KC Improv Comedy Club & Dinner Theatre: what do users think?
Karla: First timer. Visited 6/17/2023. When i bought tickets, it specifically said it's four people per table. We bought 2 tickets (husband and I), we knew our table would be shared with two other people but omg.... We felt like sardines. There's absolutely no room. The table was so small that if all four of us were to buy food, the plates would not fit. Please do something about this. Also our server messed up our tickets and he went back to fix them and then came back with the same messed up tickets. We finally got someone else to fix them.
Jay Jader: Absolutely amazing show!!! Thank you so much. I even got to meet Andrew and his fellow Comics.
Bradley Weir (BWeir): I really love all of the comedians they bring in to Kansas City. I also like the idea of how their seats are sold in order of purchase. The 4-stars is due to how tightly crammed everyone is together. I once sat on the right side of the stage with a seat to the left. There's no room to adjust your seat since you're literally touching the person behind you. I just had to settle watching the show with a stiff neck- it can take the fun out of the experience. A different style of seating would make this venue easily 5-stars. The food, drinks, and service are all stellar otherwise.
corita mathews: Best comedy club ever
Mrs. Yvonne Reed: Just saw Marlon Wayans at last night's early show - He was the BEST I've seen at the Improv!!! And I've seen a lot. He's funnier in real life. I love how he keeps the memory of his parents alive, especially his mom. I felt that deep in my soul. I still have my mom, and I'll call her daily from here on out. He should be the 5th Wayans Millionaire!!!!!
Benjamin Hanke: The show was great. Food was very good. Just a little pricey
Sam V: Great club. The comedians were awesome and the food was good. We all had a good time.
Daniel Rogers: Fun experience
Vernon Tyrell (Tyrell): Great night out with the wife. I will be going back as soon as I can.
candace middleton: Bill Bellamy was excellent his opening act was amazing!
J Peckman: Nice as always, staff was friendly. Great show, glad stand up Comedy is back.
J Clymore: If you can get enough people to fill a table so you don't have to share with randoms.
Rayona Pryor: We went to see Bill Bellamy the show itself was great but the atmosphere not so much. We were on top of each other with a shared table I couldn't even sit my food on the table had to hold it in my hand. The servers were walking over people tripping and bumping guests. Just open another row up I paid the price I would like to sit comfortably and laugh in peace.
CAT: This is my fiancé and I’s third time at the Improv! They always have a great lineup of comedians!! The food was great as well as the drinks! The only reason I gave them 4/5 stars is because of the seating… it’s a bit tight and their tables are pretty small…
Brian Sword: A lot of fun! Food and Drinks are overpriced, but otherwise a nice place to catch a comedy show.
Nishia Plattner: I've been to the Improv many times. This time, I got to see Tony Baker! He is hilarious it was a great show!
Michele Puckett: We visited a week ago, our first time. The show was funny. We sat at table 67 price $29 (per ticket), but it was a struggle to hear. The very next week we paid for VIP tickets price $94 (per ticket) we were seated in the same row at table 69 a total of 4 feet from our first seats. I asked the person at the front door if that was correct given our VIP tickets we were still the same amount of rows back. He was rude, and said that was the computers selection. Consequently VIP tickets are not worth 3 times the price of general admission tickets.
Keshia Hunter: I had a blast! My lemon drop martini was on point, not to sweet and just strong enough.Tony Tone was freaking hilarious, had me crying 🤣🤣🤣. Impersonations were on point to.Then Mr. Don DC Curry-funny af and factual. Loved them💜 God bless🙏🏾
Ala Abston: Terrible service
Donna Bailey: It was a great experience super nice people S service was great
Amy Holtzinger: Great comedians scheduled for this year!

The Coterie Theatre: what do users think?
Real Estate Queen Dena Odom: We saw Don't let the Pigeon drive the bus. That play was hilarious. The actress, Daphany Edwards, that played the bus driver did an amazing job
Cathryn Adams: The show was amazing. Loved the theater set up for kids to really be up close and feel like a part of it.Pigeons should not drive the bus.
tika castilleja: My almost-9-year-old LOVED "Don't Let the Penguin Drive the Bus". Parents, too! Good view no matter where you sit, but if you want center seats, show up early. Comfortable temperature. Great experience. Your kids will love it!
Matthew Davids: My son and I had a great time watching high class actors put on an entertaining show for many! The house manager could have been a little more upfront about the rules in place when it came to the areas not to sit in. Instead of assuming we knew but other than that it was a great time!
Paulo Oliveira: A ton of fun with my daughter and their school field trip. I recommend the musical "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus". The kids loved it
Kyle Tritsarolis: Amazing experience. It’s the equivalent of seeing your favorite band in a small intimate venue, but for kids. The staff is extremely friendly and great with kids. The actors are outstanding and do an excellent job putting on a show for the little ones.Definitely worth going regularly and seeing the different shows
Kevin Seaman: The plays here are always great. They are enjoyable for not only my kids, but also my wife and me.
Carolyn Elrod: Delightful
Jamie Lee: Great shows as always.
Void Sprite: The play and actors were great! Although the director/writer of the play was a bit rude to my family before we saw the play. Other than that 10/10.
Charity Baker: Very good environment and play was exceptional.
Jared Thorp: We always have a blast here. We have been several times and have never been disappointed
Bailey H: I recently attended a play with my preschooler’s class. We saw “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. The show was really great. The actors and live band did a great job keeping the many small children engaged and excited. The staff were very organized and worked great with the little kids, getting everyone seated and comfortable in an efficient manner. I would definitely recommend visiting for a fun family outing or class field trip.
Rachel McWilliams: We went to see a Charlie Brown Christmas at the Coterie & it was fantastic! The kids loved it! We will definitely be back for another show!
Joe Hannel: You need to turn the heat on during productions. It was FREEZING in the audience.
Donna Reeder: The Kindergarteners loved the Christmas show! High energy and friendliness poured from the cast and the kids caught the excitement.
Kate Berryman: Performances here are fun for kids. We really like outdoor events they hold!
Jessica Kueker: One of KCs gems, Electric Poe is truly special. Never been disappointed in a performance from the Coterie.
Waco Porter: Not a bad seat in the house and great shows.
Wanda Brown: Akeelah and the Bee. Excellent production. Enjoyed myself but the Theater was very cold which made it uncomfortable for me 10-1-2022 @ 2:00p
Hehehheheheheh Hop: Our 1st time attending a show. It was a Birthday Gift for my Granddaughters. We really enjoy the show.
