Big Dude's Music City: what do users think?
Crazy John Brooks: One of Kansas City's LIVE MUSIC LEGACIES for sure!I have personally relied upon them for SO MUCH over the decades.Top-of-the-line instrumentation, stage equipment, live show back-line, hard-to-find components, stage hand and tutor referrals, home audio config. and a host of other oddities! They are very well staffed with kind knowledgeable professionals.Hats off to Big Dude's for Keepin' it Real here in KC for so many years! One of the coolest indoor retail locations around, also. Thanks again, y'all!Kindly,Crazy John Brooks12x World Frisbee ChampionCo-Founder Wakarusa Music & Camping FestivalKC Spiritfest Site Mgr/Emcee 1994-2003Disc Golf Hall of Fame 2009"Another Satisfied Customer"
Groove Pilot: Last month I was looking for a good double-kick pedal option. I called Big Dude's and it went clear off the charts silliness after Larry told me about the 50th anniversary DW 5000 carbon fiber DK.Um, yes please!Of course we talked shop, and I hollered at the "usual suspects, he also queued me in on some other great additions to my drums and away I went. Incredible! Thanks, Larry. You melted my face off that day. Also, thank you Big Dude's for having cool lighting rental, etc...(we used for a video recently)Top notch as always!👊-Brandon
Jeff Panaka: Came here after some business in the city. They had a nice selection of bass guitars and bass amps here which was great. They had a PRS Bass which I’ve never seen before. It was great to play. Unfortunately, I didn’t have space in my checkin to fit a bass so I had to settle with a t-shirt. Staff was real friendly too. 5/5
Owen Sidwell: Great spot! Amazing selection, and very friendly staff. Next time I'm in KC I'll be back!
Merle Goldston Jr: This store is a big part of our community.. I wish they had more used gear and high end choices. But a must stop from time to time..
Char Rellz: Went to get a new guitar amp. Didn't get the one I originally planned on. And that's more than ok. Talked to a couple associates while checking out amps, and was directed to one the was actually perfect for me. Spent more than I planned, but the buy was totally worth it. Amazing products and wonderful customer service.
Andre Peterson (DJ Dre 1800): What a great experience working with Larry at Big Dude’s Music City!! He was incredibly responsive and asked my questions regarding a tough to get product and even made arrangements to ship it!! So excited and it has been a 5 star service! Thanks Larry!
RED BOI: I took my guitar in to get repaired and they immediately got to work and fix the issue great staff and a great selection super helpful
Connie Carcione: They are very helpful. Great place.
Eric Nelis: Every time I go to Big Dude’s the people working there are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and take time to explain in details. This is the best service I have experienced in such type of store.
Connie Graham: They lied, and did not repair my bass guitar. So embarrassing Sunday morning. Couldn't use the cord i purchased either. 😬
Doug Groninger: An associate named Doug helped me Saturday...very knowledgeable and extremely professional...I continue to look at Big Dude's as One of the top choices to look in the area for music equipment
Mike McCoy: Son was looking for a new guitar pedal, we love Big Dudes, so we made the almost 2 hour trip to see what they had. Cool atmosphere, helpful people working there, all around good experience every time. Son found a reverb pedal and is happy.
Jayce Ingham: Some of the sickest merchandise I've ever seen
Matt Lough: Larry was awesome and not only help me with the product information, but he was able to quickly get the gear shipped out for me. Awesome Service!! Thanks!
82GMC Caballero: Today I picked up the second acoustic guitar I brought in within the past year for a set up and restring. Excellent customer service and exceptional luthier! Thank you very much, Big Dude’s!
Karly Espinoza: Estoy buscando el Korg pa 700 ? Estará disponible en su tienda ?
Russell Conner: Had a great experience with their team yesterday. Very insightful answers to my many questions for microphone types and how to best use it with our band’s PA system. Thanks to the team, and I’m glad to have a music equipment store so full of solutions in KC!
Derek Whitney: Great place.....
Butch Zwiezen: I went in today... bought a 1.45 new Saddle for my Acoustic guitar.. Felt badly.. for that purchase..so . Bought a 10.00 glass slide. EVERYONE IS SO HAPPY 😁 AND HELPFUL .
Alex Marquez: Very quick response. Definitely recommend.

Brookside Guitars: what do users think?
Marlon Anderson: Hours on website show open at 12pm on Fridays, google shows open 1pm. Waited until 130pm nobody showed up or answered phone. Drove from the other side of town on a long lunch break after this place was recommended by a friend.
Troy Cummings: Great lesson studio, nice selection of fine guitars, wonderful owner. My kid takes jazz lessons here. And we’ve bought a wonderful amp here. 5 stars.
Eduardo T: Went there to buy strings but they close 10 minutes earlier I EO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!
Beth Kapp: My daughter loves piano lessons with Miss Alyssa and has learned a lot!
Randy Hicks: Not nice to drive to a location that shows to be open on google, only to arrive and find a sign in the window that says appts only.
Jake Dunz: Shopping is by appointment only!Drove up here a couple hours before close, sign on the door informed me that shopping is only by appointment due to covid and no one answered the phone. Posting for visibility.
Jack Rouse: Great place. Worked with the owner Ryan Wurtz for several years before going to college. I learned more than I ever could have imagined. They also have a wealth of instruments and equipment available.
Juliet Hawley: I’ve been taking violin lessons with Adam for over a year- Adam is an expert musically- he has a gift for guiding his students in areas of their strengths; and at the same time challenging them to be strong in the fundamentals. Great teacher, great experience- and speaking from the perspective of an Adult learner, finding the right studio and the right teacher has made all the difference.
Alan Vila: I'm and adult player, been taking guitar lesson for over a year with Ian, and it's been great. Learned and keep learning tons.
MosesTheXiled1: Ben's an awesome guy. Only met him once and I feel like I've always known him. We know some of the same local musicians.
Mike A: Ryan is a master teacher, my son’s progress and enjoyment of playing is a testament to his instruction.
Whitney Dunn: I’ve been taking lessons at Brookside Guitars with Sophia for over a year now and this place is phenomenal. I have learned so much in my lessons and feel like they are really customized to my personal goals with guitar. Sophia is an amazing instructor and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn a new musical instrument or improve their current skill set. While I’ve only taken lessons with Sophia, I’ve also met some of the other instructors and they have all been so nice and welcoming. Ryan has been great in helping me fix and improve my guitar. These lessons are amazing and I highly recommend Brookside Guitars.
Klayton Simmons: I’ve been taking lessons from Ryan for a year now, and I am slowly but surely becoming a master guitar player! 😀I had zero guitar playing experience before coming to BKS Guitars.Ryan’s teaching style is perfect for beginners because of his ability to communicate the fundamentals while offering encouragement to improve, which is critical at the beginning stages. He is a talented musician and teacher. I wish I would have started much much sooner!
james riehl: Been in a few times now and have experienced nothing but a wealth of knowledge from kind people. Will be back often.
Hammond Family: Our daughter takes guitar lessons with Sophia. She’s been great. Knowledgeable and patient and our daughter has learned a lot from her. Very helpful and friendly staff. Much more the environment that appeals to our teen daughter than her previous place.Although I see students of all ages here.
Grace Parkerson: Fantastic guitar shop with great teachers! I've been taking lessons with Ryan for over a year - lessons are super fun and relaxed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new instrument or instructor
Jared White: Great shop with knowledgeable staff. Ryan is an excellent guitar teacher and lessons are laid back and fun. I also bought a guitar from the shop for a great price - better than online dealers plus the added benefit of knowledgeable advice on what to look for. Highly recommended for lessons or purchase of instruments!
jordan roberts: Amazing place! If I could give it more than five stars I would
Stacy Kearney: My daughter has been taking ukulele lessons with Ryan for 2 1/2 years and he is the perfect teacher for her. His laid-back and encouraging style works well for our family. The shop is inviting and the ukulele we purchased is a great instrument. When there were problems with the supplier sending the incorrect bags, Ryan stayed on top of things until we had the correct one.
Josh Rowland: Ryan is building an amazing guitar store and community in Brookside. The new electric guitars he’s stocking from Reverend and D’Angelico are so cool— great to finally have these in KC. We need strong boutique guitar stores in KC, and BKS is stepping up. I have been taking lessons from Ryan for a while and I appreciate his patience, and his encouragement.
Anthony DeWilde: I’ve been with Ryan at Brookside Guitars for 3+ years. I love taking guitar lessons there. He is very knowledgeable about all kinds of playing styles (from country to rock, soul to jazz). Laid back style and fun to learn. A wonderful guitar shop in the heart of Brookside!

Seuf Guitars: what do users think?
Willie Devine: Great people
Mlke Vande: Getting some work done on a couple of guitars. Expensive but hopefully worth it.
Joshua Bethuram: Phenomenal guitars and good dudes run this place.
Noah Armstrong: Purchased a guitar from Seüf Guitars over two years ago and I have never looked back. Best quality instrument I've had the pleasure of owning. I've traded guitars left and right, but would never think to sell my Seüf Old Hand.
russell niccum: great place for guitar fanatics!
J handle: After finding this shop I've stopped in several times just to see how these guitar artisans were doing, gave them an old damaged Harmony blues ax for them to rebuild, and was disappointed to see the shop closed.I hope they found another place to set up shop. A couple of good young guys that the local guitar community needs.
Gregory Bill: I took my 1975 Les Paul Custom in to the Seuf Brothers to have a needed fret job done. I have to say, these fellas did a fantastic job on a very special magical instrument. I was so pleased with the results with my Custom I decided to give them my 1958 reissue Les Paul for the same work. These gentlemen are my new guitar tech gods! Old school craftsmen are in KC and I live in Arkansas, which is no problem, I’ll drive to KC to have this level of quality work done on my guitars from now on.
Dustin Babitzke: I’ve been playing Seuf guitars for years and each new guitar I play continues to improve On what I thought the perfect guitar could be. But beyond that their repair work is second to none and their basic guitar maintenance class was the best money I’ve ever spent. Spending a day with them in the class will improve your maintenance skills beyond belief and allow you to breathe new life into your guitars. Couldn’t be happier.
Roger Vail: Good vibes on initial visit!
BigD Liquorstore: No answer didn't even pick up the phone
Cole Maggart: Professional and friendly guitar tech work with clear communication and quick turnaround. I am grateful to have this shop in our city and I will be recommending them to anyone who asks. Thank you!
Jonathan Nelson: Top tier tech work for very reasonable prices, what else could you ask for?
Neil Daniels: These guys are polite and do great work in a timely manner. They knew what my guitar needed in 2 minutes. I dropped off my Gibson j15 and they had it back to me in a few days. Now it plays like it is supposed to, like butter! Thanks guys!
dcwwwcp “Gator”: I recently decided to get some work done to my favorite guitar, my "72 Telecaster. I love this guitar. I have owned and played it for about 27 years now. Bought it from my good friend, my brother at heart, Jim Strahm, who passed before his time. I am very particular about this guitar, so I needed to find a place to replace the worn frets and treat it with some TLC. I usually do everything myself, but I knew this was beyond my capacity to do justice to this guitar. I received several references from people I trust to talk to the guys at Fountain City Guitar Works.I'm very glad I did. I brought the guitar to them on a Friday and we discussed what was to be done. The price, seemed a bit high at first, but turned out to be inclusive of everything. mind you there is a lot involved with a complete fret replacement. They removed the old frets, cleaned the fret-board, and made sure it was level. They installed new frets and dressed them, Then, included in the price, they installed a new bone nut, cut to perfection I might add, put new strings on and set it up to play just how I like it. Low and tight. This is a lot of value for the money, and done quickly I might add! The price ended up being a bargain. The work is guaranteed to satisfy. Now, the excessive fret buzz is gone. It's much easier to grab a string and to play in general. New life in the ol' Tele !!!I could not say enough good things about the quality of the work and the kindness of the people who work here.So if you're on the fence about getting some work done on an instrument, I HIGHLY recommend Fountain City Guitar Works. Thanks Guys!~ Gator
Mark aba: Definatly a great place. Dudes who work here are very down to earth and welcoming. They are also very quick was in an out in ten mins. Bass sounds awsome thanks guys.Peace and loveMark
Larry Boddy: Great job , the best set up I've ever had . You guys made my new american strat pro play amazing , exactly what i Was looking for.
Dave Mincey: Quality on time with reasonable cost.
Scott Qualls: Cool handmade guitars.
Paul Copeland: Very nice and professional.
Edward Hylton: I have some of the most awesome guitars on the planet. I have a Martin 000ecb, a PRS McCarty 10 top, a Fender American Tele Deluxe, and an EXTREMELY customized Fender Nashville B-Bender. I say that to say this...I happened to pick up a Seuf guitar at Music Gear in Independence Mo. today. It was one of the most awesome guitars I've ever had in my hands. It was perfect tonally, it felt right in my hands, and was responsive beyond belief....my next electric WILL be a Seuf guitar.
Robert Morrow: I love these guys. They are truly experts when it comes to guitars... and not just electrics! Bass, acoustic, and everything in between. I'm moving soon, and even if it's an hour away, I'll still go to Seuf's for all my guitar work!

Guitar Center: what do users think?
Mark Crawford: Do not waste your time with them. Incompetent and do not have proper information. Wasted multiple calls, emails and trips on them saying they'd buy a drum set for me to load and bring up and them say they don't have the room.Unprofessional, zero customer service skills and knowledge. Bunch of half-wits.Zero stars if possible.
Gage McClanahan: Customer service was amazing
Jessica Powers: Will I have to pay for the first lesson with my instructor
J. Wade Hannon: They had no U.S. made acoustic guitars. Many from countries where workers are extremely exploited and mal-treated.
Melissa Gann: My husband will love using his gift card
Terry Hinkle: Great service. The guy's really know there stuff. I will be shopping there again.
Kofijeff Steudler: Great selection and service
Amanda Gazaway: I ordered this mpk mini for the person I drew for Christmas, and It came in sooner than I thought!.. & (pic2) This is probably my favorite ribbon mic, from this store. I think ribbon mics give you more of the tone of your voice.
Aaron Fee: Staff was very helpful in finding what we needed, great service
Ken Eberhart: Guitar Center is a handy place to sell vintage drums. I'm a vintage drum broker & I've been paid decent prices for every item I've presented for a "Street Buy". I do get weary of being "schooled" about vintage drums by the 20 somethings behind the counter who seem oblivious to the possibility that I was playing drums from the era I'm selling, before they were even born. I also hold a Master of Music degree in percussion performance from a well known Conservatory of Music. It's always fun to have someone half my age asking me "Are ya SURE that's a 14 inch drum, cuz looks to me like it might be a 13? Let's measure it with a tape. Uh......... wow. I guess it IS a 14 like you said. Anyway, how's 80 bucks sound?"Sounds great kid (I paid $30 for it at a garage sale, then I wiped it down with Windex).
R. Darren Walker: Very friendly people there
Tim Falter: Sarah was an amazing wealth of knowledge great customer service.
neil hunt: I left my pro custom ear plugs there on tour. Your sales manager sent them back to me and saved me big time as they are so expensive! So I’m giving a 5 star review to the store and a 10 star to him cause that shows they care about musicians. Those things are my life line. Thanks so much again!
Ben Tribble: Great service very welcoming and a great selection.
Mike Peace: Good selection. A few 'Scratch and Dents' that were really more 'Totally Destroyed' haha but hey.
TsGh iLLuSioN: Great atmosphere wonderful employees that are willing to answer questions and help you find what is best for yourself and what you're interested in.
Derek Whitney: Sales lady was helpful....
K F: Staff is very friendly
Fernando Castro: Won't take my gear anywhere else! I'm horrible with names but always have a blast buying and selling my gear at this Guitar Center!
Walter Gross: Great place shop for your guitar needs,I will come back!
Rex McCommon: Thankful they are there

Guitar Repair Kansas City: what do users think?
Rml rml: My classical guitar I purchased in Granada, Spain had a 3 inch crack between the bottom deck and the body side, the decking was separating from the body side. I took it in for Dave to repair. Not only did he repair it, looks as if it never cracked, he also setup the guitar and repaired the saddle bridge nut and installed new strings. It plays some much better now. I've had this guitar for 20 yrs. He met delivery date and his craftsmanship is outstanding. I highly recommend him and I will return when I need him. Many thanks Dave

Meyer Music: what do users think?
Sheryl Matteson: very professional and works well with young people
Jeff Julian: Graham was very helpful. Wonderful place!
Brenda: Quick and Helpful Staff!!!
Jennifer Silvey: I popped in just after 10:00am, I was the only customer in the store, and there were two staff members at the counter. Both of the staff members were on telephone calls when I walked in. I didn’t want to intrude and went ahead in picking out the book my kiddo needed for band. Both phone calls were wrapping up as I made my way to the counter and had concluded within a few moments of my reaching the register. Neither staff member acknowledged me when I walked in (I can forgive that since they were on the phone), and neither acknowledged me at the counter while I stood waiting to have them ring up the sale. A minute or two later one of the two staff members rang up the book, she still never said a word to me except to tell me the total amount due. As I was getting my money out of my wallet, I asked a question about the best way to get my youngest started with the snare drum because that is what she wants to play. The staff member said “I’m not sure what you mean-we don’t sell snare drums and I’d suggest you go with the hand bells.” The staff member then repeated the total due.I really put an honest effort into buying local and supporting local businesses. I will not give Meyer Music anymore of my business. The staff came across as curt and frankly made me feel as though it was vexing for her to have to ring up my purchase. The staff here weren’t inviting, seemed to lack in customer service skills, and made me feel less than welcome.I purchased the rest of the items my kiddo needed from Amazon.
B. W: Had issues with scheduling of our lessons and the customer service level with the women at this store. Were told when we signed up if we had an issue with the scheduled time we would be worked with to reschedule the lessons we paid for. Well, things happen and despite letting them know in advance (even when our son was extremely ill) she refused to even try and allow us to reschedule and not lose money. Essentially were (rudely/with and attitude) told we would just have to cancel/forfeit because they were too busy - so if your kid get COVID better take them anyhow! We have opted to remove him and go elsewhere for lessons.
Traci: I am super upset and disappointed with this establishment!! We have bought one violin from here, and went in to buy another one today. The lady working the desk was rude as heck. I asked to talked to the manager, she wouldn’t get up from behind her desk, because she had to finish her meeting. I am totally fine with taking our business somewhere else.
delta sriracha: Clean and organized, with a lot of lesson books, but not very many piano books besides. Very limited selection of classical music (especially above the modified “simple piano” level.)
Joshua Fillingham: Solid shop and a friendly staff.
Firooz Basri: We love going to Meyer Music. My 10 year old son is learning piano and even though he is a kid who prefers video games, he told me “I really like going to piano lessons.” That made my heart happy. Meyer is very affordable and convenient and my son loves his instructor. We were even able to do a few of the classes virtual when he was sick and I didn’t want to take him in. I highly recommend taking your child there!!!
Hazel Miller: Kyle was very helpful with my order today.
Tate Fisher: Kyle was incredibly friendly and helpful!
Aaron Rearick: Meyer music has great customer service! They know how to deal with your situation when you describe it to them!
Maria Acosta: Great teachers and staff.
Anna: I took lessons here for a few years. It’s a very dull place and it feels like no one is excited to be there. The instructors are not personable (I took lessons for multiple instruments) and hard to talk to. Customer service is ok. They do try to sell you overpriced items but I guess that’s typical for any store these days. I wouldn’t recommend this place to take lessons for any instrument.
Kathy Williams: I buy all my religious piano music through Meyer Music. If they dont hVe it they will order it.HVe Lways been pleasant and profeasional. Recommend? Of coutse! A big yes!
Jennifer Koch: Great customer service. Teachers take the time to personalize music instruction for each of my kids.
Joe Lysaght: Professional, courteous, & extremely efficient! Even though I live an hour away, I will most definitely return for all of my music needs. Thank you!!!
Jodi Dunfield: We have been coming to Meyer Music for piano lessons for five years now, and we are very happy with our teachers and our results! I am an adult student who started in my late 40's, and my son started at age 16, and we both are very excited with our progress and depth of knowledge we have gained! We purchased a Yamaha studio piano, led by the expertise and guidance of the Meyer employees and the voice and beauty of the piano is wonderful. They also helped another family member purchase a Yamaha digital piano that was affordable and came with the stand and bench. Lastly, we have purchased a lot of different kinds of piano sheet music to add to our personal library and Meyer has been able to locate and provide individual sheet music as our needs and interests changed. We are super happy and highly recommend Meyer Music!
Bethani Lukens: Super friendly staff!
Brandy Wheeler: My son took lessons for several years l..we were very pleased with our experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The lesson prices were very affordable.
Margaret Vaughn: I have taken clarinet lessons at Meyer Music for six years. My instructor while caring and compassionate strives for perfection. She is an accomplished musician. The employees at the Kansas City North location are always helpful and accommodating. Look no farther than Meyer Music for private music lessons.

KC Guitar Repair: what do users think?
Dennis Dunmyer: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI had my guitar set up by Ted. He did a fantastic job finding a few issues with my guitar that I didn't even realize I was having and fixed them beyond my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the service and the quality of the work.
David Austin: I had called him to set up appointment on the following day to drop off all my guitar parts for an assembly and set-up. I took off of work, drove 20 minutes, and showed up at his location to a locked door. I had texted, called and no answer. I have left a message with never a return call. I have no clue what happened but he was a complete waste of time to me.Updated 1-2021. Ted confronted me about this review and was very apologetic about him missing communication with me. He has since done everything possible to remedy this situation, built my sons custom guitar, and charged me a fair price. I would not hesitate to use him again and we are very pleased with his work. Thanks
Daniel Eidet: Ted is a great guy. I needed some pickup wiring fixed and he graciously got it done for me very quickly. He didn’t require a full setup if he looked at it like SOME require...his quote was $10 less than what another local “luthier” quoted me just for the required setup. Ted understood my request and did a bang up job. This was the last time I’ve seen Ted. I had him do a setup for me when he worked at a previous shop. Highly recommend this man.
Jason Roberts: Great work highly recommend
Adam Merker: Botched the refret on my 1954 Gibson. Frets not seated properly, guitar came home buzzing terribly. Mass Street Music said the frets were uneven. Ted felt justified keeping my money because he wanted the opportunity to “learn from his mistakes”. I didn’t feel comfortable taking the guitar back to him, and so he kept my money. And I’m having to have the guitar completely refretted again. Hopefully someone will read this and avoid making the same mistake.
Ben H: Fantastic work, absolutely fair price, friendly and informative.
Griffen: Ted is awesome. I’ve taken gear everywhere in town over the past 15 years. The service I received was the quickest turnaround and most competitively priced. His work is top notch. Best in town, can not recommend enough.
Jeff Campbell: Very Professional Expert! Brought in a vintage guitar that was purchased online. Was afraid my purchase was a complete mistake. Ted was able to get it sounding great, affordable and while I waited. Won’t hesitate to go back! Thanks!
randall langeluttig: I have utilized the services of at least 5 luthiers over the years and Ted is certainly one of the best, he has repaired a ‘66 P-bass, ‘65 Martin D-35, and a Mesa Boogie Mk 3 for me and is currently working on wiring up the pickups on a junky Hohner steinberger so I can have something in slide tuning that I don’t worry about leaving out. His work is high quality, very reasonably priced, and fast turnaround. He has experience with instruments that I will never be able to afford so I am confident that he is able to get every bit of sonic performance out of anything I bring him, he is patient and does not assume what the customer wants, but rather is curious enough to ask the right to questions to make sure he understands what the customer is needing done. Acoustic, electric, amplifiers, Very Highly Recommended!
Abdulrahman Alsulaimi: Best in town
Hareth H.: For those of you who don't know, this is a small repair shop inside the Bradford and Frankze fret shop. The price for work is unmatched, especially compared to the big named guitar shops. On top of all of that, support your local business. They're good people!!

Palen Music Center: what do users think?
Matt Price: Jake and Tyler are always extremely helpful anytime in the store. Palen has the best selection of guitars in town.
Brandon Harves: They have ALL the guitar pedals! Definitely worth the stop for all the guitar pedal nerds out there
Patrick Rippeto: These guys always go above and beyond when I come in looking for something; be it pedals or guitars.
usmcx5: We absolutely enjoyed talking with Jake, Tyler, Lana and Emmett!! We are so looking forward to getting the AmPro 2 Dark Knight!! Thank you all for your patience and time spent helping us!
Luanne Oneal: Helpful, knowledgeable staff. I was interested in a used ukulele they had in stock. After discovering a hairline crack the staff apologized for the oversight and were very generous in accommodating me for the time spent in travel and time.I will definitely continue shopping here. Carolyn Kisler: Great customer service and instrument selection. Anytime we’ve needed a repair, they’ve been faster than expected and affordable.
Sean McCulloch: Super helpful people! I mainly just enjoy going in and talking and jamming with no pressure to purchase anything which makes me WANT to purchase more!
BandJ Gummelt: They have been helpful and accommodating from the time we first did business with them three years ago. They were recommended to us by our school band teacher and we’ve never been disappointed.
Jessica Stanton: Edited: My 14-yr-old is over six feet tall. His instructor suggested he try the viola. Thank you, Lana, for helping us make the decision to switch and helping us find a viola. My 14-yr-old decided he wants to learn to play the violin. So, we found him a violin and took it to Palen to make sure it was in proper working order. Lana helped us get it the repairs it needed and helped us find an instructor. My son had his first lesson this evening and is pretty excited about it.
Ramona Hall: Jake and the staff at Palen Music Center are so great to work with. Very knowledgeable and patient with Customers. Definitely had a great experience.
s toad: Outstanding service as always. Lana keeps the customers and Palen students/family always in mind. Excellent organization.

Bentley Guitar Studios: what do users think?
Jacob Carolan: They were great let me be to noodle around until I found the guitar I’ve been needing for a while thanks a lot fellas
Hyper Trayne: Love this little shop, In this little town. Owner and staff are knowledgeable and have nice friendly vibes. They are competivly priced and have great products. I've gotten two Ukes and some hardware. All which are well made and sound amazing. Plan on shopping here in the future. Great fit.
Shiloh Humble: Amazing selection of quality instruments.
Maggie Deigh: This place is awesome! I’ve been here several times, and always pleased with the experience. Staff are knowledgeable and I get the impression that it’s by musicians for musicians. Unlike many other music stores (where “don’t touch” is a common policy) they encourage folks to find an instrument that interests them and try it out! I’ve spent hours playing dozens of different instruments, comparing tones and the feels in the hands. Also, the most incredible assortment of ukuleles that I’ve ever found under one roof!!
Maksim Tsikhanovich: Jace was very helpful. Store has a wide variety of guitar and accessories. Very easy to navigate. Great prices and service
Steve Zipp: Great shop! I was given a tour which I really enjoyed. Lots of guitars to see! Mark and Mike are very friendly and informative.
william Babbitt: Mike and Jace are best guitarists and tech in the city alway use Bentleys
VR2Connect: Excellent service!
Chase Fanning: I purchased a Martin guitar here in 2012. Jace the guitar repair man has been incredibly helpful. He has helped me maintain that guitar many times over the last 11 years. The store owners also very kind. If you had any sort of issue with a guitar or you're looking to purchase one, you should definitely consider this store.

Brian Rogers: Friendly and nice people
Joseph Nguyen: Cool store and employees. Mike is super knowledgable!
Jim Barnes: Nice shop. Friendly folks. Nice selection of instruments.
Gunner Gabbert: Cool guitars.
Josh Webber: I recently moved away from Parkville, and one of the things I miss most about Parkville is walking in and chatting with the staff at this shop. Before I left, I purchased a Martin from them and couldn't be happier with it. I highly recommend Bentley Guitar Studios to anyone in KC.
Lindee Hopkins: Great guitar store! You can look & try independently or ask lots of questions. My husband shopped there for me, my three adult sons shopped there & now my grandson!
Jim Ready: Excellent customer service and the shop is really cool with a nice selection!
Walter Beeson: Jace always does great work setting up my bass! Go check them out!
Dawn Robinson: Mr. Doug and miss Audrey were awesome.

Heritage Music Repair: what do users think?
Gary Harts: Found just what I had been shopping all around for and the price was what I expected? Thanks for your help!
Ryan Ashley Davis: They were unable to help with my repair but offered other shops that they recommended
Daniel Bethe: This is the maestro. Heritage and BAC are world class, and can fix anything. We brought our wrecked French horn that had taken a bad trip down a metal staircase years ago, with a botched repair attempt elsewhere. Heritage smoothed the dents, removed the ruined old solder, added a new plate to cover the hole and reinforce the weak area, and cleaned the whole thing. They disassembled it, soaked it in an ultrasonic tank, and replaced the pads and strings. The new plate looks perfect, like the manufacturer had made it that way. All this took three weeks and $400.First, they'd spent about half an hour very very carefully assessing every bit of the horn, and talking about the whole project. With no sales talk, they explained the entire process down to the metallic molecules. Everything turned out exactly how they predicted. They generously spent as much time as we wanted, answered all our newbie questions so many times, for our piece of mind. i accidentally kept them after closing time for a total of an hour, without even buying anything on my first visit. They had a very nice mouthpiece upgrade for almost $100, which further improved playability. The horn is much better than even before the damage. It's the easiest $500 I've spent in a long time.It was a true honor to visit true master craftsmen and gentlemen, who have an attitude above the level of selling or of competition. Heritage and BAC are pals and they refer to each other for second opinions or whatever. People come from everywhere for these guys.
Jessica: Excellent people and wonderful service. Brian completely restored my flute for a great price. I'd recommend them for all your musical instrument needs!
James Korgie: Amazing service! I had my guitar dropped off for some work, they called me in to noodle around with it a bit to determine if any minor tweaks would be needed. It only needed very small tweaks to fit my style, and there weren't any additional charges. I would 100% recommend Heritage Music Repair to anyone looking for experienced technicians who care about going above and beyond!
Charles Haley: Their work is dependable and accurate, based on training and experience with the tools of the trade and a knowledge of resources. Musicians supporting musicians.
Shivam Tundele: Everything went well and it was appropriately priced except I had to follow up with them thrice and they delayed the repair by a week.
MC Realty Group: Heritage should be your first and last stop for ANYTHING instrument/music related. The owner is SO kind and really takes time to listen to his customers and is always willing to answer any questions. I've sold him several instruments and he's always very fair and honest. Love doing business at Heritage Music Repair.
Michael Johnson: Matt came through in a pinch and helped me tremendously when I needed last minute gear fixed on my bass before a show. The piece I had was faulty so he wasn't able to fully fix it, which is 100% understandable, but was able to get me in a good enough spot so I can play. He is incredibly knowledgeable and would highly recommend that you come to him for any gear questions. 10/10!
Max Barlow: I recently took a refinished guitar body there to have all of the electronics, hardware, and neck reassembled. Everything including the set up and new tremolo bridge worked well like new, in excellent condition. At the same time, I also brought in a phaser pedal to have a lead repaired. The battery power works excellent like no previous problem ever happened. Matt did an excellent job. He and everyone else there are professional and attentive. They seriously know what they are doing!
Matt Keeney: Great knowledgeable staff
slmjm54: Really nice knowledgeable people, great service, and a cool store.
Triggers & Trumpets: Awesome place to visit with amazing staff
Janice Lee: Great service.
Bill: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI took my G&L ASAT Classic in to have the selector switch and the volume and tone knob and electronics upgraded along with the nut. He did a great job, did a great setup and it plays very well. Highly recommend this place.
David Winfrey: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Monica: They seem focused on repairing instruments, and they did a fabulous job repairing my guitar.
Kris Fernald: Amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff! Love this place!
Hetti Mcmillian: I had a guitar fixed here last week for an anniversary gift. It was professional, fair price and it was completed very quickly for how much repairs were needed. My fiance was ecstatic.
freddy ZimBobWay: Fast repairs
