Im using my sons account to leave a review since I don’t have a Google account myself, but I do want to say the lady Imelda was fabulous in helping me pick out and find the right glasses. She was super sweet and has a good taste in style on what glasses look good on me. I would highly recommend asking for her if you make a trip down to America best in Kansas City. She’s polite and will make sure that you’re taken care of I highly recommend her.
Amari Styles: Haven't had a new pair of glasses in 4 years. I scheduled an appointment and went in and they were willing to help me out. Teagan was very professional with how she handled her clients. You do have to wait a bit before you get your subscription and take the eye test, but that was no problem for me. Other than that it was great, and I'll be back when I need more glasses.

I can drive and actually read street signs - no double vision. Thank you for your perseverance and being kind in the process. I highly recommend the Westport location - they are awesome!

No big deal. 2nd time I went in with my father who needed glasses. Sean and Tony were AWESOME. My father is a Spanish speaker only and I also had scheduled an exam for eye contacts as my glasses were making my face break out. Sean spoke some Spanish and made my father feel comfortable voicing his vision concerns and that he wasn't just agreeing with him because he could only understand so much. He was telling him issues he was having before my father told him anything which gave me ease of mind. Tony was just as great as Sean. Spoke Spanish also and helped my dad find glasses that fit his personality and customize his pair to he daily life needs. Tony also made sure he got his 2 pairs for the price of 1 which made me feel good as I didn't have to constantly ask to confirm. He took care of it from the beginning. Was also excited to be told of the Membership that will benefit me when I purchase my contacts. Overall great experience and would Highly recommend Sean and Tony to assist with examination and eye ware needs.
Nick Cullum: I have used them since I was a young child at the old Bannister location. Always great service and the no questions asked warranty is great. The only problem I have with the warranty process is they now want to see the lens and frames prior to ordering the replacement. So I have to drive in show them then wait and come back for the replacements. I don't own more then one pair of glasses so when they break I usually superglue them togeather till I get my replacements. And they were hesitant to let me keep the glassed till the replacements came. Other than that love the prices. The raybands hold up great.

Low quality products. How the free exam works, if you don't buy the glasses the exam cost is $70. So I decided to just buy the glasses anyways, because I didn't follow the intuition telling me not to when the price was 3x what was advertised. Mind you the lense tint increased the price, but I was told the price per lense, and figured I was told both sides, since most people don't fashion their glasses to look like a pirate.

Andrea Risker: Had an wonderful amazing experience with Epic Vision Eye Center in NKC. I loved Dr.Tiller. I felt she really took the time and effort to explain my images and exam. She was so nice and kind. Her staff was so kind, great, and so helpful. I was having trouble picking out my pair of glasses. They assisted me in giving their honest opinion and I was able to pick out the right pair that worked for me. Thank you all at Epic Vision for making my experience a success.
Booda C: They did not make my prescription correctly. I had to do my eye exam more than once and my glasses still are messed up. I waited over three weeks to get my glasses back each time they were remade. Do not waste your time or money here.
Brooke Hammell: Ordered two pairs of glasses here, went through the exam. Waited forever to get both pairs back, when I got them back I could not see out of my glasses at all. I brought them back to have both pairs remade and they only remade one pair. The manager was rude every time I went in, the other staff at the desk, poor souls, were quite nice.

Reena Dam: Dr. Tiller is great but the one of the lady at the front desk sounds very rude and disrespectful when she talks to customers, for example if you call in to ask questions or needs the doctor to fill out paperwork she always says the doctor is busy and won’t be able to get back to you. I feel like she is giving an excuse because it doesn’t take that long to fill out paperwork and send an email or fax it over to another office. I would’ve gone to another vision office to get my exam done and have another doctor fill it out but my insurance already paid for the exam with a copay and I do not want to pay for a second exam. The front desk lady isn’t good at her job because her tone of voice sounds ridiculous like she doesn’t want to be bothered.

Heather McGilchrist: The exam and Dr. was great, staff overall nice. I had to wait 3 weeks for my glasses to come in, then they were measured wrong so they needed to be sent back. They said it will be an extreme rush to get them back, took another 3 weeks, then I was on vaca...so 7 weeks later I got the glasses. Dont like them at all, still feel they are measured wrong and I have to consistently raise them myself to see. Oh and I was told I was under charged as well, needed to pay another $45 on top of the $ 390 already pd. Not happy and will not recommend them to anyone
ALEXANDER CRUZ: Epic Vision Eye examine was good. But they were not very helpful with the options of eye wear.In addition to that, my wife has had eye glasses for years. She has always taken care of them. She bought 1 pair of glasses and one pair of sun glasses. I did the same and the total was approximately $900.00.Last Sunday we were watching TV and her glasses slid off her face. We looked at her glasses and found the arm which attaches to the frame had detached for no apparent reason. I took her glasses to the Epic Vision Eye Center in North Kansas City. I explained we bought the glasses at the Epic Vision in Parkville. They advised they could still help me. I explained what had happened. They checked me in their computer. They then told me the factory warranty had expired.and they could not help me. They also said to try to glue the arm back on the frame.I do not think Epic quite fits for this business or their customer service.

My son has been wearing glasses for a couple of years but we’ve struggled with doctors in the past not seeming confident in their evaluation. From entering the building until leaving the staff was so kind and extremely patient with us. I am still so blown away by our experience. No one HAS to go out of their way to be kind but goodness, it really does make for nice morning. THANK YOU. We will be loyal customers for sure.

Epic called me and told me that they had undercharged me by $40.....I said OK I'll pay that when I pick up my glasses.3.5 weeks later I was called and was told my glasses were in....so Saturday I went to pick them up .. they aren't open on Saturday.... So off to vacation I went without my new glasses.I picked up my glasses.... Guess what... Wrong frames..... So back I go....they changed out the lenses.. Then I got a bill for $10 more... I went in and paid the $10.... I told the staff to NEVER contact me again. I told them to delete me from their system. I wish I could give a half star... But I can't.

BRI'AN DAVIS: I moved to KCMO recently and have been past due for an eye exam. I saw that this place is a few minute walk from where I live, so I decided to try it. I had a good experience here. The woman who did my initial intake was nice. The doctor doing the eye exam, Dr. Burton was nice, and we discussed how we freakishly have the same birthday, including the year. I came to shop, and ended up buying 3 pairs of regular glasses and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses. I had two ladies helping me pick out glasses, Rameisha and another lady. They suggested some frames and spent time helping me choose. I was told that the glasses would come within 7-10 business days, and the sunglasses would take up to 15 business days. I got all of my glasses within 7-10 business days. All of the glasses came with hard cases and cleaning cloths, and Vision source supplied some glasses cleaner as well. I have worn my Tom Ford glasses (thick black frames) twice, and got compliments on them both days that I wore them. All in all, I don't have any complaints about my experience here. Several of the frames come at a hefty cost, but there are some more affordable options as well.

Maura Wery: Had a great experience with the Westport Eyecare staff! My exam was quick and the doctor was very friendly. The ladies in the front of the store were amazing and asked me several times if I needed help with choosing my frames. Once my frames were chosen, they broke down the cost of everything and got me sized. My glasses came in quickly and fit perfectly. I would recommend them to my co-workers and friends!

I came to the store a bit later and Optical was still closed. A Target employee told me they are never updated when Optical will or won’t be open and that this employee has never seen Optical open on Sunday, despite posted hours. This is the second time this has happened to me (once at another Target Optical branch). Very unimpressed. If Optical is going to be closed, post a sign or something, please. This is quickly making me want to order my glasses somewhere else.

Gary Gleese: I brought a pair of glasses from you guys with my insurance thru my job target back in the earlier stages of 2022. The first week I got the glasses they gave me headaches and more. I took them back to have the prescription check and the manager told me since it was my first time have a prescription on the top and one on the bottom it would take me time to adjust to them. I waited out for another month or 2 still with no change but headaches. This time the manager looked over my glasses and said the line was off and sent in for an adjusted lens. A week passed and the new lens were in. At this time management had changed and everything at the eye place. The new lens were placed in and I was still having the same issues with headaches and all. I spoke with the new manager and she told me there was nothing she could do for me due to the time lapse and that I was helped during a odd window which is new management and doctors. Still to this day I don’t have glasses I can wear (cost 400 with insurance) because of the headaches. Alyssa Peck: When I first started coming here about 5-6 years ago it was amazing. Since then they have taken a turn for the worst. Not reliable at all for appointments. I have had nothing but issues with Americas best. I tried to get into this location and Liberty for over a year with no eye doctors actually on staff at the locations so they could not see me. Glad they have a doctor who can take appointments now but I scheduled 2 appointments for me and family, of course both of them were cancelled due to emergency. BOTH APPOINTMENTS were at different locations. And had emergencies. They cancelled my appointment I scheduled several weeks ago so they could ease the doctor back into work so they dropped 2 appointments for the day at the Liberty location. They called me 3 days before my appointment to reschedule. Highly recommend anyone go somewhere else. This is ridiculous.

Joseph Huth: I am updating the review I wrote below. Everyone, I mean everyone, I have spoken to on the phone at this clinic has been either rude or stupid, no exaggeration. I am so glad I cancelled my appointment because if the poor quality of service extends to the medical staff, then I would be in big trouble having them perform surgery on my eyes.I am a new patient and just called to set up an eye exam. The person scheduling the exam was unprofessional, singing and talking to herself during the appointment making process and making it unduly long and tedious. When I asked for an estimate of how long after the exam I would expect to wait for the acutal surgery, she couldn't answer the question, put me on hold, and called the surgery scheduler who wouldn't give her an answer. This is a simple and reasonable question. I needed to know if I might have to wait one month, two months, one year? I called the surgery scheduler directly to ask for a ballpark estimate of how long I should expect to wait. She responded that she could not tell me exactly how long. I did not ask for exactly how long! She then got testy and defensive when I asked for clarity. She said she could not give me a ballpark estimate but that it could take from one to three months. That is the simple ballpark estimate I was asking for! I am astonished at these poor communication skills and lack of professionalism in a healthcare employee. This does not build confidence in patients, which is part of her job on the front lines of the opthamalogy department. I now understand the frustration of the other 1 star reviewers on this site. I am sure their reviews are highly warranted..

Dana King: The staff at the desk and the girl who did my initial eye tests were friendly. They need to be up front that it is an extra $30.00 for one of the tests that they do instead of dilating your eyes. The doctor? He had ZERO personality and when I tried to ask him a question, he cut me off. He had zero bedside manner and seemed to not care about the issues I had. It was Dr. Baker. I would definitely NOT recommend him.

Delaina Logan: I want to state that my eye doctor Tad Baker isn’t the issue and honestly was a great doctor I had. But after the experience I encountered with the sales rep I will not be going back. She was aggressive, in my opinion, when trying to explain what my insurance covered. Also misinforming me what my insurance covered. I let her know at the time I did not have the money for the Tier 3 premium anti reflective. Instead of offering me any other tiers she made it seem as though that was the only tier they had. So I left. After leaving and going over my insurance with a insurance rep, I went back trying to get a clear vision of what she was trying to explain my insurance covered. Which one of the other doctors also intervened in on our conversation to try and clarify maybe the reason why she did it. The results of the conversation were passive from the doctor and sales rep and I did not feel that it will be rectified. Saying that she was being defensive when initially there should not have been any defense when someone is only asking questions about what they have to offer. One thing this establishment should know is we entrust in them to help us with our vision. Not doing that or educating us on all of the options that are offered whether our insurance covers it or not is a slap in the face to our trust. If you go here please know what all your insurance covers and offers because they may not tell you and only try to sell you what is profitable to them.
Marty Lambertson: Went in on the 9th for my yearly eye exam. Dr. Baker has always given me an exalent eye exam. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. The staff are always friendly and are concerned about me and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Epic Vision.
Angela Sparks: The office staff are the best. They are always friendly with a smile for you when you walk in. Very patient and quick. I always feel so much at ease with staff that I end up chatting with them longer than I should!! I almost forgot I had an appointment. They are the sweetest and Dr. Myers is very thorough and always professional and he never rushes, he takes time to answer all your questions. Last but not least, the atmosphere and decor makes for a very peaceful and calm environment.

This after a $1000 visit for 3 glasses. To boot, the focal length on the reading glasses is arms' length. A tad annoyed.
Mary Steinle: Dr. Curtis Myers is phenomenal! He is kind, listens, and very knowledgeable with the rarest cases. His knowledge is top notch and he continues his education with an open mind. I have recommended my whole family and they love him as well! I would highly recommend Dr. Myers if you want to be truly cared for as a person and not just another “patient”.

kelly lange: I absolutely love the doctor that did my exam and the people that helped out with the other test they are so thorough and they definitely use the up-to-date technology on your exam my pretest took about 20 to 30 minutes because it was so many tests but I felt very comfortable with the way they did everything. I'll definitely go back for my exams here however their prices on their lenses are a little high I ended up going to Costco . I think if you were doing regular single lenses definitely get your glasses here because lots of good frame choices and those lenses aren't very expensive but when you have to do progressive lenses for reading that's when the price increase is quite a bit. But I'm sure there better lenses but I'm very frugal. LOL
