Pilates of Kansas City: what do users think?
Marguerite Lucas: Hands down the best Pilates studio in Kansas City! The instructors are all so knowledgeable, especially if you are post partum. No class is ever the same. Cannot recommend enough!
Katie Kenton: After a 18 month hiatus I decided to get back into Pilates and do something for myself. I have a hard time taking time for myself between work and a kiddo. Going to classes and my one on ones with Shannon is something I look forward to each week. I love the studio and all the instructors are incredible!I always leave feeling more confident then I walked in. Thank you all 💗
R.T.: I am so in love with Pilates of KC. I am so glad I joined. It’s changed my life. Everyone is so great!
Amy Brown: Pilates of KC has an upscale, boutique vibe while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable place to get an amazing workout (and meet cool people ☺️). The instructors are all very knowledgeable and caring and there is a good variety of classes that meet the needs of varying levels. I definitely recommend PKC for a unique and effective workout!
Katherine Norman: Cannot express how much I love this place! I am new and have felt welcomed and supported and never judged. I would 10/10 recommend to all my pals!
Dione Hodges: I started three months ago, I did not know what to expect, It was my 3 rd class when I decided to become a member. I was in love with Pilates. All the instructors are great the studio is top notch!
Swathi J: @dpt.and.pilates @pilatesofkansascityCan't thank these girls enough, for keeping me fit and strong all through my pregnancy (and otherwise as well). One of the best decisions I made thus far. Courtney is a rockstar, such a pleasure working with her. Always compassionate and cheerful and helping me with stretches and exercises that I can incorporate in my daily workouts to combat any pain I might have. I recommend this place to anyone looking to try Pilates, it's totally worth it!
Cedar Street Toffee: Beyond amazed with Pilates of Kansas City. The studio is clean and spacious. The instructors are top notch! Thank you for being here!!!
Hilary Santana: I had a great private session with the owner. It felt super safe, clean, cared for and challenged. I highly recommend everyone to try it!
Sarah Wininger: Very fun and engaging classes! Great for all levels. Beautiful studio environment and welcoming staff.
Gabby Hardesty: I can't say enough about this place! I really, really love it. The teachers are great - Attentive, supportive, and super friendly. The classes are small and intimate so it almost feels like a private lesson. The classes incorporate breathing, stretching, strength, & lots of core! I've seen changes in my body after just a month and a half! I used to dread any type of workout, Now I literally crave Pilates! It leaves me feeling SO GOOD - Mentally and physically! I've looked into a lot of Pilates places - They're all expensive. But this place offers an unlimited monthly price (Where as most places don't) and if you go often, it's really a great price for what you get. I don't exactly live close but it is worth the drive!!! I'm so happy I found this place, it makes working out FUN! Do yourself a favor and try it out, It's challenging but so rewarding, Your body will thank you! xo, Gabby
sharon sigman: I have been going to pilates of kansas city for 4 and half years. Originally i signed up to get stronger for my new English cream golden retriever sister pups. The teachers are wonderful and care about their clients. The iwnet has many innovative sessions unique for individual bodies.
teresa bryan: I walked in three years ago after having gone to a place in Lee's summit. I was in so much pain i could barely walk most of the time. Elizabeth took me in under her wing, very attentive to just what my poor and literally broken up body needed. I'm so serious when i say that pilates is more than just stretching, strengthening and exercise, but it is also life saving, miracle therapy for the body! All of these instructors take their skill set very seriously. They are always friendly and courteous and the owner, Elizabeth is one of the most wonderful people in the world. She saved me.. no seriously.. when the best chiros or medicine or doctor cant help.... SHE DOES!!!
Scott Slabotsky: Far and away there is no better well equipped studio with the most professional and friendly staff in the Midwest. The staff is fabulous and extremely sensitive to any physical issues that you might have. I have gone to studios around the United States and this is one that would truly make Joseph PROUD!! I am glad to be a Client, and plan to be one for a long time.
Lynne Clarke: True Pilates gem in Kansas City. PKC is a wonderful classical Pilates boutique studio that offers a variety of Pilates (Mat and equipment) and core fitness classes (such as TRX, spin, barre). All of the instructors are knowledgeable (with extensive training), supportive, and show modifications for varying levels of fitness or for past injury. In addition to being an amazing Pilates instructor, the owner is innovative, forward thinking, and strives to keep members interested and engaged. If you’re looking for a studio that offers a variety of quality classes in a supportive and positive community environment, this is it!
Tess Fuller: Any one who knows me will tell you that I am OBSESSED with this pilates studio. I had taken some pilates (both mat and reformer) classes before, but nothing like at PKC. The studio is warm and inviting (definitely warmer after the hundred), and the instructors are top-notch. They are incredibly friendly and supportive both in and out of class. They try to get to know you beyond instructing you in class. I am stronger and leaner than I have been in years. The cardio side with cycling, TRX, etc. really compliments the strength building you get from the pilates classes-making it a wonderful one-stop shop for your fitness needs. I am so lucky to have found PKC and the wonderful community it has built.
Hannah O'Callaghan: I moved to KC 3 years ago not knowing many people. I started at PKC immediately after moving, knowing nothing about pilates. I have become physically stronger than I have ever been before. PKC takes into consideration everyone’s strengths and weaknesses during group classes, and each instructor tailors their 55 minute class to those in the class. Not only is this true for group classes, but private sessions are uniquely designed for you and your body. The instructors are absolutely one of a kind - they remember anything from injuries you may have to trips/vacations you’ve recently taken! Three years ago I moved to KC, and for 3 years I have created lifelong friendships with the women who work here, and have transformed my body to lengths I could only dream! Thank you so much, PKC!

The amount of knowledge and training these ladies have is so rewarding. I get so much out of all the classes I take. Thrive Pilates & Movement Studio: what do users think?
Barbara Marmor: Lauren is a skilled Pilates teacher! She is knowledgeable and perceptive, which means she adjusts as necessary. I have physical weaknesses that Lauren works around. And together, over the last five years, we have strengthened my body. I recommend Lauren without reservation…she is great!
Sofia Hudson: Pilates, with Lauren, has been a life changing experience! She has helped me to retrain my muscles to work efficiently and alleviate back issues. Pilates is a sneaky fun workout that you FEEL the next day.
D: Lauren has created the staple Pilates studio that was sorely missing from the downtown KC / Crossroads Area. It’s great to pop-in for a 30-minute class if you’re out of shape and trying to stay in some sort of regular physical activity. Lauren makes sure you have correct form; seriously - you won’t learn many moves until you get those abs sucked in, and that’s a totally good thing if you want to avoid being injured.I came to Thrive after a CrossFit place down the street got me injured the very first day (I’ve done sports my whole life and never had any serious injury). Even with the lingering issue, I was able to get back to getting in shape and never had concern about going too hard or having the right form.
Matt Sterling: Pilates with Lauren is different than your usual Pilates class. She is fantastic at viewing your posture, identifying weak areas, and then working with you to strengthen them. If you are looking to work with someone that knows how to help you gain strength and mobility in order to lead a more active life with less discomfort, this is the work out you want. You can literally feel the difference by the end of one class!

Pilates Co-Op KC: what do users think?
Rana Lacer: Have been taking classes here for just over a year. Love the reformer. Great instructors-Wendy, Jo and Katie. I primarily take classes with Katie and she has several wonderful class options and personally works with you to target the goals you’re striving for. She just started a Jumpboard class, which adds a lot of cardio to the Pilates core exercises. I’m hoping some more people find this class and try it so she keeps it on the schedule!!! Highly recommend :-)
April Preston: Wendy is a great teacher, easy to listen to and encouraging, will take you at whatever stage you are in your fitness journey and accelerate that! She teaches breathing (which has helped me a lot) and how to find your strength and use your body correctly to benefit health and wellness, all within a safe, fun and happy atmosphere!
Lisa Stephens: I have been practicing Pilates with the team at Pilates Co-Op KC for four years and every class is rewarding and I always learn something. The instructors are wonderful. They truly care that you get a great workout while caring for your health and well-being. I have gotten stronger and feel so much healthier. Better joints, balance, longer leaner body with more energy. The people in the classes are great too! Wonderful energy and sense of humor. Always fun! I leave feeling energized and happy!
Brian & Erin Kilkenny: The most inviting atmosphere that is focus just as much on your inner health as outer health. Wendy has a heart of gold and is the most positive and encouraging instructor.
Kathy Orson: As a regular client for the past five years, I look forward to each class. This is a friendly and welcoming environment, and instruction on the Pilates Reformer is designed for my age and ability level. As a senior, flexibility, agility, core stabilization and strength routines are always appreciated. Thanks to Wendy’s knowledge and experience, I leave class relaxed yet energized.
S Storie: Best experience ever! These ladies are knowledgeable, patient and supportive. If you are struggling they will modify to fit your abilities. Give them a try, you can thank me later!
K Dyer: Wendy and Jo are amazing instructors. Pilates is the ONLY thing that eliminates my chronic back pain. Thankful to have found them.
Diane Little: Wendy and Jo are smart, experienced trainers who share their extensive experience in workouts that are bound to move you beyond your preconceived limits. The classes are fun and challenging. My body and spirit gave missed pilatrs during covid. Looking forward to return to sweat.

Mary Alonzo: Great studio with terrific instructors - both Wendy and Jo are first rate!!!

Yoga Patch: what do users think?
Sarah Mackay: This space with the teachers and students is so welcoming for everyone. I started taking classes with a friend a few years ago, having been being very unflexible for my entire life and always saying that I "Don't do yoga". The teachers that I started with specialized in slow flows and meditatiive classes and helped me to feel secure in where my body should be in each pose and how to make it work for my level of flexibility. I was hooked and have been a student here for the past 4 years. I love the community in this space - you can feel it when you walk in. There are plants everywhere, multiple studios as well as a cafe and shop for fun items, pet birds that sing to you as you are in the space, and people that are real and wonderful. Maria, the owner, has created something magical here - a safe and welcoming space to be, to move, to stretch, and to breathe.
poonam bhyan: I have been practicing yoga for 10 years now and I’m beyond disappointed in this studio. Their facility and space is very spacious and natural feel with plants etc. However, their yoga classes are very basic level and hardly any teacher does or teaches advanced level poses. More importantly, I felt so much negative energy and tension in this place especially with couple of teachers who I felt were outright rude, very unwelcoming & even racists.I have lived in DC, New York, North Carolina and have especially noticed that among trainers, yoga teachers are specially the most mentally peaceful people, they are kind and they are role models by their attitude and their behavior. This is the first place I felt that their teachers have may be learnt sequences of asanas but not the real meaning/essence of yoga. They definitely have work to do on themselves before they teach others. Adios!
Carolina Santiago: What an amazing place to practice! They have a variety of classes with really good instructors. No matter what class I have taken I’ve had a great experience and left feeling recharged.
Jen S.: Yoga Patch is an exceptional studio. It is a warm and welcoming space, and the instructors are all wonderful. There is a meaningful emphasis on mindfulness and meditation—I always feel noticeably lighter after class. I am so glad that I found my way to Yoga Patch!
Chanelle Johnson: First time going to yoga patch and had a great time in hip hop yoga taught by Veronica. I can't wait to come back!
Bryan Miller: Very clean, polite, professional, safe, and AMAZINGLY relaxing. This is like a hard reset for your body. Pain, stress, anxiety, and PTSD are greatly reduced!
A L: I just started practicing yoga and I feel so welcomed and comfortable in this space despite being a newcomer to the practice. Every instructor I've had here has been wonderful and offered lots of modifications to suit the needs of everyone in the classroom, and they've been approachable for any questions and offered supportive advice. I am so happy I found Yoga Patch to continue to grow my daily yoga practice with. I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous space!
Will Hall: One of the best yoga classes I have ever taken - thanks to the consent cards teacher Kate wisely offered to opt-in to instructive touch. I hope this becomes widespread in the yoga industry and am grateful to Kate and Yoga Patch for helping lead the way.
Abby Condon: Such a beautiful studio with diverse classes, gorgeous and warm atmosphere, and the kindest owner. She even hand delivered a yoga block to me over COVID, when I had just had a baby!
Auburn Ellis: Such a dynamic space with so many offerings! Yoga classes in Spanish, hot yoga, silks-I truly enjoy every bit. The space is also peaceful & beautiful with great instructors to match the vibe.
Shelby: There’s so many amazing things I could say about Yoga Patch. No matter where you’re at in your practice, the teachers and students are warm, welcoming and accepting. I always leave here feeling so full and whole. I’ve found wonderful teachers here at Yoga Patch and I’ve begun to heal in ways I no longer thought were possible for me. It’s a safe and validating environment to show up just as you are. There’s a variety of classes offered throughout the day to meet your scheduling needs, too. I highly recommend this studio. I can’t thank you enough, Yoga Patch!
michelle gordon: Any class guided by Anna Koehler is the perfect gift to give yourself or anyone you care about and humanity at large! I participated in my first evening class with her last night and slept better than I have in months and literally woke up laughing several times! The sincerity in her guidance is awe-striking and will change your life.Anna has the gift of transforming the confines of a physical space into a universe of endless possibilities. Her practice encompasses all of our senses that frequently get overlooked in western yoga practice. The powerful healing properties in her voice alone are worth investing your time. She guides verbally, visually, energetically and physically-best adjustments ever! Her generous spirit will take your yoga practice to a deeper level and you will experience a shavasana of a lifetime.
Brock Exline: I have been following Yoga Patch since being on Wornall. U can’t find a more caring group of like minded people in the area. I can’t say enough about how they have trudged thru the pandemic and still created a since of calm and belonging. I feel lucky to attend a safe/ social distanced/ masked class when ever I can ( and on line when I can’t). Thank you Maria!
Cami Reign: So far so good, I have only attended one class so far but it definitely made me want to go back. I love all the plants and the whole calmness about the building and the yoga session was amazing. I plan on trying every class they have, it's an amazing way to get out of the house right now and they are very mindful of social distancing. So 3 weeks in and still loving it. Will definitely keep going.
Molly Flynn: Best yoga class in KC on Wednesday night at yogapatch with Anna K. The room is gorgeous.... candles, a fireplace and it smells amazing. The music is fun and hits exactly on point with the movement. The combination of escaping into this gorgeous studio with an awesome instructor for relaxation while simultaneously getting an awesome workout is top notch
Laura Klover: I go weekly just to attend Anna Koehler’s classes. Her hot flow and iron yoga are KILLER! She’s hands on and energetic which keeps classes exciting!
Derek Garcia: Yoga patch has an amazing Shangri-la feel to it. You step in and feel the positive energy. As far as class selection goes, we are pretty much spoiled for choice. Whatever your preference, it is likely they have a quality class, usually more than one, for you to enjoy. With 3 rooms they are able to accomodate a lot of classes and people. All of the teachers I have been to (about 8) have been extremely knowledgeable and led wonderful flows. They have classes throughout the day to fit everyone's schedules. They also have kid's yoga classes! The hidden gem of Waldo!
Kate Feder: I've been practicing yoga for about 15 years, and when I moved back to Kansas City after college, I found Yoga Patch online when looking for a place to practice regularly. The first class I took was Rachel's Hot Flow, and I was immediately hooked. So much so that after about 6 months, I joined their new Teacher Training program. It's been about 4 years since I first walked through the door, and not only do I still hit up Rachel's class when I can, I now teach 3 classes a week and attend others regularly. I've seen this studio become a community for so many who needed one, a home for small businesses and non-profits, and a life-changing outlet for people with all types of limitations and insecurities, physically and mentally, that made them think yoga wasn't for them. YP's classes are truly for everyone - there's more than 60 classes a week, almost half of which are offered for $5-$8, and dozens of workshops and trainings each year. All of this is a testament to the owner - Maria Murphy - and her passion for empowering others and her selfless love of this community. I know I'm biased, but only because once you get to know YP, most people find they have no choice but to get involved.
Sage Harper: Gwendolyn White (Buti Yoga)is extremely disrespectful & very standoffish. I’m beyond disappointed that we need to find a different yoga studio considering me & 5 of my friends were about to purchase a year upfront memberships. She’s put a sour taste in our mouths. You’d normally expect to be greeted by a yoga teacher kindly & respectfully. Typically they tend to have a sense of zen about them but the negative energy was very unwelcoming & discouraging.I understand that one teacher shouldn’t dictate the overall vibe of a studio but we’ve never been so incredibly disrespected in a yoga studio for asking a few questions.
Derek Black: I went to Brandon Vogt's Yoga Basics class. It was the best Yoga class that I've ever gone to. He's also a musician and plays his guitar at the end.
Daniel Edwards: Coffee

Better Bodies Pilates Overland Park: what do users think?
darlene kopp: Just the best.
Leslie Donahue: I love everything about Personal Best Pilates Studio! First and foremost, the instructors are extremely well trained, knowledgeable and really care about their clients. In addition, the small class sizes allow the instructors to pay close attention to each client's form, which is essential in Pilates. And the studio has recently been remodeled with all new equipment!
Jessica Conoley: Every instructor is highly educated & great at communicating how to get the most out of every exercise. Have been going here for years & love it.
Brad Hofmeister: I absolutely love this place and my Pilates instructor Stephanie is incredible! My doctor recommended I give Pilates a try in hopes that by strengthening my core it would help with my pain management. My doctor was correct!
Lynn Klein: I love my Pilates classes here. I think the best way to say how much is the number of years that I have been taking classes. 6 YEARS and still enjoying every minute. I have had some physical problems and Stephanie helped me with easing pain and strengthening different areas. Try it, you will enjoy every minute. AN ADDED BONUS - YOU WILL FEEL BETTER.
Michella Stiles: An outstanding staff with a diverse background. They are very knowledgeable and friendly.
Katie Green: Great instructors that are very knowledgeable. I have been going for a few years and love it. Barre intensity with Lindsey is fantastic and you work hard. Mat classes are great too. Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable and always shows you modifications if you need them. The instructors will work with you to give you the best workout. Love that there is a variety of classes to choose from.
Randal Linville: Great facilities, and simply the best trainers. Pilates is an excellent fitness and wellness regimen. Our whole family has participated for years ages ranging from teens to 60’s. Personal Best is first class in all ways, we count it our very best value for health and wellness dollars spent.
Terry Fahler: I love the knowledgeable instructors and friendly atmosphere. This is a great addition to my wellness routine.
Jake Schloegel: I have been a client of Personal Best for 10 years and have worked with Stephanie for many of those years. Stephanie is an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable of Pilates and knows how to get the most out of our sessions. My consumption of pain relief meds during golf has all but disappeared too.
judith hall: I began visiting Personal Best Pilates in April, 2007 in an attempt to keep my body flexible and healthy so I could enjoy playing with young grandsons. They are now 18, 15, 12, and 10 and keeping up with them has a whole different meaning now....but I still have to get up and down off the floor to play cards, etc. I also help with the little people at church so have lots of floor time and lifting. I don't think I would be able to do these things without the help of Pilates. I love the atmosphere, small group size and the instructors. I'll think one is my favorite and then I meet another and think she is my favorite. The ladies in my classes have become almost family after 12 years....some come and go, but when I see them out and about it's like meeting a cousin again. You can't go wrong if you choose Personal Best Pilates....they are the Best!
Jenny Dorland: I've been attending noon mat classes for a couple years now and enjoy the variety offered at this studio. The instructors are very knowledgeable and get to know all of the attendees so that they can offer guidance and modifications as necessary. I especially love the Barre Intensity classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Lindsay. Talk about a butt-kicking. Great way to relieve some stress during the day.
Betsy Provo: I love everything about Personal Best Pilates. The facility has the best equipment, knowledgeable instructors and is a place I feel welcome and at home. I work with Stephanie Doering who is very creative with the workouts she plans each week, has great experience as a dancer and is very sensitive to our physical issues and restrictions. Plus she makes each workout fun along with challenging. Love her. 👍🏻Becky is a terrific owner/instructor as well. Great place!
Rosemary Wayne: I am super pleased with my instructor, and truly like going there once a week for an hour of personal attention and pilates that has greatly helped my health issues. The studio is clean and convenient and provides the corestrengthening that I was looking for. I certainly would recommend it!!!
Steven Perry: i've been a Personal Best client for 15 years. Not only has it helped keep me fit for golf, but has been instrumental in improving and maintaining my overall physical condition and well being. I'm 63 and plan on keeping up with my Pilates practice for the rest of my life.
Sadie Hicks: All of the staff is very friendly and super helpful. It's such a great workout. I love the attention the instructor gives each of the class participants to ensure everyone is improving their form and pushing themselves to get the best results.
Cheryl Campbell: I have been a Personal Best Pilates client for about 10 years. The instructors are qualified and enthusiastic and always help support my goals. I started with private lessons, but now am in two equipment classes weekly with great instructors, Stephanie and Mindy. I finally encouraged my husband to start Pilates this year and he is hooked too! They studio is quite nice with new decor and equipment recently.
Jennifer Everett: Love the instructors and the clients that attend the Matt classes. The instructors truly have an interest in a workout to help you obtain your goals and to have fun doing it!
melody davidson: I have enjoyed Pilates twice a week for more that 10 years at the Personal Best Studio. In that time I have improved my body strength and muscle tone working with excellent instructors on great equipment in a clean professional atmosphere. Instructors and other clients have become friends I love seeing on a regular basis. I look forward to every class and highly recommend others try out this studio.
mary shay: Love this studio! All the instructors are knowledgeable and professional. Each class is different so I never get bored and my body never gets used to it. I'm sore somewhere after each class!
Beverly Nobrega: Great studio with knowledgeable instructors, variety of classes and a beautiful studio!

barre3: what do users think?
Kelly Stokes: The studio is bright, clean, and welcoming. The instructor offered easy to follow cues, and I was definitely sore the next day!
Ashlyn Reed: Barre3 has been a true blessing to me as I’ve been getting back into the rhythm of working out after having my first baby! Not only am I challenged physically each class, but I leave refreshed, motivated, and encouraged!
Margaux Guignon: The best workout and community. I love barre3!
Billy Daniels: Such a great time!
Janis Fakoury: I’ve done over 500 classes at Barre 3 KC. It is such a great combination of all the best workouts. Focusing on strength (mind & body), flexibility, balance, cardio, recovery and mindfulness. All with the support & encouragement of amazing instructors. And it’s a woman owned business. Try it - you’ll love it!
Katie Hansen: Barre3 is my favorite workout! The community is so encouraging. I really feel like the instructors are excited that you’re in class and are super knowledgeable about modifications. I love that I can push my body in a healthy way that feels good.
Breanna Ransburg: Went to a foundations class and Anne was great! Signed up for 3 more classes. Can't wait to go back.
Karen Miller: From the moment I stepped into the studio I felt welcomed and encouraged! It had been a long time since I tried any group classes and honestly, any exercises at all. I am excited to continue my new health journey with the staff and students of Barre3!
Heather P.: In my 30+ years of trying to stay fit and healthy, I've never found any workout that was both rewarding and exciting enough to keep doing...until I found Barre3 and Natalia's KC studio! I love that I can show up and just zone out to the music (which is neither annoying nor distracting) and focus on the instructor's guidance, the moves, the flow, the breath, and ME. I love how the positions can be modified for any body or level, too. When I started in Jan 2020, I had to push myself to get there, rain, snow, or shine...but it was always worth the energized and accomplished feeling afterwards! Then a few months into it, everything locked down. I thought I'd have to find something else, but I was so impressed with how Natalia and team pivoted to offering the Livestream classes, which were and still are equally as satisfying and top-notch quality as the in-studio classes. Whether I'm in my home or in the studio, I know I'm going to enjoy the workout because it's with highly experienced and health-focused instructors and fellow attendees. Thank you and keep doing what you do!!
Mallory Leach: There are simply not enough words to share how much I am loving Barre3. Before taking my first class I wondered how this type of workout would challenge me. I was used to lifting heavy weights and didn’t think the lower weight would challenge me. Boy was I wrong! Barre not only challenges me physically (hello light weights and high reps!) but also mentally. I love how I feel after each class!
Dana Vietti: This was my first from home class, and it felt just like being there! Thanks for the great workout! Loved it!
Robin Fortin-Cline: I joined B3 six weeks ago and am really enjoying it! I like every instructor and the variations that they each bring to their teaching. The one thing I would change is the use of ceiling fans during class. I like my muscles to stay warm while I’m working out. Overall I recommend B3.
Emily Rosenbaum: I am so glad that I went in for my first free class a few weeks ago. barre3 has been a wonderful space for me to get back into a consistent workout routine. I feel comfortable in all the classes that I have attended and everyone is so very nice. I am looking forward to this being a studio where continue going regularly for the atmosphere, teachers and feeling stronger in my body.
Rossana Vega: Barre3 provides a great workout and it's a great community! The instructors and the staff are friendly and the classes are the best! I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for an effective workout.
Frances Hollembaek: I joined Barre3 5 years ago after the birth of my daughter. Within months, my waist/pre-baby body returned… I continued through my second pregnancy and afterwards as well. Now, I cannot imagine a week without my Barre3!If you are looking for a fun, effective full-body workout that emphasizes alignment and form, look no further. They offer low impact, challenging classes that tone and strengthen to transform your body. Classes are mixed level allowing all fitness levels to benefit— it’s been an absolute game changer for me. I highly recommend to all my patients:)
Devon Lang Pryor: I've been a member for years but today I was reminded that one of the many reasons I love Barre3 Kansas City is the ability to livestream a workout when home with a sick kiddo! Every class is different and every instructor brings their unique energy and expertise to deliver a workout that always leaves me feeling stronger and less tense!
Angela Malloy Potts: I’ve been going to this studio since it opened- and it’s the best most consistent exercise I’ve ever done. It’s for all Types of women, lifestyles, body types and needs. The instructors are lovely humans who promote taking modifications throughout classes basedOn what works for you. These classes have helped be be stronger,Healthier and more balanced in mind and body. The community of women is amazing and I’m a member for life!
Liz Seely: All the clients are so friendly and the teachers have really positive vibes. I’m always sore after!
MacKenzie Koepke: I started attending classes at Barre3 a couple months ago and I’ve finally found the right workout for me! I’ve had class with multiple instructors and I’ve enjoyed each one. I appreciate the ability to take a virtual class although I highly recommend in person classes. The equipment and facilities are great!
Alita Thornburg: I have absolutely loved the classes that I have taken at Barre3! The space is beautiful, clean, and motivating! The workouts are challenging and enjoyable. Can’t wait to do more!
Erin Kelley: I adore everything about barre3. The people, the workouts, the instructors. The sense of calm when I leave. The fact I can take livestream classes if I’ve had a covid scare. It’s everything I need in a low impact workout and I’m so glad to have returned here!

Full Circle Yoga KC: what do users think?
Leigh Appenfeller: This studio is a game changer, mentally and physically. Such a welcoming atmosphere and I always leave feeling 10 times better. I'm so happy to have found this studio early on in my pregnancy!
Timmy Man: Amazing yoga place where she meets you where you are that day. Great for kids and adults. I wish the studio was open when I was pregnant or my baby was young. I definitely would've been there often. My son has gone to Jenny since he was about 3 (her last location) and loves it every time. We had such a great time at Yoga in the Park!! Thank you Jenny for all your amazing work. I could not highly enough recommend this place!!!
Jessica Maney: I stumbled across Full Circle mostly by accident when I was looking for prenatal wellness Groupons around Christmas time and there was a special for prenatal yoga. I’d not really ever done yoga before so very much a newbie but felt my pregnant body needed the movement. The studio was extremely welcoming even before I ever arrived! I got a welcome email from the owner offering to answering any questions after I’d registered for my first class online. The first class I felt right at home. Jenny is owner and teaches many classes and so so sweet with a very calming personality! I enjoyed going to many prenatal classes and now some postnatal classes with my baby too! I am constantly recommending her studio to all my pregnant friends! I’m so happy I found her studio as it offers a comprehensive welcoming tribe for mothers in all stages!Additionally, I was blessed to have Jenny be a doula for the birth of our daughter and cannot sing her praises enough! Currently early in her doula career, you’d never know it…. She brings such knowledge and calming presence to the delivery. I could not have done it without her!1000% recommend this studio and tribe of great people!!!
Bonnie Birdsell: I found Full Circle Yoga KC after searching for prenatal yoga in KC last summer. In a busy and stressful season of life, I wanted to find a place where I could focus solely on preparing for my baby's arrival. FCYKC was the perfect place - Jenny is incredible, and every other yogi I've met there has been so wonderful and supportive. I now take my new baby to the BYOB (Bring Your Own Baby) yoga classes, and he loves them! I highly recommend FCYKC to anyone looking for prenatal or family-centered yoga classes.
Becky Schubkegel: Full Circle truly revolutionized my prenatal experience. I started attending in my 2nd trimester looking for community and support, and found such a caring, open, authentic group of people that exceeded any expectations. I am 4 weeks from delivering a very unexpected baby, but have never felt more prepared, empowered, and strong physically and mentally because of the Full Circle community. There is something here for everyone, whether you've ever done yoga before or not, whether you've ever given birth before or not. I am eternally grateful for Jenny and the entire community here. Highly recommend to anyone at any point in this journey.
Danielle Bisignano: I would highly recommend this studio! I started coming to Full Circle early in my pregnancy. I continued prenatal yoga classes throughout my pregnancy. It was so wonderful being able to continue practicing as my body grew and changed. I also loved getting to meet other expecting mamas and share our experiences and journeys. This was my first pregnancy. Since our little girl was born we started going to the BYOB (bring your own baby) classes and we have such a fun time together! I am looking forward to continue attending classes with her as she grows. While pregnant I also attended other workshops the studio hosted: Pelvic Floor, Couples Partner yoga, Breastfeeding course. In some of the other workshops we were able to learn different laboring positions and ways my husband could support during labor. Jenny, Deana, and Miracle are amazing yoga instructors! I am so thankful that I found this community for this new chapter of our lives!
McKay Campbell: I absolutely adore Jenny, Deana, and the entire Full Circle Yoga community. I started coming to class in the first trimester and it has been a complete game changer for my mentality surrounding pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. I've found a community of incredible women to lean on as well as amazing classes that make me feel strong, empowered, and connected to myself and my baby. The resources at FCYKC are amazing- from pelvic floor therapists to lactation consultants, Jenny and Deana always know exactly where to send pregnant mama's for anything they need. I can't wait to bring my baby back for BYOB classes after delivery and continue on with this amazing community of mothers. If you're curious, I would highly recommend trying out a class- it's never too early!
Ellen Hailey: Full Circle Yoga is the best! The prenatal yoga classes and workshops (chiropractic, partner classes) have been an integral part of both my pregnancies. My experience here had so many benefits - connecting with a supportive community of women, preparing my body and mind for labor through yoga and learning laboring techniques.I truly credit the prenatal classes here to my positive birth experiences. The programming Jenny has created is so wonderful, I can’t recommend it more!
Anna Joy Walker: I cannot say enough good things about Jenny and Full-Circle. I recommend her classes to every pregnant momma I meet. Having the support from Jenny and the other women sharing this crazy moments of growing a human was exactly what I needed. Don't hesitate. I am generously endowed (all over) and have knee issues. Jenny helped me find positions that worked for my body. It was also the first yoga experience that I felt truly supported and not judged for my size (which I feel is essential for women like me who avoid certain activities because we've experienced so much judgement and criticism about our bodies). I'm so grateful for my experience and do plan to make it back for the baby friendly classes.
Lauren McNellis: What an overall wonderful experience. I practiced prenatal yoga with my second pregnancy and felt it made all of the difference in feeling physically and mentally ready for birth. I utilized a visual that Jenny had led us through in class while I was in labor and was able to keep calm through very intense sensations. The instructors intentionally create a welcoming and empowering space for women and families. The owner Jenny, has found her calling. She is wonderfully genuine and is changing the world in her own way by bringing women together. Women wrapping around other women as they prepare for birth is always how pregnancy was meant to be. Absolutely worth it, will positively impact your pregnancy and birth.
Jenny Redix Jordan: I was blessed to be able to experience prenatal and BYOB yoga with Jenny Hellman and Full Circle Yoga for THREE babies! I have experienced many types of yoga classes, and different types of prenatal yoga, and FCY offers the most empowering prenatal yoga experience. The classes would fill my cup. I always left feeling stronger and more confident with my changing body. The classes also helped me during childbirth. I am so thankful my journey intersected with FCY.
Jenna Walburn: Attended the coming of age class with my daughter and it was a wonderfully presented class. I would recommend it to anyone with a tween daughter!
Megan Kazmi: Full Circle Yoga is the best! So helpful physically and emotionally throughout my pregnancy (and after). Jenny is genuine, knowledgeable and caring and I’m so grateful for her and the community she has built through FCY!
Bekah Durar: Jenny is an amazing yoga instructor! I've been to her prenatal, baby yoga, and little movers yoga. I can't say enough amazing things about the classes, especially the prenatal. Jenny makes you feel like a confident warrior mama, getting you ready for all that will come with labor. The community that is built practicing yoga with other expecting mom's is another reason why I love Full Circle Yoga!
Mary Mahon: Best thing you can do during your pregnancy!I was not much of a yoga person, but after reading Emily Oster's Expecting Better book she found that research proved prenatal yoga can significantly improve the birth. I figured I had to give it a try. Wow, if you are pregnant you have to go to Full Circle Yoga KC. It is a welcoming environment that any yoga skill can participate in. I feel like it was half yoga half group therapy. It was so nice to be surrounded by other women going through the same experience and not feeling alone. The instructors were so helpful on helping anyone through any aches or pains. They even brought in experts to educate you outside of just yoga like spinning babies and lactation. I was so comfortable and agile throughout my pregnancy thanks to prenatal yoga. I was even dancing at a silent disco the weekend before I gave birth! I used everything I learned in class on the delivery bed in order to successfully flip my baby around- the nurses were very impressed! I highly recommend Full Circle Yoga KC!
Taylor Cunningham: I came to Full Circle at 12 weeks pregnant without a clue of what it would be like. I had just moved to Kansas City and was a roller derby skater before, so yoga was unfamiliar and intimidating to me. I worried about "fitting in" with other moms there. What I received was an incredibly warm welcome, constant support, and ongoing encouragement from the instructors and other expectant parents. Prenatal yoga with Jenny has helped me connect to and experience my own body in ways I never have before. It has inspired me to dig deeper into my own fears about pregnancy, labor, and birth. And that isn't even the yoga part! Each class is relaxing, challenging, and makes me feel so good afterwards. I will recommend this studio to any and all friends who are pregnant or postpartum.
Kelsey Owens: I started taking prenatal classes at Full Circle during my first trimester and doing so has made a noticeable, positive impact on my mindset throughout pregnancy! Jenny and the other teachers truly care about each student in class, sharing helpful positions and techniques to prepare for a positive birth experience. Full Circle has truly provided the support and community I’ve needed to navigate pregnancy after loss ❤️
Leslie Ranney: I decided to attend the Prenatal Yoga classes from a recommendation from my doula. One of the best decisions I ever made to help me enjoy my pregnancy and prepare for labor and birth. I truly looked forward to doing class with Jenny every Wednesday and Saturday. She not only prepared me physically for my natural birth but also mentally and spiritually. Connecting with other pregnant mamas during their pregnancy journey was so refreshing because everyone was so open and supportive. Jenny went above and beyond by offering to do the class live via Zoom so I could attend from the comfort of my own home and I still felt connected to everyone in the class. HIGHLY, highly recommend attending prenatal yoga classes. I was able to have a successful and surreal natural birth and I have to believe part of that was due to this amazing preparation.
Betsy Farris: Such a great yoga studio! I’ve done prenatal, partner prenatal, BYOBaby, and restorative postpartum and all have been the perfect blend of supportive community, connective practice, and practical exercises to do outside the studio. The owner, Jenny, is encouraging and incredibly invested in her clients and makes each member of the class feel connected to each other.I know that the breathing techniques Learned at prenatal yoga helped me during my birth- i had the nurses even comment on how helpful the techniques were.I am very grateful for the community at Full Circle and the ways the classes have helped me during multiple phases of motherhood.
Melody Stratton: I loved attending prenatal yoga classes at FCYKC during my pregnancy! I started attending around 16 weeks and continued until I was in labor. At the beginning of my pregnancy I had a lot of anxiety about pregnancy loss and was also diagnosed with a uterine abnormality. I spoke with Jenny prior to coming to class and she did research to help me modify poses to make sure they were safe for my pregnancy, which I really appreciated. My baby was breech until ~36 weeks, so I continued to modify poses and do poses to encourage him to flip. When he finally did, our whole class celebrated, which made me feel so supported! Jenny's classes are always really motivating, and I went into labor and birth feeling very confident. I also really appreciated the conversations we had before class and the resources the other women shared. We talked a lot about the 4th trimester and breastfeeding, and now that I'm in that phase I think back to what I learned and heard daily. I am so glad FCYKC was part of my pregnancy journey and I highly recommend it for all pregnant people!
Mimi Koppen: I love the prenatal and baby yoga classes with Jenny, and my new favorite is the postpartum restorative class with Miracle. She has great instrumental music and a calming energy. The best part is that I’ve been going to physical therapy for slight diastasis recti and lower back pain, and we did a lot of the same poses and movements in this class that my physical therapist has me do. They also allow your baby in the class if you want or need to bring them. Highly recommend!
