Worlds Of Fun Village: what do users think?
Ron Healey: Nice RV parkRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Gary: Spent the day Saturday, June 17 at both locations. 5 rides not operating for whatever reasons, some shut down all day others seemingly random and in rotation. Season pass holders only for the new Zambezi Zinger???? Sketchy maintenance, rotting wood on decks, green algae growing on the soda machines, trash bags piled up at ride entrances, limited food offerings. $7 for a 30 oz soda. You know it only takes .26 cents to make the soda which includes wages, ice, cups, etc.Fairly short lines, grounds/plants are nice and very well kept. The Patriot and Mamba only 2 good reasons to spend the then $40 entrance fee.Not sure what has happened to the park since our visit last year. Turned into the WANNABE amusement park East of the Missouri River at Disney prices, which you are not even in the same universe.
Shannon V: We had two cabins. They were nice and clean. Linens are provided for all the beds, but not the loft. We brought air mattress and blankets for the kids. The pool was really dirty, lots of leaves at the bottom and floating debris.Nearby activities: Nice to stay close to WOFFood & drinks: Pizza Hut delivers directly to your cabin
Mary Slates: The day of our check-in, we arrived after 9 pm and security let us into our cabin. I proceeded into the bedroom with our luggage and my two 4 year old grandsons. My grandsons are at climbing age so it lead me to inspect the bunkbed. I'm glad I did because housekeeping clearly did not clean it after the previous guests. I found a half eaten slice of old pizza on the top bunk post. I called security back and they moved us to a different cabin and said they would report the incident. Either they didn't or they did becauce the office acted all hush hush like nothing happened. I'm sick to my stomach because I keep thinking on what if my grandsons found it before me. I wasn't wanting any money back but an acknowledgement and apology would of been nice from management. They took my phone number and no one called me. Just disappointed at how we were treated. Lead me to believe they actually don't care.

Kendra Nurski: The pictures I found online before our stay do not do this place justice. It was perfect! We won't go to Worlds Of Fun again without staying at a cabin here. Staff was super great as well.Rooms: The loft area is great for kids and the bed in the bedroom was smaller then most places but totally made up for that in comfort.
Becca Shideler: Stayed in the RV, nice paved pads to park the camper on. Staff was very friendly.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jas Moo: Just beautiful had a amazing time.

Campus RV Park: what do users think?
Kate Leonhard: This was an overnight stop for us, we chose the area due to places of interest but unfortunately we came in later than expected. Concrete level sites with full hook up made things easy for us, the sites are quite close together. The facilities were very well maintained and up to date.Side note there are trains passing through at all hours of the day and night, so this needs to be taken into consideration along with the surrounding area which seemed run down.

Doyle Schrader: Off the beaten path. Some train noise. Very clean park. Nothing bad enough not to go back.

J Parzych: I stayed at this park because of its proximity to Kansas City and Independence, It's a clean and well managed park, but is very close to a railroad with trains blowing their horns all night and day.
Pat Schroeder: Great place, quiet, clean restroom & showers.
Patrick Lamb: This campsite is set up for the transient camper. The lots are small and close to one another. They have concrete pad and require little, if any adjustments to make your rig level. Full hookups are provided. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The showers are big and have a lot of room to move around. This site is located near a lot great points of interest making it easy to walk to.

Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City: what do users think?
Thomas Mclaughlin: No food. No food. 👎. Never again 😒. Unbelievable. All advertised restaurants and nothing was open. On a Sunday afternoon. Big big resort casino. And nothing to eat. Had to order grubhub and have it delivered. I will never go back. Big joke.Food & drinks: There isn't any. None. ☹
Cecilia Jones: I haven't been in a long time I was only there for casino fun and it was enjoyable
Angela Cox: I love Ameristar Casino the people that work there are amazing! I always have a great time when I'm there, it is a safe place for a woman to go any time day or night! I win often. This is the only casino I go to in Kansas City! ❤️
Lucy Rodriguez: We were on a road trip, looked for a hotel in Kansas City that was a good price but also nice. Did not expect what we would get booking for about a $100 a night. When we walked in, hotel looked clean and nice.Waited awhile to check in. There was a “ be back in 30 minutes sign”. No one else around either no valet where it appeared there would be and no one in sight that worked there. This would all had been fine if when the employee returned she returned with being polite. However check in associate was very short and rude. There was two people a head of me and she was not helpful. Once it got to me, she was still very short and rude until I asked what her issue was. The employee must have realized she was being rude and changed her tone, it’s not a great feeling to have to remind someone to be kind. Although we all have bad days!If you have kids no pool here but really cool little train areas. Very clean and good hotel we will be back!Rooms: Clean and roomy.
D Merri: Very nice casino. Most restaurants are closed so we went to another location for dinner. No complaints but they need to have more restaurants open during the day.Location: 4/5 …More
Michelle Evans: It was a pretty good experience, just an over night stay, but overall was pretty good. I didn't get a chance to enjoy most things onsite, but a few of my travel mates did get to enjoy the casino. Rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean.Nearby activities: Everything we were set to do was just a short drive for us.Walkability: I didn't see much in walking distance around, but most was a short drive.
Angela Hoff: Clean rooms and the steak house was delicious!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Liz Hicks: Only visited to see a concert. The set up is odd, seats are packed tightly together...also not the best for views of the stage. The seats are folding seats, high grade...but, again, odd venue.
Steve Walch: The casino was clean and the employees were very courteous. The rooms are pretty nice as well.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Kaleigh F.: Cannot speak on rooms because I didn't stay here.I did come to gamble though as I frequent the other "ameristars" as well.I came with $100 and sat down at a BJ table. I hit a Big Side bet bonus (Trilux- Straight Flush) not once but TWICE!!! ... WITHIN an eight (8) hour period! (Taking a lunch Sabbatical).... I left with 2K.Needless to say, it was a good trip and a great first experience with KC Ameristar!Additionally I will add that I WON'T be going to ballys... ever again. Unlike that trashy and downscale environment- I Didn't feel like anyone was going to rob me at Ameristar!! The pit bosses and dealers were friendly and the cashiers too. Thanks!Rooms: They have rooms to stay after you drink.Safety: I felt safe here unlike the other casinos in the area.Walkability: Plenty of walking spaceFood & drinks: Bars, restaurants, cafes/mini stores and Vending machinesNoteworthy details: They have Mississippi Stud here!

Brick Owens: Location, location, location. This campground is in the middle of the KC metropolis. Camp on the west side and you have afternoon shade. Sites slope 3 to 4 inches back to front. Full hookups, but the sewer connection is uphill from the tank. It's pretty much a gravel parking lot with full time resident campers sequestered at the end of the road. We were there 3 weeks and saved gas, money, and time for the location is within 30 minutes of most destinations in KC. I give it a 3 for quality of site but a 5 for location. $65/night
Laura Meyer: Great RV Park location in Kansas City area. Friendly Staff and facility had everything we needed for 3 night stay. We were visiting KC for a Baseball tournament at Creekside Baseball Complex in Parkville with a very easy 22 minute commute. Excellent barbeque restraunts in the area along with ample walking for burning off those yummy calories. Will be back.

Amanda Simpson: We spent two nights at Walnut Grove and enjoyed every minute of it. Staff was so very friendly/helpful. Randy Franklin: I'm staying here now. The park is in the middle of neighborhoods which is great. It's very quiet, the staff are great, the park is clean. I would definitely recommend this park.Nearby activities: Class to downtownWalkability: Close to downtown Shawnee. Lots of places to eat.
John Williams: Very quant.. clean... Super accommodating for all RV needs.. little shop in office has decently priced parts n necessity's. Propane bottles. Shower house is small but very clean and laundry room washers n dryers work pretty good ... Full hookups .. spots are small but definitely doable .. price is totally fair for sure ... Absolutely recommend for RV park In the city . If you're looking for a nature spot this is not for you tho.. 😉Nearby activities: Service is fantastic.. give them a call. They work with you on availability...
Joel Carter: We stayed at Walnut Grove RV Park during a recent cross-country road trip, and we were blown away by the level of service and the quality of the facilities. The park is in a great location, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the amenities were perfect for us.

Jacques Brados: Easy access to local shopping and the highway. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are some tall trees and the dog park is large.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Lisa Adams: We had a wonderful stay at Walnut Grove RV Park. Highly recommended!
Alexa Savka: For starters, Walnut Grove RV Park is in the heart of the KC metro area and so close to the highway, you can be anywhere in under 20 minutes. There's no other RV parks around here with such a convenient location. There is a store on site that sells ice cream, soda, snacks, basic toiletries, RV parts & even cute souvenirs. They also have a nice laundry/shower house and a dog park. The staff goes above and beyond for their guests and treat everyone like they are family. I always feel very safe here and would recommend it to anyone needing a place to park their RV while passing through or staying in town for a few weeks.
Lewis Hill: This RV park is a great choice for anyone passing through. The lots were clean and well taken care of, the staff is friendly and willing to help, and the location is great for getting around downtown.
Ruth Lopez: As an experienced RV traveler, I have stayed at many parks over the years, but Walnut Grove is one of the best. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, the park is clean and well-maintained, and the amenities are top-notch.
Kristina Schmit: There’s not a lot of choices in Kansas City. We stayed a couple nights here while visiting friends but left a day early to boondock in front of our friends house even though we paid for that night. The sites were TIGHT, many full timers living there which always brings down an RV park. We were next to a guy who would warm his truck up to leave for work every AM at 5:45. Because the sites are so close. His truck was literally inches from my sleeping head & I’d wake up. There is a definite disparity in the quality of rigs to the ones in the front to the back. Dog park was small and muddy. One positive was it was a good location.

The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center: what do users think?
Kaylynn Mesher: This place was beyond my expectations. The Skywalk was convenient. The War exhibit was worth the walk up the stairs. Whitney Smith: This is a nice hotel in the heart of KC. Great location for what we needed (attending Boulevardia). Check in took quite a while, and they weren’t sure if our room had a Murphy bed or not. It didn’t, and when we went back to the check in to get a different room, the line was even longer. So, we requested a roll-away bed that was delivered promptly. The phone in the room had been left off the charger, so we weren’t able to call the front desk to request new towels and had to walk back downstairs. It did work once it had charged, though. The main issue was the cockroach that came scuttling across the bathroom the next morning, so I sure hope I didn’t bring any home in my suitcase.
stephanie Anderson: This hotel is in a very central location. We had a very late check in and unfortunately we had some issues with our room. Tammy was amazing and not only found us another room, she kindly upgraded us. What a nice surprise. It really meant a lot to this tired mama. Thanks for a great stay.Walkability: Across the street from the union station, WWI museum, and the cable car. Attached to a mall with shops and food choices.
Luke Freeman: Nice Westin in downtown Kansas City. Easy to access, amble parking, hood rooms and accommodations and helpful staff.Hotel is connected to the Crown Center which provides ample shops and stores that make the stay more inviting and friendly.Easy access to sites adjacent to the area.

Jean Michael: Have stayed here for years.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Gary Ma: Beautiful forested upper lobby. Rooms, however, seems old and a bit worn out. There must be nicer rooms somewhere in the hotel because celebrities such as Finn Wolfhard were staying there when I was there.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Jonathan Westerdale: We stayed for two nights and were splurging because we don’t get out of town for pleasure very often and Westin has a great reputation. Overall, I was far from impressed for what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, I travel a lot for work and I’ve stayed in far nicer 3-star hotels. The amenities that put it over the edge to get to 4 stars (I assume) are the pool, nice lobby area, location, and gym. However, everythingthat actually matters like cleanliness, room design, shower water pressure, the mattress, parking, customer service, and even air conditioning control leave a lot to be desired. In our room were dirty towels and, honestly, few towels. Our counter was dirty and the shower had hair in it. In the bathroom also, the shower design is so odd, not really allowing for full water pressure from either shower head. The windows do not open and I thought there was a balcony, but there’s just a strange railing outside the window for some reason. I’m willing to forgive the bed, but for the price of the hotel (not even including the $25/day parking), I was expecting more. Again, this is supposed to be 4 stars in the center of the city. We woke up sweating bc of the lack of control of the air conditioning control and customer service was not very helpful. On that note, when asked at checkout how our stay was, I stated “fine, but not ideal, if I’m being honest” and the front desk attendant didn’t inquire how to make the stay better for others.I almost forgot to mention the terrible elevator situation. We had to plan out time in our travel time to get down or up the elevator, going down or up could, no joke, be a 10 or 15 minute affair. There weren’t any roaches or anything outrageous, but for the money paid and Westin’s reputation, I’d rather find a boutique hotel or something along those lines that might be closer to the things we actually wanted to see.
Zach Tetuan: Absolutely garbage hotel. I pre-booked the room through a 3rd party site that I use for all my bookings. When I arrived, just like any hotel, I swiped my credit card for incidentals. They proceeded to charge my credit card 4 separate times for a total of $500. For what? I have no idea. I called the front desk and they were no help saying the charges were a mistake but I needed to talk to my credit card company to fix them. So I called and had the charged disputed. It was removed for a month only to be put back on after the hotel apparently responded back to the credit card company saying services were rendered for the charge. They most definitely were not. I pre-paid for the room and paid separately for parking. There was no reason to be charged the additional $500. Now I am in the painful process of responding back and forth with my credit card company. So if you value your money, look elsewhere for a hotel.

cindy finah: This is not a superior hotel. The valet was so nice. The room is the size of a closetDefinitely not a 5 star hotelRooms: Small small smallView of dirty alley, trash.
Nathaniel Kane: Disappointed in my stay. Multiple amenities listed on the website were not available, as well as incorrect hours for the restaurant, as three different closing times were available to see. 24-hour room service advertised, but no room service available. When locked out of the hotel on Friday night, no signage to indicate that the mobile key would not open the door. Had to call the front desk 3 times to get back in and was met with a very rude agent that would not provide me with a physical key because I had "made my choice". Room was fine, only reason I didn't give it 1 star, but it felt like a bait-and-switch from the Marriott website and dealing with the rude front desk clerk on the evening of 5/5.
Katheren Minter: Nice building a friend of ours lives there
Danielle Ogden: Wonderful hotel! Front desk staff was amazing, particularly Vanity. She helped me check in, storing my luggage when my room wasn't ready and then had a stash of a variety of bandaids when I got blisters on my heels from walking around the city in dress shoes. Rooms were gorgeous and handicap accessible!Walkability: About a 5 to 10 minute walk to the convention center. Many walkable restaurants and great downtown area.
Della MIller: This hotel is absolutely luxurious. The front desk staff greet you with incredible smiles and are extremely attentive. The valet staff are also incredible, responsive and their customer service is top notch. The bar and front lobby is breathtaking.I had a King Bed room. What made this experience extra special was the bartender - Ishmael. His passion for mixology, creating his own bitters, paying attention to layers of flavors on drinks and engaging with us at the bar really made this stay extra special and a place I cannot wait to bring my entire work crew. I will absolutely return on my next visit to Kansas City!Nearby activities: Fabulous restaurants, Irish Pubs within walking distance. I went to Bristol for dinner!Walkability: You have to approach this hotel in your vehicle on the correct side of the road, thats the only thing I had to get right each time.Food & drinks: Breakfast was okay, I didnt try dinner.Bar was FABULOUS. Relaxing, romantic, soft jazz playing low lights.Noteworthy details: I stayed in the contemporary side Im dying to find out what the other rooms are like.
Andrew George: really great spot, great atmosphere, rooms were brighter than most autographs. Great staff, valet on point, same with the desk. I do wish that i could give it a 4.75 because my only complaint was that the steak soup had no steak. But i will round up because it was such a nice stay.
Lauren Harak: This is one of our FAVORITE hotels. The staff alone makes the hotel magical. Sheri at the bar is one the sweetest and most talented bartenders we've ever met and her customer service is just out of this world. Staying at the hotel is worth it just to have Sheri make you a drink.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rowe Family: The hotel room was so so. To me the nicest person was actually the valet. As soon as we arrived the valet was very attentive. That's pretty much where the service stopped. We walked in the door immediately. Someone yelled, when I say, yelled, I mean HOLLERED, "Hello, are you a guest here?" I was being profiled. It was like everyone in the lobby turned and looked at us. The worker then left from behind the counter while she was assisting another customer, with a line behind that customer. She left them, and the line, came over to me and my daughter who didn't even get a chance to sit in the lobby chairs and proceeded to ask, Are we a guest here and and further demanded our room number. I mean she loudly interrogated us right in front of everybody when there was a line there that she should have been servicing as opposed to profiling us because I guess she thought we didn't fit the description of the type of guests who normally stay there. The next day no one at the front desk even acknowledged us when we were leaving out to view the city. They were very rude. I will never stay there again. We were in town for a national conference. She not only gave the hotel a bad representation but left the sour, tasted my mouth for visiting Kansas City again.
Karan Sethi: The bar downstairs is very good.
#noelonthemove: Love this hotel! The bedrooms and bathrooms are massive. Very comfortable beds. Love how they give you extra pillows and towels too! The rooms could have better lighting if you are working from the room but otherwise perfect.Gorgeous design and love the mini bar and snacks in the room!
