Ascentist Ear, Nose & Throat: what do users think?
pierre michaels: Located @ 4820 College BoulevardLeawood KS,very good doc, & nursesas well as Staff..who treats everyonewith good care & are very professional all the time!..💯
KiTwan Pointer: Dr walls was the best and also the staff
Johna Kaufman: Unfortunately, I was not impressed with this office. When I arrived I was never greeted, I was the only patient waiting to check in. The receptionist and another gentleman were sitting together working on her computer but never once acknowledged me or told me it’d be just a minute. When the gentleman walked away I was still not addressed for another minute. Finally after being checked in I was taken to a room where the medical assistant just seemed like she was having a bad day. The individual doing my audio test was amazing and I have nothing negative to say about her. Dr. Dunfield came in which is not the doctor I requested and immediately disregarded my consistent pain, ear drainage, sore ears, and throat drainage. Despite being told by not one but two urgent care doctors that I have a hole in my ear drum, Dr Dunfield told me he didn’t know what they saw because if that was the case I wouldn’t be passing my hearing test. He recommended OTC nasal spray and Allegra and sent me on my way. My consistent ear pain is still very present and not due to allergies. It’s very frustrating to be in pain and be dismissed by doctors.
Nick Fitzpatrick: Horrible place to go don't waste you're money our time more worried about telling someone to wear a mask then they are about helping out with hearing loss save you're money go somewhere else
Chantel CEE: Please do not go here if you suffer from Allergies. I suffer from Seasonal Allergies and this year has been the worst. I usually handle my allergies with Zyrtec, Allegra or Benadryl. I met with Dr. Dunfield, who was very late. No apology. I figured that since my tonsils and throat was super swollen and red, that I would get some new medication or recommendation for a shot. He told me to keep taking the over the counter meds I am taking, even though they are not working. He refused to remove my tonsils. Told me I wasn't a good candidate because I didn't have 4 sinus infections this year. States that in order to get an injection, I would have to commit to taking shots every week, for at least 1.5 years. In order to get started on that, I would need another allergy test. I was ready to take it right then, but I was told AT THE APPOINTMENT, that I would have to be off of antihistamines for a week. I asked WHY that information wasn't provided at the time I scheduled my appointment. He had no answer. I was charged for an Audio test, none was never taken. It was an absolute waste of time to be there. no relief was given. Took off work early, paid a 60 copay...for nothing. literally. "Just keep doing what you are doing and Move out of Missouri" I left wanting to turn every desk over in that place. The pain and suffering continues. Save the headache and your money, try elsewhere.
Lydia Derhake: Absolutely fabulous. The receptionists were very friendly, and my appointment time was kept promptly. The audiologist was professional and polite, and treated me professionally. Best of all, Dr. Dunfield was very patient and answered all of my questions with helpful and thorough information. I absolutely recommend him to anyone dealing with hearing concerns.
Jamie Kluesner: I had a lovely experience when I went to see Dr Dunfield and audiologist Allison Peter. I would recommend them as providers. HOWEVER, when the bills came I had a not so lovely experience. It was not explained to me when I made my appointment, nor when I arrived at the office that their policy was "billable charges for every provider you see and every service you receive." Therefore I was charged for both providers, which resulted in me paying a copay and another bill towards my deductible. I find this very sad and frustrating that they would not tell patients this in advance. Not everyone is able to afford surprise medical bills. I hope they adjust their practices in the future.
Wayne Emery: Great Doc's and staff. Will go back if need arises again!
Jeanne Baumgartner: After suffering back-to-back sinus infections for 4 months as well as low-grade fever and severe headaches and pain in sinus areas in my face, Dr. Dunfield prescribed prednisone to rule out a possible other condition. He told me after we tried prednisone we would get picture of my head. He did no. Instead, he prescribed amoxicillin (over phone) even though I had taken antibiotics several times over last four months. I went to an ENT for something more than just another antibiotic, but i was patient. Had a horrible reaction to amox (absolutely no heads up about possible side effects of drug). Wasn’t even told to take a probiotic. Had to wait a week for gut issues to calm down. When I spoke to him in original office visit about several nosebleeds i had suffered recently, he was very dismissive since they were “only 10 minutes”. A week later I ended up in ER after 5 nosebleeds in two days. They had to cauterize and pack my nose. ER docs recommended an ENT whom I hope will take my chronic sinus problems seriously - unlike Dr. Dunfield.
Angela Davis: She saved my life and. Took her time to do an Amazing job in surgery...you can barely see my big ole scar! She truly cares and listens to her patients!Im grateful for her! She's the Best!
Chris Norman: Dr. Dunfield has been my ENT for over 5 years. Always on time and always listens to what I have to say. The office staff is also always very helpful
M Bodine: Full service ENT clinic including allergy specialists.
Richard Harkins WØFH: Dr. Dunfield rebuilt my septum a few years ago, and it was a great success. Now struggling with eustacian tube issues and he is always informative and caring.
DesignsbyKatrina KC: Terrible experience! Doctor was 40 minutes late on the day of surgery and we were his first appointment of the day. Then went to post-op appointment at Lakewood location, checked in with receptionist, waited 40 minutes, asked how much longer and was told we shouldn’t have even been checked in because the doctor wasn’t in the office today. Who knows how long we would have waited had we not asked!?!? Keep in mind the post-op appointment was mailed to us not something we scheduled and we received a reminder via text and email in the days leading up to the appointment. It was a tonsillectomy, there are plenty of other choices for an ENT in Kansas City choose someone and some other practice, because this one doesn’t value its patients.
CharlesG: Very professional, fast and knowledgeable doctors.
Jordan Bond: I can't recommend this practice highly enough. I've been twice; once in 2015 and again today, and both experiences were great. Scheduling via phone was quick and easy. Check-in was friendly and fast, and Dr. Dunfield was quick to diagnose and fix my partial deafness.
joseph s: Terrible experience. I seen a Doctor ONCE who sent me to take an exam. At the exam they informed me the "doctor" would contact me and tell me the results. One month passed I received a bill I payed it and that was it. Still not sure what the results of that test were or if I have any follow ups. Would not recommend AT ALL.

Pierre Podrebarac, M.D.: what do users think?
Brian Mackley SR: Great Doctor and staff. Appointment was on time. Doctor explained everything and answered all my questions. Would highly recommend!
Linda Thomas: Very positive visit. Person who did my hearing test very informative. Dr. Made my week with his diagnosis. Went in expecting the worst. Came out expecting the best recovery.
Susan Parman: Great experience. Very kind, professional, and provided great explanations. Offered further testing options and ideas. Very pleasant experience.
Mr Ceee: He is very nice, but it is always at least an hour wait from the time the nurse leaves the room until he comes in the room. Such a long wait every time.
Beverly Welsh: Had a good experience and well satisfied with services
Gina Anderson: Amanda in the allergy clinic is amazing. I look forward to seeing her.
Heather LeRoy: Dr. Podrebarac was great! He took extra time to explain my condition and was very kind.
Brian Burke: Took a bad situation and turned it into a good one. Outstanding I would recommend him to anyone. Very personable and patient friendly!
T “TP” P: Love it there, from the Dr. To the front desk, amazing!
Grannie ToTwelve: Dr Podrabaric and his office staff take excellent care of me during my visits. Dr. Podrabaric explains every step of any procedures and answers questions. He has helped me regain hearing that had decreased. Im very happy with this ENT.
Toni Williamson: Dr. Podrebarac was very attentive to my medical concern. His team is a caring group. Don't listen to others when it come to doctors. Find out for yourself. People are opinionated for all kinds of reasons that would be irrelevant to your issue. Dr. Podrebarac deserves for you to know him for yourself. He truly is a great doctor.
Jessica Jennings: The worst doctor I have ever had. He is only interested in helping patients if the answer is easy. He made me feel devalued and implied since the only test he ordered turned out fine that I must be making in up. He said my CAT scan was also fine, but bullied me into another appointment. If my test are fine and I am making it up, want do I need another appointment? When I lodged a complaint with Meritas' HR department, the lady told me it is not his first. (Alluded that there were many) I am personally seeking a second opinion. Remember Doctors are not actually a rarity. That's why they are able to have whole universities in order to become one. Finding one that is GOOD, that is what is rare. I encourage you to leave and find a better one.
Jan Hodge: Very knowledgeable and caring.
Vickie Watts: We have visited Dr. Podrebarac several times. Very happy with our experience. He makes you feel like he is very concerned for your condition and is honest about what is going on. I highly recommend him.
bonnie moore: Excellent doctor.

Dr. Eric C. Christensen, MD: what do users think?
Shauna Martinez: Dr. Eric Christensen is excellent! His bedside manner is professional & very compassionate at the same time. He is very thorough on my exams and I highly recommend him for your ENT conditions.
Nick Ryan: Dude couldn’t give me a straight answer as to what was wrong and provided little help to what is still an ongoing issue.
Lodi: Dr Christensen, MD saved my life and for that I am grateful. Looking forward to seeing him again!!
Katina Fair: I had a complete sinus makeover in 2010 by Dr. Eric Christensen and he done such an amazing job that I had another head of dept. ENT tell me that I have a beautiful septum and he asked who done my surgery and recommended that I never let another doctor do anything.
Vanessa Flint: Called to make an appointment and the scheduler was soooo rude! When I told her I was at work and would have to call her back with my information she said she couldnt keep my appointment. Ill go elsewhere
Stephen Hall: Dr. Christensen did a terrific job diagnosing what other physicians couldn't. I was better within 24 hours. Our whole family has been to him for different ENT issues, and the results are always the same. AWESOME Doctor!!!!!
Lindsey Sinclair: Dr Christensen put tubes in my ears and my sons. He’s super friendly and great at what he does. I recommend him to my family and friends all the time
Tony Chambers: Fantastic service friendly people and very professional it has been 10 years since I've visited them in the other building and the service was just as good 10 years later thanks for the great service folks I do recommend them highly.

Joseph A Ursick, MD: what do users think?
Ummuhan Malkoc: The doctor is good but the staff around him is not helpful. They are not punctual, making people wait too much. They don’t answer to questions over the phone and answer emails, don’t care the voice messages
Kelly L: I have been a patient of Dr. Ursick’s for about five years. I have seen at least 6 other ENTs since developing some ear issues about 13 years ago both in KC as well as where I’m from in SoCal. He is hands-down the best ENT I have ever been to, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He takes the time to talk to you and really try to figure out what is going on. He was able to help me with an issue that no other ENT was. Sometimes the wait is really long, which is unfortunate, but he is so worth it!
Frankie Kc: Life Changing!!! Thank you Dr Ursick for the amazing way you have allowed me not to annoy everyone around me, taking What out of my vocabulary, and letting me enjoy my life so much better. The downside, I didn’t know my stairs squeaked, airplanes flew over my house, my dishwasher actually made noise, my car had a rattle, my ceiling fan made a weird noise, etc. etc.I used to have my tv on 100 volume, now 24. I am so grateful to be able to hear things I don’t remember hearing before. Thank you so much, and thank you for the way you interact and treat your patients. Your surgical center was amazing as well. I ended up with some bad dizziness afterwards that was horrible, but the doctor and the anesthesiologist were there by my side to do everything they could to help me. They could have pawned me off on the nurses but they didn’t. This is a top notch group that deserves a 10. Thank you!
Brenda Bredson: I love the way he did my colear implant s surgery and I think he did a awesome job and I appreciate it and he is absolutely awesome
Sarah Mott: Dr. Ursick is amazing!! My son recently had the Tympanoplasty procedure and we cannot thank Dr. Ursick enough! He explained everything to us thoroughly from the 1st visit until beyond my son's surgery. His hearing improvement exceeded our expectations and we are so thankful!!
Amy Moore: Dr. Ursick was more helpful then I ever expected. After two years after my car accident, no other doctor could tell me what was wrong with me. He pinpointed exactly what was causing my migranes and dizzy spells. The medication he gave me gave me my life back and helped my anxiety. The anxiety that I could never get under control before. Also he referred me to a neurologist which my physician should already done. Thank you Dr.Ursick for taking the time to help me. You are exceptional
Sheri Hubner: I hate to rate Dr. Ursick as a 1 because he is a fabulous 5 star Doctor. But his front desk staff and office manager are extremely unprofessional, unfriendly, and unhelpful.
Rob Massa: I would have to say that Dr. Ustick is a Godsend to my wife. After suffering from Meniers induced vertigo for years, he and Dr. Neil performed a VNS (vestibular nerve section) on my wife. The surgery went perfect and my wife has her life back. He is the absolute best and we would recommend he and his expertise to anyone in need of neurological work. Absolutely a great guys who goes out of his way to help and change peoples lives.
Sherri Oxley: Dr. Ursick is AMAZING!! My son had a cholesteatoma and Dr Ursick surgically removed it at Childrens Mercy Hospital. The entire experience was beyond exceptional at CMH- I was very scared since we had never had anything like this before and I am so glad to have found this doctor. He absolutely knows his stuff! My little guy had an incision the whole length of the back of his ear and you can barely tell now. The scar is beautiful. :) That is the sign of an EXCELLENT surgeon!! I was so impressed with the way he reassured us the whole time and explained everything in a way that I could understand-that means alot to a mommy! I would absolutely wholeheartedly recommend Dr Joseph Ursick!!!! Love him!
Amy Shelton: I can's say enough about Dr Ursick!!! He literally re-built both my son's ear drums and save his hearing! Every other ENT doctor refused to work on him because he is such a complicated case but he never gave up and it worked!! We are definitely patients for life!!
Jyl Daniels: Dr. Urseck has been great to me and diagnosed my ear problem when other doctors "him hawd" around trying things that just didn't work. Dr. Urseck knew right away what the problem was and treated me in his office. He then said that if that treatment works then we would consider surgery and a more permanent solution. He told me right away that I had Meniers disease and that there was no cure but there are treatments and surgical procedures that will help and That would make the problem better. I have another appointment Monday to see about the surgery to help control the symptoms. I am so very happy that I found him. I would recommend him to anyone that has ear disease to see him asap.
Alex Emma: I heard great things about the doctors here, unfortunately the receptionist and practice manager run the place like a DMV. I had a medical emergency with one of my ears and was on time for my appointment, but they wouldn't let me see the doctor because I didn't have a paper copy of my insurance. Because I am out of state, I had a copy of my health insurance card on my phone. The receptionist would not accept my insurance in any electronic form and her excuse was "because they don't have wifi." I took time off work today to deal with this urgent issue and the receptionist did absolutely nothing to accommodate me despite the potential severity of my health issue. She wouldn't even let me use her printer to briefly print the copy of my insurance. I'm not sure if she was just being lazy or is completely incompetent, but it was a very frustrating experience. I strongly advise people in KC with ear problems to go elsewhere because front desk management at the Otologic Center is dreadfully unprofessional.
Galactic Celt: I've had very good experiences with Dr. Ursick. He first assisted me with non-invasive ways of helping get rid of my benign positional vertigo (third Dr. I saw and first to accurately diagnose) and then also did a surgery where he repaired my ear drum and regained a portion of my lost hearing. He has always taken his time to explain things to me and answer any questions I have and he has a very approachable demeanor.
Allen Watts: I've had several surgeons that have operated on my ears. Dr. Ursick is the best of the surgeons that have treated my ears. His cleaning the debris from my ears (wax) is exceptional. He has never hurt my ears and his surgery was outstanding. In addition, his staff has also been pleasant and very knowledgeable. They're outstanding! You can't get better treatment nor a better surgeon.

Saint Luke's Ear Nose & Throat Specialists-North: what do users think?
Haley Schoen: Honestly extremely frustrated after scheduling what I thought was a 1:30pm appt time and waiting over a month to be seen to be told I am ten minutes late and I can’t be seen. I was under the impression I was early. I’ve been in extreme pain and discomfort for five months now and this clinic seems to only care about getting to their lunch on time. I understand the standard 15 min late policy, I too work at a surgical office. I understand. That being said, I was ten minutes “late” and told to reschedule a month out. The most frustrating part is I use the same scheduling software called epic at my office, I am fully aware how the schedules run and operate and I understand being late can cause frustrations within the schedule, that being said, a little bit of kindliness goes a long way, and when offering me another appointment, offering a month out because of a miscommunication of ten minutes, is a joke.
Candy Thomas: He is a nice doctor but he doesn't listen to me. He doesn't believe me when I told him I have Vertigo. I thought I would recommend him but I found out later on that he doesn't believe in what I said. I was really disappointed in him after my third appointment with him.
Betsy Mattison: Incredibly amazed by this office and Dr. Howlands courtesy. I have been advocating for my son for a long time about needing tubes in his ears, I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars in urgent cares and emergency rooms for constant infections. I switched pediatricians because one wouldn’t refer to a CM ent and then the other wouldn’t either. I finally started making phone calls and SLHS ent didn’t need one. They did have to switch our apt a couple of times which was fine because it actually ended up being earlier and this morning my son is finally relieved of all these atrocious random urgent care visits that have been so medically unnecessary. Thank you to Dr. Howland and his generous staff for listening to my pleas, I’m in tears writing this!
Kathryn Baker: I recently had nasal surgery with Dr. Neff and couldn’t be more pleased. He was very thorough in explaining what would happen, and was available for all my questions. Not inconsequentially, the outcome of the surgery was great. I would recommend Dr. Neff to anyone.
Rachel Serrano: Continuously rescheduled me.
Rebecca Moore: They want a COVID 19 test within 72 hrs but won’t accept a Rapid Test. They want you to drive to their center for testing. They’re an hour away from my house, so that would be two hours driving on two separate days, one for the test and the second being the appointment day. Rapid Tests are accurate and accessible in any of the other Dr Offices in Saint Luke’s, KU, and Saint John’s Hospitals, including the extensive Pulmonary testing, and results are back within 24, usually less. There is ZERO reasons not to accept a Rapid test from another location. Unacceptable.
Wes Green: Dr. Gochee is one of the best I've seen. Wasn't in a hurry and wanted to know exactly how I was feeling. Even sat down and went over an entire CT scan with me
Holden Smith: I had to make an appointment that was a month away. Three hours prior to the appointment they called and said my appointment would need to be rescheduled. They said the next appointment time is over a month out. I told them that this was unacceptable and they said I could call the Plaza location they have six ENT doctors and we have just one. I was able to get an appointment that week at the Plaza location. That means I could've seen a doctor almost a month before my appointment was cancelled. They acted surprised that I was not happy with them. Save yourself the hassle and call the Plaza location or go somewhere else.
Emily Brown: Scheduled an appointment , arrived right on time only to find out they have a policy that you must arrive 15 minutes ahead of time for new patients otherwise if you show up any later then 15 minutes ahead of your “scheduled” appointment time they have to reschedule you.I own a business as well and it’s good client customer service to INFORM your clients about this policy PRIOR to them arriving. You can imagine how frustrating it is to show up only to find out the appointments not happening. What a waste of time I do not recommend this Doctor office. Poor client/customer service.
Penny Graham: Only worried about money
Erin Gillitzer: Dr Gochee is wonderful. He really takes the time to answer all your questions and you never feel rushed. I highly recommend him.

Valerie Anne Wood, MD: what do users think?
Sandra Oliver: Dr. Wood was excellent , so glad I am her patient
alyssa young: After seeing two different ENTs, Dr. Wood was the first one to take me and my discomfort seriously. She performed my sinus surgery, and it changed my life. She is compassionate, informative, kind, and really wants the best for her patients.
Michaela Curls: Dr. Wood was truly a blessing to me and my family as I underwent an adult tonsillectomy. So compassionate! Love this woman!
Glenn Golden: Dr Wood is Knowledgeable and compassionate. She helped diagnose my mouth cancer. Obviously a scary time. She helped me with what to expect during my treatment. I am now cancer free for 15 months and I’m grateful for her guidance and treatment.
