The Westport Saloon: what do users think?
Aaron Grinnell: Best venue in town for supporting local musicians! I'm really gonna miss this place after they close. I hope they're able to find a new location soon.
Ryan Kulke: Awesome live music
Aarti Pandya: This place is an absolute gem! The bouncer is friendly and the live music was awesome! We had such a great time here dancing and enjoying the music! Will absolutely be going back!
Patrick T: Warm wood and brick throughout. On warm days, they've got a wall to wall floor to ceiling garage door bringing the outside in. Great live music. Covid took a toll, the kitchen is currently closed, and they don't open till 5. Music is often old school blues, bluegrass, plenty of open Mike jams of the same. Occasionally a rock or funk band plays... (usually a fusion that fits in the nice warm space). A whiskey and beer pub. Yes, pub vs any ol bar.
Mark Zoochory: Always a great place to have a beer when I’m in town.
David Dorrell: Live Bluegrass most Wensday nights
William Dixon: My go to spot in Westport to catch live shows! The regulars are the best ever!Breezie is the greatest bartender ever! The rest of the staff deserves a shout out too!
Paul Estes: Always great live music
andy haun: I support live, local music and enjoy bars. But beer #1 was flat and too warm, beer # 2 was just too warm. After waiting for 45 minutes (after paying the cover charge) waiting for the advertised guitar player to begin, I found out it would be another hour. The guy that was playing in his place sounded as if he was making up the songs as he went along - at about 120 dB.Not recommended.
Mizzou Marine: This place is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! Awesome owner, great staff and the atmosphere is AMAZING!!! If you’ve had a negative experience here, you love a brick wall. Super fun!!!!
Jake Jacobs: Great drinks, great bands, and to top it off an awesome bartender! I believe his name was Will and his drinks and service were on point all night.
Amie A: One of my favorite venues to attend and play.
Katie Molnar: Really cool bar tucked away in Westport. Bartender was nice and attentive--great at handling all the drinks! Live music was awesome, of course. Lot of unique and different sounding musicians played while I was there, which is nice because it allows you to listen to music you might never would have before!
Carolynn Rose Arroyo: Cozy atmosphere and great live music! Everyone there was pretty friendly. The gentleman behind the bar, Will, was welcoming and even the bouncer was polite. Definitely worth checking out! Thank you guys for the great time
Melanie Taylor: Thank you for a great time!
Chase Reece: Cheap cheap cheap
amy connor: 10/10 would cry here again
jacob salmons: Great prices good music love the jams on Tuesday nights
John Clymore: Coronavirus and over priced drinks made the experience ok. Not a place I will probably go back to.
Phillip French: Good drinks and music
SamMarie Mayrut: Love, Love, Loved this place! was delicious!

Howl at the Moon Kansas City: what do users think?
Jana Justice: fun, fun, funnn!
Margaret Campbell: Was not expecting such an amazing performance from the staff. At any given time they had two piano players going, a singer, and a guitarist. Overall a fantastic place to have a celebration and the servers were wonderful!
Sean Pridgeon: Great music venue with a fun atmosphere.
cory hendrickson: My company hosted an event here, it was great. The staff was awesome, the catered food was great, it's a really good location. It's a great spot to host team events.
Andrew George: the beer Cousy was not well received
Ronald Moreno: Un lugar donde la diversion , la musica y pa gente más bella de Kansas city , se concentran a la hora de un Evento
Michael Price: Excellent staff, great drunks and lively atmosphere
Derek Billups: KC's Tha Town!
Marisa Sepulveda: Made me love dueling piano bars. Always a great time
drvums: Great entertainment for your dollar. We go early to beat crowds, and Fridays are less hectic than Saturdays. Good drink specials and fair pricing. Entertainers/musicians do a fantastic job engaging with the crowd and our a very talented bunch.
Kyle Bechtold: Great new year party.
Carl Schuett: Had a fantastic evening on new years. The entertainment was great and the drinks were good. I wish they would put one in Omaha.
Holden Joynes: The music was POPPING and the drinks were tasty. The best experience in PnL I've had in years
Chris Alvarez: I dont know if you mean to represent this or not but last time I was there the over load of toxic femininity was so thick I almost puked. Not fun only if you want to get white girl wasted and dance on tables
D.W. Odom: Loved the entertainment and enjoyed the fast and friendly service
Anthony Johnston: Fantastic live music - strongly recommend. Diverse adult beverage options are good and reasonably priced. No food at this venue, but allowed to bring in food from other places within the Power & Light district. Very good after-party location to continue an evening after a T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center) event. Very close to the free trolley stop as well.
Carrie Garrison: I went here for my Bachelorette party and had soooo much fun!
Tierra Wade: Music was great but the drinks were so weak spent 80$ neither of us got even a buzz!
Ryan Anders: Leave the karaoke to the professionals. Five stars.
Sàndi Decker: Great atmosphere. Our group had a fantastic time. Musicians were outstanding.
Elizabeth Maguire: Drinks way too expensive. I asked for the cheapest drink they had at the bar, after the first suggested drink ended up being $30. And the bartender said cheapest thing they had were straight alcohol shots starting at $7.50Not karaoke, but live music. It was all right, three out of the five singers were good singers.

The Blue Room: what do users think?
Gwyneth Bowen: First time visiting The Blue Room for a show. This happened to be the 5 o'clock Friday night free jazz show. It was a real treat seeing (hearing) Lady D and her band! Great ambience, a wonderful mix of people in a really welcoming space. Had previously visited the museum, a "don't miss!" and was just as thrilled with this experience. Highly recommend!
Le Wilson: They only need foodService: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Steve Yaney: Amazing jazz club! Here for Friday Indigo! Great vibes!
Francisco Cerrito: I rarely review places unless they're outstanding and this venue is fantastic. If you found this review somehow, please do yourself a favor and come visit The Blue Room. If it hadn't been for my friend vouching for this place I wouldn't have ever gone and I wouldn't know what I was missing out on. The music is outstanding, the staff is phenomenal and the overall atmosphere is welcoming to new people and so positive. I want to come back even if it's out of my way just to experience what I did tonight again.

Lex Go Financial: WOW
Jel Mo: I cannot give the music and hospitality of 4/28/23 off my mind. I haven't been to a Jazz Venue in some time, and the Music had me crying inside over Why I ever left. The richness of the trio playing was absolutely transporting! I'm horrible with names, but I caught one singer's name, Chloe. Terrific. A while later a quartet played that was a total joy, especially in watching the good time that Trent (I think) had, playing that trumpet. The music - great, the house - great, and the people - Great! I WILL BE BACK to the Blue Room!
Rev. Ted: Over the top.... great venue
Jaime Enrique Espinosa Galvis: Excellent and cozy place
annette nance: Great jazz
Phyllis Saphra: Fun evening with great jazz players. Woman bartender was rude though.
Clark Parry: Great music!
Jon Tom: Stopped in for some live music after the symphony and was not disappointed.
Chrystal Warburton: Nice chill place, great music
Charlene Adams: Loved hearing Jazzy Jazz on her amazing flute . Parking was great and well lighted parking lot..
Tina Olvera: Waitress asked us to get our own drinks so I stood in line only for her to take my money get the beer from the bartender hand to me and never gave me my change her nightly tip i suppose but in all the music a 10
Mara Jade: Good music and kid friendly
M Harper: Always great!

The Indie on Main: what do users think?
Lovely Lace: They are not open when they say they are supposed to be? I just had to park 2 blocks down the street and walk in the cold for them to be closed.
Jamie Locker (Spidey): Great place, awesome staff. Hoping to see the karaoke back soon as stated for March I heard.
Quinn Wanatee: Great vibe and friendly staff.
David Simia: I was looking for an escape from the odorous taint of very unpleasant dealings with the legal contacts at H&R block, specifically 2 that represented they were part of the H&R Block legal team (????). Not one thing in my communications with them validated legal acumen other than as the joke goes...there lips were moving!.....I saw this restaurant, reviewed the menu and the comments of others. It appears to have the professionalism, credibility and quality service credentials that H&R IMO lacks. I was very impressed with the exciting food they offer and the chance to deal with a quality organization. Looks like fun!!!!
Louis Phlips: $12 for a draft beer and a homeless dude sitting at the table next to me charging his phone and burping loudly.
Molly Pearman: Love karaoke here and the bartenders are wonderful. Special shout out to my girl, Olivia!
Michele Chad: This is a great bar to start your night if you're heading into The Midland to see a show, or exploring downtown. They have a huge and unique cocktail menu and the staff is always friendly!
Stephen Brown: I love going here for karaoke. Cool atmosphere. Bar staff is awesome.
Stephen A. Brown: Great spot for Karaoke on Friday and Saturday starts at 9.

armon williams: Thursdays night house much
Erin Clark: Karaoke every Friday and Saturday with a short rotation. Cheap drinks and stellar service.
Chelsea: Friendly, artsy bar downtown with an excellent selection of drinks.
Angelo Alonzo (Glockman61): Nice lounge attached to the Midland Theater. Great place to have a drink with friends or your significant other.
suzzeeQ The Okie: We were in town for a wedding, decided to get a little taste of a local hangout. We were welcomed by the locals and truly enjoyed our night cap.
Michael Jacobsen: Good time. Bartender Olivia was very personable.
Leah Risener: Sydney is a great bartender!
Phoenix: Fantastic bar staff, super personable and friendly. We came at karaoke night and had a blast!!

Angel's Rock Bar: what do users think?
David Simia: I was looking for an escape from the taint of the very unpleasant dealings with the contacts at H&R block, specifically 2 that represented they were part of the H&R Block legal team (????). Nothing in my communications with them validated a sound fact based legal conclusion! THE OPPOSITE!I saw this place, reviewed the menu and the comments of others. I was jazzed. It appears to have the professionalism and quality service credentials that H&R IMO lacks. I was very impressed with the exciting food they offer, the fun and the chance to deal with a quality organization. Looks like fun!!!
Rachel Gordy (RLG1128): This place is great! The staff is super cool, musics great... the 2 star rating is totally wrong.... at least for me :)
Robert Myers: It used to be a fun place to go. My wife and I loved it when they first opened. Now it's anything but a rock bar.
Aaron Fountain: I cannot believe this place didn't shut down yet. I had a good time but with the activities I saw at this place shocked me a bit. And this is coming from someone who has done nightlife all across the country and Canada. Regarding the quality, this isn't a rock bar. It plays mostly hip hop music. And there is little room to dance.
Dakalia Johnson: I'm assuming most people are upset because it says "Rock" in the name.Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a little better than expected. I've honestly learned that you can't go off the title of something and assume that to be what you're going to receive. Titles, names of things are often more misleading than anything else. Needless to say I had a good time. Good mix of music and I genuinely appreciate the bartender who already knew how to make a liquid marijuana.
Bailey Baker: My fiancé and I accidentally walked into Angels one night, wanting to go to Mosaic. We handed the lady at the front desk a $20 bill for our cover charge. RIGHT after I gave it to her I said, “Oh whoops, can I have that back? We went into the wrong bar.” She says no and then continues to give me my change.
Rhetorical Zombie: TLDRNot a lot of rock, service is hit or miss. For you if you like loud music and drinking. See below for details. This bar has been up and down for me. Sometimes it's awesome, sometimes it's garbage. Let's start with the positives. First it's a club in every sense of the word, not a rock bar. If you like loud music (pop, EDM, dubstep, top 40, and occasionally a rock song), then the music selection is decent. The nights have potential to get wild, but do not always go that way (depends on the crowd and events going on in P&L). Bottle service and a booth can be inexpensive if you split it with a few friends. I have had some wild times here. On the downside, more often than not, I have had issues with the bar tenders not really knowing what they're doing. They have screwed up my both my orders, and my check at the end of the night. That's not to say there isn't a good staff member. Sometimes their service is on point. The bathrooms are usually a mess and if you came for the rock music you will be disappointed for the most part. I don't blame the DJ for this. As it was explained to me, "the owner doesn't want rock music because it doesn't attract women, just men. And when men get drunk they just want to fight or have sex and since there is no women, they usually wound up fighting. So they play the other stuff to draw in a more appealing crowd." As it gets later in the night (after midnight) they will play more rock and metal. Closing thoughts: it's not a bad bar. I like it and will probably be back, but it's not for everyone.
Daniel Martin: Used to be able to come into this place and listen to a good variety of rock music (as one would expect given the name of the bar). Last time I went in they played rap/pop music all night long. I can get that at pretty much any other P&L bar. Play rock music or change the name of the bar.
Bryce Caster: I was hoping for rock music, but they were playing rap music instead.
adam ameer: Those who stand in the door are very hostile and disrespectful and act brutally. For young people who like to have fun, whether alone or with their friends, I urge them to avoid this annoying place where there is no good and respectable service.
Joel Pratt: no thanks.
Natalie Thompson: They used to play good rock and metal music, like Marilyn Manson, NIN, Rob Zombie, etc, but now it's like random hip hop and lighter songs that no one knows... It is sadly not what it used to be back when it first opened. The atmosphere is still overall fun, but if they still played the same music it would be more fun!
Scott Dinkel: If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've been to A LOT of sh@#y bars in my life , but never before have I went to a bar that was advertised as one thing, and completely turned out to be something else. Was thete for over an hour (only because I wanted to justify my cover charge) and heard only 2 rock songs...FROM A "ROCK" BAR. If you want to be a hip hop club, stop advertising as a rock bar.
APRIL DINKEL: Advertised as a ROCK club, has ROCK decor but plays hip hip music. Was not impressed, will never return and will not recommend to those looking for a place to listen and enjoy ROCK music.
Chelsie Shepard: Best DJ in Kansas City. Come here to listen to a variety of music (not just rock). Times have changed. Rock bar is a fun time.
Jake O'Brien: When I was here it was just a place for creepy dudes to ogle young gogo dancers while they listened to out of style music. Not my thing but if you think music peaked with Metallica here is your place.
Farlonne Timothe: Believe it or not this is place is not as bad as some of the people are saying! Me and my friend got there last night and of course we showed our ID multiple times to get it different clubs, Honestly we paid $10 each to get in and it was so much fun! However CROWDED!! We went upstairs to a different club the girl didn't take money from us because of the looks I gave her when she mentioned I had to pay another $5 each. We got in and had fun and left to go to the angel's Rock bar & all the security did was check out IDs again we did not pay to get in!!! I met some cool people there and the music was very good. Overall I enjoyed it was a lot of fun!
jaywee kcchiefs: LITTY ❤️🔥🔥🔥
Christina Wagner: Excellent experience. Coyote ugly feel. Great energy from the dancers. DJ played excellent music.
Alex Myers (Al): Awesome place! Live DJ plays great music, and the bar girls definitely know how to dance. Fantastic atmosphere for straight up fun.
Matthew Baker: Horrible environment!!!!!! Guys pay a $10 cover, girls pay $5. It looks like a poor mans strip joint. DO NOT GO HERE!

Erin Sampson: I've always loved shows at the Record Bar. It's a great venue with a variety of beers on tap. My partner and I were real excited to see Tim Capello last night and it lived up to expectations. Unfortunately, the sound guy was not excited to see Tim and decided to act like a dramatic 5 year old at a party they didn't want to be at. We saw him rolling his eyes and displaying other nonverbals that made it clear that he was not happy to be at work. Tim asked him to make a few adjustments and he was snippy in his response back. It seemed that he spent more time at the bar than the sound booth. It was disappointing and distracting to see an employee acting so disrespectful. I understand that he doesn't have to be a fan, but at least be respectful of the performer and the fans that have paid to be here. 5 stars to the venue, bartenders, workers at the door, & everyone behind the scenes. 0 stars to "too cool for school" sound guy.
Seth Trotter: Fun, small music venue.Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Travis Kerr: Bartenders were quick and attentive and happy. Drinks weren't over priced, very average if not slightly below average for KC. Great atmosphere. Going to concerts in your 40's is a much more enjoyable experience than in your teens and 20's. Everyone just rocks out in their own little bubble and you don't have sweaty, dirty, drunk people flailing their shirtless bodies' all about. I've been to Record Bar for many shows and it's high on my list of favorite concert venues. Oh and Geoff Rickly and Sparta were killer!!Parking: You can always find a parking spot somewhere within a 2 city block radius at most.
giant purple cow pie people: Salsa night!Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Katy Gertz: This place was packed for a ticketed event. And with a broken foot, I wasn’t able to stand. The staff wasn’t at all helpful when I asked for assistance with a chair or finding a place I could sit. Otherwise great event.
Marie Pascal: Hands down the best music venue in Kansas City. The staff are top notch, the room is cool, and the bands are always great. I love rB.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lisa V: Experienced the bar during a concert recently. I love that there are chairs in the upstairs lounge so people can sit to enjoy the show if need be. The venue offered free water (very cold) which was awesome and the staff I encountered was nice and helpful! Look forward to coming back to enjoy another show soon!!
Russell Schrader: Great music and a clean environment.
Meredith Mau: The vibe was chill. Not too big. Not too small. I was here for an amazing concert put on by the kids from the Kansas City Art Academy. I had an amazing time.
Geoff Geist: Great local joint for that real music scene feel.
Jared Blankenship: A favorite venue for live music. Never bad sound, always great service — and beer and cocktails.
Guy: Finally, I visited this place after 4 years in KCMO! Cozy, intimate venue to get up close and personal with bands. Bartender was a really nice guy and service was lightning fast, and I liked that they had actually cool NA options for drinks while we were doing a dry month.
Jessica Fox: Venue was decent. Service/bartenders were wonderful. Drink prices slightly obnoxious.
Michael Collins: One of the better “small” venues I have been to in a long time with very friendly and coordinated staff.
Christopher Mogenson: Sweet room. Hot tunes. Hell yes!
Jerry Marr: Great service great vibe plenty of room and VIP parking!!
Matthew “Matt” Bowlin: Great little venue for live music!
CAT: I never knew this bar existed! I went the other night to see Eric Bellinger’s concert and it was a fun time! The staff got us checked in and inside quick as possible, the bar was stocked and the lighting was awesome!
Kevin Marchant: Great place to catch a show, balcony is 21+

Mosaic Ultra Lounge: what do users think?
Spencer Howerton: Best Nightclub in KC hands down, me and my friends have a blast every time we come here.Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lindsay Thompson: Unsafe & sketchy is an understatement. First, a $750 minimum on a table that only seats 4 is insane (& a recipe for over drinking) but plans had already been in place so we reluctantly stayed. Then, I went outside w/ my friends still at table only for bouncer to refuse re-entry w/ no prior warning. When someone tried talking to the bouncer he was clearly on some sort of ego fueled power trip & ended up tackling the patron to the ground out of nowhere. Manager was apologetic & said bouncer has been known to do that so WHY is he still working there?! He’s lucky the customer was incredibly chill & didn’t press charges. Then as with what other customers are saying too, I wasn’t able to get my coat back from inside & their phone number doesn’t work so it’s impossible to get ahold of anyone. Not sure who is running this place but it is a disaster waiting to happen. Avoid it at all costs
Spyro Makris Jr.: Had a great time.
Thair Honeycutt: Loved getting to see old friends and meet so many new amazing folks as well. The vibe was slightly off for that night, we had vip passes and were shuffled and moved through the club oddly. In a way that seemed like the additional service wasn’t worth it in the end.Bodies were packed in a way I personally felt bad for the staff.Would be giving a three star though I completely understand the draft weekend being a bit overwhelming so I’m giving Mosaic a 4 star for the time being.I do look forward to trying the lounge out again and seeing if it was just a crazy night and not more of a regular basis.
Tony Monson: Would not recommend. Got in the door and went to the bar and was just straight up ignored then went to the out side bar. Ordered two whisky shots for me and a bud and the bartender gave us two small shots after saying "oh you're choosing violence".If you run a business you should want to make money and give a reason to come back. Not to make an unwelcoming pretentious environment.
kobe tran: Best DJ ever, place was packed though. I am from San Francisco, and this is probably one of the top 5 clubs I been to for the DJ. This is definitely the club to go to for the music in KC.
ShaNyia Roberts: It was okay, everybody that was in there was super drunk and they only play one genre of music and it sucked. I do think they tend to over-serve which is alarming, don’t think I’d go back definitely not for people like me.
Andrew Barnes: Service was garbage. Not even going to bother staying if I can't get a drink.
Todd Morgan: There's a short fat bouncer that shoved me out the exit for no reason as my friends and I were leaving. I should have reported it as an assault and if I had gotten hurt I would 100% be sueing. They should get him retrained or removed before he causes a real problem for their business.Besides that the staff seemed ok, but generally rude. The place was way overcrowded, everything is sticky from spilled drinks and it's massively overpriced. I can understand some people being drawn to the atmosphere but I'll never go back.Shark bar has pm the same positives, but the staff is waaay better and it's 10x cleaner.
hassan rasool: Its not good at all, bouncers are really rude. Restrooms; omg, lets not even go there. Parking problems. So, avoid mosaic.
Bryanna Shovels: I was so nice and they said I couldn’t come in. Idk what I did but they were mad that I didn’t say hi to security and I just walked past and went to check my id so the said I wasn’t allowed in. Idk I was super nice to all of the people working they were just salty.
Alicia Briggs: I left my card behind the bar at @mosaickc awhile ago on accident and afterwards tried to email, Instagram message, and call with no response and no way to get my card back unless they were open on the weekend. I quickly dubbed it a lost cause and got a new card.I am now getting declined charge emails from that old card meaning someone took it from behind the bar and has decided to try and use it for Amazon and Walmart purchases. One of those purchases was attempted at 12:12 this morning so I can only imagine that it was an online purchase to ring in the new year. That being said, I can’t wait to get the full name and shipping address of the Mosaic employee who has my card. HNY 💛🎉🖕🏼
Bianca Neal: I was there over Halloween weekend. I lost my car keys, and I have tried for the past 2 weeks to get ahold of them. And their phone number doesn’t work. No one on Facebook will answer me. I’ve emailed them and no one answers. There is literally no way to get ahold of anyone there.
Manpreet: 🔥
Alberto Casas castro: Nices places.
Bryce Ligaya: $35 for a average experience. trash
MN Y: Waaaayyyy over priced!! $20 for a double? This isn’t Vegas it’s Kansas City….
Alexis Ryle: Coming from out of town to a very over priced club is annoying. But what’s more annoying is having Jackson Mahomes as our bartender and him completely ignoring our friends in our group, would not give us any eye contact, was on his phone in front of us still not helping out and most importantly the fact he went and helped people right next to us AFTER we had been waiting for about 10 min. Waste of time and money.
Caleb Kreis: Cover charge. No re-entry. A lot smaller than you'd imagine from the outside.
Ryo Shigemitsu: Not bad. Not great. 20 USD entrance fees
gilmannn: $20 to get in girl at front taking cover fees is literally the biggest b****. I would never come back here. PBR big sky the bouncers and bartenders were super friendly. Better atmosphere all around. I wouldn’t recommend Mosaic to anyone.
