh or two either from the instructor or through the conversation from those in class.
Nan Vail: I have Ataxia, a neuro-degenerative disease. I have been having private sessions with Jocelyn for over a year now and love it! She prepares in advance for our sessions and I know the sessions have helped me.
Haley Smith: I have chronic nerve damage and was scared to try pilates; however, my private lessons with Jocelyn were AMAZING. Her ability to pinpoint exactly what I need and options to modify within my limits was a testament to her incredible knowledge. I have new confidence in my body's abilities and left each class feeling better than when I started.
Marie Dispenza: Studio 7 Pilates + Barre has been my home for Pilates since 2018 (five years!). I immediately felt welcomed by both instructors and clients. You truly can become a part of the Studio 7 community regardless of where you are on your fitness/wellness journey.
Alexandra Wolken: Studio 7 is the one. I have been coming to the space since 2018. I moved across town and still commute because I love my time here that much
Beth Haines: I have been a member of Studio 7 Pilates + Barre since its inception. In fact, I followed the owner, Jocelyn, from two prior studios. I appreciate the values that this studio upholds. The quality of instructors is second to none. I value the individualized attention provided even during group classes. I feel safe here.
Caroline Gill: Studio7 is a comfortable, welcoming place. I’ve attended classes here for years and had a few different instructors along the way. Every single instructor has been fabulous. I was never one to participate in group fitness classes before. The classes are small and intimate. It’s a positive environment and I recommend it to everyone!
Raych Alonzo: I've lived many places and have visited some great studios BUT this studio by far is the best! I even got to do live on-demand workouts during Covid though I was hundreds of miles away. I still subscribe monthly through Vimeo to a pre-set recorded list of over 30 different on-demand workouts. They are my go to 3 times a week. These amazing instructors help keep me fit on the outside as well as the inside. Pilates unites soul-minded "sisters" and they're present at this studio. Can't wait til I can do an in-person again soon.
Audrey Mathis: Studio 7 is not only a great pilates studio with experienced instructors and smaller classes, but a place of real community. I love how welcoming everyone was when I first started and the friendships I have created over the last couple of years. I love the modifications that the instructors are able to provide to everyone that is in need, either for injury or ability level. It is a place where everyone can be successful and confident!!
E Fulton: Love this place and Jocelyn is amazing!!
Bridget Summer: Once you try Pilates on the reformer you will be addicted. The classes are different and challenging, so you will not be bored. The instructors are trained/educated, patient and engaging! Balance Body equipment is the best. I get an ab workout in more than one ways…laughter at Studio 7 Pilates + Barre!
Janet Williams: I have been going consistently Studio 7 for two months. I immediately, felt welcomed and supported through every class. The small class size and excellent instructors are grand. The camaraderie of the other people in the class is a bonus.
Jill Hathaway: I've done privates with Studio7 for over a year; the detail to form and posture correction is wonderful. My body feels more aligned and the movements have helped my overall form. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, experienced and patient. I feel safe in doing the movements and love the results.
Isaac Lee Collins: Such a great experience at Studio 7! Jocelyn was so accommodating and nice.
J&C Auto Glass: Great place, great instructors, highly recommend.
Elizabeth Cooper McFadden: I have been a client of this studio since 2012. I love it! The instructors are fantastic and know their stuff. There are class times from 6A to 6P most days. I always feel like I can find a time to workout every day. The classes range from equipment pilates (on the reformer) to barre, TRX and mat pilates. Each class is different so I never get bored and my body never gets used to it. I'm sore somewhere after each class! Excellent blend of cardio and strength.
Karen Graybill: Love this place. Great instructors, variety of classes and times!
Jennifer LaRocca: This studio will motivate you to get out of bed in the morning! Very knowledgeable, friendly instructors and challenging classes. It's never boring at Studio 7!
