They will never answer the phone they LIED and said they will have it sent over to Walgreens and it's LATER THE SAME DAY AND NOTHING! The woman says they're short staffed with 10 people behind the counters. She then went on to tell us they don't know how to answer the phone! DISGRACEFUL! We will be looking at a lawsuit as my father needs his medication and they're HOLDING IT HOSTAGE! RUN FROM THIS CVS! Not to mention when we finally showed irritation the black girl at the front who was very much ready to clock out in our faces walks away mid issue. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN AND GIVE US OUR MEDICINE!

She helped me find the generic of the medication at another location so that I could self pay while waiting for insurance to get worked out and even called me the next day to let me know that it all got figured out. Thank you for being so patient and helping me get what I needed for my son.

This Isme: Called to check on a prescription and we’re told to come pick it up 5 mins later we got here to pick up my husband’s meds for his septic infection and they closed the window. Closed the whole store two hours before they were supposed to. They can’t seem to hire anyone to do their jobs correctly. It’s not a holiday it’s just your typical monday, with your typical lazy workers.

Roaming Tigress: June 2023 update ~ Since my last review cvs has made many changes. They got rid of Daniel & brought in a younger more competent, FRIENDLY, & more helpful pharmacist. The entire cvs pharmacy staff for that matter is always kind & quick to help! They all seem to have a great camaraderie.The main frustration I still have & I hope the corporate office will pay attention to this….are the self checkout machines. Mainly at this location. If you are using the self checkout, it’s not always as quick as one may think. If you purchase something lightweight such as lashes, and out it in a sack or on the scale, the machine won’t detect it as ‘bagged’. You have to wait for it to get over that then scan your next item.If the next item is also lightweight the machine will offer you to push ‘using your own bag’, again. Problem is, if you push that more than a couple times or if you place your items over there push on it or just wait for it to allow you to scan again, the light will go off. Please wait for assistance 😒If the cashier is available your help is immediate. If not, you should’ve just got in line. Beyond aggravating. Also if you use coupons, please wait for assistance. How are these really self help, if we need to get help? 🧐🤔CVS please make these machines more practical and take into consideration the issues above. It would actually help the lines go faster when something (customers can’t control) actually slows down the process. Or dedicate a worker , not the cashier, to help those using the machines do it can go swiftly with less wait time.Idk if this is one of the locations closing but…this bldg could use a makeover outside. Paint it, fix the letters & make it look appealing! Just because it’s in Raytown doesn’t mean it has to look like garbage 😊 I DO think they do a great job inside with displays, having new items, & the store cleanliness. Whomever is the new manager seems to be doing a great job with who they are hiring. While I miss seeing the former employees it’s nice getting to know the current ones. Or seeing familiar faces that seem to stick around.HELP THR PHARMACIST Daniel!!!! Every time I come up there it is just him. The phone is ringing or on hold, the drive through is like rush hour…packed with cars not moving, the line inside is a little better when he isn’t having to give Covid shots on top of everything else.When Stacey worked there I looked forward to coming in and chatting with her as well as several of the employees. Now the front of three store is all néw people who aren’t the most helpful except two or three. I will get their names as they deserve Recognition!!Please get help for the pharmacy in the evening! Answer the phone or hv someone just to do that. give Mr Lam a raise and a break for putting up with this disaster of a pharmacy.Oh and please upgrade the building lights and parking lot. Last time I went to my car I found a rib that someone had half eaten. That’s just nasty!

If you like these deals in exchange for using you for marketing, they are available at any CVS store. My review here is for this CVS store in particular.CVS, like all business, is in a terrible position: it is desperately hard to find competent people with proper attitudes (polite, friendly, respectful, service-oriented). Maybe the management has tried for weeks to get the snarky young guy at this store to be a professional without success, and they can't find any anyone else who is even willing to hold a regular job there. Who knows. The culture is collapsing, so this is all the more common nowadays.
Nikki: Tried calling the pharmacy to find out status of prescription. On hold for 20 minutes. Used a friend phone to call the main line to see if pharmacy is open and they stated yes and they answer calls in order received. Still on hold 48 minutes later.

Just wish there were Price tags-shelf Sale signage like ANYWHERE at this location.LOVE CVS-BUT this is my least favorite location to go to for ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE which is unfortunate since it's only a 1/2 mile from my house! The shelves are never stocked, remaining product is never visibly priced, I've only seen the store manager come out of her side door office maybe twice-the front end cashier is the only available or employee in sight EVER when you need assistance. And forget about the pharmacy-they seem to work only banker hours and never less than a 6hr to 1 DAY WAIT on any prescription refills.

Mark Lyon: The store has always been more customer friendly than any of the others. We tried the one on the corner of Lee's summit and 23rd. That would be the East 23rd Street store and it was terrible way overcrowded. People are so overworked, they're angry. Especially one of the older women who works the window at the drive-in. I think she needs a vacation. It's for that reason that we went back to the West 23rd CVS location and from what I hear now CVS is thinking of closing that one down. From what I understand it's because they want to get these giant health hubs now instead of the old customer friendly drugstore where you can pick up prescriptions with a smile. Does CVS closest this location down you're losing one of the best locations ever for customer service. Kudos to the entire staff who works there. I hope you're not next on The chopping block....

Mark Willis: Tested positive for covid, but needed a decongestant. Called to ask if I could come through drive thru and get over the counter decongestant. After being on hold for several minutes, the phone started ringing...and ringing... and ringing. It rang over 40 times. Finally someone picked up and promptly hung up. So I called back, again on hold for several minutes, while a recording told me how busy they were. Finally someone picked up...and hung up before I could say anything. Truly craptastic customer service and a real sense of screw-the-customer going on here. Wouldn't go here if my life depended on it. Go anywhere else.

Tony Restivo (Tony2timez): Place is filthy. Can't use the pharmacy drive thru ever because the ancient telephone you have to use just to speak to them on the other side of the glass is broke (for quite some time now). Always so many people waiting because the service is extremely slow.
Peter Yang: The pharmacy here use to have pleasant customer service but the past few months, it took a huge dip. Went to pick up some meds for my husband and before paying, I told the tech that he recently got new insurance and is under my plan now. I presented them my card and she was gonna check. A few minutes later, another tech comes up full force and attitude and told me my husband does NOT have coverage through mine and it’s saying not valid. She also wanted to know what he was under mine - either dependent or spouse. I told her yes, he is covered under mine because I know he is and I checked prior. I presented the tech his card and I told her maybe it’s because his ID# ends in 2 and mine is 1. And she pouts and storms off to the back. A few moments later, my original tech comes back and tells me my updated total after insurance. Nobody apologized to me for the pharmacy tech’s attitude nor for coming full force on me and making me look like a clown for her mistake. I get being a tech isn’t easy and I’m also in the PBM field, you get the full force of people’s attitude but you don’t know me and I don’t know you. Do not take out your frustration that someone gave to you to me. Plus you made a mistake. Apologize, own it and take it as a learning opportunity to do better for the next customer. Also, my cashier was in a tshirt and shorts. When did pharmacy techs start dressing super casual?

BigPapa: I don’t know what happened, my CVS store has always treated me extremely well, and I guess I got spoiled. It would appear all it takes to lose your place in the family is one or two staffing changes. I always felt like I was treated like family. They knew me by my first name and appeared to care about my needs, from my first time walking into the store. Last few months haven’t been the same. There is a complete loss of empathy and it was very apparent today when I took my father to get his prescriptions filled following getting a cancer diagnosis. If they hadn’t been so worried about what they were doing for lunch for the 1.5 hrs before lunch, as we stood and waited our turn, they might have had a chance to get them ready. I’ve been a loyal CVS customer for years. I have just been floored as of late, sorely disappointed. Hopefully they find a way to return to the family atmosphere I, and I’m sure others, were used to.

I mean, good on them that they try their butts off, and it must be hard to try to keep up with everybody's meds all the time so props to them for that, but they were about to send me away without my depression meds OR a reasonable solution. After I left, I thought about solutions they should have had the patience to go over with me which are:Let me buy out of pocket just a few of my prescription to get me by until Medicaid would pay for it.2. Offer to let me buy them, but also help me to get them at a cheaper price via GoodRx or similar.This was the problem at hand: Medicaid said on the 10th they would not pay for my meds till the 12th. It was going to be tight, but if I got there early enough on the 12th I would have been ok. Fast forward to the 12th, now they tell me Medicaid won't pay for them till the 15th. Why? What happened between the 10th and the 12th that this is a thing AGAIN? Ok it's not CVS's problem, I get it. It's not them telling me I can't have them, sobeit. BUT a reasonable solution wouldn't have been the worst thing. Especially with someone who NEEDS their depression meds. Instead, he tells me I can go somewhere else to get them.

Amy Shilhanek: The pharmacy is the best!! One of my medications was going to be $67 for three months, the pharmacist found it for $27 for 3 months and the total for 9 medications was then $47, cheaper than the one medication!!! Thanks!!! I went to pay and had the wrong card. Corey let me take my medicine home and call him the next day with my card number. I have NEVER had that happen. He was fantastic! Price Chopper is my new pharmacy!!! Thanks Corey!!!
Alicia Whitaker: I went to.pick up several prescriptions for my Dad on Saturday. He had told me they closed at 7pm. When I arrived right at 5pm the pharmacist was putting the lock bar in place on the door to the pharmacy. I asked him what time they closed and he said 5pm. I told him I was told 7pm. He immediately said no problem and proceeded to open back up to take care of me. That is true customer service. He knew who my father was. This is why smaller pharmacies deserve our business. The familiarity with their customers and their customer service skills. I'm glad my Dad has a pharmacy staff that knows and cares about him like they do at the Price Chopper at 85th and Wornall.
