Andrew Ball: Best menswear shop in KC. Awesome denim, accessories, and apparel..low pressure & genuine sales, helpful staff that want to geek out with you on their product and whatever else in the world of fashion and life. Cam and Easton are true gems! I’ve been there under a handful of times and get recognized every time I go in, they really know how to make their customers feel special and more like friends that come to visit! They offer repairs on denim too which is needed from time to time. Tried and true warm vibes with excellent product and experience. Go check it out!!!
Eric Crowder: Perfect retail experience in a relaxed setting with thoughtfully made goods. Always new brands to check out, most of which are typically stocked at the bigger coastal retailers, but this shop adds a chill, hospitable midwest vibe that takes it up a notch.
Quentin Hays: Cam's shop is the best menswear shop I have had the pleasure of stepping foot in. The selection of fine brands, such as Rogue Territory and Iron heart, in a store that has the best ambiance imaginable. Cam also does excellent denim repairs! I am always finding an excuse to head down to Guevel and look at the new arrivals. If you are in the market for some fine clothing, take a look at Guevel! You'll be glad you did!

Harrison Harmon: Great menswear store with a focus on quality pieces. I've never felt pressured to buy anything, which is a huge bonus when wanting to browse for proper fitting clothes. Selection changes up with the seasons, as companies release their new seasonal items. Cameron also repairs and chainstitches denim, which is a lovely service to have in KC, as opposed to shipping those projects off to other shops.

Kirk Kuykendall: Can’t say enough good things about Michael’s. Had an emergency need for a suit and being 6’ 7” and 260 lbs it’s not always easy to find something. Keith Novorr is the grandson of the founder and he found something that fit my needs perfectly and got it tailored for me in less than 24 hours. Everything about this shop from the location to the ambiance to the clothing selection to the people working there is just perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better group of people, better service, or better quality. This establishment has been in business for almost 120 years and now I know why. The next time I need fine clothing this is where I’ll be going. Highly recommended!

We had several out-of-state groomsmen and one who was even out of country that was able to come in and get the suit tailored to spec the day before the wedding!Beyond the flexibility, their team takes the time to understand what you're looking for and help you find the right options for you.Since my wedding, I have continued to shop at Michael's and they'll certainly have me as a customer for life.
Michael Harre: Used them for a wedding this past weekend. I don’t know that I’ve ever worked with a tux shop that made as many mistakes as these guys. Multiple buttons falling off jackets, giving us all the wrong ties, shirts not measured correctly. I get that mistakes happen but then the fact that they complain about having to fix their own mistakes. If you have other options definitely go elsewhere.

I ended up wanting it a little tighter around the legs after the first go through and they took it back in no problem. The gentleman working the front that helped out with the fitting process was extremely courteous. Great experience, Houndstooth will be the place I recommend for anything suit related.

Maybe the person helping me was that good but he just seemed careless throughout the process of taking measures. Maybe I had high expectations of what getting tailored made clothes should be but certainly expected more attention.Second time around it took a second for people to even acknowledge that we were at the store (on their phone) but even then the demeanor of the people helping was the same.No one built any sort of rapport with the customer at all and it was literally like I was a customer paying a toll in a highway.Onto the next one. Will definitely not be back nor recommend.

Don’t waste your money

Jacob Hastert: One of the worst experiences in men’s wear I have ever had. Ordered a suit and was told it would be 3 weeks by the time it came in. Never came and when I called they said it would be another 3 weeks. This proceeded to happen for another 4 times. NEVER SHOP HERE.
Jared Peterson: These guys were awesome! Got all our suits in a timely manner and the team was great along the way. Bruce even pulled off a Hail Mary for us week of wedding. Had a groomsman back out last minute 7 days before the wedding. We went into Slabotskys Tuesday prior to the wedding on Saturday. Ordered the suit with a 2 day over night rush. Suit showed up Thursday got it fully tailored and picked up Friday for the wedding Saturday with my backup groomsman. Everything about this place was great and they made me wish I wore nicer clothes like this on a more frequent basis. Will definitely be coming back here when I want some nice outfits! Can’t say enough good things.
John Breland: Horrendously poor quality. I bought a sport coat yesterday. The fabric split all the way down the back after the first time I wore it.
Cameron Rogers: Slabotskys is the absolute go to for any suit, clothing, or tailor needs. The team there is an absolute pleasure to work with and incredibly professional, especially Bruce. Bruce is super kind and compassionate and went above and beyond getting me everything I needed for my wedding.To put it into perspective, I paid around $190 for my suit. For a friend's wedding, I had to pay $300 FOR A RENTAL. Not to mention the suit from Slabotskys fit like a DREAM and is good quality.

Shelby Philbrook Mayse: Cannot recommend them enough!!! With their wedding package, your groom & anyone else who needs a suit can get theirs, fully tailored, for and absolutely insane value. The quality was incredible, service was absolutely amazing, and they were true to their word regarding timelines. As a warning, they do not take appointments and weekends get pretty busy. I recommend going during the week! But 1000% recommend for any groom/groomsmen needs!

Two major benefits for me was custom suit for a great price and you get to keep it over big box rental places. Keep it local as these guys will definitely take care of you!

Leah Berg: rented suits/tuxes. They never fit very well and we obviously didn’t get to keep them. I was shocked, and skeptical when I found out there was a local business that offered reasonably priced suits everyone could keep. Throughout our process of acquiring the suits, the staff and owner(s) at Slabotskys treated us as well as I could’ve asked. I always saw the same familiar faces when I came in, and they were always happy to answer my questions. We didn’t need any last-minute alterations or fittings, but they assured me they could make it work if we needed them. They offered two last-minute fittings if we had anyone from out of town, but luckily we didn’t need to take advantage. The suits were very affordable, around $200 for a three-piece suit and shirt, but everything was very high quality. My husband seriously can’t wait to wear his suit the next chance he gets. Everyone looked fantastic in their suits and were shocked they got to keep them. I cannot recommend Bruce and his business enough.

Andrew: Have driven past it a few times and have always wanted to stop in. Glad I finally did. They are an upscale clothier and have a pretty wide selection of great clothes. I do believe they even tailor shirts and pants to your exact measurements. The man who helped us was knowledgeable and wasn't pushy which was very nice. I bought a sweater and some socks and am very pleased. Will be returning to get a couple of shirts and am confident in the quality.
Local KCFoodie: Gerard is amazing. Such a wonderful associate and helped us thoroughly for a Gala we were going to. I highly suggest requesting him next time you go! They have the best selection in Kansas City (outside Halls) for men’s formal wear.
