mindy griffin: My friends and I have eaten lunch at Habashi House almost every Saturday since 2010. The beautiful Maisoon Habashi is always smiling when she takes our order. The food is cooked fresh and is the best Middle Eastern food I have eaten in the city. My favorite is Shawarma Hummus, House Combo with Chicken and Pita Kabob, with a side of their hot sauce.

Lyric DeNoyer: I honestly hate being a hater but I’m still really let down by the service I received. My friends talked this place up SO highly and maybe that’s half the problem but they got my food wrong, weren’t very kind about it, hardly fixed the situation after making me wait FOREVER, and just yeah… the whole situation really turned me off. I’m sure if you eat meat you haven’t had a problem but they’re clearly less than mindful of vegetarians. I personally, would just recommend Jerusalem cafe. This just isn’t worth the disappointment. I won’t be back.Vegetarian options: Hardly. They put chicken all over my food. Just go to the Jerusalem cafe.

Ciera Duban: I always get the falafel wrap and it is always 10/10. Great balance of crispy falafel, fresh tomato, and cool taziki. I recently tried their hummus and pita and it is also great. I forget that a well made hummus tastes 1000x better than what you can get at the store.

There is a falafel place in Paris that I’m obsessed with and I would say this is the closest thing I have found to it. It is a dual restaurant/grocery store. I buy a lot of my tea here and they have a million great items that you either won’t find or will be 2x the price at local grocery. Ross Liberto: First time here. Got hummis, falafel, and kibbeh for appetizers and lamb biryani for an entree. The kibbeh is a MUST. Nice place, not too loud, great for families, kids, groups, very good service and decent food. They don't put sauce on stuff automatically, which is a huge plus, and their sauces are awesome. But most of their meat needs that sauce. By themselves, ribs and brisket we're ok, pulled pork meh, turkey was awesome and i normally don't like turkey. The coleslaw is too sweet, Mac and other sides are fantastic. No decent pilsner lager! Excellent brownie with ice cream. Safe pick to take that family for celebration or when they're not adventurous at all, or that business party you don't know well. For plain bbq there are better choices nearby.

So I have to share this review of Cafe Jerusalem.We have been going there for their special service to the community of Kansas City and the rest of the world since we were young. I remember when my brother would always get a huge pita at the food court in Oak Park Mall. Fast forward years later. It's Christmas. We're in Kansas City with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. We find out the original location in Westport is the place they were praising all these years. We had fun 😊 And we got full.My brother and their son have been like brothers from different mothers, so it came as no surprise to anyone when they tucked into pitas together 😁 My sister and their daughters all shared baklava and halvah. Me, I did what I always do: I made the waitress run back and forth as I sucked down the mint tea. Best of all, my dad was so thrilled with the place, he said it got him ready for his next trip to Israel ☺️Keep doing what you're doing. You guys help people make memories. I'm serious. Pet Pals KC: We love to drop in and grab the pita pockets!! They’re an incredible version of a homemade Hot Pocket and we are obsessed!! We grab a couple at once and take them home to eat during the week. Sooo so good!! Everything else is super fun and they have an amazing selection of spices!
