Hodge Park Playground: what do users think?
anna Benson: Kids and I love ❤️ this park
Stephani Cornwell: Super awesome park!!
Aubrey G: This playground is great. There is lots of space to spread out and lots of things to climb on. The turf is nice, but I could imagine it gets hot on warm sunny days. There are some shaded spots. The only change I would make would be to add more items for babies/toddlers. There wasn’t much my daughter could do safely. Even the swing area didn’t include an infant swing.
myles brooks: The place is wonderful especially for convenient walks with the doggo. BUT, if you are down at the lower fields allowing your dog to run make sure it has tick medicine. My dog came home covered May 13th 2023, and I mean 20-30 that I picked off. They need to spray or even cut the grass because it is a breeding grounds right now. Most of our other visits were fall and winter last year (she's only 1) but man what a nuisance.
PETER T: 10/10! Possibly the best playground for toddlers in the Midwest!
Scoots D: Desperately in need of restrooms
Eric Green: Just found this place and the kids had a blast. A real hang out and busy but there's plenty for all.
Christine Rivera: Great park with artificial grass. Clean and safe. Walk the dog along the river. Open fields for Frisbee, kickball etc.Dog-friendliness: Great walking trail for dogs.
Brandon Lewis: Can be crowded but otherwise great place. (Which is attested by the crowds). The playground and nearby walking paths seem to be well maintained. Kids love going.
Sayed Ismail: Great outdoors playground for kinds to run.
Abbey Johnsen: Very clean, fake grass, Football field across from park area. No restroomPlayground: Open, toddler to big kid friendly.
Benjamin Murat: Clean , family park and great zip lining
Gail Pruett: I liked it. I used to visit this place at two in the am.
Cody: Great park with many activities for kids 2-10. I wouldn't recommend older than that so that littles can continue to play safely.
Kristin Maerke: A magical playground. Worth a drive. Plan a couple of hours as there is soooo much to do. No on site bathroom other than a porta potty, but it was super clean.
K F: My kids love this park. It's very clean and usually isn't too busy.
Ramazan Akkilic: A great park
Saif Salah Designz: We like it, clean, and the trail very nice. My kids love it.
Jared Pointer: Very nice playground for little kids.
Bottomless Shreds: I love this park, late nights woth friends here just hit different. Great for kids too
Jake: Been many times with my 4 yr old. Well-kept and lots of room to run. The paved trails are also good for walking and bikeriding. Trail also connects to the buffalo viewing area just a short bikeride away. Careful going around curves and there are many hills on those trails.

Penguin Park: what do users think?
Addie C: Love the place so much but one thing is, the graffiti is a big problem especially because it's everywhere!!!
Linda Stayton: Great unique park for various aged kids. There's also a long, paved looping path behind it. It goes around a fishing pond with park benches along the way.
Angela young: This park is very popular. It's one of the busiest in the kc northland. Kids live it.Playground: My son says he likes penguin park because it's easy to make friends there. My daughter likes the climbing set.Restrooms: They have flush toilets. :)Dog-friendliness: There's a nice paved walking trail that's over a mile long.Picnic area: There are covered picnic tables and tables in full sun.
Anthony Reyes: Nice park and different vs. the other parks you find in the area. Would recommend going in the morning as it get overwhelming packed towards the afternoon.
Alex Northrup: Dirty. Too busy. Individuals with drug problems.
Sleep: Wish they had more shady areas but it's fun for the kids
Diana Shores: Grandkids enjoyed the park!

Michelle Woods: Little ones love this place.. lots of updates equipment
Connie Wagenknecht: My little ones love Penguin Park. There are areas for toddlers and older children. There is a large covered area with tables that is very popular for birthday parties. Several grills are situated around it. There are restrooms and water fountains.
S. Lacombe: Clean
Vashel Williams: My boys love this park
jim lewis: So much fun!
Stephen Coleman: It's trippy to be in a park, with your granddaughters that you first visited, before their father was born! PEACE
KGORE: BUSY!
Karin Ellis: Dog-friendliness: Trails are paved and lighted at night. Waste bags are provided in a few places along the path.
Ila Moore: Kids had a good time. I used to play here when I was a little kid
Leah Buenneke: My 3.5 yo loved this park! Only 4 stars because of the parking lot set up, its way too open & close to the park. If you have a runner kid, be careful
Outback: When I was a kid growing up in KC my brother and I would play at this park. Such a great surprise to see that it is still there.
Nicole Esquino: Nice park with a good variety of play equipment. Our 5 year old was fascinated by the giant animals. Our dogs enjoyed walking the trail that is behind the park. Recommend.
Daphne Elizabeth: A super fun park for kids! Probably the biggest playground in the area!

William E. Macken City Park: what do users think?
Walmg88: Fun experience splash pad includedPlayground: Bug playground slide
Peggy Staver: The park has a one-mike paved walking trail, pickle ball and tennis courts, a soccer field, pavillions and more. A nice patk in a quiet residential area of NKC.
Margaret Smith: Many owners don't spay or neuter their pets. Dogs can become aggressive towards female dogs and other males. Need more water hydrants for each side of parks closer to shelter areas.
L. Scholdberg: Beautiful park!Playground: Really nice for families and individuals out for some exercise!
Lynn Monger: We went out for Arts in the Park. It was AMAZING
Dan Cunningham: It's a fun Park North Kansas City always has an activity going on there!Restrooms: The restrooms are always clean!Picnic area: They have plenty picnic tables shelter houses.
R Reece: I love this park!! I went to the Art festival this weekend and it was a ton of fun! Free things for the kids to do. Great libe bands and a fire dancer that was Amazing named Martika!! I will definitely go to more events at Macken park!!

Charles Brager: I have found a new area to ride my bike.
David Rodriguez: Great park to enjoy yourself and family for barbecueing
eric christensen: Beautiful place! I just wish there was a concession stand.
Anne Monroe: One of our favorite places as a family. We like to go sit and share a Frosty and go for a walkPlayground: Have different sections of playground for different age groups, so there's appropriate equipment for toddlers and there's equipment for the older kids.Restrooms: They have more than one restroom to choose from, I think there's 2 in the park. I haven't actually been inside them, but I'm assuming they have a changing station for us moms.Picnic area: You're always clean and I think you reserve a spot online.
Justin Noggle: Rented a pavilion. Nice spot, but the bugs were crazy bad. Outdoors will be outdoors though.
Rodney Jones: Great park experience.Playground: Nice and Available.Restrooms: Open and clean.Dog-friendliness: I see a lot of them there.Picnic area: Nice accommodation.
Diane McKinney: 2 great playgrounds - one more "old fashioned" like I grew up with (swings, slides, climbing equipment all separate) and one more modern all-in-one area. Our grandkids, ages 4, 8, and 13, had fun at both. I want to go back and use the fitness walk! Baseball, tennis, pickle ball, and picnic facilities are available. The restrooms were amazingly clean and NOT stinky!
Andrew Beals: A nice public park tucked away on the edge of North Kansas City.Picnic area: Good shelter, good picnic tables.
Jeremiah Pierce: Great park lots of shelters and nice walking path
dennis patterson: Great park, great town
hubert garrison: Very nice park

The maintenance lady stopped by on her cart to check and see if we needed anything and one was always nearby, so our entire party felt very comfortable. It's an absolutely Beautiful park, very well maintained and user friendly for my 91 year old father who uses a walker to get around. Thank you for a lovely gathering and taking such pride in your park. I wish I could give you 10 stars. Absolutely fabulous!!

Roanoke Park: what do users think?
Viridiana Vazquez: Kids have fun here
jae reynolds: I didn't see this swing there
Daniel Ukoko: Chill
J Williams: Picnic area: Very nice spot to chill and bring a bite 🍕🍟🍔
Yessie Hernandez: wanted to explore a new park to eat my lunch at, and i came across this one. It was very quiet and i got to see a lot of cute dogs and some normal looking kids. the stairs to the left of the park are very steep so proceed with caution. However it is great to throw ice cubes down. The cave to the right of the park is very eerie and dark, but i like the mystery that comes with it. Lastly, i saw a squirrel get knocked out with a fruit, it was the best park ive ever been to.
S Huff: I go there for Kansas City dodgeball club on almost every Sunday.Restrooms: There is no restrooms.
Matthew Kuba: Good park to hang out
Feature Creatures: WILD!
Mike Parker: Good stuff
Brett “Stretch” Slater: Great park in the middle of town. Very scenic and well cared for.
Ben Zabel: Best park in kc great trails
Rome Conrad: Great Park
Gary Franklin: That was a second family gathering at this establishment.
Crystal Colleen: It’s a nice park! There is a long sidewalk for jogging or walking. I only saw one trail that went into the trees. I would like more nature trails on a dirt path, but seeing that it is in the city I can’t complain. There is an impressive play ground. It looks intimidating as someone who is afraid of heights. Will good super vision, this would be a good place to take children who enjoy climbing.
Jose Luis Ayala: A nice, relaxed, refreshing & quiet space not far from downtown.
Keith Finley: I like the trees and walkways
Drea Stevenin: Roanoke park is a little treasure off of 38th and Wyoming. The park offers tennis, picnic tables, walking trails, and a jungle gym. For the truly adventurous there are some small places to climb. I don't recommend going to this park after dark. Unfortunately homeless people often sleep there and if you encounter them it can be dangerous or annoying at the very least. If you follow the brick road just to the east of the park then you will find a zip line to the north. The best time to go April through September during the day. If you are just arriving in Kansas City and have moved here, be sure and check out the community center just to the east of the park. The community center offers a variety of classes that may interest you.
Gregory Allen: We had a LOT of fun there. Lol
Kim Sutton: Absolutely beautiful park!!
Arsalaan Aziz: Good for tennis 🎾 and have official pickleball lines 💯A nice winding sidewalk, and a large open field for children's baseball ⚾ or kickball
Karen Workman: Used to walk my dog there every day. After a long day at KU I went to Sunfresh and got some fresh fruit salad and enjoyed my lunch picknic on a flat rock under a shade tree. I love this park. I used to go to the community center that was my designated place to vote.
