More recently, we have shifted our work towards Awareness is Healing: Maya Abdominal Massage to address generalized anxiety.Shawna has a gift. She exudes calm and a sense of peace, and offers a non-judgemental space of comfort and support for me to address the needs of my body, mind, and spirit. I feel lighter--physically and mentally--after a session with Shawna, and am able to move and breathe more deeply and freely (in ways I never knew were possible before working with her!). Since our most recent AIH sessions, I have found my ability to rebound from anxieties and speed bumps of life to have improved immensely. Each session brings me closer to a sense of calm, clear-mindedness, and joy. And I can feel my authentic smile and laugh returning! Brandon Cummins: I've been a long time deep tissue massage person - especially as I had some hip injuries and lower back issues, and I can genuinely say that Wendy Pinkerton has been the absolute best deep tissue therapist I've seen. Not just application of pressure, but intuition for other problematic areas, understanding of referred pain points, and subtle stretches and pressure to help relieve additional pain points. Not to mention the space was easily accessible, clean, accommodating, and with no pretension. I'll absolutely be back!!

Her technique gave me more range of motion in my shoulder than I've had in 2 years! She focused on stretching and some of my chronic pain points and seriously reduced much of my pain! She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and all my pregnancy concerns were addressed. She asked if I wanted to rebook on another day and I said I would find somewhere else because I was already dealing with extreme pain.I called massage envy and they got me in within 30 minutes. The staff was amazing and everyone was super friendly!!! Had such a fantastic experience that I got a membership and will be returning monthly.Thank you Back and body works for treating me so poorly that I found somewhere so much better!!! I will never spend another dime with your company.
