KC Pet Project - Zona Rosa Adoption Center: what do users think?
Stephen Andrist: I love going there I want to adopt all the animals 🤣
Tom Hamilton: Brought home a puppy 😄
SamsGarageSale: Fantastic organization
Kelly Colwell: Great place for the price, clean, quiet and reasonable. Just off main strip, neighborhood was safe.
lords of ambrosia: had a fantastic experience the staff was extremely helpful and I got a furry best friend
Amber McCurry: The people here are amazing and animals are definitely well kept!
Toni: Long story short: we went in one day "to look" and we left with a cat 😅 We visited about three weeks to a month ago now. It was right after I had to put my 15 year old childhood cat down. I was sad and I wanted to look at cats. We hung around for over an hour (maybe closer to two or three. Bless those poor workers 😅 I know they were sick of us but were too nice to say) I didn't tell them why we were there, I couldn't speak it aloud but we played with some of the cats, and my boyfriend fell in love with a sweet little orange guy who we decided to name Gideon. 🧡It was tough having a new cat so soon after the last one, but I think he needed me as much as I did him. The silence hurt me more than his presence so for that, I thank KC Pet Project for putting up with my indecisive-ness and for being so good. Highly recommend. 💖 Enjoy the small spam 🧡
Alexis Smith: My boyfriend and I adopted our fur baby from here. Staff was amazing, greeted us at the door and when we had questions about dogs we were provided with background knowledge. We got to personally meet a couple of dogs in a private room, found our match and we are so happy with her ! thank you for our furrever friend
Just Sturgis: I love the KC Pet Project organization and what they do, but this particular location is not great. It's not very well kept and the staff there seemed sort of apathetic and somewhat disinterested in helping me resolve my problem.I say this with some degree of sadness as typically this organization is on top of things. By contrast, the KC Pet Project main location is extraordinary. It's extremely clean and organized and the staff at that location or wonderfully empathetic. Maybe Zona Rosa was having an off day? I hope so.
Angel Krattiger: I came in today with my two children (9yo) to adopt a puppy. Staff was kind and helpful, the facility was clean and organized, and we were on the way home within an hour with our new best friend! Thank you! (Tilly is now Mikasa or Mika for short)
April Al-Mahdawi: After going to several places to find a new kitty, I called KC Pet Project in Zona Rosa, and they told me they had a whole room of kitties to choose from! My children and I went and held several kittens, and one caught our eye. The process was easy, and the staff was friendly and were able to help with questions. We took him home that day, and he is an amazing cat!
John Montgomery: Helpful attendants knowledgeable about my problem. This place is easily accessible by bus or car. Offered to check a stary kitten which found( me ) for a micro chip.Lots of lonely dogs in clean cages looking bright eyed pick no pick me kind sir. Great place. Was given referral to Branch KC Pet project near the KC Zoo.
Chrystal Reaves: They Fostered & Found A new Home For Our Dog When We Weren't Able To Take Him With Us To Out New Place. KC Pet Project Is Amazing!!!
Dennis Claus: SORRY, But" ODER" in the Zona Rosa KC Pet Projects building was Terrible the Last two times I was in there. Also, the Last time I was there, there were 3 women Talking around the Desk Laughing and as I walked around and looked at the Dogs, Not one of them ask if they could HELP Me!Adopted 2 dogs from the Old store several years back and had No issues then.
Roy Stewart: Exceptional Volunteers
Judy Lewis: Service was great but the details that are left out. On the advertisement for the weekend of the holiday. That adoption was $22. And then you find out that when you adopt a puppy it's $300. That was a little rough take and because it was for the child that was with me. I couldn't say no it was for Christmas. I was a lot of money that I didn't expect to pay.
SOLIDUSK GOD'S LION: Great people, they take good care of the dogs!Excellent family experience 👏
Grant Fowler: A great bunch of dedicated staff. Please donate when you can, its worth it!
Lisa “Lisalu”: Donations to help with the animals we love. In memory of a Dear friend.
ron boone: Good people doing a great thing very clean very professional nice place
Meba Conway: They have so many pets there they were all so gorgeous I did find me one but he was very rambunctious off the hook but he was a great dog but I took him back for another one but it was a great experience that I can say in the staff is very friendly and very helpful thank you

KC Pet Project at KCCAC: what do users think?
Teresa Dollison: everyone was very nice and would come in and check on you and your pet I thank everyone for being very welcome there
Larissa Mitchell: I absolutely recommend getting a pet from KC Pet Project. Staff is very helpful in making sure you go home with the perfect dog that will fit both your and the pet's needs.
charles Williams: Very caring people!
Chase Coleman: My cats had ran away, and one died and these people did nothing. I had left a previous review but I took it down because I see others on here are kinda making the message clear.I had posted a different review not to long ago in regards to a kitty that I had got that passed away over night within 24 hours of bringing it home. I took it down because I was so heart broken over having problems. But now I will say, while I was at this place, I witnessed 3 cats puking in their kennels. I even said something to a employee about one of the cats. And she acted like it was okay.Discrimination happens here alot. Be awareThey use tax dollars to pay laura vahn to come to your house and harass you when you are disabled. They don't want to help solve problems. As you can see they would rather cause issues then try to fix them..This shelter also kills animals
Cody Calhoun: I can't praise this place enough. We just adopted a dog from here this week and it was such a positive experience. The staff was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE and PATIENT. We met with a couple dogs and never felt rushed. When they supervised our dog to dog meeting they were extremely vigilant and ensured the safety of our current dogs. I wish I remembered the names of all the staff that helped my GF and I out because they were all amazing! Facilities were very clean and it seems like they really do there best to understand each dog's behavior and personality before adopting them out.
Corrin H: I brought in a sick and injured cat who had been living outside. Tiger at KC Pet Project welcomed us in and helped us through the process. They were so kind and compassionate, and explained everything thoroughly. Thank you KC Pet Project and Tiger for providing care to the animals that need it most.
Avada Reducto: Zero stars. We went after hearing they needed cats adopted. Got there and was very uncomfortable place to begin with. Now we have to say what pronouns we want or we can’t check in. Then after 20 mins of watching everyone sitting down/ eating/play fighting we left. No one was working or helping anyone that was there. Guess they really didn’t need to get cats adopted out cause no one would get up off their phones and help anyone.
Lesa Osgood: Very nice new facility. Good dog play areas. The cat rooms are clean and there was a volunteer there petting the cats when I was there today.I am sad that the facility is over full.
Mitch Nettles: Horrible experience. Spent 3 hours here and only saw 2 dogs. They don't let you see the dogs you want to see and steer you to the dogs they want you to see. You should be allowed to go pen by pen and watch the dogs and see the ones you want a meet and greet with. They bring them out one by one or tell you "this one is not a fit for you". How do they know how a dog will do in a totally new and different environment. I wanted to see 8 dogs but they said 5 were not a good match. Let me pick my own dog!!!
Jay Mexico8: Really great.
shannon beebe: Took a Very long time to even see a cat and you have to fill out stuff before you even get to look. You better figure out if you are a she it or a there there or he her, thats a question, No more Mr. & Mrs. Disgusting i say. Anyway Most animals are in foster homes so they won't be there. That is a good thing though.
William Fruits: Won't do their job.
Emily HV: I Had Brought A Dog That I found on the streets & After a week and months, I kept calling to check up on him & they always tell me they CANNOT give me any information. DOES IT EVEN MAKES SENSE ? I'll definitely give this place 0 STARS if I could. I literally gave my information out when I filled out the paper form & also had verified the Info as well. I AM THE FOUNDER AND THE ONE WHO BROUGHT HIM TO THIS PLACE & They can't even tell me How he is doing or tell me what had happened to the dog. COME ON. DO NOT BRING ANY TYPE OF PET TO THIS place. They probably KILL THEM and make you think they're taking care of them. That's why they didn't want to tell me because they probably KILLED HIM.
Christine James: Went in today to see one of the dogs, had to go home and get my pups for a required meet and greet to proceed. While I was driving from KCPP to my home and then immediately back to the facility the dog was adopted out to someone else. Just to be clear, I had conversations about next steps, was gone no more than one hour (Had to drive 20 minutes away to my home) and no consideration was given to the efforts I was taking. The first come, first served policy is destructive. Perhaps let people sign a form stating they will be back and charge their credit card if they do NOT return. I am unlikely to try to adopt through KCPP after this experience.
Ira Kullot: My girlfriend and I waited over an hour and a half to see the cats. We support kc pet project and everything they do. That said, there needs to be some accountability. It was very frustrating having to wait that long. The people at the front desk said since they're not on the feline team there's nothing they can do. If others have this experience it significantly reduces the opportunity of the cats getting adopted. Please improve your visitation processes.
laura greenspan: What a beautiful building! Staff is amazing the building is set up in a way for the animals to thrive and given the best quality care! Shout out to Bria for an amazing tour of this amazing place!
Ricardo Vargas: I am currently at the admissions center at KCCAC, and I would like to raise recognition to Derek, who just demonstrated high morals, professional ethics, humanity, and high respect for pet owner rights. Two women walked in with a dog that they apparently found on the streets. One of the girls behind the counter scanned him and found a microchip on him. They pulled up the owner's information, and Derek politely informed the women about the right procedure:1. Notify owner2. Wait for the owner to claim their pet3. If unclaimed, pay the adoption fee4. Take ownership of petThe women became upset that they had to pay for a dog they had found and clearly stated they could have kept him. Derek repeated how the process works and stated once more that the dog has an owner and they have a right to recover their pet. After having to repeat himself several times, he told them how they wouldn't like someone taking their dog.The two women walked out with the dog in tow, and Derek promptly followed them gathered necessary information so they could notify the owner and involve the authorities.I hope he sets an example to all staff here at KCCAC, as he clearly reflects the values that a place like this should uphold. Be proud to have someone like him working for pet and pet owner rights.
I Am Remnant: Definitely doesn’t care too much about animals as far as I can see. Disappointed. I called and called only to get transferred to different departments until I finally got to someone. I found a mother cat with eight kittens. I can tell she just had them. Because the blood and other things that come with giving birth. I was told that they couldn’t help. The mother looks like she may have been attacked by a dog. She has a hole in her body. And seems like she can’t see very well. It breaks my heart because I don’t know how she is going to be able to watch over her babies being in that condition. She turns her head a certain way oddly so I am really concerned. I can’t take her in but my daughter goes out to try to feed her and give her water and put a box out there with training pads that we use for our dog in a box. She has to pick the mama cat up and then the babies out the pads in there and the animals back in there. It’s really sad because she doesn’t seem to be functioning correctly. And these pet places don’t seem to help at all.
Brody Nick: I came to adopt a kitten for my girlfriend as a kind gesture! she was so happy to have a new kitty in her home & i think her little home was finally complete! a day later the cat is constantly vomiting bile & won’t eat drink or anything! we took her back to see if they could do a check up they said “there’s definitely something obstructing her bowles!” so we were going to do surguery after we found out this would be thousands of dollars for a cat we just got we thought kcpp would help! no they did everything to make sure this cat didn’t come back to me! they made sure to not take blame for anything so now the kitty was stripped from our home & im not allowed to get her back after weeks of them not helping me & making me feel at fault for this poor kitten i just adopted! ill never refer this place never will be here again & i feel for the MANY other family’s this has happened too!
Nicole Ten Napel: Adopted my 3-legged friend from kc pet project. It was clear he got the best medical care there and the adoption process was easy and painless. The staff is always friendly and willing to chat!
Amanda Schroeder: I adopted my two adorable cat roommates here, and now I go volunteer to contribute where I can spending time with the shelter animals.

Rogue Wilde: This is one of the better petsmarts in the area for selection of food specifically cat food. The reason my low review you might inquire. Their fish. They are doing the right thing by not selling them due to some is it bacteria? Algae? Issue. Here's my deal this is like 3 months now that I can't buy no fish from this pet smart. Look I know Rogue just go to another pet smart. They had a betta 2 weeks ago from 2/14/23 I was going to adopt. NO BETTAS! TF! Will I still give this store my business yes. Just fix your fish issue soon please. I want fishies!

Jacob Miller: Fun place.

Wayside Waifs: what do users think?
Laurie Barker (hockeypro17): I just adopted my 2nd dog in 12 yrs from Wayside Waifs and this experience was just as great as the 1st. Matt, the adoption counselor, was so nice and friendly and gave us great advice on things we hadn't thought about. We love our dog...Nino the pit bull❤️
Kelsey Smith: It’s unfortunate that I put a 1 star review. Why am I doing as such? 1) as far as I have ever known they are a no kill shelter — this is not true. 2) they don’t use euthanasia as a source of last resort - they do it just to free up space. What was done to Poppi was unbelievably wrong on many levels. Poppi had a rescue willing to pull him and ensure he was put into a loving foster or adoptive family. That he was properly loved and cared for. There was quite literally not one good reason to euthanize this dog and you inhumanely stole a life — just to do it.I’d be ashamed of myself if I were in any of your shoes….
Tracy Gray: If I could give negative stars, I would. Wayside Waifs murdered a dog that legally belonged to another rescue, claiming ownership based on false information. He had no bite history and they euthanized due to barrier reactivity after less than a week, even though they were told we were actively working on finding a foster.UPDATE: It was NOT untreatable. You did not do a proper behavior assessment, and your people admitted as much. And we even offered to come handle him ourselves. Save your lies for the publicity ops.
emily sunseri: It was posted online that someone attempted to bring a dog here and they told them to dump the dog back where they found it cause they needed “permission” from animal control, they have repeatedly shown they do not care about animals safety and care, do not support them.
Ashley SoBougee: I had a better experience the second time around with adopting. I came in and talked to a rep. I told her that I wanted a small dog. $35 special. I got a poodle. I Luv him. I enjoyed the experience.
David Varner: Got there right at 5 after being told by someone that they were open for this event till later. Rude people told me they were closed and would not let us even look. Terrible. Will never go there again. As a business owner myself, I go out of my way to accommodate people even if they come right at closing. What is more important? Adopting an animal? Or going home to sit around and watch TV?? Will NEVER go back!!!
Mike: Don't try calling to see if the one dog you might be interested in is available. We called twice (within two hours of them opening mind you on a week day).It went to their voicemail both times. We then made the 20 minute trip out there to be told the dog was already gone. Basic communication skills aren't there.
Cathy Roney: We were excited to get our dog until her personality started changing and she started whining a lot, has tripped her owner several times. Later when asked to bring her back the lady on the phone said, yeah, those puppy mill dogs are very unstable. We were never told she was a puppy mill dog, just that her owner was being evicted and couldn’t keep her, running a puppy mill will get you evicted. We were deceived and lied to and now they say we can’t give her back for at least 8 weeks. If you want to trust these people that’s on you guys. I don’t recommend them at all.
Ruthie Wu: I found my perfect cat (now emotional support animal) here and I’m on my seventh foster today! I love the staff and how much they care not only for their animals but the community. It’s one of the biggest shelters I’ve visited and they take great care to make sure their rescues reach the right forever home for them.
Lexi Betterfly: They looked at me werid and the people made me and my family wait in there for 30 minutes and the dog try to attack my dog
Brenda Smith: This shelter is beautiful. The staff is very nice & professional. All shelters should be like this !!! ♥
Lauryn Massey: Both me and my sister have adopted cats from Wayside and both of us have had bad experiences. We have the sweetest cats, but hers brought Ringworm home to her other cats (still dealing with months later because it's so contagious, and that they insisted had multiple negative ringworm tests) and mine has a gum disease they didn't disclose to me that requires a $1000+ dental surgery in the next few weeks. I emailed them about it and they said they noted some inflammation in his front teeth (not the ones that have actual issues, also no notes of it in the medical forms they gave me). We don't trust their vets, or maybe the cats aren't examined enough but either way expect a lot of vet bills after you leave this place. I tried fighting for them to cover part of my cat's surgery because it's legit been four days since I got him, and he did not develop this gum disease overnight, but they want me to schedule an appointment to see him (they know I live an hour away) before telling me if they would help cover the costs or if they could provide the surgery and they won't reimburse anything outside of Wayside. Super disappointed.
Brianna Sakamoto-Jones: They were very kind, helpful and they helped us take a little precious puppy home who we love dearly ❤️
Thomas Hook: We had our pet cremated there and they were amazing. They helped us bring her in on a soft bed and give us time to say goodbye. Then when we got her back they give us a lot of things to remember her by and a note that made us ball our eyes out in the parking lot. The two ladies that were at the front gave us all the help we needed and helped us through the process.
Erin Matt Wedding: Amazing location and dedicated staff!
Phil Wieand: I had my cat cremated at Wayside Waifs just last week. Rachael and Victoria are amazing. When I brought her home I decided to look at the ashes of previous pets I've had. 2 of them were not done correctly and I had them done in another state. I contacted Victoria and she let me bring my other 2 pets ashes in to be corrected for free. They turned out great and the way you expect ashes to look. I am very impressed by the service I received for the pet memorial services.
monica dabbs-logan: Only putting one star because I have to to in order to post this review. Zero stars would be better. Their policy on looking at dogs is awful and hurtful to families. You shouldn’t be able to look at multiple dogs back to back and make other families wait for a decision to be made before they can even have a chance. We went to look at a certain dog but was told she was in isolation and wouldn’t be able to be seen. Only to hear an hour or so later that another family was given a chance to see her. We were able to see her but after we fell in love and wanted to adopt her we were told the other family finally decided and we’re taking her. Once you move past a dog, that dog should be fair for anyone to adopt if they fall in love with them. If there isn’t an $30 hold on the dog it should be fair game. Absolutely heartbreaking to see and play with a dog and fall in love and know she would be a perfect fit only for another family to take her. Even though we were there first we didn’t even have a chance.
Dometrius Cunningham: Worst place ever...never answer any phon calls...can never get in touch with anybody..smh
Steve Calovich: Kudos to WW's for hosting the Missouri House Rabbit Society!
Alexandra Rosell: I can’t say enough good things about Wayside Waifs!! I just adopted a kitty from there, and my experience was amazing. The staff and volunteers were so patient and knowledgeable, and they obviously really care about what they do. If anyone from the cat team is reading this, Kitty Boi says hi, and he’s very happy in his new home!!
Trisha A: I adopted a kitten here last year and had a fantastic experience, the staff were all very nice and helpful and I love my baby more than anything.

Great Plains SPCA Pet Adoption Center: what do users think?
William Campbell: Great working with the staff. We got a really cute dog
Ally Rose: I adopted one of my dogs from there and also volunteered there. Great Plains is wonderful. The care they provide their animals is amazing. The staff are so incredible and they truly put their heart and souls into caring for these animals and findings them wonderful forever homes. It is a wonderful place to adopt, they provide you with all the resources you would need (currently taking our dog through obedience 101 which is amazing), they are chipped, well vetted, and receive behavior evaluations throughout their time there. They also provide amazing resources for the dogs of the community who need some extra love. It’s also a great place to volunteer! Adopt don’t shop! 🙂
shannon laber: They are very helpful
Beth Byrd-Lonski: Our go to place for all of our pets
Bridget Steiner: Love how dedicated people are to the help of animals here. They don't get paid enough. The animals are well taken care of and after working here myself a couple of years ago, it's the BEST place in Kansas to adopt not shop ❤️ don't go out and get a $3000 dog.Alot of shelter dogs are put down everyday because people buy puppy mill dogs and dogs that people force to get pregnant just bc they wanna be selfish. Don't be that person. Go here and save a life.
EnderHX: Great place to volunteer and find fur-ever homes for furry friends.
Valerie Panther: Awesome non-profit👍👍👍
Josh Roth: No longer a "No Kill" shelter. Today, Director Tracy initiated a new policy that will require pregnant female cats and dogs to be spayed unless they are actively going through labor. Labor only takes place in the 62-64 day of pregnancy, meaning any cat or dog that comes in pregnant to the shelter that is not actively going through labor, determined by temperature, will be immediately spayed, which in-turn kills any babies in the womb. She falsely claimed that kittens and puppies can not survive outside of the womb at the end of the pregnancy which is not true based on simple research. Please don't let them do this, fight and let your voice be heard for these innocent aborted kittens and puppies. @MissionDriven @KCTV5 @KMBC9 @ASPCA
John Simmons: Dropped off blankets, cat food and empty pill bottles for the critters. Easy to find, easy to donate and a great organization. Got our cat there and can't say enough good things about them.
Cailey Garrett: This place is awesome! Herb was the one who helped us adopt our kitty Elvis, and he was seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The process was so easy and we got to take home our kitty right away. They take such good care of the animals and I would recommend this place over and over! Thank you Herb and all of the other staff as well!
Gabrielle Trimble: Was a great experience! The staff was helpful and understanding. Tinkerbell will be a great addition to our family. Dad is so excited 😊 🤗. THANK YOU TO THE MANAGER AND STAFF. You are my heros!!
leah hoss: Went in to look at cats. They no longer let you go into any of the cat room unless you have a worker. So if the workers are busy you're screwed. Used to love the old set up and I'm not quite sure why they changed. Makes it very hard to meet a cat that you are compatible with. We only got to meet the one cat that was roaming around. Definitely a night and day difference from how it used to be.
Daniel Langston (DaOneEyedBear): Absolutely amazing, just wish they mention somehow before going in that they stop adoption process an hour or more before close, since the process takes long to complete, which is understandable. It would be good to have that knowledge going in. We've been pretty impressed with the background history knowledge of our fur-baby they had on file and upcoming appointments that they'll be needing in the future to continue their care. We appreciate the kindness and adoption process for our new companion! Another thing to keep in mind is to provide your own pet carrier if needed for a cat or small animal, they'll have them for sale at the location but if you have one bring it, it's best to save some money!
mila riscoe: Had to wait hour and a half to pet the cats.last time I went it was nice but I will not be going there again.
Cora Finson: I am a firm believing in rescuing animals but this shelter has really left a negative impression with how they operate. There was a dog brought in months ago that was pregnant. I was interested in the dog and soon to be puppies story and found the foster parent on social media to follow their story. I very soon fell in love with these puppies, watching them develop their spunky personalities. I knew I wanted one of these puppies to join our family and was hoping I had the opportunity to do so. The day I saw they would be coming to the shelter my boyfriend called and was informed no one had called or filled out a form for them. We would be the first ones in line. He went immediately to the shelter before they even were opened and filled out an application. He later called to check in and another associate said it would be managers decision. He then called the following day to check on the puppies surgery and see if there was an update. He was informed, very rudely, they would let him know when they make a decision. Adoption day comes, they post it on Facebook they are available for adoption and to call or come in if interested. He then calls to be informed they went with someone else. Note, we have already filled out forms with this shelter and passed background checks, so it wasn’t that. It’s very disheartening knowing you could be meeting a puppy and fill out the forms and go to pick it up and they decided to give it to someone else. Knowing that is how this shelter operates, I will never be adopting from them or encouraging anyone else too. Sad for any animal that ends up there as they are the ones being punished for bad experiences.
Nathan Kovac: No longer does treatment for public.
Derek Kemp: Called about my missing dog, spoke to someone then got transferred and hung up on
deb johnson: Dog training classes.
Kellan Dawson: Thank you for taking in the sweet doggie and two kitty cats this awful person left behind in their apartment home. Your hard work and constant efforts should NEVER go unrecognized!
Carole O: Very friendly and helpful!
Lindsey Coffey: Seriously great experience adopting a dog here. They went above and beyond in helping and taking their time with us. I will recommend them to anyone I know looking to add a new member to their family.

CHARLES CUSICK: Good place with good choices ..pet trainer Donna very good..prices are average..will go back.
Travis Harris: They have just about everything you need for your fur babies, fish and lizards. The is super helpful.
Kristi Murray: Customer service wasn’t amazing but the store was clean, organized & not busy.
J Parrick: Always helpful staff, great selection of treats, toys and specialized food for all our fur babies!
Jacob Noble: Always offered great service and willingness to help the best they can.
Vance: Friendly and helpful employees
Robert Portell: A very large selection but a bit more expensive than getting it elsewhere. The staff member at checkout looked absolutely dead inside.
linda mccoy: I like that they usually have clearance items I can buy for my dogs
Daniel Henderson: The guy with blue hair is stinky 🤢 and he looked like he wanted to die. Didn't say a word other than "phone number" 😂😂
Anna Brown: Stopped in to get food for my cat and couldn't find it so I asked the cashier and she assisted me with a smile and my gift card I had actually still had a balance left so it all worked out. Remember you get good service when you treat them with kindness.
Dani Costanza: Do not use their grooming services. Staff was not helpful and seemed resistent to check my dog in for his grooming appointment (we arrived 10 minutes early; other stores have checked him in and taken him back early in the past). Upon picking him up, he was still completely wet and it does not feel or smell like he was shampoo'd. It smells like he was just hosed down, spritzed, then barely dried. I paid for nail trim/grind, teeth, ear, and eye cleaning and none of these services were performed. Go to another PetSmart salon for grooming and avoid this nightmare.
Giovanna Santora: Pricing has gone up significantly on my dog's food but at least it's consistently in stock.
Sheryl Theiss: Lots of inventory to choose from.
Sean Mccoy: Bad service
Brock Huyck: The animals seem in better shape here than most other local stores. Great service and very clean environment.
theresa kline: Friendly staffClean storeHelpful
William Wise: Cool place. Loved seeing the animals
Jim Clayton: Best place to shop for your fur babies
Donna Larson: My daughter and I got kittens and everyone was helpful and adoring our kittens.
Keino Phearse: Friendly and helpful staff. Besides pet grooming, they also have dog training classes.

Petland North Kansas City: what do users think?
Ox Wheeler: They call them selves petland yet they carry no fish supplies.
Laura R: Was okay, but honestly, is so expensive for adoption, I want a dog but this is ridicules.
Jensy Orellana: Hermosos perritos para adoptar y la gente es nice ahí ♥️
Deona Boose-Wood: Great
Sarah Lynn: The manager Brooke helped with our main lady Kelsey today. They were super understanding and extremely helpful. First time ever getting a puppy here and we left with our forever friend! We actually left the Lee summit location from being treated poorly and had 100% better experience here and changed my view on Petland! These 2 ladies went above and beyond. Kelsey being new was very honest on what she was learning on, what she knew and not knew 100% and gave us the best experience with switching out so many puppies and making sure we got 100% what we needed. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend this location to all my friends.
Timber Pong: Nice little facility. Had a lot of varieties of puppies. But they are still suffering from the shipping problems. They barely had anything on the shelves due to this.
David Reed: They shouldn’t be selling sick puppies for $3,000+. Adopt, don’t shop!
Ron Solsrud: Love it!
MinorMischief: The other evening we went to look a puppies. We get there and the door is locked and we can see the woman inside closing. The problem is that it was 30min until close (which is 9pm). So who knows how long beforehand she had actually started closing down as we never saw her come to the door and lock it. She saw us standing out there too and had a dumbfounded look as if she couldn’t believe people were there....
Scott Murphy: I get my dogs food here, the clerks are nice and always show my Husky's love when they come in. I have a rear Cooper husky so they are always wanting to see him.
Kim V: Please do not buy puppies from Petland. They buy sick puppies from puppy mills and the Campylobacter infections that resulted in dozens of people becoming so ill that they required hospitalization. This infection is antibiotic resistant and people die. Please stop getting puppies here. Always meet a puppy's mom, at the place they were born. Stop believing the statement the breeder is USDA, go to the USDA website and look up the licensed breeders, USDA has the worse breeders in the country.
Kristin Kandt: Just went there and was disappointed in the selection. This is really a place for dog afficionados - which is fine - I just have a cat whom I dearly love. Not much for cats and no fish stuf, which I am thinking of adding. Dog owners - this is for you. Nice staff. Nice and clean - just don't have what I need.
Braxton Baker: It smells pretty bad… but they have puppies to play with… I still don’t feel like it should smell like it does.
Jacob Gabriel: Red headed lady told me serious inquiries only well she told my fiance that and we had our three year old with us . We gave her no indication that we weren't potential buyers so there is no reason why she should of denied us. No stars if possible rude think it was race related .
Kim Rausch: I went into this store to buy toys for my new (adopted) cat. I cannot believe that there are pet stores still selling puppies in this day and age. I had to ask if they were up for adoption because i just couldn't believe it. Reading through the reviews about sick dogs, I notice that the establishment only responds to positive reviews and not to negative. This indicates an uncaring, untrustworthy attitude. Don't shop, adopt!
Helena Mouncey: Like the atmosphere but is centered more around dogs than cats. Picked up a couple reasonably priced carriers.
Adam White: My family and I played and purchased a sweetheart of a puppy! French bulldog named Wonton! He has been such a good puppy and a great addition to our family ever since our English Bulldog of 10 years had to be put down! Petland has been great to us, and Elvis and staff at the North KC location were fantastic to work with and helping us bring our little boy home! He's been through 1 vet visit and he checked out completely healthy!
Ash Dawson: Borderline puppy mill
Gabby Ristau: This place sold us a sick dog!!!!! Do not purchase from here. They charged us 3500 for a sick puppy. Obviously they don’t do check ups on the puppies regularly. Now I have vet fees after vet fees. I’m only selecting 1 star because I can’t give them O.
Bailey H: They buy and sell puppies that come from puppy mills from different states. Disgusting.
Karen Foster: 3 employees, all up front & not one greeted us or asked if they could help.

Edgar Varela: They helped me with my
Water Dog: Nice place, and polite staff.
Jessica: The folks in here are great - helped direct us to some lower cost vet care. They've also rented me a trap a few times for FREE, just a security deposit that doesn't get charged as long as you return the trap. Nice to have a no kill shelter like this in our area.
Lucky S.: Got both my cats micro chipped. Only cost $25 each. They were pretty accommodating with my scheduled. The entire process was super fast.
Chad Johnson: One of the friendliest places to find a new family member :)

Austin pickman: Took my buddy Yarrow/Kai in today as their were two bumps one of which was sensitive to him if poked or touched at times. Everyone their remembered him and again still very .uch cared about him even after being adopted. They also checked out his paws on his left side as his back one has been bleeding after walking . They tested the bumps he had and it was not anything threatening and they also answered all the questions about him. As I stated in another comment 5 star service. They truly care about the animals their and even still care after they leave to. I would adopt over and over again from here.
Mike Mcc: Was told I would have to wait till past noon the next day before the pet would become available for adoption when I checked the next day I found out that had been adopted that morning through one of the workers for a friend of theirs. I had seen pet the day before outside and was told I was not allowed to near it and the pet was not socialized yet or assessed as the worker put it and she rushed him back into the building. I would like to have a fair chance at a seeing the pet after 12:00 but I was deceived.
YEEZY OnDuhSalt: A group of big hearts full of puppy love providing purrfect service! No paws, go there to adopt !!!
Eunice Pryor: Would not help with lost kittens
harry finnigan: Had a fantastic time. Worth every penny and more.
Marisela Torres: My 16 year old dog was lost .and I was frantic looking for him. Great Plains SECA posted that he was found over 3 miles from home and was safe. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH !!! We will be eternally grateful
shannon laber: Loving caring people. their once a month dog food pantry is such a help.
Tracey Rosenthal: Great place
Karry Rood: It was really busy on a Friday evening. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I brought home my BooBear and have been having adventures ever since.
Glen Ortiz: Unable to surrender found cat after housing during this winter temps as instructed. So left confused and upset
David Bottemuller: Fantastic place if you're looking to adopt very friendly staff and you can tell they really care about the animals
