The Blue Room: what do users think?
Gwyneth Bowen: First time visiting The Blue Room for a show. This happened to be the 5 o'clock Friday night free jazz show. It was a real treat seeing (hearing) Lady D and her band! Great ambience, a wonderful mix of people in a really welcoming space. Had previously visited the museum, a "don't miss!" and was just as thrilled with this experience. Highly recommend!
Le Wilson: They only need foodService: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Steve Yaney: Amazing jazz club! Here for Friday Indigo! Great vibes!
Francisco Cerrito: I rarely review places unless they're outstanding and this venue is fantastic. If you found this review somehow, please do yourself a favor and come visit The Blue Room. If it hadn't been for my friend vouching for this place I wouldn't have ever gone and I wouldn't know what I was missing out on. The music is outstanding, the staff is phenomenal and the overall atmosphere is welcoming to new people and so positive. I want to come back even if it's out of my way just to experience what I did tonight again.

Jel Mo: I cannot give the music and hospitality of 4/28/23 off my mind. I haven't been to a Jazz Venue in some time, and the Music had me crying inside over Why I ever left. The richness of the trio playing was absolutely transporting! I'm horrible with names, but I caught one singer's name, Chloe. Terrific. A while later a quartet played that was a total joy, especially in watching the good time that Trent (I think) had, playing that trumpet. The music - great, the house - great, and the people - Great! I WILL BE BACK to the Blue Room!
Rev. Ted: Over the top.... great venue
Jaime Enrique Espinosa Galvis: Excellent and cozy place
annette nance: Great jazz
Phyllis Saphra: Fun evening with great jazz players. Woman bartender was rude though.
Clark Parry: Great music!
Jon Tom: Stopped in for some live music after the symphony and was not disappointed.
Chrystal Warburton: Nice chill place, great music
Charlene Adams: Loved hearing Jazzy Jazz on her amazing flute . Parking was great and well lighted parking lot..
Tina Olvera: Waitress asked us to get our own drinks so I stood in line only for her to take my money get the beer from the bartender hand to me and never gave me my change her nightly tip i suppose but in all the music a 10
Mara Jade: Good music and kid friendly
M Harper: Always great!

Katie Marinan: The jazz was amazing. Bartender so helpful. Such a large selection of liquor, everyone would be pleased. I am from KC and just heard about this place recently, will definitely be back! Also loved the live jazz music all night, incredible.Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bonnie House: This great little hole in the wall is larger than it might seem from the almost unidentifiable entrance. We went for a special evening with Max Haverfield & Friends. The cabaret style vocals were mixed with a little CW, with great backup by a string bass, wonderful piano, and percussion. Not to be missed is the wonderful cocktail service and steady attention from our server. I appreciated the diversity of the clientele and will definitely visit again.
Matthew Kube: Great Jazz, great drinks, unique selections of mules and mocktails.
Corey Houston: Nice intimate jazz club. It's smaller than the Green Lady Lounge but has the same great music and similar drinks and crowd.
Arla Jones: Great jazz in a great venue! @kimyarla
Kemi Ageh: John is the best Bartender/owner/janitor or whatever in Kansas City. Came in after the Chiefs Parade and had a delicious Moscow Mule😁 Highly recommend this cozy jazz spot! I will be back soon ❤
Rick Sams: Great drinks! Great music! Great time!
SA Berry: Located next to the Green Lady Lounge, I decided to pop over to check out the Black Dolphin. The place was semi-packed and I was able to find a seat close to the stage. Beautiful setup - this place is really decadent. Unfortunately there was one waitress for the entire place and I wasn't greeted until about 15 minutes into being there. The waitress kindly apologized but it wasn't her fault - the place is understaffed. This place needs at least two or three waitresses to serve their patrons. I ordered a drink, but after waiting for another 15 minutes and not getting my drink, I decided to leave (I did leave a nice tip.) This place is really pretty and I wish I got to listen to the music, but I didn't feel like waiting too long to be served.
KCSTEVE: Hands down one of the best places in Kansas City to relax and listen to some amazing music. Can't say enough... If you've never been, you're missing out on some of the best Kansas City has to offer.
James Hazzard: A true jazz club. Which is neat.
Jim Asbille: Great music and the staff was awesome. The decor is really beautiful.
Julie Buchanan: Lovely ambiance, reasonable prices
tara hoffmann: Classy chill ambiance, had a creamed mango mocktail that was really delish! Band was totally cool!
Anne Trinkl: Love this place!!!
Jody Horn: Great venue, fine music--grumpy bartender. (Saturday night)
frederick P: This was our first time in KC and the first place in the evening we went to check out. It didn't not let us down at all. The host at the the door was pleasant. The atmosphere was perfect for either a date or just to hang out with friends. They had more than enough options as far as cocktail to choose from as you enjoy the great music being played.
Devan Bleyhl: Nice music, good drinks.
melinda griffith: Music was so good, drinks were spot on and delicious! Nice, relaxing evening.
Ben Griffith: 1st time visitor to the Black Dolphin. Great venue with a wonderful vibe. Outstanding wait staff.Tim Whitmer Quartet was playing. The best jazz Quartet in Kansas City. Perfect combination of great jazz in the great setting.
Rich Hiner: Everything a jazz lounge should be and a jewel in Kansas City's crown.
Tyrone Tate D.C: A very nice spot The bartender wasn't on point and lite on wait staff but if you wanna escape the heat and take in some live music.

Ellyn Hunter: Wow!! Thanks TikTok. I haven’t been in here for prob 12 years and damn, it has changed! For the better! What a fun vibe. Very reminiscent of Green Lady Lounge, but with a club vibe. Which, makes sense, it has the same owners! We came in early because we wanted to check it out before a concert crowd (if it gets one), and Emmett is welcoming, kind, and gave us a bit of history about the place. There is a great happy hour, disco tunes, and it’s just really cool in here.We will be back, and plan to spread the word!
Luke Kohl: Amazing spot. A real hidden gem in KC.Emmett is a rock star!!
Dane Danbury: Had so much fun dancing the night away. Bartender was awesome and we had such a good time.
Asia: Wow, wow, wow!I came here with a group of friends after a night of eating, ax throwing and running around PNL and we were not disappointed upon coming in. The red lights really set the mood! I loved the candles and my favorite part was the disco ball. How can you NOT love a disco ball? The ambiance was perfect for us. Two of my friends coincidentally wore bell bottoms so this was destined! Lol We had the entire dance floor to ourselves. The owner was so cool as well. I’d been craving an Amaretto sour for the last few days so I asked him to make me one and it was DELICIOUS so I had to have another. I’ve never had one like that before. I have to say…this just might be my new spot and it was a great place to end our night. I plan to bring my friends back here again and maybe even my man.If you’re reading this haven’t been here…GO! It’s so lowkey and lit at the same time. Just go! ❤️
Tjay Conway: I stumbled upon this place. Junes has such a laid back atmosphere! Super chill, great music, excellent staff.
Nina Klopfenstine: Haunted! Saw a super bright light floating on its own upstairs
Bobby B: Great Place! Emmitt was mixing up some magic with his bartending skills! Cool place to hangout after a show at the Uptown!
Matthew Baldwin: I am in love with the bartender at this club.
John McCullough: EXCELLENT Place!!! casual and pricess are reasonable no over priced drinks. It remind of the movie "What women want" and the jazz bar scene Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. 😁👍👍👍
Shawn Sanem: Great joint, great drinks, great service. Dark and moody like a (jazz) bar should be.

Talya and The Boyfriends actually know jazz like the back of their hands. Get here, you need this place.
Shere-Ling Kraus-Yao: Great music vocally and instrumentally, Of course friendly host and servers! The Majestic people directed me here a few min ago.
Jennifer Fink: The Phoenix didn’t disappoint! Local artist Nikki White who appears most Thursdays is a treat and provides great entertainment. Highly recommend.
Holy Ghost glitter: Music was great! So small paid 5 bucks to get in so we could eat, but no table. Glad they gave me money back. Because of that I will go back to try the food that was highly rated by a friend!
ARNY STIEBER: Great place!! Happy hour 4-6. Live music. Very good food - upscale bar food, but excellent quality. Friendly and efficient staff. Very comfortable.
Gina Ross: This place is really nice. It’s been around since the 80’s The entertainment is really good. They have an affordable happy hour. The food is good and Saturday brunch is good. Try it out and you’ll like it.

j a: Went there Thurs night to go see Nikki playing. Got there it was myself ,wife and 5 month old.nikki like us and waitress did also. was good until around 9.another employee I think came over and told us we had to leave since did not allow younger in there after 9. So give us things so we could take are food to go.had to ask waitress for ticket since she was unaware. Would have been nice to know from get go.that way wouldn't have gotten to kozy being there and wouldn't have my meal interrupted. Would have avoid the whole place.hopefully it was the truth and not malarkey because of and individual try to go above and beyond. Which was weird since not much people were there. Was trying to support local yet will not go there for a while.will just have to catch Nikki playing at another location for now on
LS Tours: THIS is the place to go for LIVE MUSIC and GREAT FOOD on a weeknight! We visited on a Tuesday and were blessed with hearing the piano talents of Walt and the singing abilities of Talya, who can really belt it out with the best of them! What a great vibe, a welcoming atmosphere and even unexpected back up singers from the crowd! What an unexpected treat!
Michelle Givens: Had my daughter's engagement going away party back to Australia on Sunday and had their brunch it was amazing! The service was outstanding the music was divine and the atmosphere was just energetic definitely have to try this place out
Casey Kline: Took my wife (recently married) out for a first date night as a married couple, we stayed at 21c Museum Hotel and decided to go to the Phoenix and it did not disappoint! The music was fantastic, the energy was pure, cozy welcoming. We had the cajun pasta, it was absolutely delicious, hands down the best i have had in Kansas City. My wife is a big foodie and she rated the pasta 10/10 as i would've rated it 11/10. We fell in love with this bar and will for sure, be back! Thank you for giving us a bar to remember. Also, no pictures taken of the food because it was soooo good i didnt even think to take a picture. Next time!
Lillian Anderson: Me and my date was looking for a place to bring in the New Year. We pulled and asked a few people standing out, how much to get in. We were told $65.00. I think that's highway robbery, just because it's New Years Eve. I normally go and it's free or 5-10.00 per person to get in. 65.00 for hats and noise makers ??? Really??
Michael: This place is special! Wednesday night jam session is so good!!!
Andre Blackburn: Nice Laid back spot 👌 excellent Vibes!!!!!
Invisibly Insane: Great food and live entertainment 🎶!❤️
Curtis Warren: Great food and vibe. The wait was long but understandable.

Brianna Raakman: This place is extremely dark. I could not even tell when I entered which tables were free because it was so dark. They only had QR code menus and it was too dark for my phone to scan it. The layout of the space was not great because the band is right at the entrance so only a couple tables can see the band the rest are too far away. Yes the live music is nice but the aesthetic of the room was not my style and it made it difficult for me to stay and enjoy it.

I loved listening to the original compositions by talented local musicians on both stages. The Green Lady Lounge is a gem for jazz lovers and anyone looking for a relaxing night out. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was fast and courteous. The lounge also has a great selection of snacks and appetizers to enjoy while listening to the music. I highly recommend it and I can't wait to go back! 🎷

Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland: what do users think?
Josh Phillips: Beautiful interior. Saw Taylor Tomlinson here and had a great experience. Just not a lot of leg room but other than that loved the venue!
Joe Arredondo: You know why
Jonathan Davis: Great venue for any show!
Christine Monday: Beautiful venue.Great entertainment, Taylor Tomlinson.$14 canned cocktail.Only one stall to pay and exit garage, very, very slow.
Mason Phillips: Larger than I expected from online photos. Seats were cushioned fold up chairs.
Jalie Misenhelter: This venue is amazing and extremely accommodating! I was on crutches due to an injury and not only did they swap out my seats for easier access at no extra charge, but they saw me struggling outside the entrance and offered me a wheelchair to easier exchange my tickets and get inside the venue. The staff is very kind and helpful!
Joe S: VIP lounge service was poor this evening. Not the atmosphere that is usually portrayed.
Andrew Stuehmer: Super unique concert venue! Love the vibes
EzDeth: Best venue in KC. Been there many times and it never disappoints.
Mckenzie Bean: Great historic venue, my friends and I had a blast
Heather Simnitt: Beautiful, historical venue with great views from the floor and balcony.
Oscar Viezcas: Just Horrible. I cam for a sold out concert we were on the 5th floor by the chandelier bar. It could easily hold 8 bar tenders. Instead they had just 1 bar tender cover the top 3 floors. Just Horrible. For how fancy this place is supposed to be just not right
Jenni Busenitz: This theatre is absolutely stunning!
Taylor Bernt: Cool venue
Jared Millsap: This place is gorgeous, but the AC was broke or inadequate and the show I was their for was miserable. I almost left halfway through the show. The previous time I had been at the venue it was great and didn't experience the same issue. The other thing that was disappointing is that the VIP lounge closed halfway through the show and the VIP ticket I paid for was based on getting "free water" and private bathroom access which was no longer available once the VIP lounge closed. They really need to make that clear when you are buying tickets.
Candace Ross: Well they don’t have the seats or rows numbered. If you have to go back to your seat. The ushered are gone and you are just standing there looking stupid. That’s the only thing I didn’t like. The seats are so small. No space at all. I probably won’t do another concert here. It’s been years since I’ve been. I like the traditional look but they need a better system
Stacy Fine: Was exceptionally small and old. It definitely needs an update. It is unique and historical and has some beautiful ceilings and has that opera theatre feel. I worked there for the Theory of the Deadman concert.
Jon Clemmons: Really nice venue beautiful interior
Bec Mc: This place is gorgeous. The acoustics are fantastic for a concert. Seating is great. I cannot wait to attend more events there. The staff are absolutely amazing!
Valerie H: Beautiful venue, not a bad seat in the house. We were here for a comedian this time but have been here for many different types of events from plays to musicals, operas, ballet, concerts, it's a great venue for everything! The elegant interior is reminiscent of the fancy theater experience of years gone by. I would always be willing to see any event happening here, it is just fabulous!
Laura Rey: Venue itself is great for concerts. May great standing spots around to be able to see the stage. The biggest downfall and reason for my stars, the women’s bathrooms are HORRIBLE! Stalls with no doors, many of them. Toilets with no seats. No toilet paper in some. Toilets that don’t flush, including one that I went to. You don’t think to check if the toilet flushes. And no soap in the dispensers.

Majestic: what do users think?
Kat S.: I think this is my new favorite steak place in KC, at least so far! Came up for Christmas, everyone was so friendly, everything we ordered was amazing (we all tried a bit of each other's food and liked theirs too lol). It was a good amount of food, and even the desserts were good. Wonderful experience. You could also tell a lot of the clientele in there were regulars, very casual, like they knew they found their little spot and had been here many times.Super recommend for a romantic or just nice evening!

Texas Roadhouse :/ Not sure if kitchen has seen a change in staff or what but I would not recommend this as a ‘must visit’ to anyone. If you want a proper filet go to Le Fou Frog
Todd Peters: Do yourself a favor and go to the cigar bar above. GREAT service, GREAT drinks, GREAT dinner. Ask about a dinner upstairs with the waiver of the club membership... Sean Pridgeon: We went to have dinner with friends in the jazz club. We had a great experience at the main bar and cigar club, but our waiter in the jazz lounge was smug and condescending. He spent as little amount of time as possible at our table, drug his tie through our food while serving it, spilled cocktails on my friends, and made smug remarks while at the table. It’s a shame that one person can be so far off the standard of the rest of the staff.
