tasha hill: This is not a bad review just an unhappy but nice customer Arrived at 935 wanted some finger waves got in the chair within 5 min that was great the staff and students very friendly and nice left out at about 1250 after 2 students and 2 instructors on my head and this is what I left with $28 dollars and a $5 tip each to the students 3 hrs later

Brenna: Valerie and Carly were wonderful and very professional! Carly did my microderm and Valerie waxed my eyebrows and gave me a massage. Overall a very pleasant experience. (I believe your fire extinguishers are due for a re-service though)

I also decided that this was the straw that broke the camel's back I will no longer give my hard earned money to this business. No I'm not recommending this place to anyone. She didn't have lice she doesn't have it, the director made it sound like he didn't believe me.

I Usually don’t do this but , I recently received a facial and somehow contracted Covid , I am angry and frustrated as I have a family , who now I cannot see , because the work environment that summit salon provides isn’t well kept nor clean for us (clients). I RECOMMEND summit salon invest in taking the time to clean and sanitize there work spaces for safety of each client and Therapist that comes through the door. I pray and hope nobody experiences the same thing. Very unsafe.

Jarlecia Patterson: I attendend this school a total of six days ---with the unfortunate turn around of having to withdraw. I am now in a lump sum of debt behind my unforseen circumstance. The approach is as if they are willing to prevent you from being indebted- but in actually from the moment you sign their very unclear contact, you are definitely signing your self up for an excessive amount of debt; which could later affect your credit negatively. I started classes the third day of being enrolled, the instructor was absent the rest of the week. My review is also based off the very poor teaching I received here, and the lady in the office is very rude. BE SURE TO READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THEIR CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING!!! GOOD LUCK

Tania Edwards: I've been going to this school for services for 6-7 years. I've observed many students enroll and graduate. I've continued to return because of the quality of work performed by the students - they are monitored while working on your hair from licensed instructors that produce amazing results! The environment is welcoming, family friendly and positive. The prices are reasonable but if they continue to raise prices, I will not be able to afford it or justify continuing to go to a school for services versus licensed beauticians. Overall, the owners are professional and friendly people. They run a great establishment 😊.
R K: From a perspective student standpoint this school is terrible. No professional products used on clients, instructors are not up to date on techniques. The school is owned and managed by a weird group of people who use religion as a means to control students with the constant threat of kicking them out. There was absolutely NO TRAINING OR SUPPORT FOR BUSINESS. The school does NOT reach out to graduates or foster an environment of trust. They do not pay their employees on time. DO NOT RECOMMEND. You’re better off at another school.

Holly Williams: Okay. They’re not for the younger crowd for sure. Old polishes. The gal I had do my nails refused to shape them as I liked, instead insisted what looked better on my hands. I’ve been here a few times and have had a few issues with customer service. My new nail tech couldn’t believe it’d only been a week between for my fill. They don’t push the acrylic to the cuticle. So after a week you’ll need a fill.

Keely Thompson: do not get dip powder nails here!!!! they do not know what they are doing. drilled my nails down until they were red and sore and did not know how to apply the dip powder. she kept having to drill off the powder and drill down the acrylic extension. the next day one of my nails broke and i went in to get it fixed. they were super rude and acted annoyed about me asking them to fix it. she put on the wrong color and started to laugh about it. did not offer to fix anything. i will not be back.
Kate Christensen: I came in for a walk-in— no one spoke to me for 20 minutes. I was then asked what I needed so I mentioned I needed a mani/pedi. 10 minutes later someone got back to me and said they could only do 1 of the 2 due to appointments. No issue as I was a walk in, but it’s extremely rude that it took 30 minutes for someone to tell me that. I could be halfway through a service somewhere else by now.

Cameron Stude: I went this academy on Barry Rd. Went in for highlights and a cut. I told them I had a previous perm, and color, which damaged my hair. I asked them if the highlights would be too much for my hair to handle. I know this is a student salon, but the instructor assured me it’d be okay. Needless to say, when she started taking out the foils, my hair was stringy and started falling out with the foils. My hair became even more damaged, even after the cut. I asked if I could get a refund if I just shaved my head (which was over $100). They said no because I’ve already used the products. Then we decided a short pixie cut would be best, so I brought up an inspo picture. They did not do what I asked for the cut, I really didn’t like it.My experience was very disappointing, especially not receiving a refund.I drove down the streets to Great Clips and got a classy shave that actually looks great on me.
Pecas Coco: DO NOT ATTEND! UNPROFESSIONAL!I was in contact with Shai about enrolling in April and it went onto possibly attending in May. However due to the lack of communication I have decided to withdraw my application and continue to look elsewhere for a more friendly and helpful facility. When I was on the phone with Shai I explained to her that I needed help with my FAFSA in which she said “I will send you a video” I then went to the school to speak to her and get a better understanding on what I needed to get the ball moving. I was told by the girls at the front desk that she was in and when they went to get her they returned with a piece of paper with Shai’s phone number and was told to call cause she was not in. When I finally got in touch with her she told me I will not be able to start school until July. I explained to her that I would have liked for better communication between us for my enrollment and informed her that this has been the most stressful situation I have been in. I received no assistance in anyway shape or form from her and when I told her I appreciate her time and that I will be withdrawing my application she simply hung up. That to me screams unprofessional and I’m glad I did not follow through with enrollment.

Kristin Kandt: The prices are great but it's hit or miss here. Unless you have an easy cut, or want an out of sight hair color, this place may not be for you. For older professional women, this is not the place. They aren't trained in classic hairstyles from the 80s or 90s, and a good professional cut is hard to come by, especially in layers. This is for young women who like shaved heads, or partial shaved, or as stated, way out hair colors. This is fine. But an older professional person will likely not find a fit here.

Tania Arcos Perafan: I did my nails on Sunday, on Monday one nail cracked and lost a part of the color on Tuesday another nail cracked, I called the site to give this information and they tell me that they do not have a guarantee because they are not nails made in gel or in acrylic and that they could repair them but I still have to pay, I have done this traditional nail service since I was 15 years old and they have always lasted intact for at least 1 week and a half, the only thing I can imagine is that the products to use are of poor quality , the service in the salon has always been good, however with this experience I do not intend to return or recommend itServices:Pedicure,Manicure

It was the closest to my home, then I moved 25 minutes away, where there are many nail salons, but I keep going back to Anh, she’s absolutely the best!I don’t usually write reviews, but after my last visit, I witnessed unfair treatment from walk-ins, who I’m sure leave some of the negative reviews. They have a sign that states they can’t accommodate walk ins posted in the front door. Three people (different instances, not a group) walked in while I was there and when they were informed there was no availability unless they scheduled in advance, all three were rude the owner because they didn’t get their way.All the technicians there are always professional, kind and do their best. I also really like that it doesn’t smell of acrylic at all. I can’t stand most nail salons because the odor is so concentrated. Maggie Knesel: I’ve been to this salon a couple times now, and I have never been disappointed in their service until today. I called this afternoon to see if they had any openings and she told me they could squeeze me in at 5:45. Wonderful. I walked in at 5:45 and I sat in the pedicure chair until 6:15. For 30 minutes, I did not have a single person talk to me besides the initial instructions to pick out my colors. They did not even fill my water bowl to soak my toes. After 30 minutes, I picked my stuff up and left. I appreciate them attempting to squeeze me in but it was a complete waste of my time. Just tell me if you’re too busy and I would have come in a different day.

Lucy Conklin: I had a lovely first visit to Blush Lounge. I chose them based on good reviews, and I was rewarded. Sisu did my dip manicure and did a great job. She was attentive, detail oriented and checking in to make sure shaping and color was good throughout. I got the blush pedicure afterwards with Stephanie, and it was a really lovely service. Feet soak, exfoliation, moisturizer with a sock, and warm towels, massage throughout. It was heavenly. I had a great chat with Stephanie too, and she mentioned her passion for nail art which I didn’t take advantage of today, and said Sisu was also great at. I was searching for a new nail salon, and I think I found it. They are appointment only, but I was able to get in with a next day booking. I appreciated that the environment was not only beautiful, but also chill yet friendly. It was clear that most of the clients were repeat visitors or regulars. No one waited more than a few minutes. I look forward to going there again in a few weeks
Natalie Cornell: Definitely recommend! The experience was so relaxing. It's not a huge lounge, 6 pedicure chairs, but that was way more my style than the last place I went. Everyone there seemed knowledgeable, and my tech helped me pick out a color to compliment my skin tone for an upcoming vacation. I'm definitely planning return visits.

My friend and I both had dip and a pedicure and both services were fantastic. The pedicure itself i would come back for because it was the best pedicure I’ve ever had! They were gentle, used clean tools, actually massaged your legs and feet for more than a minute and everyone is super friendly and does amazing.

Vann Eubank: My partner and I went here for manicures, and my partner told them over the phone not to do gel polish for either of us, but they ended up telling us gel would last longer so we got that. The next day one of my nails peeled off entirely. The next day they were open I called and asked for a refund on the gel portion of the manicure as the staff were all very friendly and seemed skilled in their trade so I enjoyed the over all service. I was told that they would talk to a manager and then they would call me back. I waited 2 days and did not hear back so I called back and was told they would be willing to give me another manicure with the gel portion for free. Over all the studio is very cute and the staff is very friendly. The girl I spoke with seemed to think the polish may have been expired so I do not believe it was the application that was the issue. My partners acrylics turned out beautifully and they loved them.

I was a bit nervous, but the staff were patient, gentle, and friendly.The place was a bit tricky to find the first time (on third floor of building iirc).I didn't have any issues scheduling an appointment, but I could see where someone else working weekdays might have trouble getting an appointment as this salon is not open too late. I actually had to reschedule at first and they were able to accomodate for another time that day.My nails were super lovely when they finished, no bubbles or wrinkles! I was expecting more hang nails after having my nails shaped, but was pleasantly surprised to have very few. And the gel nail polish still looks great a week after, despite working with my hands a lot.I was a bit disappointed that they did not have bright red-orange cherry tomato color option for gel nail polish, but I'm digging the bright pink polish I chose instead.

Katie Buxton: This place is all it’s cracked up to be - clean, professional, cute, and thorough work. However, the hours are pretty crummy and it’s difficult to get an appointment. Know that you’ll have to book 3-4 weeks in advance, and even then it will be a daytime appointment. It’s not friendly for 8-5 workers unfortunately, which is disappointing, because it really is the best nail salon I’ve ever been to!
