I’ve used hearing aids about 14 years and trust me when I say that there is a variance of staff and procedure between different hearing aid centers. Sam Buchanan gave me an ear exam then tested each ear independently for sound and pitch and I even had a special test for deep inner ear (which was new for me). I feel complete and confident with the charted results ! Beltone will work with my Medicare and soon I’ll have new hearing aids! Take someone with you during your test. You know, the person that talks to you but looks away when talking to you…or they are in a different room then get upset because they wish you could hear better! Get your life back… little kids and adults want to talk with you AND it is so sweet to hear again!

klintous: Randy helped me with my hearing issues. He took the time to find about myself, and the root causes before going through the acoustic tests. I knew I was in good hands when Randy left the examination room momentarily to grab my printed test results, and a client got his attention. The lady first gave Randy a huge hug, and profusely thanked him for adding to her quality of life. Most importantly, Randy Youmans was extremely empathetic to my hearing challenges, and gave me tips to preserve my hearing. Ultimately, he recommended that I don't need any hearing devices, and wished me well.

Christy Roetman: UPDATE: I was contacted by the doctor that saw me and he apologized for coming across annoyed and said that he did not feel that way and he apologized that I felt that way. They contacted my insurance to figure out what my insurance considered a routine exam and got the same answer I did which wasn't an answer at all from them, because they could not tell them or myself what a "routine exam" entailed. Therefore since it wasn't explained or basically it was put on to each individual office to determine if it was a routine exam they refunded my copay. He seemed very genuine when he spoke with me and wanted to make sure that I did indeed understand the results and went over the tests that he did. I believe in second chances and since they understood the headache I have had with my Medicare advantage plan on getting actual answers and he apologized and explained things further I would go back to this office. I have updated my review.I have a Medicare Advantage plan with a hearing screening/test that I was able to have for freeper my policy. I made sure Associated Audiologists was in network and explained what my insurance said and even brought in the paperwork stating what I was eligible to receive at no cost when I went to my appointment. The woman at the front desk was very friendly every time I had to interact with her. I let her know what my benefit said and we proceeded to make the appointment. I went there expecting not to have to pay anything as that is what my insurance stated when I called them. However, when I went to the appointment the woman at the front desk said that I had a copay and I explained that I was the one who had called and that my insurance stated that I could have this screening / testing done at no charge. She said well that is up to the doctor so in order to do the appointment I would have to pay the co-payment until I met with him. So I did. I met with the doctor and he said that my insurance was incorrect even though I had called them and I brought in the paperwork from my insurance company showing I didn't have to pay anything. I tried to talk with him about this and he basically said that what they provided was more than a screening / simple hearing test. I tried to discuss this further and pretty much was told to go sit in a booth to begin the exam. I did have to pay the co-pay. I have had hearing screenings before years ago and the exam that I was given was not much more than what I've had for a hearing screening. This doctor seemed annoyed like I was taking up his free time or something. There were no other patients in the waiting room and I got right into the exam room so I don't know what the issue was with why he seemed irritated / annoyed. He did not seem to be worried about me having to pay the copay and that my insurance would reimburse it but that what he did was probably considered more than a hearing screening/test. The exam took less than 10 to 15 minutes at most. He gave me some paper with results and said my hearing was fine. He did not seem very friendly and seemed like he wasn't really wanting to discuss any questions that I had about the results. I left there wishing I would not have went through with the screening/test. And then a few weeks later I received a bill for an additional $20!!! I personally feel like the entire appointment was a waste of time and money.

Chris Smith: I finally broke down and used my Medicare Advantage to get my hearing evaluated. I am now using Widex aids and love them. Dr. York and associates are prompt, professional, and follow all best practices. After a couple of weeks of trial, I am really comfortable with the aids and have just finished my first follow up with one minor adjustment to my aids. The process has been user friendly, comfortable, professional, and less expensive than I expected. I highly recommend this office and Dr. York specifically.

Many years of shooting guns, racing cars and motorcycles and listening to loud music Tore my ears up. In the end, she ordered hearing aids that were 100% covered by his Medicare Advantage plan and we left feeling like they may not be the perfect choice, but they are going to be good enough. $0 out of pocket is a risk we are willing to take. As soon as Dr. Youmans finished with the patient he was presently seeing, he took care of the problem by repairing the hearing aid himself. This is ALWAYS a happy ending!

Greg Curtis: I went in because I have been having trouble hearing ppl and wanting to get my hearing aids adjusted. I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and that all I needed was a cleaning. Even after having them cleaned I am still having trouble hearing ppl and my TV. I left there feeling like that my opinion didn't matter. Very unsatisfied and thinking about taking my business elsewhere. I doubt I will even hear anything back about this. Time will tell I guess.

Joyce Espy: I went here with a friend 3 years ago and was tested, and Randy, the man who ran the test, was honest enough to tell me I didn’t need hearing aids yet! So today I went back to get some hearing aids checked that I recently got somewhere else. He spent an hour readjusting them and making sure I understood the limitations of hearing aids and how to use them correctly.
