Robert Sayed: Wanted to take my daughter on a special outing so I looked for the highest rated restaurant in the city market and so I wound up here. VERY happy we came, the gal and her mom who run it know their stuff! Food was fresh, service was exceptional and the wait only took minutes. On the way out my kid was asking me when we were coming back lol Will return and will recommend!!
alyssa: Been here so many times and every time the people are so incredibly nice and friendly, I always leave with a warm fuzzy feeling. Food is amazing as well, I brought my mom here and she said the food was "so good I can't explain." They also have a good amount of vegan and vegetarian options and are super accommodating. 11/10 would recommend this place to everyone. ❤️

Octavia D'Aishteah: Their cuisine is exquisite, thier selection of fresh spices is beyond compare, and thier tamarind tea makes my heart sing.but if you try nothing else here you have to come here for the hummus. If you love hummus you're probably like me and tired of paying out the nose for hummus at grocery stores or restaurants. At tikka not only do you get a really generous amount of hummus for 4.99, not only is it the most fresh and delicious hummus I've ever eaten, but they will flavor it with any spice that they have in thier vast selection. Perfection.

Joe: The food here is more of a Mediterranean Indian Fusion, but don't let that put you off. Everything is delicious, and the staff is wonderful. Prices are super affordable. And, you can stock up on spices for your own kitchen while you're here.Update: I just tried their mint tea for the first time and it's insanely good! Dorian Joye: The owner and everyone I've spoken to who works there are lovely to chat with and have amazing customer service skills, spices and hot dishes are priced well, and everything I've tried from their menu has been amazing. It's a great place to stop by and I highly recommend grabbing lunch there if you're in the area.

Also love the spices: recently obsessed with the garlic lovers, Hawaiian BBQ, and Jamaican curry. Family owned and operated and they are lovely people. I have receipts where eye have paid different prices depending on how she (the owner) feels. The most authentic is the son. However, this season was my last season going and I've been going over 5 years. The chick peas in the hummus lost you a for life customer. I'll make sure to share my experience with all my coworkers whom I've turned onto hummus and definitely will STOP my family from going.
Pet Pals KC: We love to drop in and grab the pita pockets!! They’re an incredible version of a homemade Hot Pocket and we are obsessed!! We grab a couple at once and take them home to eat during the week. Sooo so good!! Everything else is super fun and they have an amazing selection of spices! The service is also amazing and the staff are all so nice!!! So glad they’re in the City Market!

Janette Novak: The food here used to be the best Indian cuisine in the metro area. I live north of river and have three other Indian restaurants closer to me, and while most are good, I always preferred Seva even tho it’s 30 minutes away from me (so tho don’t always feel like making the drive over, but always do for visiting guests). Just went last night with my out of town guests and food was mediocre. The recipes seem to have changed dramatically. The pakora were weird, only offered one sauce … no onion or mint chutney. The chicken korma was way more tomato-y, super sweet and blah. And the chicken was seasonless and dry. It’s obvious there is either a new chef or recipes. Did this change hands in the last year? I’m so disappointed. People were very nice and service was still good.
G T: We love going to Seva for their Indian buffet. They just added Friday to the days (sat-sun) that the buffet is available. They have a great mix of dishes. I'm a meat person and my wife is the veggie person. We love the flavors in the dishes and we left eating a bit more than we should have. Terry Irwin: Didn't know if I would even like Indian food. Tried the chicken Masala and it was really good. Portions were generous. I was stuffed when I left. Good vegetarian options here too, with a significant portion of the menu devoted to them. Clean restrooms, ample parking. Place was very clean, didn't smell funny, and the wait staff was so incredibly polite. This place does not disappoint.
Dan Lady: If you are looking for some of the best Indian food in the KC area; this is the place! They have options for pretty much everyone including different proteins, vegetarian options and halal. While I love bbq, burgers and anything else meat based, I always order from their vegetarian menu. Some of their best dishes include garbanzo beans and paneer cheese. BUT, if you are new to Indian food you can always try the butter chicken. Definitely try the mango lassi and make sure to get naan....and Chai tea.

Brooke Rivard: When your 12 year old nephew begs you to take them to restaurant, you have to go! The buffet was over the top amazing. The food was well prepared, it was delicious! I have a gluten intolerance and when I asked the server about it, he checked with someone else and made sure it was safe. Then they brought out freshly made gluten free naan! Kimberly Z: This is the best Indian food I've EVER had! My favorite type of food is Indian, and I have been to many restaurants. Its pricey, but its worth it for the extra flavor you get that you won't find in other restaurants or store bought. The food was brought out surprisingly quickly too, I think we were only waiting about 5-10 minutes, the waiters/waitresses were very friendly, the restaurant itself was very beautiful and clean. Fatima: If you want to experience an owner watching you while you eat and then confronting you in order to tell you to not to leave any food on your plate, then this is the perfect restaurant for you. Every plate the waiter picked up was inspected by the owner. If someone is leaving an excessive amount of food then maybe i would understand but this was just ridiculous and unnecessary. The owner needs to take a class on hospitality and customer services. The buffet service should be cancelled if he is not able to provide this service, decently, to his customers.The mango lassi was complementary but it was watery and tasted bland. The milk of the rice pudding smelled, which was unfortunate, since this was the only dessert offered.Pros- I liked the vegetable mushroom sauce and biryani rice. My sister said the chickpea sauce was good. The waiter was kind and prompt. And we had a good time telling everyone the unbelievable and comical experience we had there.

Restaurants like this spoils the name of Indian restaurants over all. Place smelled foul start from the entrance. Highly recommended to keep off unless there is drastic change to the ambience and food quality.

The food is good here, but I ordered food here at 8 o’clock and drove 30 minutes to get it. I showed up at 8:45 to the front door locked, lights off and employees walking out the back. Called up and they refuse to do anything even though they admitted to leaving early. They tried to tell me I was late although I showed up before their closing time. They said they would check the cameras and I told them to do it, then they wouldn’t do it because they know they left early. Absolutely appalled at their lack of customer service and unprofessional employees. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and was told that’s not possible. For that they deserve 1 star. Will not go back despite their food being good. Whoever owns this business needs to sit down with their employees because they are way out of line.

Christopher Lincoln: Yesterday was my first time coming here. The food is excellent, I highly recommend if you really want real authentic Indian/Middle Eastern food. They have a wide selection of choices and the portions they give you are huge. It's very favorable and filling. The customer service was very welcoming the guest representative actually assisted me on my choices. I certainly will be back. I might be back tomorrow that's how good the food is here.
Jennifer Kallias: Wonderful food for a very reasonable price in a no-frills setting. The curries were spicy enough but not overwhelming so and had tons of flavor. Rice was especially good! The gentleman (owner?) serving us was very friendly. Nicely sized dining room for eating on site or very convenient for grab-and-go. We're happy we stumbled upon it--perfect stop for a quick lunch before heading to The College Basketball Experience a block and a half away!

Vassili Ganzen: Open til 2:30 pm. I came at 1:55, grabbed the menu and made an order at the "bar". The server invited me to sit any anywhere. I got a table that was set for one person. After washing my hands in the restroom I sat back down. The server poured water to a couple that was having lunch at a different table and asked me if wanted some water as well. I said yes, but she hesitated as she mentioned the order had to be a carry out only and that I could not consume it there.Confused, I confirmed their closing time was 2:30 and asked why the other people could eat in. Alexandra Grant: Don't sleep on this place! I ordered dinner here last night for take out, and was floored by this meal. The portions were HUGE, the flavors were on point, and everything stayed fresh and traveled well-- as if we were eating at the restaurant.I highly recommend the pakora. My god, so good. The chicken was also SO tender and flavorful. Definitely get a couple sauces as well; they were so delicious and added a little zip to everything.I think I should add that the gentleman that helped us pick up our order was so polite! I highly recommend this place.

Shaan Somani: Wow, such a unique blend of Pakistani and Indian cuisine! The lamb korma, achari chicken, and paneer masala were all excellent (the lamb especially was so tender). I also loved the samosa chaat, which was super filling for the price. Next time I'm going to ask them to make it a bit spicy, but otherwise the flavors were spot on. The outdoor patio space was also lovely. I look forward to coming back soon!

When we called to complain, the girl was very rude. And food did not taste the same. The quality was bad and the portion was very little.

Philip Hooser: Always absolutely delicious. My summer is never complete without a glass of the skunjvee -- a not too sweet and very flavorful lemonade of sorts. Just drink it. The covid protocols are sensible: only carry out or eat on their patio, which is comfy and delightful. Some of the best samosas in the area and so many yummy sauces. I love dinner here, and the spiced mango makes my day.

J Powers: We were in town visiting friends, and they recommended Kurry Leaves for dinner.There was a short wait on Saturday evening, but not overly long. Once seated, they brought bottled water and took our drink order. When they brought back our drinks they took our dinner order. The food came out quick and hot.Everything we ordered was excellent. The spicyness was perfect, the lamb and chicken dishes were both cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices.We will stop in again when we get back to Overland Park, KS.
